It wasn't fair, was it? To be given a life that others despised.
Always considered "other" and not a person.
Moving from city to city and ducking down back alleyways.
Getting into a jam with the law by having to boost a car or steal a meal.
In the past it was more possible to live in the shadows and do what had to be done. But people just kept expanding into the uncharted territory and with people came cameras and with that there were pictures and videos. This wasn't a tv show to be feared and wondered at, it was real life. If things kept up the way they were, well, there would be no more stealing a human here or there.
Really, as far as monsters were concerned, all these smartphones meant that their time was short, their goose cooked.
Shame, wasn't it? Not fair being born or made into something that made you a bit bloodthirsty and then being hunted for it. Right?
