Sid's Choice
After dancing for most of the night away, after giving their exhausted goodbyes and partings to the Mondejar family, Aggie and were friends started to trudge their way home as Holly commented, "Hot dang, y'all. Ay haven't danced faw that long since the last hoedown"! Sid yawned and stretched his arms while saying, "I agree, Holly. My hooves are sore. I can't wait to get inside and pass out on the couch." Melody replied, "I can't wait to crawl into bed and maybe sleep with my clothes on since I feel too tired to change into my pajamas." Synth replied, "Even the kids are tired. Look," as everyone saw Jasmine, Soundwave, and Serenade, all sleeping peacefully, as Stereo commented, "Their first dance party and everyone had a blast." Laguna replied, "My tail fins feel like they're about to fall off if we do not return soon, but I will say that the party was loads of fun." Rhythm then said, "You know what I'm excited for? When we go back home." Bleus added, "Agreed. It's been a lot of fun here, but I do miss Trollstopia, and while it'd be cool to stay here for a month again, I do miss our friends and family back home." Aggie replied, "I agree. So, should we head out tomorrow evening? That way, we'll be in Trollstopia by morning." Sid smiled, saying, "I can't wait to go back to Trollstopia. Wait till everyone hears about our adventures, "while Trollex added, "Wait till everyone hears about you becoming friends with the leaders of the MMMt tribe and most of Harmonious Land, and especially with Aggie's family." Sid then said, "Yeah, though...I feel as I should say...not everyone knows about me yet. Back in Trollstopia, only the delegates, the funk leaders, Aggie, Mel, McJagger, Buckaroo, Stereo, Finn, Holly, Synth, you, Barb, and Val know about me. Poppy doesn't know. Neither does Branch, Trollzart, Low-Note Jones, Dante, or Delta know about me yet. And while you guys have been cool with it, I don't know how the others would take it if I tell them." Aggie then said, "Don't worry, sid. I'm sure everyone else will understand you once you tell them, the same way we did." Sid then said, "You know, you're probably right. Before, I probably would have been hesitant, but after our time here, I've gained a lot more confidence in expressing myself, my true self. And while trolls may still like me or dislike me, I don't care what they think. What matters is what I think and believe, and I think...I've made a lot of new friends here, and got to have so much fun visiting your homeland, Aggie. I hope we can come back another time."
Aggie nodded, saying, "Of course we can come back another time, Sid." The Flexi-Troll smiled as everyone soon made it to the condo and walked inside. Stereo picked up the twins out of their stroller while saying, "I'm going to go put the kids to bed," as Laguna added while picking up Jasmine, "I agree. I have to put Jasmine to bed too," as both female Techno trolls walked upstairs quietly. Synth yawned and said, "Well, I'm going to go to sleep. I need my raving Z's," and went upstairs as well, followed by R and B, Melody, Biggie, and Holly. Sid then said, "Aggie, is it ok if I crash on the couch tonight? Meaning sleep, not destruction." Aggie chuckled as she said, "I know what you meant, and sure thing." Trollex added, "Sleep well, Sid," as Aggie and Trollex walked back upstairs hand in hand, leaving the Flexi-Troll alone. Sid was ready to lay on the couch when he got a knock at the door. He was about to call Aggie until he said to himself, "Wait, I can answer the door. It's the nice thing to do." Sid walked over and opened the door as he gasped a little before saying, "Oh, Trollazon. Your Majesty. What brings you here at this hour"? Trollazon said, "Evening, Sid. Would you be available tomorrow morning? We want to invite you to a meeting we are having at the MagicaƱang Palace if it's not too troubling to ask." Sid smiled before saying, "Sure thing, Trollazon. I mean, my friends and I aren't leaving till later tomorrow, so I'm free in the morning." Trollazon bowed her head while saying, "Wonderful to hear. See you tomorrow," as Trollazon soon walked away while Sid closed the door. The Flexi-Troll was happily surprised as he said, "a meeting with the leaders tomorrow. I wonder what they want to talk about. Either way, I better get some sleep, so I'm not tired for it"! Sid hopped onto the couch and fell fast asleep, softly snoring as he slept through the night. The next morning, Sid was at the MagicaƱang Palace, sitting at a large table with the leaders as they were all discussing something. Sid was currently speaking, as he said, "And so if you were to expand the lens of your infrared cameras while combining the scan design of the x-ray goggles, you could be able to create a set of lens that would be able to determine Flexi-Trolls in disguise. I'd also recommend starting a master class in identifying the faint yet visible signs of manipulation, for it can protect you from falling under the trance of a manipulative Flexi-Troll."
