48. Chapter 48

Spyro and Marem were running through Ferabound Cave and then through Ferabound Quarry and stopped in front of Ferabound Quarry Entrance.

"Huff...Huff….Huff...Huff…" Spyro and Marem said.

"It's a good thing that I don't have feet!" Sparx said.

"We have to tell Fellum and the rest of the citizens that Sunburn stole the Crystal Gear!" Spyro said.

"Yes, we do!" Marem said.

"But first we must take a rest and sleep here." Marem said.

"But..." Spyro said.

"We are already exhausted from the running. And we did take a lot of damage from Sunburn." Marem said.

"It wouldn't be wise to continue walking without full strength." Marem said.

"Yes, you're right." Spyro said.

So Spyro and Marem and Sparx fell asleep.

Meanwhile, at Cynder's Mountain.

"Why are you here, Haul?!" Cynder asked.

"To inform you about the Purple Dragon, Cynder!" Haul answered.

"What about the Purple Dragon?!" Cynder asked.

"The Purple Dragon is still alive!" Haul said.

"What?!" Cynder asked.

"I thought Sunburn was going to kill him!" Cynder said.

"So why didn't Sunburn kill the Purple Dragon?!" Cynder asked.

"Sunburn always defeats anyone who gets in his way and will kill anyone who refuses to get out of his way!" Cynder said.

"So why did Sunburn let the Purple Dragon live?" Cynder asked.

"Sunburn said that he will let the Purple Dragon live as a reward for a good fight." Haul answered.

"But that is what Sunburn said the last time!" Cynder said.

"You told me that Sunburn let the Purple Dragon live as a reward for a good fight!" Cynder said.

"And you also told me that Sunburn told the Purple Dragon that if they met the second time then he will not be so merciful to the Purple Dragon!" Cynder said.

"I will give Sunburn three more chances!" Cynder said.

"Otherwise I will take drastic action and do it myself!" Cynder said.

"But I will only take drastic action if all three outlaws don't kill the Purple Dragon!" Cynder said.

"Now, follow the Purple Dragon!" Cynder demanded.

"Yes, Cynder!" Haul said.

Then Haul left Cynder's Mountain.

"I can't allow anyone to stop me!" Cynder said.

"I have to complete my plan!" Cynder said.

"Why is taking so long for the orbs to be all powered up?!" Cynder asked herself.

"I better go to IceBerg Bay and see if Volteer is still struggling!!" Cynder said.

Then Cynder flew to IceBerg Bay.
