Maho, Miho and Olivia were sitting in their main room. Miho was visiting Kuromorimine as part of a mission as Maho wanted to speak to her about what was happening.
"The picture doesn't look good for any of us. Anchovy had just admitted defeat, Anzio no longer has any money for the sensha-do team, Darjeeling and Kay are getting prepared to open up a second front and go after you." Miho laid out the details. Maho nodded as she looked at her little sister.
"I know so I was going to ask this and this for Kuromorimine only and that was to establish an alliance for us to fight on both fronts, the other schools should rest as we have the most energy and vigor." Maho told Miho about this as she wanted to get this done. She slid the paper forward as she wanted to make a deal. "Sign here and we can secure ourselves an alliance with Ooarai." Maho's head flopped forward as it was clear something wasn't right with her.
"Onee-san is there something wrong?" Miho asked. Olivia looked at her mentor as if she helped Maho up.
"Yeah, I feel hot and I've been having a pounding headache for some time now. I'm going to stumble to the nurse to find out what's wrong with me. Olivia, take over for me." Maho got up as she began walking away as she wasn't feeling like her usual self. Olivia slid into her seat as she decided to finish up with Miho.
"Sign here and we should come to your aid." Olivia told Miho as Miho picked up the pen and began signing her name.
"Kaya-san, you look like a mix of Azusa and Onee-san, does she take care of you?" Miho asked as she wanted to figure out if this was the case.
"Yeah she does if I will tell you that. My mentor makes sure nothing will happen to me and in the promise that I will continue to impress and do my job, she gives me love in return." Olivia told Miho as she looked at the younger Kuromorimine student.
"What do you wish to be when you grow up, I want to follow Onee-san's dream and become a Sensha-do instructor." Miho asked as she wanted to continue to be like Maho but with her own tips and tricks. Olivia didn't know how to respond to this as she hadn't thought much of the future.
"I… I don't know what I want to be. I haven't put much thought into it. Don't know if Shiho is willing to keep me around as I get older?" Olivia stammered as she wasn't exactly sure about how to respond to this. Miho looked at her as she began speaking.
"I'm sure Shiho will be more than happy to keep you, to guard the estate after you get out of university." Miho gave her the offer to be a guard for Shiho. Olivia didn't know how to respond to this as she didn't have the best thought for it.
"I know your offer might be tempting but will Shiho really need guards?" Olivia asked as she wasn't sure about this either.
"In the future she might." Miho gave her answer but it wasn't exactly set in stone. "I want to see Onee-san to make sure she's alright." Miho got up as she had written her signature down on the paper. Olivia grabbed it as they made their way for the nurse's office.
The two students had arrived at the office as Maho was busy getting tended to the nurse. Miho walked over as she handed the paper back to Maho but Maho scooted the paper back to Miho.
"That goes in the office when you decide to head on the way out so that the alliance can be confirmed." Maho told Miho what to do with the paper. Miho looked up to the nurse as she seemed to be worried.
"What is wrong with Onee-san?" Miho asked the nurse.
"Maho's just running a fever and has some aches but she's fine." The nurse gave her input on what was wrong with Maho. Miho breathed a sigh of relief as she knew Maho was going to be alright.
"I wish I could stay longer but I have to get back to my school to tell everyone about the alliance. It was nice spending time with the both of you." Miho began to leave the room, she gave one last glance back to Maho before leaving the office completely. Olivia was now all alone with Maho as Maho gathered her strength to speak.
"My apprentice." Maho began. Olivia looked at Maho as she wanted to figure out what she wanted to say.
"What is it Maho, is there something that you needed?" Olivia asked as she wanted to spend some time with Maho.
"Even though I might be under the weather, I wanted to tell you this for a bit. It is important so you must listen." Maho began as she rested her head on the pillow. "While I'm out and recovering, I want the leadership position to be passed on to you until I recover, you will be leading Kuromorimine for the time being." Maho was handing Olivia the position of leader of the team. Olivia was surprised, while she was used in emergencies only, Maho was giving her the role to lead the team.