Governor Rodrigo wrote this down while saying, "That's something we should put into effect right away. Anything else we should know, Sid"? Sid thought about it before saying, "With the right training, the soldiers should be easy to beat, but your real problem is with the king, my king: King Gungager (shoutout to my friend from Wattpad, King Halloween, for helping me come up with the name), otherwise known as the troll of stone. He cares about no one but himself, and he's so cruel, he'd stop at nothing to get what he wants, and if you tried to stop him or convince him otherwise, he'd slice your head off in a minute. Plus, he's good at combat and magic manipulation, and I have it on good authority that he's been working on something brand new: a gem that can absorb the magic right out of a troll, MMT, and normal." Everyone gasped as Captain Raven asked, "Have you've seen what it looks like or what it's capable of"? Sid shook his head and said, "Sadly, I only know of the idea, for Gungager has kept this project secret from everyone except his advisor. That was how I found out: overhearing his conversation with the king. But I do not know how he is making it, what magic is behind it, and more importantly, what he has planned for it. All I can say is I'd recommend, if he uses it, to come up with either a forcefield or some way to destroy the gem." Mayor Travor tipped his hat while saying, "Sid, you have definitely provided us ayy lot of key informashun. It will definitely be ov good use in future protectshun of Harmonious Land." President Trollazon then said, "I think we have covered enough information. Thank you so much, Sid, for sharing these vital details." Sid bowed and said, "No problem, your Majesties. Just helping you best by providing all I have." Trollazon smiled before saying, "Meeting adjourned," as they all got up and proceeded to leave. Chairman Bailey walked alongside sid as he said, "Sid Scales, I must say that I'm surprised to see you tell us everything so willingly. I mean, I knew you said you wanted to be good and provided us with as much info as you can, but I'd thought you'd be a little hesitant." Sid chuckled as he said, "Well, I'll be honest: I was a little hesitant, but it's like what I said before: I want to become an ally for you guys. I want to help you because you guys deserve to live in peace and harmony, just like my friends do." Then, Sid saw Congresswoman Amelia fly up to him as she said, "Sid, again, we must thank you. What you have told us will definitely be vital towards any future attack of your tribe. You are quite interesting considering that I never thought I'd see a friendly Flexi-Troll so willing to help us."
Sid bowed as he said, "But of course, for you guys are innocent trolls who should not have to face my dumb tribe's wrath. As someone once told me, no one should live in misery and fear, for only the guidance of friendship and the love of those close will warm the heart and make one feel whole." Amelia then said, "say, Sid, this might be sudden, but would you like to meet me in Smile-o Smile-o City for tea later at the cafe? I would love to chat and get to know you more." Sid smiled and said, "Well, we aren't leaving till later tonight, so, sure. I'd love to come and have tea with you, Amelia. Or your Majesty, whichever you prefer." Amelia chuckled and said, "No need for formality, Sid. I'll see you later," as she flew towards the other leaders, with Bailey following her. Sid soon walked out of the palace and strolled down the street. He took a deep breath, smelling the fresh air as he commented, "So nice and peaceful." Walking down the street, Sid waved at a few of the Magical Musical Trolls as a couple waved at Sid or said hello, while a few were hesitant or gave him weird looks. Passing through the park, Sid stopped for a minute to smell the flowers as he said, "It's such a nice place here. I can see why a lot of trolls would want to stay here for a month. Or even more," and was ready to head to Smile-o Smile-o City. Suddenly, a voice made him stop as the voice said, "You," and made him turn around. He saw Scarlet approaching him as Sid raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms, wondering what the Magic Rock girl had to say. He listened as Scarlet said, "Listen, you nasty, ugly, freak! I don't care if everyone elsewhere has accepted you or not. As long as you are with Aggie, you're just as weird as she is! And I'm not going to forget what you did to scare my friends and me! You know, deep down, you don't belong here at all! You deserve to be back up there, being eaten by vultures or going through some other horrible faith." Thinking she angered Sid, she then menacingly said, "Go ahead. Growl at me or attack me, I dare you." However, to her shock, Sid was calm, as he said, "You know something? After hearing what you've done to Aggie and seeing how you both have such a strained relationship, I can see why you don't have friends." Scarlet gasped and angrily retorted, "Not true! I have plenty of friends"! Sid then asked, "Friends other than your bandmates," as Scarlet then bit her tongue and stayed silent, knowing that Sid hit a major point there. Then, the Flexi-Troll started to say, "Let me tell you something. You think just because you are pretty and can woo men in a 30-inch radius, that you're so rich, you can buy the whole world if you wanted, and that you're so high and mighty, you can boss other trolls around, act however you want, and do whatever you feel like.
