Armin pressed his lips in a thin line as he slowly stood from his where he sat on his bed and reached for his trunk.
Eren was clearly angry and would snap his teeth at him if he didn't give the silver gun back.
Opening the lid, Armin glared at the shiny silver gun. No matter how he tried to fight for his love, he's already losing. But after he accepted Erwin Smith's offer, Armin had something to look forward to. Like what would he pack for his journey, how would he inform Carla and everyone, was traveling really worth it? What about illness and bandits that they could meet along the way? Armin knew how to fight but after he saw how Levi fought, he thinks he had more to improve.
Reaching for the gun, Armin stood and gave it to his childhood friend.
Eren snatched it from him, his glare was like daggers on the blonde's skin. "I couldn't believe you."
Armin's eyebrows shot up. "You couldn't believe me? Well, who showed off his killer scent again last night?"
Eren's glare faltered at the reminder.
"I couldn't believe you, Eren!" Armin shot back. "I'm with Erwin Smith in the next room and he immediately recognized that it was Rogue's scent. What were you thinking?!"
"It... was just a little experiment," Eren shrugged as if he didn't care if Erwin would hunt him down. "I'll take care of Erwin, then."
"No need. I already covered your ass," Armin huffed and crossed his arms on his chest.
"Thanks, but don't give me that sass! How could you do that to my mate?! He's not like any of you guys!" Eren boomed at everyone in the room.
Some of the Omegas flinched in fear while others held their heads down in submission.
"Big deal!" Armin shouted.
"Oh, it is a big deal! The point was, you guys didn't listen to me!" Eren exclaimed. "I just asked you to spare him but what did you do?!" He hissed at Armin.
Armin grumbled something under his breath and Eren sighed. "Levi is my mate and it will never change. If you disrespect him again, then you disrespect me." He glared at Armin. "Is that clear?"
The blonde Omega gulped and nodded with his blue eyes fixed on the floor.
"Good, because if any of you pulled another trick on him, I won't hesitate to shot all of you," Eren cranked the silver gun, threatening everyone in the room. He's not surprised that it was loaded though, Levi had always been prepared.
When no one made a sound, Eren sighed and lowered the gun. "And I'm sorry for letting out my scent last night. I tried it with Levi, and it didn't affect him much but I sort of forced him to heat," he added.
Armin's eyes grew wide at the statement. Levi was unfazed by Eren's scent that could only mean that the raven was going to be his childhood friend's weakness. What happens if Levi turned against Eren, then-
Armin's thoughts were cut short when Eren spoke again, but this time, it was only meant for him.
"Armin, you're my best friend since childhood, I thank you for covering me up from Erwin but..." The outlaw smiled, then he frowned. "I want you to get along with Levi but after what happened... I guess I shouldn't push the two of you. But it would make my day if you guys learned to get along."
With that Eren left and slamming the door shut behind him. Armin pursed his lips and contemplated what the brunette said. Even if the blonde knew that Eren only views him as his best childhood friend, Armin still dreamed to be his mate. But then again, Armin never voiced his affection because he doesn't want to lose Eren if the outlaw turned him down. That's just going to be awkward.
But now, it's going to be awkward after what happened, and Eren's mad at him. This was just too much for Armin. Staying in the same roof with that raven Omega while recalling the days when he and Eren played as Alpha and mate in Rose Wall. It's just too much.
Maybe after he left with Erwin, he could probably try to move on.
"Come on!" Levi groaned. He was still kneeling on the door and slightly getting frustrated with his lockpicking skills. He already snapped almost a dozen of lockpicks and he had to be careful before he ran out. He didn't want to be stuck in the room and he also wanted to impress his Alpha.
If he could successfully unlock the door then, Eren would never lock in him again.
The lock clicked and Levi jumped for joy, only for his legs to gave out on him and shock them.
"Ow! Pins and needles!" Levi screamed. Trying his best to put less pressure on his legs.
"Levi? Are you okay in there?" Erwin's voice managed to travel on the ajar door.
Levi groaned, "yeah." He slowly straightened and stretched his legs slightly before walking out of the room.
Erwin was leaning on the banister while he eyed the empty main floor of Wall Rose. It was quiet, peaceful even, only the sounds of the broom sweeping the floor filled establishment and the soft humming from the Omegas who were cleaning.
Levi limped towards him, leaning his weight on the banister as well to lessen the pressure on his legs.
"Last night," Erwin started, eyes still gazing at the Omegas who were busying cleaning the floor. "You were amazing Levi, you got the skills of a Scout."
"I know," Levi huffed smugly.
"But," he turned to him with a worried look. "Why did they pick on you?"
"That Armin bitch was jealous as shit."
Erwin winced at the raven's language but he didn't comment on it, instead, he moved on to Armin's topic. "I spend time with Armin last night."
Levi arched a brow at the blonde Alpha. "I don't care about your sex life."
"No!" Erwin waved his hand as a deep blush spread on his face. "I mean, I slept on the floor while he took the bed and we talked."
"Armin likes Eren, I knew that," Levi grumbled and crossed his arms on his chest. Though he felt a sense of smugness because he was the one who wore the Alpha's mark on his nape.
"Ah, yeah and I offered him to join me."
Levi stared at him. "You're kidnapping him? Or should I say, Omeganapping?" The raven was just joking but the Commander took it seriously and was now blushing in a deeper shade of red.
