Moving away from the adults, Boruto had a very rough night. He was forced to handle two girls that were very competitive. It felt like they might get into a fight if he wasn't watching.
It was the first time a girl had been so direct with him since they would always stop at the confession step, as none had the guts to act so openly with him.
He was the prince of their dreams but a prince none believe they could touch.
Nonetheless, Boruto did enjoy it. It was something he did want to try someday, though he never knew who it would be with.
Now along with his fight with Natsu and his fight with Asura, Boruto had to worry about romance. He was already fourteen years old with a mindset of someone in his thirties and a body that looked like an adults.
He was 178 Cm tall with slim body unlike Asura and Naruto's wide frame.
His parents and everyone around them encouraged them to enjoy life. Naruto hadn't told them how big the threat really was but all of them knew it was going to busy.
They had lived a long time as kids so it was time for them to get into a relationship. Boruto knew about emotions and love from the basics taught at the academy and from his parents.
He understood why people did certain actions but it was still not easy to follow especially since he lacked the empath ability from his father or the love sensor ability from his mother.
Hinata was a reality warper and she had focused on the concept of love. It was still very much in the beginning stages just like everyone else since it was new and complex.
Fortunately the girls knew restraint and didn't push too far, so they could at least enjoy each other's presence.
Boruto promised a date with Juri while Sumire got the next day.
Moving away from the romance, Boruto went through the academy like usual mostly. Juri and Sumire were closer than ever to him and very touchy.
They were intent on slipping through his defenses. Sumire had even made food for him and it made Juri very much jealous.
With the classes finished, Boruto had seen Asura's battle with Deathscythe and Shuten. It showed him how far the siblings had gone.
Asura was strong but Shuten was a monster.
For the first time, Boruto fought her for real and she did one attack to break through everything he had. He was given a chance to block or the speed was too much for him.
Getting trashed and focusing on improving his powers with his bros, Boruto tried to awaken his eye but failed and was waiting to talk with the adults.
While waiting, Boruto watched videos on Konoha Tube. It was the site where people watched videos made by companies or people. The content creators got money and fame.
Boruto watched comedy shows on the site mostly and sometimes music. He was a fan of rap, party songs and pop music. Right now he was watching the Onion News, a satire channel.
Scientists Successfully Teach Gorilla It Will Die Someday
Scientists at Tulane University's Primate Research Center announced they have taught a gorilla that some day it will die. Nate Meredith has more in a lab report.
Thanks, Dan. In a historic first, a team of primatologists has succeeded in teaching Quigley, a Western gorilla, of its inevitable doom. Linda Burroughs and Phillip Townsend are the researchers leading the project.
Phillip: When we first started with Quigley, he was just a normal happy ape, without any worry in the world.
Linda: The first thing we did was to teach him patterns like red block, blue block, green block over and over. Then it became a pattern of "gorilla born, gorilla grow, gorilla die" – over and over.
The researchers then showed Quigley photographs of dead and dying gorillas while communicating the phrases: "You some day" and "No choice".
Phillip: It took thousands of repetitions, but Quigley finally became aware of correlation between himself and the decomposing pile of hair and flesh in the photo.
Quigley shares his feelings in a confessional fashion after completing each exercise. Quigley also began painting pictures like these almost every day to make sure that he retains his awareness of death several hours per day reinforcing the certainty of death's arrival.
Linda: Quigley, you die. You will die soon. The researchers say at first Quigley could communicate only rudimentary fears about his own death, but he soon moved on to expressing more complex emotions, like indifference and self-hatred.
And just two days ago, Phillip Townsend and his colleagues even witnessed what they believe to have been a panic attack in Quigley.
Phillip: He was letting out these anguish cries and banging his head against the wall. I just thought: "We did it!"
The Tulane scientists believe we may be able to teach a gorilla to get alcoholism or even try to kill itself in as little as a decade. The scientists test results can be replicated with other species. They are in the initial stage of teaching bunny rabbits that they will all die, thrilling times.
Watching this one Boruto's activities on the net as he enjoyed comedy and this satire was reported like real news with excellent actors.
He also enjoyed following Davie504, a bass player. It was something preferred by some of his siblings as well especially Shun.
Asura only watched comedy or movies when family was involved, otherwise he never watched it.