In a way, your behavior is almost similar to a Flexi-Troll because you show no consideration to anyone but yourself, and you treat everyone else like garbage! Feeling like you can pick on them for your own sick pleasure and then dump them after you feel like they aren't worthy of being with you! Maybe that's why you're single, and no guy wants to date you, no matter how pretty you are. Maybe that's why no one wants to be your friend because you act so harsh to them like they're nothing but barnacles! Take a good, long, hard look in the mirror because it doesn't matter how much makeup you put on or how gorgeous your hair is! You are ugly on the inside because of how you act, and maybe that's why no one wants to be with you! And money doesn't solve anything because, with all the riches in the world, it won't be enough to pay off your loneliness debts, and honestly, I have no idea how any troll's been able to put up with your attitude and your bullying for years! Yeah, you might argue I have no right to say stuff like this, and yeah, you are right. But is there anything wrong with telling someone the truth? Take a look inside your black soul and see just how dark it is because of how you've been acting towards others"! Scarlet wanted to say something in response, but after hearing Sid's harsh words, she stayed silent and, for once, started to think about what he had said. Sid then said, "Can't say it's been a pleasure talking to you, but I have to go. I have to meet up with someone. See ya, Scarlet," and walked away, leaving a stunned and contemplating female Magic Rock troll by herself with her thoughts. About a while later, Sid was strolling through Smile-o Smile-o City's streets when he spotted the cafe, noticing Amelia sitting at an outside table. He smiled and sat down as the Magic Classical troll complimented, "My, you are on time, Sid." Sid replied, "Thank you. I've been practicing how to be more punctual with appointments. After all, I did not want to be late having tea with the Congresswoman, of course." A waiter came out with two cups of hot tea in small teacups, as Amelia commented, "Ah, you know, I do not remember the last time I had tea with a friend. Life as one of the leaders has been terribly busy." Sid accepted his cup while saying, "I know how you feel. When you have a responsibility, the job can take up a lot of your time. While it's nice to work, I'm currently enjoying my time of freedom." Amelia and Sid both gently clicked their cups before sipping on their tea, sticking their pinkies out. Amelia saw how Sid was drinking his tea and was impressed, commenting, "Wow, I must say I am most impressed with your manners, Sid. You seem to be very well-mannered and have a sense of grace and dignity." Sid placed his cup down and said, "Well, I have had some training from the Classical Trolls. They have taught me proper table manners, as well as how to host medium gatherings. And may I say this tea is delicious. They should call it MM"Tea." Amelia found the Flexi-Troll's sense of humor hilarious as she chuckled before saying, "My, what a sense of humor you have. You are definitely the most interesting Flexi-Troll I have ever met."
The two spent a good hour conversating with each other, enjoying the company. After finishing the tea, they decided to go for a stroll through Trollnila, as Amelia said, "Sid, this has been such a nice experience. You are definitely the most friendly and caring Flexi-Troll I have ever met. You really have learned so much, as your friends have said." Sid smiled, scratching the back of his head, while saying, "Yeah, they have taught me so much. I've become a lot nicer since I had met them, and with their help, I've been learning how to become good. It's been going great so far, but...there are some things I know I still need to learn. The trouble is, I don't know exactly what I do need to learn still and how to achieve it. Plus, I'm scared that despite the training, the half-bad side of me will somehow reemerge and...I just want to try and make sure that side never comes out again." He then felt Amelia pat him on the back while saying, "Dearest Sid, I can see that you are an eager learner. And going from what we've heard and seen, you sure seem like the kind of Troll who wants to learn how to be fully "good" as you describe it. Tell me: have you considered wanting to become an ally of Harmonious Land"? Sid thought about it, saying, "You know, that could be a good thing. I can tell you all I know about my tribe, and you can all use the info to build up a defense and find new ways to stop them." Amelia then got an idea, saying as she flew up and hovered in front of him, "Allow me to offer you something, Sid. With some convincing, I can convince the leaders so we can give you advanced reformation lessons and teach you things in here that can make you a better ally of our tribe. How does that sound"? Sid became excited as he said, "I'd love to learn from you guys and better myself in the process. I want to become a friend of the MMTs instead of just being seen as an enemy." Amelia grinned as she said, "This opportunity will allow that and so much more. With our help, you can be fully eradicated of your dark past for good. The only thing is...you'll have to stay here for the time being of these lessons." Sid then became confused and asked, "Wait. Stay here? Does that mean I'd be here for a whole month? Away from Trollstopia"? Amelia nodded, saying, "Yes, I'm afraid. I understand if this sounds so sudden. You do not have to decide now. Take some time and then let me know before you and your friends leave. Now, I must take my leave, but I thank you for this great time out, Sid. Give us a call once you made a decision." With that, Amelia flew away, leaving the confused and unsure Flexi-Troll alone with his thoughts as he started to walk back to the condo.