"What about you, you are sick, I want to stay behind until you recover, you did that to me when I fell dangerously sick." Olivia wanted to stick to Maho's side much like what Maho did for her. Maho had different words for her apprentice.
"I might not be around forever to keep teaching you or even a few months longer for that matter. For the past year and a half you've been learning from me and always improving on my skills to make your own. Instead of continuing learning from me, it is your turn to lead." Maho knew this was for certain. "As a student whom I can trust the most, I know you will make an effective leader of Kuromorimine."
"I promise I will deliver nothing but victory for Kuromorimine." Olivia told Maho as she wasn't going to let her down with this new position as the leader. Maho nodded as she rested.
"That's a good apprentice, now show Kuromorimine what you mean by your words." Maho told her as Olivia nodded and walked off with some confidence. She was going to truly show what she meant.
Darjeeling, Kay and Katyusha were all in a three-way chat as they were discussing the events that just went down for that day. Darjeeling seemed calm as she sipped her tea. Kay was on a confidence high and Katyusha was itching to see some action.
"Man that match was awesome, we got to storm the beaches and finally showed Kuromorimine who's boss." Kay smiled as she managed to secure herself another victory.
"Much it has been. Naomi proved vital for helping you advance forward especially that Easy Eight she's got. I say about the M4A3's?" Darjeeling asked. Kay didn't seem to be bothered as she was drinking a can of coke.
"Nah we don't need them, our regular shermans are working just fine." Kay told Darjeeling that she wasn't really going to press the M4A3's into action. Darjeeling had some concerns for that.
"Yeah but Kaya-san sat up high on that hill like it was her pedestal, knocking out your tanks left and right especially since your tanks are too small and thinly armored to do anything." Darjeeling told Kay that her regular M4's are running into obstacles that they simply couldn't brute force their way through. "Have you considered your more powerful tanks? The M4A3E2? The M6 heavy tanks? What happened to those?" Darjeeling asked as she wanted to find out what was Kay's logic behind that if they weren't bringing their bigger tanks.
"We don't need them. We might bring the Jumbo's in but not the M6 or M6A1. Kaya-san will most likely be one of those brain-dead tiger tank commanders and will not be able to find the Jumbo's weak spot."" Kay told them as Darjeeling looked at Kay as she had a few words for her.
"If Olivia starts taking you out from left and right because you didn't bring up heavier tanks, I've warned ya." Darjeeling told Kay to watch herself and not let her confidence get the better of her. She turned back to Katyusha as she wanted to ask her about what her plans were and what she wanted to do about it. "So Katyusha, me and Kay did our part, it's your turn to give Kuromorimine a whack to tire Maho out. She wasn't feeling well at all which gave us a much needed victory." Darjeeling wanted to hear what Katyusha's plan was. Katyusha rubbed her hands together as she began to speak.
"We plan on finishing off Kuromorimine in a two stage operation, first of which we will catch their center part of the team off balance and force them into a corner. We'll push their northern part of the team forward into the sea and destroy them, finally an attack in the south to destroy them and more importantly deny Kuromorimine Count High School's oil supply. Once their oil is cut, they will be drained to none as oil operates the tanks." Katyusha told them about the operation as Darjeeling and Kay began to nod with approval. They certainly liked this idea but they didn't speak about it. Katyusha continued to talk. "But first we haven't spent much time with them but we want to get Jatkosota out of the way as fast as possible as we don't want Mika to think we are weak so that's who we are going after first. It can test out our new tanks in the field before we take Kuromorimine on."
"What new tanks?" Darjeeling asked as she seemed curious about this and wanted to confirm what Katyusha was planning.
"We're bringing forth the T-34/85, the Su-100 tank destroyer, the ISU-122 and ISU-152 respectively. The T-34/85's will go first as they are the new main tanks." Katyusha told Darjeeling that Pravda will be rolling out new tanks to change their line up and give them a bit more of a punch.
"Yeah huh, won't do much against Jatkosota but I wish you luck." Darjeeling told Katyusha as Katyusha gave a nod. The match was going to be a two part match.
Olivia had arrived on the field with twenty or so tanks for her schools as she was there talking to Mika as she had something on her tongue that she needed to address to Mika.
