3rd P.O.V

"I don't trust him." Haou gave a small huff with a smile as Jehu laid in bed, still glaring at the ceiling as if it was to blame for his rotten mood. It's been less then half an hour since they arrived to Haou's home. Jehu still there while the home owner got changed and went about putting his stuff away.

Both tired, but too wired for a nap. "I know." Haou was scrunching his face as he went through his prizes. After the dodgeball fiasco and Chazz's apology, Haou was completely at a loss. Even now after the conversation he was still somewhat baffled with what happened.

Any assumptions he predicted thrown right out the window. His mind was literally going blank as his ex best friend stated he wanted to start over and try to rekindle their bond. Jehu growled quietly to himself as Haou felt his chest grow tight. Biting his lip he was honest with his thoughts.

'I don't know if we could ever go back to the way things were Chazz...' The new student nodded his head, understanding his feelings. There were too many painful memories from their departure to where Haou didn't think he would ever truly recover.

Despite his anxiety though he kept a brave face, wanting to give things a shot. Shakily holding out his hand for the other to take. '...But we can try being friends again.' It was now the raven haired teen's turn to stare dumbfounded before slowly returning the gesture.

Tears ready to fall. Together they do a single firm shake. Small tense smiles on their faces as they split ways, with the young Princeton giving a quiet 'thank you' before leaving Haou there. Promising to meet up with him at another date.

Not seeing the boy collapse on his knees out of breath or Jehu running to reach for him. 'You were so brave.' Kissing his fingers as Haou rested his head on the other's shoulder. Relieved beyond belief. It took a solid fifteen minutes for Haou to make his way back to his feet.

The two in desperate need for a distraction went to Mrs. Seiko and Ms. Sarina's rigged carnival. Booths were set up all over, with many unhappy guests going crazy trying to beat the system. The two women smiled wickedly as students flocked to their sides. Each poor soul begging for help on how to gain prizes.

The two teachers giggled, pointing to a few specific students that were easily able to see through the unfair mechanics. 'Why don't you ask them?' Bastion, Haou, Marcel, Brier (who had recovered from Yami's skit back during the fall season) and a senior named Kyle. The five of them were talking amongst each other.

All of them analyzing the mathematics behind the games and their designs. Blair essentially kidnapped the brainiacs and forced them to dish out the secrets. Jehu laughing as his boyfriend was surrounded with plushies and toys won.

Their moods much lighter as Haou blushed. Marcel giving his upperclassman a small smile before leaving with Blair. Their arms just as full of goodies.

"You seem pretty calm about this." Haou paused in his arrangement, walking to his boyfriend who was back to being skeptical about the whole situation. "I'm not too sure of Chazz's motivations. But he showed he was willing to move forward. It was the miracle that I didn't think I'd live to see."

The last part of that statement made Jehu grimace. Though he knew Haou didn't mean anything of it, it still made him worry. Grabbing the brunette by the waist, he pulled him close, his head nuzzling brown and orange locks. "Jehu?" Being with him was an addiction to the bluenette.

One he refused to drop. "Just be careful. Even if Banner took care of his asshole friends, that doesn't mean he can't be up to something." Haou nodded, purposely rubbing the other's nose with the movement.

"I may've forgiven him. But it's impossible for me to forget. I have no intentions of dropping my guard." Jehu melted against him, glad to have that reassurance. "Now, onto more important business." The shorter boy pulled away, reaching to take out the French textbook from Jehu's backpack.

Immediately his boyfriend groans. "Nooooo! I don't want to study- It's cuddle time~ It's important talk time! Don't do this to me!" Gold twinkled as the seventeen year old buried himself in Haou's covers, hiding. Hoping to avoid his fate. But the shorter teen was not allowing any of it.

Fighting the whining male with the blankets. "You're mom AND Marcel told me you flunked two of your french exams, dropping your grade a lot. We got less then two months before finals Jehu. Unless you want to deal with Bonaparte's summer program that he forces all his failing students to attend-you're studying!"

He forgot Marcel was the old fart's son. And even more he should've known that it was only a matter of time before his mom and Haou found out. But still-there were a million other things he could think of that would be better then studying right now.

The top priority being to cover his lover in a barrage of kisses. Already easily reading his mind Haou gave him a stern look. "Try anything and I confiscate Sapphire Pegasus." Jehu's eyes grew wide and fearful as he sat up, essentially knocking Haou off him.

A look of betrayal on his face. "Not our baby! He's done nothing wrong!" Haou still found it really weird that his boyfriend gave his guitar a name. Just as completely obsessive and possessive over it as when he first received it.

