chapter 48: Shie Hassaikai!
back to the day of the underground meeting between the League of Villains and Shie Hassaikai, Overhaul had just finished explaining his goals to Shigaraki and then one of his goons put on the table a shogi set.
"care for a game of Shogi?"
"... not really."
"oh come on it will be fun."
"I said no, take it away."
"just give it a try you little punk."
"don't talk to the young master that way sock puppet!"
"SOCK PUPPET?! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE OLD MAN!" just then Mimic jumped forward and out of his costume a large arm sprouted out, and grabbed onto the police chief's neck while the chief himself pointed one of his guns at Mimic's head. Chronostasis panicked and pulled out his gun put then the other police officer pulled out his duel guns faster but to his surprise he pointed both guns at his head. Chronostasis then felt the end of a gun pointed right at his head.
"stand down you fools your not the only ones at gun point." both Mimic and Chronostasis looked at Overhaul at both the police and sure enough the chief had one gun pointed at Overhaul while it also looked like there was an invisible gun pressed at Overhauls neck, which was clearly aggravating him.
"hehehe, yeah I'm a voodoo doll, bitch! the moment I pull the trigger I get shot but I'll be perfectly fine if anything you and your boss will get your brains bursting like confetti!"
"this old man would prefer not to die just yet but I'm more afraid of letting the future the young master promised be destroyed by a few Yakuza thugs." Mimic and Chronostasis now had no choice and backed off then the police did the same.
"... ok, ok, I suppose I owe you an apology for my guards being so reckless."
"if your really sorry then let me tell you how to make up for it, I was close to getting found by the local heroes, so I was hoping to count on your support."
"hm, you want me to send my subordinates to assist you in protecting your work, fine I already have some subordinates in mind, I think that you'll enjoy what they have to offer, especially Togata and Twice."
"oh? so you already have a squad planed for me, that should sound considerate but it kinda sounds suspicious to me. so in that case give me Kirogiri as well."
"no Kirogiri is on an important mission. stick to the one's I'm giving you, and be thankful I'm giving you any of my Villains at all."
"hm, fine but I expect them to be willing to follow any and all of my orders."
"of course that's only fair but just so we're clear if you kill any of them, I'll tear you apart... for ridiculous reasons that is, but if they just so happen to kill one another or if any of them try to kill you then by all means."
"sheesh, way to show compassion for your subordinates. but I guess a spoiled brat wouldn't know better."
"my villains don't need compassion, we strive for the freedom to attain any future we desire but of course such a dream is impossible without sacrifice. they all know how dangerous it is and frankly most of them don't even care so long as they can proudly call themselves villains under my rule."
"... right then, so just like you how you rudely told Chronostasis, make sure your dogs behave or else I have to make you cry by putting them down."
"your intimidation could really use some work, fine then I'll have then over by tomorrow and you all can get settled in." Shigaraki then got up and left the room.
"wait, what do you think your doing with that?" Shigaraki then turned around and glared in annoyance toward Overhaul.
"that bullet doesn't belong to you." Shigaraki then reached into his jacket again and showed the nullifier bullet.
"what? this? what's the issue? its empty."
"how can I be sure about that?"
"... ugh, fine I'll prove it." Shigaraki then pricked the pullet into his wrist.
"young master!"
"Shigaraki, what the hell?!"
"calm down, just watch." Shigaraki then walked over to the table and put his hand on the shogi board. at first nothing happened but then it started crumbling to dust in an instant.
"see? completely empty and therefore useless, can I go now?" Overhaul just looked at him in disappointment and then looked at the destroyed shogi board.
"hm? oh yeah, get over it will you? I already told you I don't play shogi." Shigaraki then finally left the room with the empty nullifier bullet.
"Overhaul I know their quite powerful but still their just a bunch of physcos and children, should we really let them off so easily?" Overhaul then looked at Mimic with the same glare he gave Shigaraki when he was frustrated.
"ah! sorry..."
"its alright, this is something I need to get used to, that's what pops always tried to tell me after all, we aren't in power just yet, but we are so close now. all that we need now is time, and then all the villains will be on our side then so will the heroes. the League of Villains, all of hero society, and maybe one day even All for One, they'll all bow down to Shie Hassaikai."
now back in the police car, while being escorted to one of the League's temporary bases Shigaraki was looking at the nullifier bullet.
