A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 4: Bridging the gap [part 8]
As Rukia was escorted towards the white tower, overlooking the Sokyuko hill, where she's going to be executed.
She could not help but feel a bit of foolish hope, knowing that Ichigo came for her. And now was currently causing chaos in Seiretie.
But she feared for his safety, and of his friends.
For its not worth it.
Her life isn't worthy cause for sacrifice.
At this thought, Rukia spent her time, staring down at the place she was to be burned and erased from the worlds.
Maybe it's better that way.
At least, she can now repent for her sin towards Kaien.
She just hope that Ichigo and his friends will be safely sent back to the human world.

That night, she dreamed of her time with Kaien.
And peace came down to her heart.
Acceptance.

She found her resolve.

Byakuya on the other hand, visited his parents graves. Meditating about his decision.
Finding peace, that he could never have.
Except blind logic and principle.