"Katyusha plans on fighting you first and not us, then she would plan to attack you so for now we're safe but once Katyusha brushes you aside, you're in trouble." Olivia told Mika about the news, Mika looked at her as she began to speak.
"Yes I am aware of that but I am getting something troubling me for the time being, where is Maho." Mika asked as she was wondering where the elder Nishizumi was. Olivia looked at Mika as she began to speak.
"Maho called out sick with a fever and aches so she sent me to lead." Olivia told Mika about it. Mika nodded as she gave her response.
"I hope she recovers fast." Mika sighed as Katyusha and Nonna walked up to her and Olivia. Mika wasn't too thrilled about it.
"Hello good Katyusha, nice to see you." Olivia was the first to greet her. Mika groaned as she began her greeting.
"What do you want?" Mika grumbled as she didn't want to be caught with chatter from Katyusha.
"Mika, you seem grumpy so mighty Katyusha wouldn't speak to you." Katyusha told Mika as she was sitting comfortably on Nonna's shoulders. Nonna turned to Olivia as she continued. "Glad to see you too Kaya-san. Say I haven't seen you in a while, you just keep growing don't you." Katyusha told Olivia as she pointed to the student's endowed shape.
"Yeah I do, Maho takes care of me." Olivia responded as she rubbed her foot on the ground.
"Are you thinking about growing as big as Yuzu from Turtle team?" Katyusha asked as she studied the girl's appearance.
"Hopefully not." Olivia gave her answer, this made Katyusha laugh a bit but she decided to move on to a much more immediate matter.
"How come it's just you today and not you and Maho, where is she?" Katyusha asked.
"Like I said this with Mika, Maho is sick with a fever and she told me to fill her spot for today." Olivia told Katyusha as she had told Mika before. Katyusha looked at Mika.
"You are pretty grumpy as it is, you suspect we will take you out first?" Katyusha asked Mika if this was the case.
"Yes it is, and I fear it." Mika told Katyusha that she wasn't thrilled about being her first target when Pravda had bigger fish to fry.
"Well since this is a two match for today as you might put it, I might make a deal with you if you decide to cooperate." Katyusha told Mika that she was willing to make a deal with her if she cooperated. Mika sighed as she knew it needed to be done.
"If you must, the wind blows in any direction." Mika responded. As Nonna walked away carrying Katyusha with her.
"Man Katyusha is willing to make a deal with you. Don't know what she is willing to do." Olivia told Mika as she wasn't too thrilled about it.
"Katyusha would most likely tell us to disarm the school or worse, make us a puppet after we gave each other bloody noses one before in matches with each other." Mika told Olivia about what was going on. Mika thought about it for a moment before she continued to speak.
"After the second match with Pravda, we've been spending time refining and reforming our team and tactics, our BT-42 is still the centerpiece of the team and will be the flag tank but out of all of that time we have spent reforming the team, we have developed and Ace that we believe can make the difference in the entire match." Mika began walking away as she wanted Olivia to meet this new student. Mika led Olivia to where the student was. She was operating a StuG 3 Ausf G variant with a long gun. She was wearing a white overcoat as Mika walked up to her. "Yoko take the coat off, it's too warm for that." Mika told Yoko to lighten the load. Yoko turned to her as she gave a grimace to her commander. She eventually came around to taking off the white coat as she had a bluish gray cap with the letter K on it. She had short blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes.
"Mika you blew my cover away, now I might be identifiable." Yoko wasn't in the best mood to be bothered, she would strike out like a snake if it was protecting itself.
"Yeah but about that, you have a new friend I would like to introduce you to." Mika told her. Yoko looked at the student as the name popped into her head. She knew exactly who Mika brought over.
"Olivia is that you?" Yoko asked as she walked over as she knew this student's name. Mika was surprised, how was she able to know her this fast. "I haven't seen you since middle school days, how are you doing?" Yoko asked as she hugged Olivia. Olivia released Yoko a moment later as she continued to speak. "I've seen you've certainly grown bigger, how are things lately?" Yoko asked as she studied her friend.