"is something bothering you young master?"
"hm... I guess you could say I'm jealous, Shie Hassaikai has this amazing weapon that can temporarily destroy quirks. if the league had that power it would be invincible."
"hm that's true, quite a shame that the only bullet we have doesn't even work." just then the chief's radio turned on and the chief answered it but after listening to what was said he had a look of frustration on his face and then hung up.
"some thing wrong chief?"
"just a personal matter young master, you see has the old master told you anything about the hero Sir Nighteye?"
"um... he might have? I don't remember."
"hm, well Sir Nighteye is an infamous hero hated greatly by the underworld when the old master decided to retire he left his strongest and most loyal subordinates to rule the world how they pleased. but then All Might and his predecessor hunted them all down and tore the underworld apart piece by piece well they managed to get the job done so quickly because of that asshole."
"oh I see but why bring that up now chief?"
"my station was apart of the clean up after you first encounter with Overhaul, my condolences for your loss by the way, and now Sir Nighteye is asking for all reports concerning the incident. apparently he's getting suspicious of what Shie Hassaikai's activity and wants to confirm what they are up to."
"is that so? well its too bad they didn't leave anything to..."
"... Young master?"
"Chief, do you think you can give him this bullet and act as if you found it at the place?"
"... I'm gonna have to pull a lot of strings to make that happen without arousing suspicion but sure, I'll get it done."
"good. Overhaul I'm gonna make you cry and beg for mercy when this is all over."
now back to the day of the raid on Shie Hassaikai the police strike force had their formation right in front of the main base with the detective right at the door. all the heroes were in a formation right behind them with the work-study students with them in the formation. the detective the rang the door bell, and held out a legal warrant in his other hand.
"Shie Hassaikai! we have a warrant to check your property! if you refuse then you're peace agreement will be revoked and you will all be charged as criminals! open up and let us investigate at once!" at first their was absolutely no response but just before the order to smash the front doors was given a large brute ended up smashing through from the inside.
"what the hell? we're just peaceful little Yakuza men trying to get by like everyone else. why are the police being bullies and attacking us? oh well guess I gotta smash you all!" the brute then raised his fists but then Ryukyu turned into her dragon form and held him off.
"they knew we were coming! they wouldn't have sent such a brute out if they didn't! we can't give them the chance to escape! begin the raid now!" as Ryukyu said, the strike force rushed in and just as they did an army of Yakuza thugs rushed out of the base to fight them off.
"the police and Ryukyu's agency will hold them off! as for the rest of the hero unit! go!" just then all the heroes rushed forward into the Shie Hassaikai base with the Work study students following up. it was almost like rushing into a war zone there were police and Yakuza thugs fighting with both their weapons as well as their quirks. thought the police were better equipped for the fight Shie Hassaikai proved to have overwhelming numbers so some of the heroes had to stop and assist in taking them down. thought it only took a minute it felt like a near half hour before they finally managed to get to the mansion of Shie Hassaikai.
"good, we finally made it, thought half of the heroes we came will are out their fighting Shie Hassaikai's main force we should be able to handle ourselves just fine with what we have now."
"alright then, its a total war zone out there so no going back now, hope you kids are up for this because those guys out there were just the grunts when we get to the true base its gonna be filled with the top guys."
"that being said stay close to us pros alright? especially you first years."
"of course!"
"yes sir!"
"You can rely on us."
"yeah! ... wait Asui?! why are you here?!"
"uh, because we were all supposed to charge in here?"
"well yeah but shouldn't you be with Hado and Uraraka fighting that brute and the others with Ryukyu."
"its alright the more the merrier, and from what I can see the best possible futures have Asui present. speaking of futures I see that we eventually find the entrance, here!" Sir Nighteye then grabbed a flow vase from a inward display and reviled a hidden pass code pad and entered a code.
"great now- wait? oh no! incoming!" just then the entrance opened but three more thugs jumped out ready to fight but bubble girl quickly took down one while the other two was quickly apprehended by Centipeder.
"quick! they got inside stop those damn heroes!" just then the few Yakuza thugs that managed to slip past the police were now heading inside the mansion toward the rescue group.
