This chapter is so mean! I'm so sorry! I hope this doesn't ruin your week, but hey, Sunday there will be a new update! Don't hate me!

Chapter Forty-Nine

"Oh my god, what happened to your face!" I said as I examined the large welt on Edward's chin.

"It's nothing," He said, taking a big sip of his whiskey.

"Nothing? Edward, there is a huge bruise on your face. How did you get it?" I asked.

He grabbed my hips, "Babe, don't worry about it."

"Tell me right now," I snapped; he knew that I was serious by my tone.

He sighed, "Alright, it's no big deal, but I got into a little fight."

"A fight! With who?" I gasped.

"Just some asshole at this nightclub." He shrugged, "I'm fine though. You should worry about the other guy."

I stepped away from him, "Nightclub? You were at a nightclub? I thought you were working."

Tanya's voice suddenly popped into my head. She told me that she caught Edward cheating on her in a nightclub he owned. She tracked his phone and found him grinding on one of the strippers. That's when they had broken up the first time.

"I was working," He said, "I had to go make sure one of my nightclubs is running efficiently."

I crossed my arms and stared at him. Damn Tanya. She planted these seeds of doubt into my head, and now all I could think about was Edward grinding on some stripper.

"What? Do you not believe me?"

"It's late. Let's go to bed." I turned to go up into the bedroom, but he grabbed my arm.

"Hey, wait," He said, "Do you not believe me? I would never do anything to hurt you."

I shook Tanya's voice out of my head, "Yeah. I trust you. Sorry."

"Are you sure?"

I nodded at him, "Yeah. I'm sure. Let's go to bed. It's late."

"Okay." He stared at me as we walked up the stairs, "Bella, are you sure you're okay?"

We crawled into bed and I cuddled up to him, "Yeah. I guess, Tanya got into my head a little bit."

"What do you mean."

"We hung out tonight and she told me that when you two dated you cheated on her. That's why you two broke up the first time." I said.

He nodded slowly, "Yeah. I'm not going to lie, I cheated on her. It was fucked up. I wish I could go back and be a nicer person, but I wasn't. I was a dick. And I didn't treat Tanya the way she deserved."

"Why did you do it?" I asked.

"Back then I was an asshole. I was immature and young. I was a womanizer. I mean, I was good looking, and I was rich, women fawned all over me. And I was more so in a relationship with Tanya because I felt like I was obligated to be with her. I was a huge dick to her. She deserved a lot better."

"So, what changed?" I asked him.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, what changed you," I said, "Why aren't you like that now?"

"Well, my father had his heart attack, so I had to grow up overnight. Run the businesses and take care of the family," His arms tightened around me, "And then I met you. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me. You make me want to be a better man. I love you so much. You know, growing up I watched the love my parents shared with one another and I had always wanted that. But as I got older, the women I had relationships with just never made me feel any sort of way. Tanya was the longest relationship I had, and I did all the boyfriend things, but I felt those were more like obligations. Everything I do for you, I do it because I actually want to do it. It never feels like an obligation. It just feels natural. I love doing stuff for you."

I nodded, "So, you never felt for Tanya what you feel for me?"

"Not ever." He said, "Why?"

"I just… I've been thinking about things," I said, "And, I'm still not one hundred percent sure if I'm keeping it. But, if I do keep it, I'd want to know that you'd be here. For it and for me."

He rubbed my back, "Of course I'll be here for you and the baby. If you choose to keep it."

"Do you want me to keep it?" I asked, "Answer honestly."

He was quiet for a few minutes while he thought about his answer.

"Honestly, yes," He said, "I do really want you to keep it. I know it's a lot sooner than we planned, but I really want you to keep it. I would love to have a baby with you. It would make me so happy if you kept it. Are you thinking about keeping it?"

"I'm leaning towards keeping it," I said, "But I'm still not a hundred percent sure. The thought of going to getting an abortion kind of scares me. And it's not like I'm in a terrible situation. Yeah, I have the bakery, but there are so many options. Plus, things are so solid with us."

He kissed the top of my head, "Like I said, I respect whatever choice you make. But I do really want you to keep it. And if you do choose to keep it, I'm going to take care of the both of you."

I nodded, "It's so scary. I'm not even sure I'd make a good mother."

"What do you mean? You'd make a great mother." He said.

"I mean, I'm only eighteen. How could I be a mother now? I'm so inexperienced with everything. I'm just now learning how to run a business. Plus, I'm trying to get my business degree. I completely forgot about school," I sighed, "Crap. When I have the baby, I'm going to have to time like a semester or two off."

"It'll be alright princess," He rubbed my back, "We're going to get everything figured out before then, we have nine months."

"Seven months," I corrected.

"Seven?"

"Yeah, the doctor thinks I got pregnant back when I had that cold. I took antibiotics and it threw my birth control out of whack. So, I got pregnant sometime in December. I'll know more tomorrow."

"One right? We can leave at twelve and grab lunch. Then head over to the doctor."

I nodded, "Sounds good to me."

I curled up against him and closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep."

The Next Day

Riley was taking over for me so I could go to the doctor. When he asked why I was going, I ended up lying to him. I knew I was leaning towards keeping the baby, but I wasn't ready to tell anyone about it. Not yet.

"Oh, I completely forgot," I said as I decorated a cake, "Riley, would you mind working next Saturday?"

"Of course," He said, "I don't have any plans."