"Good as of lately, I didn't know I would run into you again." Olivia responded. Yoko shook her hand as she wanted to chat with her on a few things.
"Me either. I thought I wasn't going to see you again." Yoko smiled, giving her another hug. "So I wanted to ask what was your farthest target you've ever nailed. I just beat my personal record and my new target is two thousand meters."
"Two thousand six hundred for me." Olivia told Yoko. Yoko was surprised by that far of a target range.
"Jesus, most of us couldn't make that range." Yoko was impressed how this lady managed to get a few hundred meters ahead. "I must make more practice." Yoko told her as her loader whistled for her to come. Yoko looked at Olivia before turning back. "I gotta get myself ready for the match coming up. Take care." And with that Yoko turned as she walked off as she put the coat back on her. Mika looked at Olivia as she waved farewell to Yoko.
"Take care." Olivia smiled as she watched Yoko walk off. Mika looked at Olivia as she was surprised.
"I didn't know you were that famous." Mika responded with a combination of astonishment and confusion. Olivia turned back as she began speaking to Mika.
"Don't know if I was more famous here or back in my younger days?" Olivia asked as she seemed to be attracting a lot of attention.
"Don't know either but by the looks of it you can certainly give the Nishizumi's a run for their money. You're just as famous as Maho and Miho." Mika told her as she and Olivia began walking back.
"Well this does take a lot of work and innovation to stay at the top of the spotlight even getting into Kuromorimine was a challenge. A challenge I was more than happy to accept even if I made some sacrifices along the way." Mika told her as she wanted to see if she was going to be ready. She looked at her watch as she noticed the time.
"Blimey I better get going, it was nice chatting with you." Mika ran off as she wanted to be in her BT-42 for when the match was going to begin.
Mika and her friends had just got themselves into the BT-42 as Aki was waiting with a shell. Mikko was ready to step on the gas as she was eating some candy.
"You girls ready? We have ten tanks of Pravda's to take on." Mika told them what their objective was as Aki loaded the first shell in.
"I certainly am, we haven't seen any action in a long while." Aki told Mika that she wanted to defend against whatever Pravda threw at them.
"Ready to speed it up." Mikko gave her response revving the engine of the BT-42. Many students were spectating as the Kuromorimine students were going to spectate, plan and watch this match to see what they were going to do. The first shot from a 40mm anti-aircraft gun was fired as the tanks from both sides went off to take each other out. Round one had begun.
The BT-42 rolled along the open ground as it was going to scout for targets. The flag tank was being bold, especially with Mika's leadership. Yoko's StuG 3 was hanging back as she was going to attempt to snag one of these tanks' frontal armor and take it out.
"Targets forming up eight hundred and fifty five meters away." Mika told the crew how far Pravda was hanging back. They had their new T-34/85's with them as Aki continued to study.
"They were able to change their tanks that fast, last time we were against them they were still using T-26's and BT's." Aki was surprised at how fast the enemy was able to adapt and change. They needed to watch out as the IS-2 with Nonna at the gun's control. "What should we do Mika?"
"Let's get closer, our new HEAT shells will be able to take them out." Mika told Aki as their tank began rolling forward to get closer to take on one of the T-34/85's. Mikko slammed her foot into the accelerator as she began speeding towards the target. The whole BT-42 was excited to take Pravda on. The rest of the tanks followed suit except for Yoko as she was once again hanging back.
Brook was taking a look out to see the large wave of Jatkosota tanks charging straight for them. This was the perfect opportunity to start landing some hits from close up. The T-34/85's began to turn all at the same time as they had all of their guns bearing at the same time.
"They're five hundred meters away and closing in fast." Brook gave the crew the notice that they were moving in. With all of the T-34's guns pointed in one direction, this would be overwhelming as Nonna's IS-2 and the Kv-2 were going to be used as back up in case the situation went haywire. "Fire." Brook gave the order as the T-34's began firing away. The BT-42 crew zig-zagged around the shots. The BT tanks tried to dodge the shots as well but Brook's first shot nailed a BT tank as the white flag popped out of the tank as the T-34's fired again in unison like the guns on a battleship firing off at once. Mika and the remaining tanks were almost ready to scatter the T-34's as Mika gave the order.