Inside, Melody, Rhythm, Blues, Synth, and Holly watched TV while Laguna played with Jasmine and Stereo was reading a book to the twins. Trollex readjusted his DJ mixer, with Aggie helping, while Biggie was playing fetch with the Cuddlepup. Everyone minded their own business until Sid entered the condo, as Holly declared, "Welcome back, sugar. How'd the meeting go," as Biggie added, "Was it successful"? Sid sat down on the couch, next to Melody, as he said, "It was... terrific, guys. We basically discussed many things, and I just told them about ways to improve security and protection against my tribe. Among other things," before looking at the TV with a dazed look. Seeing his voice become softer, Melody asked, "Hey...are you ok"? Sid sighed before saying, "Actually, something else happened while I was out. After the meeting, Amelia invited me for tea, and we drank and had a nice chat. Everything was going well, and I just told her how I really wanted to be friends with everyone in Harmonious Land. I also told her about my reformation lessons, and then...she offered me something." Rhythm asked, "What did she offer," as Sid replied, "She said that if she was able to convince the leaders, that they could give me advanced reformation lessons." Everyone smiled as Synth said, "Bro, that sounds awesome," as Aggie added, "I agree. Those lessons can help you better and grow as a troll," before Sid had his hands up and stated, "Wait, guys. I wasn't finished yet. She told me that this could happen, but...if I say yes, that means I'll have to stay here for a whole month." That made everyone silent as Blues asked, "So if you take these lessons, you'd have to stay here"? Sid nodded as Stereo commented, "But that means, you won't be able to go home with us today," while Trollex added,d "And you won't be able to go back to Trollstopia for a month." Sid then stated, "I know, and that's where my problem is. I want to take these advanced lessons, but I'm not sure if I want to stay here though. I have nothing against being here, but I love living in Trollstopia. I love being with you guys and all of my friends back there. I even miss being with Finn, despite him being antisocial. I am my darling Buckaroo, and...what I miss most of all...is being somewhere where no matter what, I can be accepted as who I am. I...I just don't know what to do, guys. And I don't have a lot of time to decide before we leave." Aggie patted Sid on the back while saying, "Don't worry. We still have time. We can help you choose before we leave."
Melody added, "Yeah, Aggie's right. We'll help you figure things out." Laguna then said while standing up, "Note: Perhaps something we should try is making a table to determine the pros and cons of staying here or going back home with us." Rhythm and blues both shouted, "We got this," and pulled out a whiteboard. Laguna then picked up a black marker and made a table with four columns as she said, "Now, the first two are the pros and cons of staying in Harmonious Land, and the other two are for coming with us. We'll debate back and forth about possible pros and cons, and I'll write them down here. In the end, whichever has the most pros will be the best possible solution to Sid's inquiry." Sid then said, "whatever will help me decide, I'm down for it. Let's do it, guys," As Holly declared, "Ok, y'all! First up, if Sid stays in Harmonious Land, he'll get those fancy, advanced reformashun lessons! That's ayy pro"! Laguna wrote it down in the first column as Biggie then mentioned, "But, if he stays, he'll be away from us for a month. That's a con." Laguna wrote it down while Melody commented, "But if he stays, it'll give him a chance to connect with the MMTs more and build a bond with them. That's a definite pro," as Stereo stated, "But not all the MMTs have accepted him, and what if some of them bully or hurt Sid while we are gone? And we can't be there to protect him? That's a con." Trollex then piped in, saying, "But he can also help train the MMTs during his stay to defend themselves against his tribe," while Blues added, "But what if Sid needs our help on something and we're not here to lend him a hand"? After some debating and bringing up a lot of good points, the first two columns were filled, as Laguna declared, "Ok, I think we have enough information for option 1. Now, let's move on to option two." Synth then commented, "Yeah, that's easy! Sid comes with us, and he gets to be in Trollstopia again," as Aggie argued, "But what if an opportunity like this never comes up again? While this is quite a situation, you can't just pass up an opportunity like this," as Melody added, "I agree with Aggie on this one. And it's coming from one of the leaders! That means it's HUGE! You can't just decline something like that," as Rhythm stated, "But won't everyone back home think it's strange that Sid suddenly disappears, even after we explain it to them? And we don't want Poppy or the others to worry about him." Once again, everyone got into another debate while Laguna wrote down all the pros and cons each troll mentioned while the kids watched, thinking this was hilarious.