But that came in handy for times like these. "Do a study session with me, and I'll let you practice while I make dinner." It was a fair deal considering Haou already knew he could get the elder boy to cooperate. Though Jehu was learning a few tricks from his fellow junior.

"Only if I get a reward during our session. I need to stay motivated after all." There needed to be some adjustments to their contract. An eyebrow was raised at the bluenette's smirk. "What kind of reward?" The answer came to his mind a split second later when Jehu pushed his mouth towards him.

Pulling back just as fast. Teasing. "I want kisses for every answer I get right." So he was going to play like that was he? Haou simply put on his reading glasses. Letting his fingers rest on the rims for a moment, looking even more alluring.

Jehu should've known by now that his lover was FAR more than capable of putting the older boy in his place. It felt like the temperature dropped a couple degrees. "You'll get a kiss for every three correct answers. Now question one. How do you say 'I love you' in French?"

This was going to be a lot harder then Jehu originally thought...

Chazz was tugging at his costume, feeling uncomfortable as Jehu gave him an unimpressed stare. "I look stupid." The blunette was ready to throw out a snarky comment about how his boyfriend was always uncomfortable because of him.

Before remembering that he promised to try and be nice. For Haou's sake he had to behave. So he curved his tongue, rolling his eyes, already fed up with him. "You look fine, stop complaining, this was the best Mrs. Sheppard could do with the time crunch."

Just because he promised to be good and get along with the prick didn't mean Jehu had to like it. "Whatever." The ravenette was still grumbling. Haou had invited him to help out with Shadow Realm.

They were a bit shorthanded this time around and the teen was looking for whoever he could get. This also gave Haou a chance to test the waters to an extent. To see if Chazz was truly willing to be his friend again. Of course that meant Tome going into overdrive to get a costume ready for him.

Becoming the Battle Warrior, much to Chazz's dismay. He really didn't want to dress up like some dorky monster. "Jehu table five, one order of mango kulfi and three orders of modak. Chazz table two has one large order of kaju barfi. Let's go!"

Despite the stoves going on in the kitchen it felt like an ice age with Haou's gaze trained on them. It was game time with Shadow Realm just opening and getting started. Already lines were forming outside and he didn't have time to waste on those two grumbling and bumbling with one another.

"Right!" The brunette huffed as the two scattered, grabbing their trays. Tome shook her head with a giggle as she twirled her spoon around. "Haou sweetie, the syrup mixture for the gulab jamun is done!" All she got was a small nod as he rushed to take the bowl.

Always grateful to the sweet old lady. "Thanks Tome!" Once more it was all hands on deck as Tyranno started setting up the milk base for the kheer pudding that needed to be made. Bastion this time couldn't attend.

Mentioning something about being busy with helping Mr. Stein with an electromagnetic presentation. Meaning the trio of chefs were left scrambling to make up for the lost help. "You think they'll be ok out there Sarge?" Haou snorted as he went to making ball size dumplings.

His hands began hurting as he twisted and manipulated his wrists. It was a bad sign as they were only into the first hour or so. No matter what Haou was going to have to take breaks this time around. At least they didn't have to worry about their budget when buying the ingredients.

Most of the desserts mainly consisted of milk, sugar, and flour prepared differently and enhanced with sauces or spices. Far simpler then when they went Italian or even Japanese from the last two festivals.

"Jehu won't pull any bullshit with how busy we are. They may not like each other but they know better then to piss me off." Right now he was more worried about finishing the swarm of tags left for him to read and make. "Is the jalebi done?" Tome went to the fryer, sighing in relief as she pulls them out.

They were set. Ready to soak in a sugar glaze. "Perfect. Tyranno, can you text Alexis for me? She was supposed to bring the twins over and I want to get a head start on their orders." If there was anyone that got in without waiting it was the twins.

They got their own little special corner for each opening. The twins were also the only guests that didn't have to pay for their treats. Even though they practically threw all of their allowances into the tip jar anyways, Haou and Tome never bothered charging them. "You got it!"

Haou sighed with his eyes closed. As tired as he was, busier then ever...he didn't mind this life in the slightest. "Make sure you take a breather whenever you need one Haou. I demand it!" He rolled his eyes at the culinary teacher.

This conversation always popping up when they went to work. "Don't worry Tome I will." Her reply is a snort, well aware he was going to avoid it at all costs. Well not on her watch! She waggles her finger in his face, a knowing smile on her.

"The moment those bundles of joy twins show up you are taking a break Mr!" He forced himself to nod. Even if he wanted to say no, his scars were aching, making it difficult for his hands to work properly. He knew he should've put medication on them this morning.