"Fire away." Mika called out, Aki fired the first shot of the HEAT round that was made for the tank, struck the T-34 on the frontal armor but shot bounce off in a weird way, not leaving any streaks of color as the rainbow blob of color crumbled to the ground. "Again!" Mika called out as Aki loaded up another shot and fired away. Same results, no paint left on the T-34 as the shot crumbed to the ground.
"Mika these shots are not working." Aki told Mika as she loaded up another one. Mika was getting worried about this as well as she looked at Aki as she was trying to stay calm.
"We'll find a shot that will work, hang in there." Mika told Aki that something will work. Mikko continued to drive around in circles as the BT tanks continued firing, none of their shots were penetrating the T-34's as another BT tank went down in the fight. "Fire Aki!" Aki fired but like the two previous shots before it, this HEAT shell crumbled away and fell to the ground not leaving any marks on the tanks. Mika was ready to lose it.
"We can't keep doing this." Aki told Mika as another BT tank went down. There were about seven of their tanks compared to ten of the enemy. Mika got on the radio as she knew who to call.
"Yoko! This plan isn't working, we need you at the ready…" Yoko silenced the radio as she didn't want to be heard from Mika, she would be ready when she needed to be. She got on the sights of her StuG 3 and knew that this shot was far out of her guns range. At this point Mika had enough and was going to lose it. "Everyone retreat!" Mika called out as the remaining BT tanks turned tail and fled. The T-34's opened up as their shells rained down around Mika and the tanks as they pulled back. Brook was watching this as the flag tank was getting away.
"We have to pursue them. We can't let the flag tank slip away like this. Nonna, Nina, follow behind us and guard our backs." Brook told them as their T-34's began to pursue the BT tanks. Even with Brook on the move, none of the students know about where Yoko was hiding.
The StuG 3 had a vantage point overlooking a trail that Mika was baiting Pravda through. Yoko was waiting there silently, waiting for the precise moment. Then the rumbling of tanks was heard as Yoko knew what it was. Pravda was coming. The BT tanks raced on through as they were going to use the StuG to create some chaos and they could charge back in and attack. Yoko continued to watch as the T-34's were hidden in the dust that Jatkosota had created in their retreat. Yoko knew full well what this meant.
Without saying a single word, Yoko opened fire, the lead T-34 that was driving by was the first to get hit as a white flag popped out immediately after it was hit. Brook was looking out a few tanks ahead as she knew that one tank was down.
"Nonna, first tank gone down, brute force our way through?" Brook asked as she wanted to gun her way through. Nonna began thinking for a moment as she tried figuring out where these shots were coming from. Yoko slapped her loader across as she wanted another shot. She also kicked the driver with her boot to turn the tank left. She was getting in position to fire another shot off. Nonna thought about this for a moment before coming to the conclusion.
"All right, you will charge on through." Nonna gave Brook the permission to move. "Nina you will help me take out that tank that is trying to knock all of us out." Nonna gave her new orders to begin blowing away.
"You got it." Nina called out as she loaded the warhead for the Kv-2. Once the tank was fully loaded, the Kv-2 prepared to fire while the T-34/85's began their attack through the trail. Yoko's StuG 3 was waiting as it had just finished turning to the left. As the T-34's began to make a breakthrough, Yoko fired without saying a word. The next StuG 3 shot tore into another T-34/85, knocking that tank out. Brook looked on as two T-34/85's were gone and the rest needed to finish Mika off before more would go down. Yoko, without saying a word, signalled for the team to reload.
"Fire." Nonna gave the command. The IS-2 and Kv-2 fired away as their shells landed around where the StuG 3 was. Yoko was shaken as she opened the hatch for the turret and looked out, two heavy tanks were now engaging them. Sighing, she got back down as she signalled for her crew to relocate as both shots missed and it was enough to give her a signal.
Yoko had distracted Pravda long enough for her to reorganize with their remaining tanks but Pravda was once again quick on their heels. Mika looked out to fortunately see six T-34/85's instead of the usual eight.