"Bubble girl and I will hold them back all of you continue the mission now!" Sir Nighteye then lead them down the underground labyrinth, everyone was on guard expecting more Shie Hassaikai members and traps around any corner but instead they just traveled through the labyrinth for about five minutes with absolutely nothing happening.
"uh... shouldn't there be the elite eight bullets? or at least another army?"
"hm strange, I can't foresee anything within the labyrinth coming out to attack us, but its strange because everything is... twisted?"
"twisted?"
"yes its strange almost like-" just then the walls and floor then started warping as if all of reality itself was losing control.
"what the hell?!"
"what's going on?!"
"damn it! so that's why everything looked so twisted! it was an attack!"
"but by who?! I don't remember reading about anyone able to warp a building like this!"
"hahaha! you dumb heroes! always playing by the rules while we got all the toys and candy we need to take you assholes down!" just then the floor opened up, causing everyone to fall into a dark pit.
"ugh... what happened?"
"hey! half of the police force is gone!"
"Fat Gum and his work study students are gone too!"
"don't worry about them, they have professionals looking after them! oh oops your group looks to be a little too big to be fair, lets change that shall we?!" just then large walls formed and separated the group even more, Izumi was now alone with Togata and Asui.
"damn it, we lost Sir Nighteye! Deku, I'm going to go on ahead! use your quirk to smash through the walls to follow me!" Izumi nodded but before Togata could jump through a wall they all started hearing yelling and screaming beyond the other walls.
"w- whats going on?"
"oh no, the separated us and are now picking us off with well organized and small groups. its just like what the league of villains did to us during our search and rescue training."
"we have to help them!"
"we can't we have to keep going with the mission! that's what Sir Nighteye would have ordered and that's the best thing to do right now! think about it Shie Hassaikai knew we were coming that means Overhaul is leaving as we speak and taking Eri with her!" Izumi still looked to the other walls while hearing all the yelling and the sounds of struggling and fighting but then Asui put her hand on Izumi's shoulder to which Izumi slapped her own cheeks and stood tall in determination.
"sorry Lemillion! I'm ready lets save Eri!"
"alright then! I'm gonna start jumping through walls, I'll jump back if the way is safe and you can use your quirk to smash it down so you and Froppy can pass."
"uh sure but won't your costume fall off if you use your quirk?"
"don't worry this costume is woven with my hair it phases when I do and stays on me no matter what." just then Togata jumped through the wall but just as quickly jumped back.
"break the wall down now! Lock down needs help!" Izumi activated spark at 5% while Mirio got out of the way and she then lunged forward in high speed and used a strike to smash the wall down. and saw two Lock downs one that was on the ground and bleeding but the other was standing next to him looking completely fine.
"I told you I'm fine kid, this doubleganger just got the jump on me but I took him out, the bastard was crazy so I had to hurt him." Asui was about to check up on the villain but then Izumi stopped her and pointed at Lock down who had a knife behind his back. Asui then looked at Izumi confused while Izumi just put a finger to her lips while walking closely to Lock down.
"so you had no choice to take him down."
"y- yeah these Yakuza bastards are more devoted that I thought but its ok because a pro like me can handle crap like this, stand by my side and you'll be safe Midoriya." Izumi then smiled brightly with shockingly made Lock down blush and smile back at her, she then frowned instantly and then activated spark again and kicked a small but hard piece of rubble and it impacted Lock down's face.
"wha-! Izumi what are you doing!"
"relax Lemillion, its not Lock down, its a doubleganger."
"crap you caught on too fast..." the fake Lock down got up quickly and despite having a bleeding and smashed in face he was smiling but then his skin turned into grey goo and started melting.
"but that's what I love about you Izumi!" Izumi instantly recognized the grey goo but didn't recognize the naked girl.
"wha?! that's Himiko Toga! she's a member of the league of villains!" Izumi turned to Asui in shock but then Asui lunged forward and kicked Toga in the face who was only seconds from attacking Izumi.
"this speed... you're Camie!"
