The wind hit Adeleine's cheeks and the cold kissed her. Pink stained her face and a shadow emerged from behind. Her gaze was solely focused at the stars so she didn't notice the person approaching from behind her.

"A-Addy?" she heard the familiar voice and her head whipped around at lightning speed.

She rubbed her nose and dried the tears. Only her sniffles were heard in the wind as she tried to mask that she had been crying.

"Who are you?" she asked, not being able to see the person's face.

"It's me" he took a step forward, "Jackson."

She gave a forced chuckle and Jackson could instantly tell that something was wrong. "What are you doing up here?" she asked, turning her head to the stars to mask her face.

"Just wanted to watch the sky" he shrugged, "It's beautiful."

She nodded, "It truly is."

He rolled his tongue on the inside of his cheek and walked towards Adeleine's sitting body. He took the seat next to her as they watched the stars silently.

"So why were you up here?" he asked and Adeleine hoped that he couldn't see her tear stained cheeks.

"Same reason as you" she lied with a tight lipped smile. He hummed in response, but didn't believe her.

The light from the shining moon betrayed her as he noticed her red, puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks. His brows furrowed and wondered if she had gotten into a fight with Draco about Marion.

He had no clue why Marion was hurting Adeleine, but he knew that she couldn't be stopped. She was a force to be reckoned with and always got what she wanted, no matter what. She destroyed anyone that would get in her way.

"Have you been crying?" he cautiously asked, not wanting to frighten the girl or be nosy about whatever was going on.

She gave a weak smile, knowing it was pointless to try to lie her way out of it because the evidence was written all over her face.

"Yeah" she answered with a sniffle and hugged herself tighter, "but I'm fine now."

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked warily and Adeleine felt herself oddly comfortable in his presence.

Maybe she was just sad, but she didn't want to have to wake up Theo in the middle of the night because she wanted to have a cry. He was there and he would listen without judgement.

She hummed and gave a small shrug which Jackson took as a yes. "It's hard you know? Loving someone and having them being slowly taken from you without you being able to do anything about it."

"You really love him?" Jackson asked quietly and Adeleine gave a gazing smile.

"Of course, if I didn't I wouldn't be fighting this hard for him" she replied, her arms hugging her legs as the stars twinkled over her.

They stayed silent for a moment, a brief silence passing over them and Adeleine turned to him with a questioning look on her face.

"Why him?" she asked and Jackson hadn't realized she asked him a question for a moment.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"I mean, why does she choose to make him the target of her affections?" Adeleine repeated the question, explaining it more.

Jackson was confused as to why Adeleine asked that question. 'Why him?' instead of 'Why her?' Apparently, Adeleine valued Draco's safety more than making herself the victim of the situation, which she was.

"I don't know" Jackson shrugged, "Being Malfoy's girlfriend comes with status, money, and fame. Maybe that's it."

Adeleine nodded with a long, heavy sigh. It made sense though. Not to make any assumptions, but the girl looked like a bitch, acted like a bitch, and was a bitch. She was most likely doing it for the status to become higher in the non-existent wizarding hierarchy.

"Probably" she replied and silence befell the pair again.

"Is there any way to counter it?" Adeleine asked and Jackson furrowed his brows.

In all the time that Marion had been destroying various girls' lives, no one had ever asked him that. The girls mostly just sulked in sadness as they watched their boyfriends be drained of all their wealth and not remember anything afterwards.

Jackson gave a small sight, before turning to her with a sympathetic look on his face. "Not that I know of. Look, she's been doing this for a really long time. It'd be best just to give up."

Adeleine's face contorted to one of disgust as she looked to Jackson. It was quite obvious that Adeleine was going to do the opposite of give up and try her best to find a solution to the madness.

"Why would you ever say that?" she scoffed in disbelief at the boy in front of her.

"I'm just saying" Jackson said, "There's no countering it. So just give up. You'll find someone else eventually."

Adeleine couldn't believe what she was hearing. He was telling her to give up on the boy that she loved who was currently being manipulated by a blond veela gold digger. Even if the two didn't end up together, she wouldn't doom someone to that fate. She was better than that.