"Fire." Mika called out for Aki to fire the HEAT shell. Aki fired but the HEAT shell simply crumbled on the T-34/85 without leaving any paint splatters. Aki hurriedly loaded in another shell as Mika signalled her to fire. Aki fired but the shell crumbled again without leaving any marks.
"They're still not working!" Aki called out to Mika. The T-34's fired in their unison. Two more BT tanks were taken out as Mika was once again beginning to panic. Fortunately for her, help was just about here. Yoko had relocated the StuG 3 to a new position some distance away from Mika, the T-34/85's were moving in on her slowly, firing away at Mika's position as the BT tanks were doomed. This was excellent for Yoko to cause some chaos.
Yoko fired another shot into the side of one of the advancing T-34's that tank was immediately knocked out as Brook looked around. She was down to just five tanks and more would come if she didn't do something fast.
"Charge them!" Brook gave out the frantic order as all remaining tanks under her command surged forward against the BT's ignoring the StuG 3 as it wasn't important. Mika and the others were firing away but to no success as their shells couldn't hit any weak spots on the armor or simply bounced off without leaving a scratch on the enemy and shattering on the ground. Brook looked at the BT-42 as she was getting ready to finish that tank off. She pressed the trigger herself instead of having her gunner do it and fired the shot straight into the BT-42. Mika's tank was rocked around as she and three more BT tanks went down. Pravda was very much the winner of the first round. The crowd cheered as a result.
Yoko was wandering around during her downtime as she wanted to see that girl again before round two would begin. Olivia was busy sitting at a wooden table with some tea to drink as Yoko sat down across from her.
"I know for a fact that I've been recently hearing about you huh?" Yoko began, Olivia raised her head as she wanted to hear what Yoko had to say.
"Me? What for?" Olivia asked as she wanted to hear Yoko's reasoning.
"You seemed familiar to me. I bet when we first met it was about three years ago with a practice match." Yoko told Olivia about this.
"Yes I know, you were part of that Swedish middle school, is that correct?" Olivia asked if that was the case.
"Yeah it was but I like Jatkosota even more." Yoko told her as she continued to study her. "I didn't want to be part of a large school where all the finnish students were when their leaders were extremely incompetent and we would easily lose any matches due to poor command."
"Good leadership is the key to victory I suppose." Olivia told her as Yoko takes a pause to continue studying her. It was only a couple moments later when she began to speak.
"How is your left arm doing, it was wrapped up in bandages when we first met and I wanted to see how it was doing?" Yoko awkwardly asked as she stammered a bit at the end. Olivia looked at her left arm for a bit as she turned back to Yoko.
"It's fine. It actually quite healed nicely." Olivia responded as she looked at Yoko. "Is there any stuff from your middle school you were able to take with you like any weapons you were close to? I still have my Luger with me." Yoko paused as she began to think for a moment as she began to think on what she remembered she took with her from her old school to Jatkosota.
"My Swedish M94 Carbine if I remember, I often practice my firing skills with it as we haven't had any matches for months." Yoko responded as that was what she was carrying on her. She takes off the hood revealing the cap she was wearing under her hood. "Say you're the girl who won that Winchester 1907 at that one party?" Yoko asked as she wanted to speak to her about it.
"Yeah I have, why did you ask me specifically, were you there when I won that prize?" Olivia asked as she wanted to find out why Yoko wasn't there when she could have saw her win it directly. Yoko paused for a moment before turning away. After a couple of moments of reflection, she turned head back to Olivia and began to speak.
"That's because I never go to parties. I always found them crowded and loud. Especially calm parties, I just can't handle any form of gossip going over anyone's heads so I don't give into rumors spread around from others, heck I won't even go into town on weekends as they are crowded." Yoko gave her reasoning on why she isn't attending activities. Olivia paused as she began thinking awkwardly.
"Oh… So what is it that you do on weekends exactly?" Olivia asked Yoko if there was anything that she ends up doing on down time.