"yup that's me! well actually Camie is a person I stole the identity of, don't worry she's alive and well, couldn't kill the slut because it would arouse suspicion or whatever. anyways now you know it's me Deku! your number one fan! but its so embarrassing that I'm the only one naked! so let me rip off your clothes! and maybe take some blood too!" Izumi then let her annoyance and frustration take over so that she could go dark mode and then used activated a strike but rather than using it for attack she used it for extra boost to zoom forward and then activated spark at 10% into her fist so that once she reached Toga within the second she punched her with the combined force from the acceleration of the strike boost and the spark punch.
Toga didn't go flying but was pushed back by a lot and spat some blood due to the massive amount of force, she then couldn't help but crouch in pain while holding her stomach in pain. she then glared at Izumi who smiled but then she felt a pain in her arm and saw that there was a large cut. she then looked back at Toga who was now smiling and had a large amount of blood on her knife, however before she could drink any of it Asui used her tongue to get the knife. while Mirio rushed forward to catch her. despite having a bruised stomach she tried to fight him off but thanks to his quirk he didn't even need to dodge the attacks and managed to pin her down.
"ugh, you pervert! holding down a defenseless and naked school girl!"
"you honestly think I'm stupid enough to get embarrassed over this? but villains are known to use cheep tactics to get what they want."
"grrr! someone help me out!" just two holes appeared in the celling and a villain in a tank top and sweat pants fell down as well as a Shie Hassaikai thug holding a katana. the katana wielder then slashed near Mirio which caused a shock wave forcing him off of Toga.
"crap so the League of Villains really are working with the Shie Hassaikai!"
"working together more like leaching off of us, you low life criminals were supposed to be body guards but the heroes managed to get this close to ruining everything! this is why you should have just joined the Shie Hassaikai! if you did then-"
"hey. that mimic freak isn't watching us right?"
"wha- of course he's not! are you even listening to-?" just then the villain grew metal like feathers from his arms and they shot out into the Yakuza villain killing him instantly. some of the blood splat on Toga's to which she started licking it up joyfully as if it was just soda spilled on her face.
"god I fucking hate these pricks can't you heroes get rid of them faster or something?" Asui and Izumi stood back in horror at the sight of a villain just killing an ally so suddenly and acting like its nothing more than an annoyance. Togata on the other hand stood in front of them and even shielded them from the villains.
"these guys have no morals and are clearly dangerous. I know you guys are capable but for now let me handle the more dangerous foes." Asui quickly nodded and Izumi followed her.
"hey Toga you think I killed the cocky fuck too quickly?"
"hm, what do you mean? he's not dead." Toga then started melting into grey goo and from her melting body the Shie Hassaikai thug rose from the goo, which all his clothes and then picked up the Katana.
"he's right here." the two of them then laughed and then faced Togata ready to strike, Togata then decided to charge first to which the tank top villain made more metal feathers to shot at him. Izumi and Asui ran out of the way so Togata didn't have to worry about them while using his quirk to avoid the projectiles. as he got closer Toga used her Katana to try and attacked Togata but instead he just phased past her and quickly elbowed her back hard trying to stun her, however it had no effect and thanks to her reflexes she quickly swung the sword back at him, unfortunately he didn't activate his quick fast enough and got cut in the elbow.
still Togata fought through the pain and charged toward the metal feather villain who stopped shooting feather projectiles and instead made the feathers grow all around his arms, chest, and head as a kind of armor. Miro then started punching at his armor, surprisingly despite not having a strength based quirk was actually damaging the metal feather armor. the villain tried to hit back but Miro managed to accurately make only the parts of his body that the villain was targeting phase at just the right time while also continuing to keep his fists solid at the right moment and keep punching.
all while Toga was walking up to Togata from behind trying to calculate the right moment to stab him so he doesn't phase away but then Asui then grabbed the Katana by her tongue and then jumped up and kicked her in the head. unfortunately Toga still held onto the katana strongly and even cut Asui's tongue a little. she then quickly licked the blood off the sword, but then Izumi punched her in the back with a strike. Toga then looked back at Izumi with a sinister grin as to scare her but rather than getting scared Izumi just kicked Toga in the groin with another strike. Izumi then activated spark to get away frim Toga for she knew that the villain didn't feel pain in her fake forms. but Toga proved to be quicker and with managed to get another cut off of Izumi's arm thought thankfully a small one.
the both of them now had to back off while Toga joyfully drank the blood off of the Katana. Izumi wasn't concerned for her own cuts since they were healing but she then looked at Asui who was covering her mouth because of the cuts on her tongue. I can heal her... right? I mean I healed Bakugo by kissing his cheek... does that mean I need to kiss her? ugh, I really should have trained my healing powers more. Izumi then tried to pat Asui's head and while repeating in her mind Please heal Froppy, Please heal Froppy! over and over but then Asui just looked at her confused.