"Jackson" she started, "My first boyfriend died during the war and that hurt like a bitch. I cried for hours everyday and everything I looked at reminded me of him." She felt herself tearing up at the thought of Fred, "And now I've found someone who makes me feel like I'm on Cloud 9 whenever I'm with him. You're telling me to give that up even though I probably won't find that again."

A tear slid down her cheek and Jackson quickly reached over to brush it off. Jackson felt terrible for what he had said to Adeleine. He hadn't realized that there was absolutely no chance of him and Adeleine ever being together again, but then again maybe the Amortentia already knew that.

Jackson had been confused with what he smelled because it was a new and unfamiliar scent that he had not expected. He smelled the same passion fruit Adeleine used, but that was it. It wasn't very strong, so maybe the potion knew that the two weren't even meant to be together.

"I'm sorry" Jackson finally said after a brief moment of silence had passed over them.

Just because he was lonely, didn't mean that he should take out his anger on her. Was he jealous of Draco? He didn't think so, but maybe he was.

"It's alright" Adeleine shrugged, "All is forgiven."

That was the problem. She was too forgiving, too nice, caring, and perfect. There was no way that Jackson wasn't in love with her. He understood why Draco was attracted to her. It was quite obvious that the girl was the personification of perfection. Her brilliance was unmatched unless you were talking about Hermione Granger, she was beautiful and fun, kind and caring.

Jackson felt his heart tug in the same place as it did whenever he thought of her. It had been years, he really had to get over it because it was long gone. She was with someone else and they seemed like they were endgame, until now at least.

"Why do you think I smelled that in the Amortentia?" Jackson asked abruptly and Adeleine gave a little humpf.

Adeleine wasn't sure why he smelled that or what he smelled. "Maybe that's your soulmate and you haven't met them."

Jackson gave a small snort, "Soulmates aren't real."

She shrugged her shoulders and tilted her head, "Most people think magic isn't real."

Jackson's lips curled into a smirk. Her witty and smart retorts was what made him like her in the first place. No one could tell him that it wasn't the cutest thing ever.

"Touche" he nodded with a small smirk toying at his lips.

Adeleine gave a small laugh and Jackson followed. The laughter quickly died down as Jackson turned to Adeleine, their eyes meeting for the first time.

Her icy sapphire blue eyes met his warm hazel brown and Jackson's heart skipped a beat. She gave him a small smile, a rosy blush coating her cheeks from the cold wind blowing past them.

She began humming a little tune as she watched the sky. He watched as her face scanned the stars and smiled under the moonlight.

His hand made its way to her face and their eyes met once again. He brushed the brown strands of hair out of her face and cupped her chin.

Draco walked furiously down the halls, trying to find his girlfriend. He had to apologize and he knew he was in the wrong. He had acted upon jealousy and should have trusted her, especially when it was Marion who had provided the information.

He hated himself and the bookshelves in his room had been destroyed. Books were scattered all along the floor and there were large indented holes in walls from his punches. Blood covered his knuckles as he rushed down the hallways.

There was only one place she would go that brought the both of them comfort. The Astronomy Tower was where she had to be and so he set off. His footsteps were quiet against the stairs, not wanting to scare her off.

He saw her silhouette in the dark and so he approached, suddenly seeing the shadow of another person, another man. His face quickly contorted into anger. One fight and she was already with someone else?

Draco walked up seeing as Jackson Bleu cupped the cheeks of his beloved and asked, "Can I kiss you?"

He didn't need anymore than that to take off and set on a mission to the Slytherin common room. He pushed through the portrait wall without even muttering the password, the portrait was afraid and just let him in.

There was chatter coming from the common room chairs as Marion and her friends sat lounging and gossiping, with glasses of fire whiskey.

Marion raised an eyebrow at the blond boy, but the look on his face said something different. She could tell something had worked in her plan because the boy was fuming, fists balled up and jaw clenched. The veins in his forehead could be seen, his grey eyes piercing into her baby blue ones.

"Draco, what are you doing here?" Marion asked and Draco didn't give her time to continue what she was saying before he smashed his lips on hers.
