Chapter 48.
(Harry POV)
We were back at the HAB where Martha was about to start on Owen. Then Jack comes flying through.
"Stop, Nobody touches him till I get back is that clear," Jack said. Then Took off.
"What was that all about?" Gwen said.
"No idea," I said.
Then not to long Jack came back with a box.
"What's in that?" I said.
As Jack opened it and pulled out another Resurrection Glove.
"No, Not after what happened with Susie," I said.
"I'm using the glove, I'm bringing Owen back," Jack said.
Then we were in the med bay.
"Are you really going to se that after what happened last time," Gwen said.
"Jack, those gloves are dangerous best it'll give us 2 minutes," I said.
"It's not up for discussion," Jack said.
"The glove didn't work for you," Gwen said.
"Different Glove, Different circumstances. this time it has to work. I won't give it a choice," Jack said. "Ok if you've got anything you need to say to Owen, Now's your chance,"
"I'm not getting any vital signs," Ianto said.
"Oh he's coming, He's coming," Jack said.
As Owen cries out.
"Oh my god," Martha said.
"What happened? Where am I oh God, I'm shot He shot me," Owen said.
"Owen listen to me, we don't have long," Jack said.
"Where am I? This isn't the hospital, This is the autopsy room," Owen said. "What am I doing her Jack oh no, What's that what's that?"
"Another Resurrection Glove," I said.
"We lost you, but I brought you back," Jack said.
"How long have I got?" Owen said.
"We're at 30 seconds and counting," Ianto said.
"Oh no Jesus, Really," Owen said.
"Ok, team say yours goodbyes, Gwen," Jack said.
"No offence But I've only got 2 minutes to live," Owen said.
"Tosh," Jack said.
"Owen we need the code for the alien morgue and you're the only one who knows it," I said.
"You brought me back for that," Owen said. "For that?"
"I'm sorry," Jack said.
"Jack, It's 231165, Ok?" Owen said. "There's nothing, Just darkness,"
Then He was gone.
As I went back over to Martha pulling her against me.
"I'm really gonna need that hand back," Owen said Wait Owen.
"Not Again," I said.
"Owen," Jack said.
"2 minutes 20," Ianto said.
"Look, I'm not using the glove," Jack said.
"But I'm still here,"
"Here we go again," I said.
"Maybe I cheated it somehow, Maybe I wasn't meant to die so I'm being kept alive," Owen said.
"Somebody pass me my pants please whoa," Owen said.
"It's ok, I hate to say it but you'll get used to it," Jack said.
"No heartbeat, there's no pulse," Owen said.
"Owen you can't lead the investigation," Martha said.
"Why not?" Owen said.
"Because you're the subject of it and because your dead," Martha said.
"Are you sure about that?" Owen said.
"Yes, I'm sure," Martha said.
"Well I'm ok, Look there's electrical activity in my brain," Owen said.
"That shouldn't be possible," Martha said.
"Well, I'm still here and I feel amazing," Owen said.
"So where is the power coming from?" I said.
"Suzie survived because she was draining the energy from me, Owen could be doing the same to Jack," Gwen said.
"I feel fine," Jack said.
"Tosh Scan him," I said.
"The Philemon filter detects biochemical energy. It's how we knew Suzie was draining Gwen," Tosh said.
"And?" Martha said.
"Nothing," Tosh said. "There's no connection between them It's not Jack,"
"Told you I feel fine," Jack said.
"So what's keeping me ticking? The energy in my brain must go somewhere," Owen said.
"This glove is different to the other one, Maybe different gloves do different things," Ianto said.
"How many are thee?" Martha said.
"2 Well, they do tend to come in pairs," I said. "This is the second one we know of,"
"We fished the first one out of the harbour last year," Ianto said.
"Which we had to destroy to stop Gwen getting drained," I said.
"But where does it comes from Originally?" Martha said.
"Good question, No idea, We can't get through that rift to know where it goes to. Tosh Analysis the glove see what you can find out," I said.
"Owen, I don't need to tell you that you're under quarantine," Jack said.
"You don't and yet you still do," Owen said.