"oh uh, I was, you seemed in pain so I was... comforting you?" Asui continued to look at Izumi confused but then she looked suddenly looked surprised and then opened her mouth to see that her tongue was healed instantly.
"yes it worked!"
"how is this... Izumi did you heal me?!" all the colors then drained from Izumi while she was frozen in fear crap! I practically told Asui my secret! if anyone is going to put the pieces together it would be her! but then they were interrupted when Toga came in-between them and started swinging her Katana at them causing them both to jump away.
"hey, what gives! why are you focused on froggy when you should be focused on me! I may have take the form of a Yakuza loser but I'm still cute little Himiko! you should be focused on me and me alone!"
"ugh, I really got to stop getting distracted so easily. ahem, Froppy! if you didn't already know this villain can take the form of others and she can't feel pain or take damage to her actual body when using a fake form. however the more damage she gets the less time she has to maintain her fake form. and from what I've seen earlier she needs her fake forms to stay invulnerable so when you hit her don't hold back!"
"oh! please don't hit me so hard! I might end up liking it!" Asui then turned invisible but Toga didn't care since she had excellent hearing as well, she could even hear Izumi using Spark to try and attack her form behind. Toga then swung the Katana at Izumi hoping to cut her again but Izumi smiled as she dogged perfectly for she knew Toga was going to do that. then Asui used her tongue to catch Toga's leg and quickly pull it throwing her off balance, this wasn't much of a problem for Toga but Izumi then quickly used spark to kick the Katana out of her grasp and then quickly kick her in the face pushing her back to Asui.
Asui then let go of her leg and re-wrapped her tongue around her neck and further pulled her closer while keeping her from regaining her balance. Asui then elbowed her face and quickly kneed her in the stomach. to add further damage Asui then hopped on Toga's stomach and then jumped off of her. as Toga was pushed back she tried to regain her balance but then Izumi rushed forward and used a strike to hit her in the back. Toga tried to swing back for a punch but her spine was practically broken causing her to just wobble around sloppily, to which Izumi quickly used a strike to kick her in the ankle, causing Toga to fall down.
"come on Froppy! we have to keep hitting her until she is forced back into her real body!" Asui then jumped forward and started kicking Toga with Izumi, during this however the metal feather villain who was trying but also failing to defend himself against Mirio saw how Toga was taken down and quickly got down and kicked Mirio in the ankle. this caused Mirio to start falling to which the Villain smiled and reinforced his arm with more metal feathers and was about to punch down on Miro but then he phased into the ground causing him to hit nothing. Mirio then appeared behind the villain and then hit him hard on the back of the head knocking him out instantly.
"hmph! power! hang on you two, let me help you restrain that-" just then Rappa of eight bullets then broke through the wall and flew through the room and busted into the other wall. the three of them then looked into the room where Rappa came from and there was another Shie Hassaikai member knocked out with Fat Gum who was no longer fat but instead quick normal sized and covered in burses but had his fist out for he was the one who punched Rappa through the wall. Izumi looked at him in awe at first but then noticed Kirishima who was on the ground knocked out and hurt.
"ah! Kirishima-" just then Toga could no longer maintain her current fake form but since she had a small amount of Asui's blood and quickly melted into her and kicked Izumi in the stomach and jumped up and got away from them, she then grabbed the Katana back.
"ugh! I... I'm not done! I can... grrr, still fight!" just then Rappa started getting back up and was heading right for Fat Gum but then a metal projectile hit him in the back of the head and he was instantly knocked out.
"no! my back up clone! that the real one you idiot! huh? oh yeah it is." in the other room everyone could see that there was Sir Nighteye with some of the police officers and Twice who was now in cuffs. Izumi and Mirio smiled instantly at the sight of Sir Nighteye and the rest of the police being safe and clear of any injuries.