Soon, the table was full of writing as Holly asked, "So, how did we do, y'all? Which choice is best"? Laguna looked at the table before saying, "Well, our debate has made one thing clear: each option has an equal amount of pros and cons. It's quite interesting actually" Everyone groaned in disappointment as Sid said, "Oh man. This doesn't help me at all. Both choices have compelling arguments, and I don't know which one is better. I'm even more confused now than before. My brain feels like it's going to fry in confusion." Biggie then said, "Don't fret, Sid. We still have some time before we leave. I'm sure we'll figure something out." Aggie then had a thought as she commented, "You know, maybe...we shouldn't help." Everyone looked at Aggie in confusion as the MMt explained, saying, "I mean, what I'm trying to say is, even though we're doing our best to help, maybe this is something we should let Sid do by himself. After all, this is HIS decision, not ours. He should make his own choice." Sid then nervously added, "But, I'm worried if I think for myself...it might lead to something bad." Melody then said, "Sid, it's ok. Thinking independently is a natural thing we do, and yes, sometimes, we don't make the best decisions. But, what matters is that what you think of feels right to you. Remember what I said when you were nervous about revealing yourself to Harmonious Land"? Sid nodded, answering, "That sometimes, the right thing might look or sound wrong, but what matters is that if what I do or believe feels right." Sid then said, "Well, then...ok. I'll take some time and think about it...by myself. But, if I do need guys, you guys will help, right"? Rhythm said, "Of course, Sid. We're your friends," as Trollex added, "And no matter what you decide, we'll support you the whole way." Sid grinned and declared, "Thanks, guys. I think...I'm going to go outside to think. Fresh air helps me clear my mind better." Aggie then said, "Just don't take too long. We'll be leaving soon, Sid." The Flexi-Troll nodded as he got up and left the condo, turning left and walking down the street. As he walked, he looked at how all the MMTs were out and about, working, playing, and enjoying each other's company. It reminded him so much of Trollstopia, but at the same time, he could not help but feel like, in a way, both places were the same, despite the major differences. Both Trollstopia and Harmonious Land had one major thing in common that made Sid feel like he was truly home: everyone living together happily.
Sid then felt his heartbeat as he asked himself, "Where does my heart belong"? He looked out onto the sidewalk and then muttered something else, "Whatever I decide, how far will I go to accomplish my dream"? Sid then felt something stir inside him: a feeling that made Sid comment, "What is this feeling? It's good, and...it's comforting? This must be what it's like to think for yourself. Maybe...I should listen to myself. Ok, heart, and me, tell me what I need to know." Sid closed his eyes and stood in place, listening to his heart beating as the wind gently tousled his hair and pushed his ears. The only sounds Sid listened to were his own breathing, the wind, and the footsteps of the other trolls around him. He inhaled in and out a few times before taking a step forward, finding himself feeling the urge to sing as he started to walk again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~How Far I'll Go by Alessia Cara~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sid: I've been standing at a crossroad forever, for as long as I can remember, never really knowing why. I wish the past could be a distant memory, but making it happen isn't easy, no matter how hard I try.
But with each turn I take, every trail I track. Every path I walk always leads me back to the places I know and I love to go, where I long to be.
See the line where music meets harmony? It calls me! And no one knows how far it goes! If I stay true to being in the light, where I yearn to be, then I'll know! And when I do, there's just no telling how far I'll go!