"Mostly playing computer games, especially tank ones. In fact both in those games and this I will mercilessly stomp the enemy without saying a single word in chat. I already know you don't do much but study." Yoko responded about her activities. Olivia nodded.
"Yeah you're right. My mother always expects me to continue performing at a high capacity. She doesn't want me slacking." Olivia sighed as she wanted to know one thing from Yoko. "So if it was a party that everyone is attending, would you go there?" Yoko paused as she decided to take a moment to think about it.
"No, I prefer being alone. This is why I don't have many friends as I don't want to be caught up in their business." Yoko gave her answer as she wasn't the most entertaining person to be but she prefers to have her peace. "I also do a lot of napping in the sun on a clear day. So it's a thing I enjoy privacy."
"Yeah I've always got my face in the books so it's a thing that I am one that isn't talked about a lot." Olivia shrugged as the two of them would continue their conversation.
Katyusha, Nonna and Mika were having a conversation of their own, this all had to do with round two.
"...like I was saying before, me and Nonna, we want to focus the remainder of our year on Kuromorimine and its allies and since Jatkosota isn't in the alliance by any means, we want to switch our focus on there so we don't have the resources we could spare for follow-up matches with you Mika." Katyusha told Mika about what she was saying and was getting to the end of a conversation.
"So you want an armistice, is that correct?" Mika asked if that was what Katyusha wanted and Katyusha turned to her.
"Yes that is correct." Katyusha responded. She got off of Nonna as she sat down across from Mika. She looked at her as she handed Mika a paper. On this paper the armistice will be signed as a means to end future matches between them. Mika began writing her name down on this as she now nullified any future matches between the two. She handed the paper back to Katyusha.
"Anything you want additional to us Katyusha?" Mika asked as she wanted to figure this out and what it was.
"Yes, you and your crew will be assisting us against Kuromorimine for round two." Katyusha made the request. Mika decided to take a moment to think about it. After coming to a conclusion, she turned to Katyusha and began to speak.
"Yeah we'll be by your side." Mika responded as Katyusha smiled. She got up and began walking away. Round Two was going to begin.
A couple hours later, Olivia Kaya was in her Tiger 1 which was the flag tank. She had a couple of Panthers, Nashorns, Jagdpanzer 4's and regular Panzer 4's. The twenty or so tanks had been spread out along the frontier as Olivia had set herself up in some rough terrain.
"Okay pick out any targets that you might come across, I want to have the flag tank taken out as fast as possible." Olivia told the students to prepare themselves for the incoming attack. Jatkosota's tanks ran ahead first but Pravda was hanging back with their tanks. Nonetheless, Brook began her long range duel with the Panzer 4's.
"Fire!" Brook shouted as all the tanks opened up like a gun on a battleship. The shells landed everywhere as the BT tanks were simply going to rush ahead and try trapping Olivia and the group in a pincer. Olivia was taking notes as she knew the BT tanks would do nothing on her tanks except for the Nashorns with their thin armor and large profiles. Her plan was to take out the heavier tanks while the Panzer 4's would focus on the BT's.
"Return and cover us!" Olivia gave out the signal as the Panzer 4's began firing away at the BT's and the rest of the group began firing at the heavier tanks as Olivia thought that Pravda was still a threat. Many shells began to rain down as the BT tanks tried driving out of the way to avoid getting hit but not all were going to make it. One BT tank was struck from the front and it went down. Another one was struck on the turret as the tank spluttered then it stopped. Pravda's tanks were still the biggest threat but the BT tanks were nothing more than gnats. Olivia looked on and to the terrain behind her. "Fall back everyone." Olivia called out as the tanks began to retreat. The StuG 3 that Yoko was in wanted to get the heavy flag tak with her gun as she squeezed the turret herself. The shot struck the ground as she was on a small hill. Olivia was going to use this window of opportunity and pull her tanks back. Once Mika and the others reached the hill they knew they needed to make a choice.
"We should keep pursuing after Olivia as her tank is the flag tank and so is ours." Mika began as Olivia was willing to give up ground just like that but they lost the flag tank in the process.
"Just like that, yes." Nonna told Mika as the StuG 3 went on ahead as it was going to scout the hill around it.