"Perfect."

"What are you up too?"

"Edward's taking me to the Poconos for an overnight trip." I smiled.

"Awe, how romantic," he chuckled.

I looked up at the clock, "I have to get going. Are you good here? I'll be back at two."

"I got this Bella," He said, "Go have fun."

I laughed and shook my head as I took my apron off. I sent a text to Edward that I was walking over. I figured it was safe since it was just a one minute walk to his building.

It was such a plain, boring looking building. Edward hadn't put any signs up or plants out. I mean, he wasn't planning on staying here for a long while, he had another nicer building in the heart of the city. He wasn't really concerned with decorating it.

"Hey Lauren," I smiled as I walked in.

She gave me a tight little smile, "Hey, Bella."

I went to open his office door, but she stopped me.

"He's with someone now. He'll be done in a second."

"Oh, who is he with?" I asked.

"He'll be out in a sec." Just as she said that there was a loud crash on the other side of the door. I heard Edward yelp, so I shoved passed Lauren and opened the door.

I was not prepared to see what was on the other side of that door. My eyes widened and my mouth fell open.

Edward was sitting in his chair with a blond woman in his lap. When the woman turned around, I realized it was Tanya. She had a long coat on and nothing underneath. I caught a glimpse of her naked body.

Edward was wearing the same expression as me. It took me a moment to get myself together. I turned away so they wouldn't see the tears in my eyes.

"Bella, wait!" Edward yelled, "Get off of me!" He snapped at Tanya.

I ran back to the bakery, successfully keeping it together until I walked into the back. A little sob escaped passed my lips.

"Bella?" Riley said as I passed by.

I sat on the couch and tried to get myself together. Riley walked back.

"Bella what's wrong?" He asked.

"Bella!" A voice called from the front. Edward.

"Tell him to get out," I said, "I don't want to see him right now."

Riley nodded and walked back out. He stopped Edward at the door.

"Move, I need to talk to her," Edward said.

"She said to get out." Riley said.

"Look, I really need to see her," He said frantically.

"No. Get out now or I call the cops." Riley said.

Edward must've taken Riley's threat seriously. He didn't argue anymore and just left. Riley walked back into the room and sat beside me.

"What's wrong Bella?" He asked.

"Can you please just give me a minute. I'll be fine." I said, knowing full well I wouldn't be fine.

The Next Day

Edward has texted and called me about a hundred times since the incident. I ended up sleeping on the couch in the bakery. I figured with the dogs here and Paul here, it'd be fine for the night. And I just couldn't go home. I refused to get into the car with him. Or even look at him. I had to send Maggie out there to tell him I wasn't coming.

I wasn't sure what to do about this situation. He had told me last night that he had changed, but from what I saw yesterday, nothing has. It made my stomach hurt thinking about it.

Here I was pregnant with his baby and living in his house. We had just declared our love for each other. Why would he do this to me?

"Uh, Bella there's someone here to see you." Riley said, "She wants to come back."

"Okay, send her back."

I didn't look up when the woman walked back into the kitchen. I was too preoccupied with decorating a cake.

"Hey Bella," I looked up to see Tanya, standing there with a coy smile.

My spine suddenly felt hot. I slammed the icing bag down, making a big mess as it splattered.

"Get out," I snapped, "You are not welcomed here!"

"Bella, please hear me out," She begged.

"I don't want to hear anything you have to say!" I yelled, "Get out now! I want you to get out!"

Tank stood and growled at her. She gave a wary look at the dog and sighed. A part of me wanted to say attack, but I refrained.

"I just wanted to say that I was sorry," She said, "We didn't mean for you to find out this way."

"If you don't get out, I'm going to fucking stab you," I snarled as I picked up the huge knife.

Her eyes widened, "Okay, I'm leaving. I just wanted to say I'm sorry."

"Fuck you," I snapped, "Leave!"

She nodded and walked out of the kitchen. I was shaking, clutching the knife tightly. Riley walked in and I put the knife down.

"These are for you," Riley had a large bouquet of flowers in his arms, "There's a package too."

I rolled my eyes, knowing who they were from.

"Throw them in the trash."

Instead of throwing the stuff away, he placed it on the counter.

"It's not my place, but maybe you should just hear him out."

Riley quickly left the kitchen before I could respond. I rolled my eyes but stared at the flowers and the little package. After a moment, I grabbed the package and opened the card that was sitting on top of the package.

Dear Bella,

Please hear me out. I swear to god nothing happened. Please listen to me. Come meet me for lunch. I'll take you to Angela's. I'll be waiting in my car. Please come meet me. I'll tell you everything. I love you so much.

- Edward

I sighed then opened the package. It was a large booklet from the phone company. I was confused until I flipped through it. It was a record of all of Edward's texts and phone calls since last July. There were hundreds of pages. There'd be no way I could read all of it.

I sat the booklet down and stared at the clock. He was waiting for me. I groaned and ripped my apron off.

A little bit of a cliff hanger, but she is going to see him. Sunday you all will have the answers as to what happened! And you were all right to worry about Tanya! She's trifling, but honestly I did love her character in the movies and the books, but I always depict her as a beyotch. I need to make a story where I'm nice to her, lol. I'm currently writing chapter fifty-three for this story, and I'm working on Outtakes which will either be a story on it's own or I'll add it to this one after I finish. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed and I hope you have a great week! I'll update on Sunday!