Suddenly, Sid's walking turned into jogging as he jogged through all of Magickina City, passing the buildings, cars, plants, and other MMTs, who watched in confusion or happiness.
Go-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh! Go-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh! Go-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh! Go-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!
I know every troll in Trollstopia seems to live in perfect harmony, and everything's by design! I know every troll in Harmonious Land seems so happy with each other! And everything seems fine!
I can learn and grow, let the goodness show, and show every troll how much I know. But the voice back home sings a different song. Oh, where should I be?
Sid's jogging started to become faster as he soon started running while singing, finding himself entering Trollnila without noticing.
See the light that's emitting from me? It's blinding! Yet no troll knows yet, how deep it shows yet. And the music is calling out to me, so, come find me! And let me know! And when the truth, I find, then the answers, I'll find!
See the line where music meets harmony? It calls me! And no one knows how far it goes! If I stay true to being in the light, where I yearn to be, then I'll know! How far I'll go! Hmmmmmm.
Sid then realized that he was now standing on top of a park bench in front of the palace, and a bunch of Magical Musical Trolls was staring at him. Sid nervously chuckled and scratched the back of his head as everyone soon applauded Sid and cheered for him, making the Flexi-Troll smile and bow, saying, "Thank you." Sid then hoped back to the ground and sat on the bench as he said, "Wow, I...that felt amazing! Thinking for myself and just...it felt amazing! I...I see things a lot more clearly now. I think-," before he saw Captain Raven sit next to him as she said, "Hey, Sid! That was some performance you put on there." Sid chuckled and said, "Thanks, Raven." Raven then asked, "So, Amelia told us that you are currently deciding on if you're going to be staying or going back with your friends." Sid nodded and replied, "I am, but...I've taken some consideration. And, after a while, I think...no, I know...my decision. I know what I'm going to pick." Raven smiled before saying, "Want us to escort you back? We're all heading to give everyone a big send-off anyways." Sid nodded and said, "Sure thing. I'd like that. But, before you do, can I...ask a favor"? Later on, as all of Harmonious Land started to become darker, all of the Normal trolls and Aggie were boarding the train, packing their luggage, as Biggie looked around, asking, "Where's Sid"? Holly added, "Ay hope he isn't in any danguurr, y'all." Melody used her binoculars to look out in the distance as she commented, "I don't think Sid would be in any danger, but...where is he anyway? We haven't seen him since this afternoon." Then, Aggie flew out of the train window and peered out in the distance, noticing something coming towards them, as she shouted, "Guys, something's coming"! Everyone peered their heads out of the window and looked, spotting Sid, walking with the leaders, and what looked like all of Aggie's family on her mother's side, and the rest of Harmonious Land, following them. Everyone was surprised a synth said, "Mind-blowing," with Stereo adding, "Everyone's coming to send us off before we leave"! Once the large crowd arrived, Trollazon stepped forward as she said, "We all came here to say goodbye to you before you all head back, but before you do, I think your friend here has something to say." Sid then asked, "Can you all...step out of the train for a minute"? Everyone gathered onto the station as sid took a deep breath and said, "Well, I took some thought and thought about this decision for a good, long time. I wasn't sure at first, but, I think now, I know what I must do. Guys...I decided...I'm going to stay here." Everyone was silent as Sid explained, "See, I've thought about it, and I realized something...while you guys have taught me so much already...while I was out on my own, I realized...something I still haven't done yet in my reformation: act independently. While before, I would've said that it might be bad for me to do this, but once I actually did it...I gained a feeling, unlike anything I've felt before. I noticed that...while I was learning from you...I also noticed...I relied on you guys a lot, even if you didn't notice or know about it. And...if I'm going to become good, I need to start acting a bit independent, so that way, I can look out for you guys and others the same way you guys did for me.