"Get me a hand, Harry, Jack," Martha said.
"Wow What happened?" I said.
"He just collapsed," Martha said.
"Owen, Calm down, Owen," I said.
"What happened?" Jack said.
"I was in the darkness there was something, Something there," Owen said.
"What did you see?" Martha said.
"I don't know, It was waiting for me," Owen said.
"Owen's body's undergoing some kind of transformation, his cells aren't decaying They're changing," Martha said.
"Into what?" I said.
"An energy I can't identify," Martha said. "But it's growing all the time, he's about 40% something else,"
"I don't feel any different," Owen said.
"We need to find out where this energy's coming from, Which could be the same place as the glove, Tosh," I said.
"It's atomic makeup isn't anywhere local," Tosh said.
"Owen said he went somewhere when he collapsed, Could the energy and the glove come from the same dark place," Gwen said.
"Are we talking about another dimension? Parallel universe?" Jack said.
"Guys, I'm still here," Owen said.
"Sorry," Jack said.
"Ok you said there was something in the darkness waiting for you," I said.
"I felt it, I didn't see it," Owen said.
"Where do you think you went?" Jack said.
"Don't know," Owen said.

"Harry," Martha said coming in. "Where's Owen?"
"With Tosh last time I saw him, Why?" I said.
"The Energy in him just went off the scale," Martha said.
"Come on," I said. "Owen, Owen,"
"He said he needed the loo," Tosh said as Jack came back.
"Owen's digestive systems' shut down He can't eat or drink so he doesn't need to pee," Martha said.
"He's not answering," Jack said.
"Well he's not in the hub," Gwen said.
"So he's out there?" Martha said.
"It's Owen, It's not like he's dangerous," Jack said.
"Are you sure about that?" Martha said.
"Meaning?" Jack said.
"You had the power to bring people back to life and you never told UNIT why?" Martha said.
"What business is it UNIT's They to busy focusing in the Tower of London then here in Cardiff," I said.
"I'll find him," Jack said heading out.

"Jack just called he's got Owen," Ianto said.
"Good," I said. "What is Owen on?"
"Harry, Look at this," Tosh said.
"What?" I said.
"I went over the footage and found this," Tosh said.
"Melkurian Abatha Duroc minus mill kabal," Something in Owen said.
"Oh My god," Gwen said.
"That should of been translating," I said. "And It's not,"
"What is that?" Martha said.
"What the bet that what the energy is doing," I said. "No. That would, Whatever waiting for Owen, The energy is like a gateway for what ever it is,"
"We need to know what Owen was saying," Tosh said.
"We all do," I said.
"This has never let us down before," Tosh said.
Then We played it through it.
"I shall walk the earth and my hunger will know no bounds," It said.
"I've got a really bad feeling about this," Gwen said.
"Your not only one Gwen," I said.
"You don't know the half of it," Jack said.
Then We were down where we had a weevil and it came over before running back away from Owen.
"Wow, They've never done that," I said.
"So I'm the king of the weevils," Owen said.
"No it isn't and I think it's happened before," Gwen said.
"Where did you get this," I said.
"I found it in an article about Black death and what you are looking at are the first images of the grim reaper," Gwen said. "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger will hold no bounds, In legend, the person who said those words was Death himself,"
"But there's no such thing," Martha said.
"Yeah, I'm dead, I'm not death there is a difference," Owen said.
"Does he know that?" Gwen said.
"Right that wood craving dates back to the 15 century, to a small parish called St James, When they heard about the plague they built a wall around the town, Unfortunately that didn't prevent a little girl from dying, So the legends goes, the priest performs a miracle and bring her back to life, but she doesn't come back alone she brought Death with here, and he walked amongst them," Gwen said.
"Are we seriously gonna act on something she's googled?" Tosh said.
"What was the name of the priests church?" Jack said.
"St Mary's," Gwen said.
"That was where I found the glove," Jack said.
"Which makes the perish of St James, the town that 500 years later would turn into a city called Cardiff," I said.
"What happened to the town when death walked amongst them," Owen said.
"People died," Gwen said."12 people, Death needed 13 souls before it had a permanent hold on the Earth,"
"So how did they stop it at 12?" I said.
"It just says Faith," Gwen said.
"Owen is changing, Who knows what that energy is what if it making him a host a gateway," Martha said.
"I've been thinking there's something in the darkness waiting for me to finally pass over, but I've got it wrong, Ok, it's the other way around, It's trying to get here through me," Owen said.
"What the reading?" I said.
"80%," Martha said.
"What happens when it completes," Owen said. "What do we do with the dead? you embalm them, if we inject a formaldehyde solution into my veins, It will petrify my neural pathways and freeze dry my drain, it's the only way to be sure,"