"I say we keep pushing, we don't give Olivia a moment of breathing space where she could unpack her spades and dig in." Mika gave the suggestion that they should pursue her and take her out. The Kv-2 crew was enthusiastic about this and so was Katyusha.
"Yeah that will work, all tanks follow Mika." Katyusha gave the order as all tanks revved up and began following the BT-42.
Olivia had pulled back her tanks to a new defensive perimeter as she was now on a series of ridges in the hopes to play all the angles at once and take Mika out before sundown. She had just got herself into position when the rumbling of tanks was heard, it wasn't good.
"Drats! They're here already?! We didn't have the time to unpack our spades and dig in." Olivia responded as she was shocked. The Panzer 4's began a similar plan as the BT tanks were still their target. The heavier tanks were going to fire on the medium and heavy tanks. "Fire as fast as possible." The tanks began raining shells down as Olivia fired herself. Two more BT tanks would go down in the ensuing chaos as well as a T-34. The Kv-2 and StuG 3 opened fire on the hill that the Tiger tank was situated on the hills where she was getting bombarded from. Nonna fired her shot in an attempt to knock the Tiger out. The shot missed as Olivia was tempted to firing back but with enemies all around her, she knew that she needed to get out of there. "Everyone begin falling back! We can't hold this position any longer." The Tiger 1 was the first to retreat. The Nashorn was extremely far away as it fired on the IS-2 from twenty-six hundred meters, it scored a bullseye on the heavy tank as the IS-2 was knocked out of action. A white flag popped up as the twenty or so tanks fell back deeper into the field in the hopes of setting up new defensive lines.
"I'm out it's up to you and Brook. Don't know how much usefulness Nina will be in that Kv-2 of hers." Nonna told Katyusha as she was no longer in play. Katyusha felt broken as it was just up to her but Mika and the rest of the group was gone, they were off to pursue Olivia.
The BT-42 group was on the chase as they were going to finish off the Tiger 1. Olivia who had taken no losses so far was still on the run. Olivia popped her head out of the turret to make sure they've gotten away so they can dig in and prepare their new defenses. However, she was wrong as the BT tanks were right on their tails.
"This isn't good." Olivia called out as she had no idea she was still being chased. Might as well fight on the move. "Turn the turret to face Mika down." Olivia gave the order for them to face down her opponent. The Tiger 1's turret began to rotate to the rear as she began to focus in. The Panzer 4 group did the same as all the tanks moved in to protect the tank destroyers as they had no turret rotation. "Hammer away!" The tanks began opening up as the BT tanks tried to dodge the incoming fire. One of them gets hit as a white flag pops out. The tanks continued firing as Olivia continued to make an attempt to flee. Mika was right on her tail.
"Aki load Armor piercing." Mika calmly ordered as Aki grabbed an AP round, hopefully this round will work compared to the HEAT round which were nothing but failures from the first match. The Panzer 4's fired, taking out another BT tank as those tanks were falling prey to the Panzers. Olivia's loader finished loading up the tank as she was waiting for the moment to fire. She focused on the BT-42 which was bearing the flag of the school. One shot was all that was needed.
"Now." Olivia called out. The gunner squeezed the trigger letting the round go flying, the BT-42 sped up unaware of the impending danger. The shot Olivia fired, connected into the speeding BT-42 as the tank flipped over forward and spun around like a wheel, digging into the ground for a bit. All tanks stopped as they watched for Mika's status. A white flag popped from the BT-42 as it was clear that Olivia and Kuromorimine won round two.
[A/N]: 7k words, this chapter is, and it took two days to make, I am proud of myself for that. Also we need to hit 1.5k views when this week is over and we'll do Kuromorimine's destruction.
Also a chapter where Pomorie and her friends aren't in it or even mentioned, this is more Mika orientated as Pravda focused on them first before dealing with Kuromorimine and its alliance. I mean Kuromorimine gets some action in the second match but it's just Mika focused.
Also the new character, I know this has dropped a week ago but I want to give some personality for her based on the info we do get. I might be wrong but then again, she's probably going to only show up for this one chapter. See you later.