The same way you helped a lost troll find his place and showed him the path to something great, I have to be able to do that too so that way, no one ever has to live alone and in misery...again. So, after consideration, I decided to stay for the month, and under the watchful eyes of the leaders, I'll be taking their advanced lessons and soon be fully reformed. I...know you probably wanted me to come with you but...this is something...I need to do." Aggie had tears in her eyes as she approached Sid, saying, "Sid, I...could not be more proud of you. We're...going to miss you while you're gone." Sid hugged Aggie as he said, "I'm going to miss you too. I'm going to miss all of you. You...are my family. I've never felt so loved before until I met you and your friends. Tell Buckaroo that when I return, she's going to love the troll I become." Aggie nodded, saying, "I will. And you be careful too, ok"? Rodrigo then said, "Don't worry. Sid is in great hands." Encarnacion then stepped forward as she said, "Sid will be staying with us for the month, so you don't have to worry about him being by himself or with strangers." Melody then said, "I'm going to miss you, Sid. You'll come back after the month, right"? Sid nodded, saying, "I will. Promise. While it's great to be here, I can never be far away from my home for too long. My true home: Trollstopia." Melody hugged Sid as the Flexi-Troll said, "Tell Val to keep rocking hard for me, ok"? Melody nodded and said while wiping her tears away, 'I will." Sid then opened his arms and said, "Everyone, before you go...can I have one last group hug until we meet again"? Stereo, Biggie, Synth, Trollex, Holly, Rhythm, Laguna, Blues, Soundwave, Serenade, Jasmine, Melody, and Aggie gathered around Sid, and they all hugged him tightly. Not one dry eye was in the group or the crowd, as Trollex said, "Be careful, Sid. And...we'll see you in a month." Sid nodded, allowing his own tears to fall, as she smiled and declared, "I promise. You guys take care. I'll write every day to you guys. I can't wait to see you in a month." Everyone nodded in agreement as Aggie led her friends back onto the train. Melody placed her engineer hat on and looked out the window of the engine, seeing Sid smile, as she tearfully shouted with a proud smile on her face, "All aboard," and blew the whistle. The train began to roll, as everyone waved the Normal trolls and Aggie goodbye, with Sid shouting, "Bye, guys! I'll see you soon! I promise I'll never forget all you taught me so far! I'll show you everything I've learned when I come back! See you soon"! The train soon moved up the tracks and exited Harmonious Land as everyone was soon on their way home.
On the train, Melody said, "Well, there goes another memorable adventure in Harmonious Land." Stereo then said, "Yeah, and it was a lot of fun. We originally were going to stay for one night, but we ended up almost staying the whole week." Laguna cradled Jasmine while saying, "Note: It truly was a great trip, and I feel so happy that we tagged along," as Holly then sadly asked, "Then, why do ay feel so down"? Trollex answered, "Because...we're missing one: Sid." Biggie was petting the Cuddlepup, who was asleep in his cage, and said, "I'm going to miss Sid. It'll be hard getting by the month without him in Trollstopia." Aggie then said, "I miss him too, guys, but...look at him. When he made his decision to go through the lessons for the month, he looked so happy. I knew he was proud of making the decision, and honestly, I think it really was the right one." Rhythm then commented, "Still...it won't be the same without him for a month," as Blues added, 'He may be a little wild at times, but he's always so eager." Synth then said while cradling Soundwave and Serenade, "I'll miss his energy and his playful go-lucky attitude. But, it's only a month so, he'll come back soon." Melody nodded, saying, "Yeah, and we all support his decision. And I can't wait to see how much Sid has grown when he comes back." Aggie then pulled out her acoustic guitar and started to strum something as a song took over, making everyone on the train sing. Even Sid, who was brought to a guest room inside the Mondejar house, couldn't help but sit on the bed and look out the window, feeling a song take over, and started to sing too.
The next day, the train pulled out at the Metroll train station, and everyone got off-board. Laguna and Stereo carefully brought their babies out before placing them in the strollers as Synth yawned and commented while stretching, "Man, what a trip." Holly trotted out while saying, "But it sure feels good ta be back in Trollstopia." Biggie then said, "I'll catch up with you guys later. I have to go bring this Cuddlepup back to its owner," and left, bringing the Cuddlepup with it. Melody hung up her engineer hat and stepped out of the train, saying, "Feels good to be home." Aggie flew out, with Trollex following behind her, as Aggie commented, Yeah, and, everything looks the same as we left." Trollex then said, "So, why don't we all get some breakfast and then go see Poppy? She'll be excited to see us again." Everyone nodded and proceeded to walk into town. Meanwhile, Sid was just finishing breakfast and walked out of the Mondejar's house, not before giving his friendly partings before exiting the doorway. He then took a deep breath and said, "Ok, time to start my lessons. Don't worry, my friends. I'll be back soon," and whistled, shouting, "Taxi"! A taxi came up to him as Sid hopped in, saying, "The palace, please. Don't want to be late for my first lesson." The taxi driver understood and took off, as Sid was on his way towards his first adventure during his month-long stay in Harmonious Land.
