A/N: I'm not sure why but I want Bella to be in Volterra to soon I know you want more Aro/Rebecca stuff, but I wanted this chapter so please don't hate on it (it just makes me wonder should I get Charlie in on the secret and ship him to Volterra (maybe in a sequel)). Also, can we all just pretend that at the end it's a plausible time for her I don't know the British to American time frames and whatnot and I'm too lazy to search it up.

Bella's Point of View

I walked out of the house to my truck. Edward was walking with me. He looked like he had something to say but he didn't say it. I got into my truck on the passenger's side since I knew Edward would want to drive. We were about halfway home before he said anything, "are you going to go with us?" that's when I realized Edward was going to go to.

He was going with his family to Volterra, "but how would I go there? I have school I would have to graduate. Wouldn't people notice?" he looked at me in the way that always made me afraid because he was supposed to be driving "Bella, Carlisle asked me to convince you to come with us. Please?" I didn't want to go to a very dangerous center of vampiric activity, but Edward would be there, his family would protect me.

"what would I tell Charlie?" he thought about it for a second. "the same thing Rebecca did. That you have the chance to study abroad. you can even say that it's in Italy, in the same place as her. I remembered Charlies mind from when he figured it out. He was happy for her. He'll probably let you go if you told him about this."

I had no doubt that he was happy when he learned she got the chance to 'study abroad', but I didn't know if he would feel the same way about me. "okay," I breathed "I'll tell him that, I guess I have to tell him we will leave tomorrow." then I added "will you help me pack?" he nodded, small blessings.

I thought maybe just maybe I wont die on this trip. The rest of the ride to my house was short. It was always too short when I was with Edward. At least I would become a vampire someday soon. There wasn't much to say, but when we got to my house, he opened my side of the door with his vampire speed.

When I got out, I noticed Charlie's police cruiser. I wouldn't be able to wait until dinner to butter him up with a meal. Going inside, I said "Charlie?" semi-loudly "yes bells? I'm in the living room" (the irony) I went there, "okay, Charlie, I have something to tell you. I got the chance to study in Italy like Rebecca. I sent in the form for her school a little while ago and got excepted."

His expression was unreadable, and I had the feeling that having this conversation was weird enough for him because he was antisocial like me; but even more so since I was going to be the second person to leave for Italy in the past few weeks. "are you sure Bells? I know you and Rebecca were close, but do you have to leave for Italy? I mean we have Dante, and granted I know that he's a bit of a weird form of communication but are you sure you want to go to Italy to study abroad just to be with her?" yes I was, I did miss her, and I hoped that I would get to know her better since I clearly didn't know her at all.

Maybe I could convince her to have an abortion. I really didn't like the idea of an extension of the people who tried to kill me despite Carlisle constant reassurance that they were 'only doing their job' and of the sort. I knew I was being stubborn, but I still couldn't get over it. "I'm sure Charlie." He sighed, I had to imagine that Rebecca's conversation with Charlie had been something like this. "fine, when are you leaving?" Carlisle said tomorrow but he didn't say what time, "tomorrow, and don't worry about driving me. Edward will be fine driving me there."

He sighed, I brought up Edward again. I know that Charlie really didn't like Edward, but he had to understand that I was in love with Edward. I was his mate, and nothing was going to change that. I would always love him, "okay, just try not to get hit by a car and be safe." Charlie still had no leads and despite the rest of the force telling him that the car probably malfunctioned, he still wouldn't believe it. He had gotten a new cruiser and his cuts and bruises had finally healed but I knew he still wanted to find whoever did it. I was afraid that it would kill him trying.

Obviously, whoever it was, was a vampire. I dread to think that it was one of the newborns. I casually looked over my shoulder to see if there was anyone watching me. there was no one, "why do you keep doing that bells?" I looked back at Charlie and tried to play innocent, "doing what?" he sighed, "looking over your shoulder. It started before the car crash so don't lie. What's it about?" what to tell Charlie? "I just don't know. I feel like someone's watching me."

Obviously not the answer he wanted. I could tell because of the sighing, "just tell me if there's someone threating you." he said before returning to his newspaper. I got upstairs so I could start packing. Edward was already there, usually he waits until the nighttime, but I did ask for him to come in today. He hugged me and said, "so what do you want to take?" I started pointing out things I should take and then the small little keepsakes that I wanted to take.

I had very few of them and we were done with packing in about five minutes. Mostly because of his speed. I looked at the clock, 5:54 it was a long time until bed, but I would wait for it. I ended up sitting there staring at the wall until it was time to make dinner.
