"Uh... can you repeat what you said, but slow down?"
"There's this new band that formed and the lead singer is a trans girl and she's getting bullied online. We should show her some support!"
"And how do we do that?"
"Hmm... everyone do it their own way?"
"That doesn't really help. We don't even know this girl."
When Kasumi had randomly summoned all the vocalists to a meeting, no one had known what to expect. This just proved that. This was not the type of meeting anyone was expecting to have today.
No one knew what to say or do with this information. They didn't know the band. They didn't know any of the members. How were they supposed to help out? Would their help even be appreciated? What if it was seen differently by them?
"We can't just let it happen. Come on." Kasumi wasn't taking no for an answer. They were doing something to help the girl. She wouldn't let them leave.
"Kasumi, I don't think we should get too involved. This isn't our place."
"If you won't do anything, then I will."
No one knew what that could be. But, knowing Kasumi, they definitely would have to keep their eyes on her. Who knew what crazy idea she might try and enact.
Now, did they want to help this girl? Yes. But, they were sorried they were overstepping their boundaries. They didn't know anything but the names of the band members. This girl... Mashiro... was not someone they ever interacted with before.
Of course Kasumi decided the best thing to do was to make a public post shaming people for bullying the girl. And that was a very big mess. There were so many fights going on. No one knew how to solve it.
"Was that really necessary, Kasumi?"
They had all met up again, sharing their disappointment in Kasumi.
"Yes. Look, she sent me a message thanking me for standing up for her." Kasumi showed the others her phone.
True to her word, there was a message there.
"So, she thanked you. But, you did cause a whole mess, Kasumi. Look at the fighting in the comments."
"So?"
No one really knew what to say to her anymore. It was obvious she was pleased with herself.
"Well, I guess we can all do similar things. Maybe with all of us, they won't be so bold anymore?"
"True. Actually, some people have been tagging us or other members in our bands and asking us what we think. Most of them want us to be against Mashiro."
"Then let's do that. Show them they don't have our support."
And that was what they did. Kasumi made another post of her own, saying she wasn't backing down on her stance. Kokoro very quickly joined in and sent her own message out there, confirming she was in agreement.
Aya went next. She was a bit nervous to draw that much negative attention to herself, but she knew she had to do her part. So, she added on, saying she was not going to belittle another brand for something out of their control.
Ran went in a bit more aggressive. She was firm with her message, and very quickly fighting with people who disagreed. That was to be expected with her. Not like the others were doing the same too, though.
Yukina tried her best, thought Lisa ended up writing the message for her. Yukina didn't get too many people fighting her. She didn't know why. Were they afraid to fight her?
Rei was last to do it. She didn't know what to say now. Everyone had taken what she had thought of. She ended up just saying if anyone was going to bully Mashiro, they should unfollow her now as she wanted nothing to do with them.
Within a day, they all got messages from Mashiro, thanking them for supporting her. But, also asking for advice. With all of the issues going on, no one wanted to let them perform at any venues.
Kasumi made very quick work of that and got them a gig at the CiRCLE. It was very easy to do. Marina was more than happy to let them have fun and perform.
Kasumi was very proud of what she had accomplished. And Mashiro was very thankful for her as well.