"Hey kiddo, what brought you here?" Hanabi hugged him from behind as she entered the waiting room. She was wearing a black skin-tight suit that had a hood and a mask along with metallic guards for the upper body and shins with Cosmo designs.
Every part of the armor was made from high quality material that even Hanabi couldn't destroy it. It was a gift from Naruto and such quality armors were available to the top rankers in the world, and people of great importance.
Her long silky black hair was tied in a pony-tail with silver hair sparkles while Boruto was dressed in black pants with a white shirt and flashy purple jacket with designs on the back that shone in the dark. He was wearing a black crystal mask that showed his emotions.
It was one of his new creations as he was trying to make up for his lack of reading abilities.
Hearing the cheerful tone and feeling her arms around him, Boruto wasn't annoyed. He liked Hanabi a lot and she was like a friend to him.
She had beaten him a lot while sparring but it was fun nonetheless.
"My eye has awakened and it has the power to make a change." Boruto replied with a proud tone with his chest puffed up as he closed the phone.
Hanabi smiled at his words and pulled down her mask before she jumped over him. With smooth movements, she took of his mask and her byakugan looked into him on the atomic level.
"Big words for a little boy…Come on show it to me." Hanabi asked as she looked into him but couldn't get a read on it.
"Um, I can't activate it." Boruto felt embarrassed about it and looked down.
Hanabi blinked before laughing as she patted his back, "What great luck, next time you are gonna find some treasure but it's locked behind an unbreakable barrier."
"What? Is that an actual reading or are just messing with me?"
"I am so serious." Hanabi said in a dramatic tone before she attacked, her two fingers pierced through his skull.
Boruto struggled to breathe as he snapped out of it and saw Hanabi's fingers still far away. She had attacked him with her intentions and showed him what she desired.
"You could have just asked, you know." Boruto punched Hanabi on the arm as this experience was never fun, he had been put through it more than three times now for the same purpose.
"I like hands on experience and this eye is a piece of work, no reaction at all. It knows that there was no danger or it only activates in response to certain things." Hanabi made a serious conclusion while her hands played piano on his body and put him in a laughing fit.
"Stop…stop" Boruto begged as he felt to the floor and couldn't stop laughing because of her touch.
"We aren't don…we are done." Hanabi was about to continue but realized that Hinata was standing at the door and stopped instantly as she let go of Boruto.
Boruto didn't realize and counterattacked Hanabi.
"Ahem"
Hearing that Boruto stopped and looked back to see his mother.
"Sorry!" Boruto and Hanabi said simultaneously.
Hinata was amused at their antics, the meeting had just finished she got out to bring them in personally for the next task.
She was wearing a black turtle neck with a black coat and black pants along with high heels. Her hair was open and smooth, not following the laws of physics as it moved perfectly.
She had golden earrings in the design of the crescent moon with pink diamonds. She wore a white gold necklace with a small emerald and she had two beautifully designed bracelets on both arms that like all her accessories boosted her abilities since no one in the family used normal items.
"Follow me and do not misbehave inside." Hinata gave them a smile but it gave them a chill. She was always nice but they knew not to go against her words when she wasn't using her usual tone.
She could get very scary when challenged.
The duo nodded and Boruto sent a mental message, 'I will get you for this defeat.'
Just like always, they loved to play around. Hanabi was best friends most of the kids and played around with them like she was one of them.
Entering the room, Boruto saw Sasuke, Ino, Toneri, Kaguya, Sakura, Shikamaru and Naruto.
The duo greeted them respectfully before sitting down as instructed. Naruto had taken all the steps he could with his current resources and now they needed to explore the new eyes that seem to show some potential.
Boruto's eye had great power to ignore stealth abilities, which was much better than the boost it provided.
This could be a great step forwards for them and the solution to Ishiki's presence. They could utilize Boruto directly but it was better if they could replicate the ability.
"Boruto, we will check your eyes thoroughly today so relax and cooperate." Naruto said as he stood in front of Boruto.
Boruto nodded as he gulped, since there was a lot of pressure from all the adults around him.
With that Kaguya went closer to him along with Toneri with their powers activated.
"Boruto, have your chakra flow to your head." Kaguya said gently as he white eyes stared at him while her rinne-sharingan spun on her forehead.
