Byaruki thoughts: Side stories for Game of Life
DISCLAIMER : I do not own anything from this story. Entertainment purposes only.
A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 4: Bridging the gap [part 7]
"This is the last time will see each other. The next time will be at the Sokyuko hill, in your execution day"
Byakuya remembered what he said to her, back at her cell, confined in his very own barracks, because of the order given by the central 46.
Though, he had followed their orders, at the back of his mind, he greatly felt injustice.
For in his heart, he strongly believes that Rukia's punishment is exaggerated.
She was to be executed in Sokyuko Hill, by burning her very existence. Destroying her soul, and thus she will never be reborn again.
She will forever cease to exist.
At this thought, Byakuya felt anguish exploding from the deepest part of his soul.
One that he had buried away, slowly after adopting Rukia.
Knowing that he will never have her.
And his love for her screamed at him to do something. Anything!
Save her.
Fight the law.
Gave up everything.
And run away with her, towards anywhere no one will find them.
.
.
But he can't.
Because as much as he loves her…
Most of the people of soul society also loved their family, as much.
For as much as he is dying to protect her.
Most of the Soul Society residence, strive to protect their own loved ones… as much
And if he break the law… as a law implementing leader…
It will take a precedent for greater chaos.
Their people will think that law is so easy to fight with, and one can get away with it…
If he does not follow the law as model to his people, who will follow the law…
The law that enable their society where they all exist in peace and harmony, to function like a well-oiled machinery.
If he let his emotions take control of him, his rationality well be trumped down by the shear power of it.
Chaos will ensue.
Peace will never exist in chaos.
And thus….
Due sacrifice is needed.
If he had to live with a hole in his heart, he will do so as the leader of his people.
For the sake of greater good.
Forgive me, Rukia.
To be continued….
