I love you so much!

Enjoy!

A brunette little girl was wandering inside a snowy forest somewhere in North Blue. She didn't know how many days she had to eat properly. She didn't even know how many days she had to drink normal water and not pieces of snow to quench her thirst.

But she kept in mind only one thing.

*I have to go there. I have to go to the town where everyone is happy and kind. Remember all the things mother told you. There were festivals and candies and other kids everywhere to play in the streets." she thought but suddenly her body betrayed her and fell on the ground feeling weak.

"I-I have to go there! I have a family! A grandmother, an aunt, cousins. They will want me there!" she whispered so as to encourage herself and step again on her feet.

She dragged her torso a few more meters away and could finally see the end of the forest's path that lead at this beautiful town of her mother's stories.

She suddenly forgot her exhaustion and began running to close the distance as soon as possible. To arrive to the town where everyone is happy.

10 steps

To the town where she still has a family.

6 steps

To the town where she doesn't need talents so as to be accepted.

4 steps

To the town where she can live a happy life and forget the past.

2 steps

The girl's eyes immediately filled with hot tears that fell down her cold cheeks at her heart shaped face.

The town of her dreams didn't exist anymore as it was all burned down to ashes and dust.

There were even a few lightened fire sources here and there indicating that something horrible had currently happened on this town.

We had to eliminate the contagious disease with fire. It was the only way.

This phrase will hunt her mind for the rest of her life.

So the people of this town suffered the same fate.

Having nothing more to lose, the girl crossed the endangered zone and directed herself towards the town's central square.

"Second alley, left of the big hospital." she murmured trying to remember the directions her passed mother gave her one night time at her stories.

She followed her memory and started running again while scanning the area around her either for someone who was still alive or for the white house with the big tree on the front garden, where the rest of her family lived. Or at least used to live…

The brunette almost would fall face down on the flaming ground if she hadn't put her hands for protection.

She firstly examined her bloodied hands as they were hurting like hell from the scratches and then she turned her gaze to the object on which she stumbled her feet.

But her dark brown eyes connected with a pair of wide open lifeless ones that looked at her back like searching for life inside her very soul.

The girl jumped from the shock and kept observing the half burned body an old lady on her 60 years of age, holding tightly on her hug a little boy, probably her cousin.

She would recognize this beloved woman everywhere in front of her even though she only saw her a few times in her whole life.

"Grandmother…" she left a whisper of pure pain escape her lips and kneeled down on the body's level to embrace it like her own life depended from it.

Well it was everything had left to call a 'family' in this world and her heart was shattered to pieces for once again.

She lifted her head and glanced around her, trying to search for a sign of life through the blurred view because of the tears.

But there was only death and fire around.

A whirl of dust danced behind her torso as her mind went numb. She felt empty as a hollow of abyss grew on her chest, vanishing every feeling.

The sadness was drowning her and felt like couldn't bear any more pain in her life.

Pain… Her hands were aching her but this was nothing compared to the inner one of her broken soul.

"I need to treat those wounds… I saw a hospital before." she murmured knowing pretty well she was the only one to hear her voice anyway.

She stood on her feet again and headed back at the path where she came from previously.

She gazed at the tall white building at her left and decided to cross the gate, walking towards the hospital's entrance door, or what was supposed to be before the fire melt everything.

An intense smell of burned ethanol hit her nose but nevertheless continued wandering inside the corridors in search of the necessary materials to clean her wounds or they would get affected.

Her steps were the only sound that was heard inside the huge structure and they stopped when she passed by a room that seems like a doctor's office.

"Dr. T...f...ar…" she read the almost destroyed label on the door and opened it a bit, creating a creaking sound.

The view she beheld was not something she didn't expect after all the images, she evidenced through the day.

A couple wearing their white medical aprons was laying on the ground, shot to death with bullets on their backs, and dried blood all over them.

The man was holding protectively the woman in his arms probably in a last effort to save his beloved unfortunate wife.

The smell of burned flesh was strong so the girl walked off trying with difficulty the eager feeling to puke.

She walked some more meters until she reached some stairs leading at the higher level floor and so, out of curiosity she decided to climb them.

The stairs led her to a long dark corridor, with broken lights and electric sparks coming out of bare wires all over the walls.

She kept walking careful so as not to touch with her skin the electricity and checked the probably patients' wards one by one. There were many people's carbonized bodies in different shapes and positions, logically the last ones they got before fire burned the life out of them. Though, the couple she found at the doctors' office later was not in such a serious state so she thought that the fire was mostly rekindled at the floors near the hospital's roof were the poisoned citizens of Flevance town were kept.

Suddenly, when she turned her gaze to her right side, a pink girlish door with colorful flowers painted on it, caught her attention and decided to take a look inside.

"Why is this ward different from the others?" she questioned herself and approached the room's entrance.

She slowly opened the door and popped her head, curious to observe the inside.

There weren't many furniture left as the place was almost completely burned to ashes as the rest of the town anyway but she could distinguish a tall wardrobe, a bed, a desk and a bookcase hanging from the wall.

The wardrobe was designed with small openings across the leafs and the girl walked closer thinking she may find something else to borrow as her clothes were torn and dirty from the long journey and she was still traveling in North Blue which means the weather was freezing cold.

She opened the one leaf and her breath stopped on her throat when her eyes made contact with a pair of lifeless ones for once again.

Her heart was beating painfully fast by the shock as this girl in front of her seemed to be of the same age as her.

She could easily be in her position and what made her feel worse was the fact that they didn't even showed sympathy towards the young ones.

She couldn't take anymore this sick feeling on her gut and her stomach betrayed her, emptying the roots she had eaten for breakfast on the dusted carpet.

She took another last look on the dead spotted corpse and followed her gaze, understanding that the little girl was looking intensively at something that was placed right behind her, probably through the wardrobe leaf's holes.

She turned her head to check on the spot and saw a broken frame with a picture inside, placed on the desk right in front of the wardrobe, at the other side of the room, near the window.

The brunette approached it and took a hold of the object, observing the depicted image. It was the same girl probably in a younger age with a perfectly healthy body hugging a boy whose face was burned by the fire.

The girl left the picture back at its position and took a deep breath to calm herself.

So many lost lives.

So many lost memories.

There was no one alive to care for these bodies laying lifeless on the ground.

There was no one there to respect those lost people.

But on the other hand she was no less unlucky from them.

Her eyes were no different from theirs, her body was as weak as the corpses' and her soul was the same dead.

She had nowhere to go and no one to call family.

A light breeze coming from the open window, hit her face and the girl's focus fell on it.

It was like this soothing gust of wind was calling her to connect her soul with it. Her feet moved on their own and found herself standing in front of it with her eyes lost on the distance.

A step forward and she could be together again with her family. A step and she could feel again the warm embrace of her late grandmother. A step and she could maybe become friends with the girl behind her.

But suddenly when she was about to take this last step a book from the bookcase right above her head, fell on it waking her up from the dizziness she was feeling.

She picked it up from her feet and examined it puzzled, deciding finally to open it.

"Modern Heart surgery methods", she read the title and her eyes fell on the name, probably the owner's one of this book.

"TDWL".