It was too late now he supposed. "Alright she got back to me! Jesse wants coconut kulfi, some kheer, a small dish of peda, and those rasgullas you were rolling up earlier. Johan wants to try the Soan papdi, a bowl of ras malai and a three stack of the malpua pancakes."

Those two and their orders. It still amazed everyone how they had bottomless pits for stomachs. Haou shook his head with a smile. "Can't disappoint them now can I?" Jehu came in, his face full or murderous intent. "We got problems." Tome furrowed her brows as Haou removed his apron.

"Tyranno stay here and help Tome, I'll be back." The couple made their way out of the cooking station. The chef now seeing why Jehu was pissed. "Guys knock it off and go! I'm busy." Chazz was scratching his hair in frustration.

Why was this happening? "But boss why the hell are you hanging around here!? You look ridiculous." His little posse was here, ignoring Blair and Marcel's warning to stop their crap and go.

There was no Zane or Atticus to back them up. Leaving it up to the two juniors to step in. "Alright break it up!" But even without the previous bulks of muscle to aid them, the trio backpedaled seeing their previous victim.

Guess Banner's warning was still VERY clear in their nearly empty heads. "We'll see you later boss!" They turn tailed and fled, leaving everyone just confused. Syrus rubbed the back of his neck with a frown. "What just happened?" No one had an answer for him.

Chazz sighing as he looked up to the ceiling. "Idiots." He was so done with today. "You alright Chazz?" Haou placed a hand on his shoulder, gold looking on with concern. "Yeah yeah. They're just morons. Sorry about that."

His hand was shrugged off, not cruelty, but because the battle warrior was exasperated more than anything. Jehu was NOT happy. He didn't like Chazz's cronies making a ruckus. Them being the same assholes that messed with Haou.

He also didn't like the fact that his boyfriend was worrying about Princeton. More so than anything he HATED that said worry and care was simply shrugged off. As if it were a burden. Even if Chazz and Haou didn't have the unfortunate past they had, Jehu would've not gotten along with him at all.

The raven haired teen was rude, snobbish and just plain annoying! And that's coming from someone who's been friends with Atticus since they were kids! That left poor Haou to do damage control. For both the scene and for calming his boyfriend down.

With a pained groan, Haou rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming. "Haou~ We made it!" Jesse and Johan arrived in their costumes as per tradition at this point. Though they didn't come alone. Alexis and them brought Jim, Yoko, even the kids' classmates Jaden, Belowski and a girl named Gina.

The tension easily went away as he smiled. "Perfect timing. Jesse, Johan mind giving me a hand?" Their eyes sparkled as they hugged their favorite brother figure. "What can we do?" Haou ruffled their hair, glad he could count on them.

Author Notes: Glad to see I got this up finally. Again kept getting sidetracked to where i nearly forgot to upload-but i made it~ Jehu and Chazz are not getting along and poor Haou has to do damage control...good luck buddy!

Though I'm so happy with adding in Indian cuisine-ironically i saw one of these premade at my grocery store...i was so tempted to buy it, but it was so expensive i didn't...maybe one day. Anyways I'll do my little food description for you guys after the author notes~

Haven't had any, but they sound good! So i may've gone overboard with the treats lol. And on that note...thank you all so much for reading my story. If you like this series please feel free to fav/follow/review as it means the world to me. I'm really grateful for all the support. Tchao for now!

kheer-a rice/milk pudding.

peda-it's a sweet dessert. It looks like a donut or soft cookie

rasgullas-basically dumplings cooked in a sugar syrup

Soan papdi-it looks like a cube shaped cake but it's apparently fried and has a flakey texture

ras malai-so this is apparently another dumpling dish, but is soaked in a vanilla milk mix and is chilled. It's taste is similar to indian ice cream

malpua pancakes-sweet fried pancakes dipped in melted sugar

jalebi-the description sounds like it's indian pretzels. Apparently they're a tasty snack.

gulab jamun-so it's a bit hard to explain this one but these a milk and sugar solid balls that are soaked in sugar(everything is milk and sugar...sign me up lol) and I guess they're very sweet and melt in your mouth.

modak-we got another dumpling dish my friends, but this one has coconut and dried fruit fillings before getting steamed

kulfi- this is the indian equivalent to ice cream but is denser and creamier.

kaju barfi-arguably this one is the one i'm struggling most with understanding. it's essentially a milk, sugar and cashew powder treat that's shaped like diamonds. if anyones tried it let me know how far i'm off.