We were in the Med bay as it hits 95%. So we strap Owen down and then Martha was going to grab the thing when the glove stopped her and attacked her.
"Lockdown," Jack said.
As I tried to get it off Martha.
When we managed to get it off.
"Martha, Hey," I said.
"Oh my god," Gwen said. "What's happened to her?"
"It's the glove," I said. "It did this to her,"
"Owen help me with her, Owen," Jack said
But it was finished.
"I will walk the Earth and my hunger will know no bounds," it said coming out of Owen and Attack Jack.
Then it was gone.

We took Martha to a hospital.
"Police officer, I need a medic now," Gwen said.
"So what happened to that thing," Jack said.
"It's gone." I said.
"So it's out there?" Jack said.
"It must be Death because it's stolen my life," Martha said.
"We'll fix this," I said. "Last time back when Cardiff was a town It killed 12 people,"
"So?" Jack said.
"Why did it got to 13?" I said.
"And where does Faith bit come into it?" Gwen said.
"Wrong Question Gwen, It was Faith, That was the girls name," I said.
"Where do we look for it, Where do we even start look for it," Gwen said.
"No where, If you were death where's the first place you would hit," I said.
"Where," Tosh said.
"Here, The hospital," I said.
"Harry's right, Weevils are out there," Jack said.
"We need to evacuate the hospital now," I said as we headed out. "Back before you know it,"
Then Headed.
"This is Harry Tyler, Torchwood, You need to evacuate St Helen's Hospital immediately," I said.
As the fire alarm went.
"This is Torchwood, If you can move as quickly and as safety as possible to your nearest exit thank you," Gwen said.
Then we headed upstairs.
"Ladies and gentlemen this is not a drill, Please make your way to the assembly point in car park 1," Jack said.
"Ianto, I need you to crack into the hospital communication system," I said.
"Already done, they have multiple code 4 in Intensive care," Ianto said.
"Gwen what code 4," I said.
"Heart attack," Gwen said.
"Which floor is that?" Jack said.
"6," Ianto said.
"Gwen do a head count let me know when we get to 12," I said.
"Owen tosh, We're on the 6th floor," Jack said. "There's fatalities 7 of them,"
"I hearing a fatality during a routine operation," Gwen said.
"That makes 8. We got 5 to stop it," I said.
"If it was last seen on the sixth did it go up or down from there?" Owen said.
"Most of the upper floors are evacuated so if it's still hungry I'd guess, Down," I said.
"We'll make our way down," Owen said.
"Jack we still have no idea what to do if we find it," Tosh said.
"Ianto," Jack said.
"We're on the 7th floor," Tosh said. "Owen saying it is here,"
"Wait, Faith, Was that the name of the girl?" I said.
"Maybe," Gwen said.
"That means. Owen, Listen to me right now, you are the only person which can stop it, Find a stop and seal both you and it in. It can't kill you twice," I said.
"Harry, He can't," Tosh said.
"Tosh, Owen is the only which can stop this, And we are already on 12," I said.
"It was Faith," Ianto said. "Harry is right, the Girl who died and was brought back her name was Faith she stopped it,"
"How," I said.
"It doesn't say," Ianto said.
"Owen, Your the only one who can end this," I said. "You are already dead, you don't have anything to lose, Neither did Faith, She was dead too,"
Then We found Owen and Tosh.
"Owen," Tosh said. "No, Harry, Jack, Gwen. Owen has locked himself in with it, He took my device too I can't get in,"
"We're already here," I said.
"Here," Jack said.
"Move," I said using my sonic to open it and we ran through.
"No," Jack said stopping us as it vanished.
Martha. I thought then and ran down to her.
"Jack, Gwen, Anyone," Ianto said.
As I got there and Martha was back to her old self. And I hugged her.
"Told you, you were going to be fine," I said.

Then We were back at the Hab.
Did he really beat Death?" Tosh said.
"You can never really beat death never escape it," Jack said.
"It's always in the shadows waiting," I said.
"So what do we do now?" Tosh said.
"We keep doing what we do," I said.