"No! I asked him to be my travel companion because..." Erwin paused and sighed. "I just want to help him see the world."
Levi remained silent and watched the blonde's features. Erwin had the soft look as he gazed down at the main floor.
"You like Armin?" Levi blurted.
"What?!" Erwin blushed already reached his ears. "I didn't say that!"
"Oh, you don't need to say it, I could see it," Levi teased with smirked. "You like naughty Omegas, I see."
"Oh, God! Levi, spare me!" Erwin whined and covered his face with one hand.
Levi would have continued to tease the commander more but he heard someone cranked their gun. The raven turned to the source of the sound and found Eren on the top of the stairs with his silver gun in his hand. He aimed it at Erwin.
"My gun!" Levi rushed to his Alpha and took the weapon. He didn't care that his Alpha was about to shot the blonde Alpha, the important thing was Levi, got his gun back.
Eren smiled and embraced his mate while glaring at Erwin.
Erwin gave him a patient smile and held his hand in surrender. He understood that the brunette Alpha tends to get possessive when he's found alone with the raven. Erwin didn't blame him.
Eren sighed and turned his attention to his Omega. "You unlocked the door. I'm so proud of you."
"Took me a while but I think I got it now!" Levi beamed.
"You locked Levi in?" Erwin gasped with shock. Levi tensed, he forgot that the commander was there.
"Just teaching him a few tricks in case Armin and some of the Omegas pick on him again. Those guys just being jerks, you know?"
Levi let out the breath that he's been holding. He had to give the brunette Alpha a treat later for that nice save.
"I see, are they always like this to new Omegas?" Erwin frowned.
"It's a tradition they say, I think it's bullshit. I have to talk about this with my mother later," Eren shrugged.
"I see, you guys will be staying here for a while then?"
Eren glanced down at Levi and the raven Omega nodded. "Yeah," the brunette replied.
"I guess this is where we part ways then, I won't forget the times were did together," Erwin shot them a sad smile. "Visiting the Indian village helped me see in a wider perspective and it thanks to you, Eren."
"Nah! Don't mention it. When are you leaving town?"
"Next week. That'll give us time to prepare as well as Armin."
Eren froze and blinked at him. "As well as Armin?"
Levi looked up at his mate, sensing a roll of anger from the brunette but he decided to remain silent and thoroughly clean his gun with the cloth that he kept in his back pocket.
"Um, yes. Armin agreed to join me, we're going to Paradis Island," Erwin beamed. "They got a lot of wonderful beaches in there, it's worth visiting."
"That's nice," he said with a forced smile before he looked down at his mate. "Let's go back to our room?"
"Yeah," Levi nodded and waved at Erwin before closing the door behind them.
"He's leaving with Erwin?!" Eren exploded.
"Calm down," Levi cooed while putting away his gun.
"He said that you covered me up with Erwin but he didn't say that he's leaving!" Eren exclaimed as he paced back and forth in the room.
"Eren, Armin could do the fuck he wanted. And Erwin needs to get laid-"
Eren growled at him like a feral dog but Levi simply shrugged at him. The raven was no longer afraid of the outlaw no matter how angry he was. He figured because he got exposed to Eren's deadly scent last night or the fact that he knew that the brunette's anger was not meant for him.
"I just talked to him and he didn't even mention that he was leaving!"
Levi sighed and went to him. He placed his hands on the brunette's shoulder and pushed him until he was sitting on the edge of the bed. "Calm your shit."
"How?!" Eren growled.
"Erwin's a good guy and I could already foresee that Armin would treat him like a slave. Don't be so upset."
"I don't care about Erwin! I'm upset because Armin never told me about this!" Eren huffed, then he frowned. "He's my best friend and he's leaving without telling me?"
"Eren," Levi sighed, he's starting to get annoyed seeing his Alpha got worked up so much because of Armin. "Give it some time. To make you feel better, I won't take my suppressants tonight."
"No, I understand that you don't want to go to heat now. I want... no," Eren shook his head.
"What is it?"
"Well, I already told Armin that it's impossible but... I want the two of you to get along," Eren looked up at him with a small smile.
Levi stared at him with a dead expression. "You're right, that's impossible."
"Levi!" The brunette whined.
"I'll do anything except that."
"Um, maybe I should just talk to him without yelling at his face," Eren sighed and rested his on his hands. "I don't want him to leave without a proper goodbye or an apology for you."
"Yeah, right," Levi huffed.
"Is it okay if leave you for a while? Just a few minutes. I just need to talk to him," Eren pleaded.
"Yeah," Levi whispered. As much as he wanted that blonde Omega away from Eren, Levi let him. Armin's his best childhood after all and the blonde Omega was leaving next week, he just needed to be patient.
"Really?! Thank you, Levi! I love you!" Erem gushed, wrapping his arms around the raven's waist and pulled him close. "After this, we'll start planning. I promise."
"Okay," Levi smiled, likely the idea of planning for their robbery together. "But, what am I going to do? I kinda want to take a break from lockpicking." At that, the raven shaking his tired hands.
"I know!" Eren beamed. "You can meet Hange!"
"O... okay," Levi nodded. He has only seen the Beta with glasses once but he never got the chance to sat down and talked to her. That would be great to pass time but somehow in the back of Levi's mind, something's telling him that it's not going to be good.
