Another challenging week has gone by. Jayce and J.R. continue to be a challenge; Bulma tells Crosshairs and Drift to stay with the two girls; both to keep them safe and because she doesn't want them to watch Jamie if she has difficulty as Bulma tries to take her off the ventilator; knowing she could do fine for a few hours then need more oxygen support again. Bulma waited two days before having Crosshairs and Drift return.

Drift frowned, seeing Jamie is still on the ventilator; fear overcame him as he thinks it's been fifty days. They're already going beyond what human doctors would do. She would have been left to die thirty-five days ago if other doctors took care of her.
He tries to walk away, but Bulma stops him and hugs him.
"She's continuing to do better," Bulma assures Drift, "70% oxygen support now, and she's been doing well breathing on her own."
Crosshairs and Drift smile at this news. They knew Jamie likely had setbacks, but she's strong enough to fight. Both wonder if she's struggling now?
Bulma explains how Jamie is breathing independently while still on the ventilator, relieved they don't want a detailed explanation. The two mechs sit by the bed, debating if they should tell Jayce and J.R.

Meanwhile, Bee gets Jayce and J.R. to watch T.V. Hound and Vegeta make something for lunch, hoping the girls will eat food.
"Let's try ramen," Vegeta suggests, "these instant cups are a good start if they'll eat. If not, I'll eat them so we won't be wasting food."
They made instant ramen for everyone and brought it to the Bee and the girls.

Jayce and J.R. ate the ramen, which pleased Bee, Hound, and Vegeta. All three thought maybe they could start giving the girls Raman instead of the nutrition drink. This is something they'd talk to Bulma, Crosshairs, and Drift about.

Crosshairs and Drift stay with Jamie for four hours before they go back to Jayce and J.R. Bulma goes with them to tell Bee and Hound how Jamie is doing. Cade still sits by Jamie when Bulma leaves.

"It's not the best, but it's something," Bulma explains after Hound tells her he and Vegeta got Jayce and J.R. to eat instant ramen, "should be ok if you give it to them for dinner and the nutrition drink for breakfast if you can't get them to eat anything."
Bulma tells Bee, Hound, and Vegeta how Jamie is doing today but tells them they are not to tell Jayce and J.R., even though Jamie is no longer at a high chance of having a setback.
"Come on, Bulma, they'll either not react at all or be happy," Hound argues.
"I told you I'm leaving the decision up to Crosshairs and Drift, but I don't think it would be a good idea."
With that, Bulma walks down the hall.

Crosshairs and Drift still hate how Jayce and J.R. are sleeping in the middle of the afternoon, even though they've been doing this for the past forty days. With Jayce recovered from Post-Concussion Syndrome, Crosshairs takes J.R. to another room even if she'll be asleep for only three hours. Unfortunately, J.R. is a light sleeper this time. She wakes up as Crosshairs lays her in bed, though she's half asleep. He lays in bed with her, not knowing she'd move closer to him, and put an arm over him in a hug before falling asleep.
Jamie is doing better; this will be over soon in the way we want.
Crosshairs lets himself fall asleep with J.R.

I am so tired of this; I'd rather be sitting here by choice, and not because I know it's likely she'll have a nightmare. Drift sighs as he sits by Jayce's bed. He worries about what will happen in her nightmare since she blames herself for this being the worst flare-up to date. Drift hates how he is preparing a syringe with a relaxant.
"Do you want me to watch her?" Bee asks.
"No," Drift replies.
Drift says nothing as he watches Bee sit next to him.

The two mechs sit in the quiet room for a half-hour before Jayce whimpers in her sleep. The two mechs look at each other before Drift picks Jayce up and sits back on the chair, holding her close to him.
"It's ok, just a nightmare," he says calmly, hoping to get the nightmare to stop and keep Jayce asleep. She starts kicking her legs; the two mechs believe in her nightmare, Jayce is running.
"Don't restrain her," Drift warns, while uncertain what to do to get Jayce to wake up.
"Jayce, you're ok; it's just a nightmare. Jamie is still fighting," Drift says.
Scrap, I don't want to tell her Jamie is doing better yet.
Bumblebee watches Jayce calm down and reposition herself on Drift while asleep — or at least with her eyes closed. Drift does what he's been doing to calm the girls down though this time, it's keeping Jayce calm and get her back to sleep. Drift waits for a half-hour before putting Jayce back to bed and covering her with a blanket.
"Back to this shit... and J.R.," Bumblebee sighs.
Drift disposed of the needle on the syringe and puts the syringe in the fridge.
"I hate using sleep aid on the girls, but that was awful. How long before she screams in her sleep?" Drift sighs.

Crosshairs and Drift try to get the girls to eat a half-hour after they wake up from their nap. The girls will eat instant ramen. Everyone knows it's still not the best, but it's a start to get the girls to eat food. Everyone is happy the two girls are watching T.V. while eating, but they worry they've given up and are trying to move on. Forgetting if Jamie was gone, the Autobots wouldn't be here.

"Tell them," Hound insists as the mechs stand in the hallway.
"No," Drift says in a sad tone.
"What if we're wrong and Jamie has a setback?" Crosshairs asks before leading Drift to a room.

Drift doesn't wait for the two of them to sit on the bed before hugging Crosshairs and letting himself cry. Crosshairs gets him to sit in the bed.
I hate this, it's hard watching my friends struggle, but this has to be hard for Drift to watch his girl go through this. We were supposed to let her go a month ago. It's hard to think Bulma knows what she's doing. It's hard not to think Bulma told Drift Jamie isn't doing good, but why wouldn't she tell the rest of us? Please let Jamie recover before one of her friends kills themselves.