"Mirio! more villains and Shie Hassaikai forces are about to show up, allow the rest of us to hold them back use while you go ahead and save Eri!"
"Yes sir!" Mirio then phased through the wall while Sir Nighteye walked over to stand by Asui and Izumi and faced Toga, while she glared at him and pointed her Katana at him.
"ugh, ew! who invited the old guy with the dead eyes?"
"... get ready, their reinforcements are coming." just then the whole room started shaking and warping around again, meaning that Mimic was near by.
"YOU DAMN HEROES! HOW DARE YOU BARGE INTO OUR HOME AND MAKE A MESS OF OUR HARD WORK! FINE THEN! NO MORE DIVIDE AND CONQURE! ALL OF YOU! DESTROY THE HEROES! KILL THEM ALL! RIP THEM APART!" Just then all the walls separating everyone moved away one by one until everyone could see one another. Aizawa and the police he was with managed to apprehend a three Shie Hassaikai grunts and two Villains, but the another room had Amajiki who was badly injured but had managed to knock out Setsuno, Hojo, and Tabe, and the last three rooms has injured and bleeding cops on the ground with minor villains and Shie Hassaikai grunts.
" WHAT?! THAT'S ALL THAT'S LEFT?! WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU VILLAINS BEEN DOING?! "
"seriously is that supposed to mean something coming from you?"
"yeah aren't you supposed to be the ultimate support?! I thought you were useless the moment I met you but now your only just proving my point!"
"besides there's more of you guys down than us! but that's because there was only like five of us anyways."
"tch, aren't you Shie Hassaikai supposed to be a grand and feared Yakuza clan? you guys really do suck!"
" SHUT THE FUCK UP! WHO'S SIDE ARE YOU SAVAGES ON?! "
"not the heroes obviously! we just think its disappointing that your on that quirk enhancing drug yet your not even doing shit!" just then the room started shaking violently while Mimic started yelling in uncontrollable rage.
"this is bad, to everyone that can fight! assist Eraser head at once! he's the only one that can help us take Mimic down!"
"YOU DAMN HEROES! I'LL KILL YOU ALL!" just then arms and mouths started growing out of the ground and started attacking the heroes an arm grabbed at Izumi but she used a strike to destroy it. then a large mouth grew from the ground and tried to swallow her but then Asui used her tongue to get her out of the way and she then landed in Sir Nighteye's arms.
"Midoriya you need to go after Mirio, I can now see a better future coming true if you are by his side now hurry!" Sir Nighteye then let her down and thought she hesitated at first she then went over to where the wall Togata phased through and used another strike to break it apart. Mimic then screamed in anger as more arms were formed and tried to grab Izumi but Sir Nighteye threw another of his weighted projectiles at the arms causing one of them to shatter instantly. the last two formed together into a bigger arm and was about to grab Izumi but she then quickly swung around and hit the arm with another strike and shattered it instantly.
Sir Nighteye couldn't help but keep watching Izumi as she continued running after Mirio, Izumi Midoriya, you are a reckless child that values others far more than you value yourself. This trait of yours is admirable but also idiotic, which is why I can't see you as a worthy successor of One for All. but to refute me, you told me that you would never do anything to prove that All Might made a mistake when choosing you... I hope that today you'll prove yourself right. he then tried to focus back on the future where he saw that Mirio and Izumi manage to save Eri but then he saw another future for something else happens. he then couldn't help but tremble in fear because of it, please don't let it be true! just then Toga who was now still disguised as Asui swung her sword at Sir Nighteye but he dodge accordingly and threw another metal piston at her stomach, then the real Asui wrapped her tongue around Toga's stomach and slammed her on the ground and quickly threw her far away. Sir Nighteye then looked back to the hole in the wall and saw that Izumi was now out of sight, he then clenched his fist's in frustration and fear. please don't let that future happen!
ok I ended up being a lot busier than I had originally planed but I'm almost done with the the next chapter which is the last part of the Shie Hassaikai arch and I will post it tomorrow. so sorry you all have to wait another day since you already waited a month, ugh I really suck at this.
