Chapter 47-Coming Home
Daryl's P.O.V
Daryl wakes up and looks around. He leans up and sees that Alicia was gone. Daryl looks around. He stands up and grabs a shirt, and puts it on before he walks downstairs. He looks at the table and sees John and Alicia sleep with their heads down and a scrabble board in front of them. Daryl smiles as he looks at them. He knew that Alicia was having fun with John. He was happy she was able to forget about the world and have fun. Daryl walks down the rest of the stairs and walks over to them. He pulls out his handgun and grabs Alicia out of her holsters. He presses the guns up to their backs. He felt them both tense. "Reach for the sky," Daryl says. Alicia turns her head and looks at him.
"You're not funny, and give me my gun," Alicia says to Daryl, who smiles and hands his gun to her. John looks at him.
"I thought it was pretty funny," John says. Alicia glares at the man.
"Don't encourage his behavior, cowboy," Alicia says as she stands up and goes to grab some water.
"You have done me a favor dealing with her," Daryl tells John, who chuckles. Alicia looks at him.
"You can sleep on the couch tonight," Alicia says. Daryl walks behind her and wraps his arms around her waist.
"It's my room," Daryl says to her.
"What are you two. Daryl told Easten and me, and I quote, "I don't know if I would say, girlfriend...someone I kiss," John says.
"Who's side are you on?" Daryl asks John, who chuckles. Alicia turns around in Daryl's arms and kisses him.
"I would agree with the someone I kiss statement. I wouldn't mind being called your girlfriend," Alicia says. Daryl smiles as he leans down and kisses her. He looks at John, who had a small, sad smile on his face.
"Now we gotta finish this wall and find Laura. Isn't that right, John?" Daryl asks the man, who nods.
"That's right," John says. John grabs his hat and puts it on. John stands up. "We should probably help with the wall today," Alicia groans.
"I honestly don't want to," Alicia says. She looks at Daryl. "Break my arm," Before Daryl can reply, they hear the door fly open, and all turn.
"Daryl, Shane's here," Rick says. Daryl lets go of Alicia and walks outside as Shane gets out of the truck. Daryl goes down the stairs and hugs Shane, who hugs him back.
"Good to see you, brother," Shane says as he looks behind him at John and Alicia. "Did you go back to the wild west?" Shane asks. Daryl lets him go and looks at John.
"That's John Dorie. Found him about a week ago," Daryl says. John walks down the stairs and holds his hand out to Shane, who grabs it.
"Shane Walsh," Shane says.
"Daryl told me who I was," John says as Madison gets out of the U-Haul. Alicia goes down the stairs and runs over to her mom, and hugs her.
"Has she been as worried as Madison?" Shane asks Daryl as the group starts to wake up and starts to get out of the car. Nick joins in the hug with his mother and sister. Daryl looks at Shane's group.
"You're missing a few people," Daryl says.
"Some of us didn't make it," Shane says. "What happened to your arm?"
"What happened to your eye?" Daryl asks back. Merle walks up behind Daryl.
"No hug for me, baby brother?" Merle asks. Daryl smiles as he turns around and hugs Merle.
"Where's Otis?" Shane hears Patricia asks.
"Mason killed him," Shane says.
"Mason?" T-dog asks as the rest of the group looks at Shane.
"We were in a school. Walkers were locked inside a room. Mason lost it and let 'em out. He killed Otis with the bolt cutters. We lost Duane and Jimmy to the walkers," Shane says.
"And Mason?" Hershel asks.
"He took my eye. I killed him and burnt his body," Shane tells them. "We buried the others," Shane hears Patricia start to cry. "Who did you lose?"
"Morales family and Travis," Daryl says. "We got attacked by a group. We would have lost more if not for Gideon and his group,"
"Jason Gideon?" Derek asks.
"Yeah, he's somewhere around here," Daryl says. "We also found Emily Prentiss," Derek and Hotch nod as they walk away.
"You have a lot of new people," Shane says.
"Yeah, we found some people. I see you did too," Daryl says.
"We are going to be busy today," Shane says.
"Yeah, we are. We should start by unloading all this," Daryl says. Shane nods as Daryl goes over to Glenn and hugs him.
"How was your trip?" Daryl asks the man.
"I'm tired," Glenn says.
"Too bad, we have to unload the supplies and get everybody somewhere to sleep," Daryl says. Glenn sighs as he opens the U-Haul trailer. Daryl looks at the solar panels. "Good job," He says.
"Tyreese is a strong dude," Glenn says.
"Tyreese?" Daryl asks. Glenn points over to Tyreese.
"That's Tyreese. He found us," Glenn says.
"Yeah, that makes sense," Daryl says. "Come on, let's get to work," Glenn nods as he starts to unload the U-Haul with Daryl.
Madison's P.O.V
Madison walks into Patricia's room and sees her putting her stuff in her bag. "You can keep this room," Madison says.
"No, you and Shane need it," Patricia says as Madison stands by her.
"I lost my husband too," Madison says. "It's been a while, but I know the pain,"
"How did you move on?"
"It took a while, but I thought about my kids and how they needed me. I took a while, but one day, it will be better," Madison tells the woman. "I'll help you move," Patricia nods.
John's P.O.V
John runs over to Shane, who was helping set up tents for the group. "Shane," John says. Shane looks at him. John pulls out his gun and holds it out to Shane, who slowly grabs it. "Have you seen anybody with this gun while you were on the road," Shane looks at the gun and shakes his head.
"Sorry, John," Shane says as he holds the gun out to John, who grabs it.
"Figured I had to ask," John says to him. Shane nods as John walks away. John walks back to the cars and helps them start to unload.
Morgan's P.O.V
Morgan throws his bag into his tent. "You're Morgan, right?" Eastman asks from behind him. Morgan turns around and looks at him.
"Yes, I am," Morgan says to him. Eastman holds his hand out to Morgan, who shakes it.
"I'm Eastman," Eastman says. "I know what it is like to lose a child. How it breaks you," Eastman pulls a book out of his back pocket and holds it out to Morgan. Morgan slowly grabs the book and looks at it. The Art of Peace it had on it. Morgan looks at Eastman. "Read it and let me know if you are interested. It improved my life, and it can improve yours," Eastman says before he walks away. Morgan looks at the book for a moment before he shoves it into his back pocket and walks over to the others.
Thanks for reading. This one is a little bit shorter than what the others have been, but that is okay. The next chapter will be the rest of the day and more talks. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