Boruto nodded, it was awesome that he got a powerful bloodline but this situation was not awesome.
With his chakra flowing around his head, the duo looked for any clue. It was the first time an activated bloodline didn't appear on command. It should have been natural for the owner.
Kaguya and Toneri conversed as the studied him before Kaguya filled her hand with chakra. The chakra hand covered Boruto's vision and it felt like he was about to disappear from existence.
His eyes shone with malice and Kaguya found resistance, the distance between them seem to grow.
Boruto felt his eyes sting and his body was burning, and soon his eyes started bleeding from the strain.
Kaguya stopped but she had managed to push out the hidden talent to the surface and it once again disappeared.
"It's an Anti-Otsutsuki bloodline." Kaguya declared as she looked at them and everyone understood what just happened.
"Were you thinking about them on your honeymoon for real?" Ino smiled naughtily as she pinched Naruto's side.
Naruto caught her hand and gave her the look, as it was not the time to play around.
"Sakura" Naruto asked as she was also running analysis on the side while the duo was working.
"The chakra inside Boruto went through a change when Kaguya's chakra appeared and from the reaction the eyes were giving, it is an accurate name for it. There was a sharp increase in the quality of the chakra when it activated but from the initial picture, the eyes have yet to fully awaken. Boruto isn't strong enough to support them." Sakura had rune circles around her eyes and in front of her that were connected to Boruto without his knowledge.
Her tone was calm and professional.
Naruto nodded, this was something they really wanted but none would have expected it to appear so suddenly and in Boruto.
Boruto being unable to operate was understandable since he lacked understanding of space and time that these eyes were utilizing.
With some practice it shouldn't be difficult for him to operate them to an extent.
"Boruto, did you feel any different this time." Hinata asked as she covered his eyes and her sweet tone relaxed him, healing his body and soul.
Boruto collected his thoughts, he had a perfect memory which was one of the basic skills for anyone to master before graduating, and went through them.
"The power increase was stronger this time and last time I didn't feel the space barrier appear….Also there was a feeling like my soul was trying to separate from my body." Boruto looked down and tried to explain as he scratched his head, before looking at them for a better conclusion.
All of them saw the space barrier and the increase in power but none felt his soul react, meaning there was only a small movement or Boruto's was just feeling it and it wasn't real.
"Sakura, do you think we can replicate his bloodline?" Naruto asked and Boruto definitely feel good about it. Nobody wanted his abilities just shared with others, making them replaceable.
But that was just an initial feeling before he remembered that nobody could wait for him to grow up and help them, they needed help now.
"From my current readings, the success rate is zero. We can only wait for him to fully awaken before getting a better reading and see how it changes his body." Sakura replied as she closed her analysis skill. It was unfortunate but Boruto's bloodline was one of the mystical types that seemed to be part of the soul.
"Lord Seventh, Boruto training will have to be adjusted to the current requirements." Shikamaru had his hands behind his back and looked at Naruto with a formal look.
His words were clear for everyone and he was asking whether they were really going to use him.
"Boruto, what do you think?" Naruto turned to his son and asked for his opinion. They were already training in a cruel manner but this would increase the risk to a new level.
Boruto didn't understand at first but now it came to him directly so he would be a fool if he didn't get it.
"I will do it." Boruto had always wanted to be something. He wanted to be useful. He wanted to stand at the top and now he had gotten the opportunity for it.
His words were straightforward and his tone, determined.
"Let us train him, we are the purest." Kaguya asked Naruto with her formal way of speaking, using the royal we.
Naruto looked at her and he couldn't deny it as the reaction seemed to be low to a mixed blood, cancelling most of them. Even he was unable to participate since his chakra didn't have definite shape at the moment from his unstable genetic structure.
"Okay, Sakura have one of your clones on watch." Naruto nodded and commanded Sakura for support to continue reporting on Boruto's progress.
Boruto actually felt better about it as he could surprise Naruto with his new abilities now. He would have preferred Hinata or Sasuke but Kaguya wasn't bad either.
"Boruto, you can leave now." Hinata told him as he was just sitting there. His part was finished.
Boruto nodded and got up as he walked out of the door while wishing he could stay to listen to what they were planning.
Hanabi gave her reports and got sent to help out Sai with her team. The command was also given by the other Kages for their teams.
