Obstacle Course Extreme
Holly and Buckaroo were set to race each other at a starting line while Poppy stood, holding a stopwatch while saying, "Okay, you both ready"? Buckaroo smirked and said, "Holls, prepared ta eat my dust," as Holly replied, "Ha! The only thing y'all be eatin' is ayy "sand,"wich full of dust aftuurr ay beat ya, Buckaroo"! Poppy then said, "On your mark, get set, go," and clicked the stopwatch as Holly and Buckaroo galloped, leaving a huge dust cloud in their track. The crowd cheered as they watched both country trolls racing each other through a carefully organized obstacle course. The first one was a set of hurdles, which Holly and Buckaroo easily lept over. Then came a barrel run, where holly and Buckaroo had to avoid touching the barrels while weaving past them. Buckaroo slid by with ease, but when Holly was making the last turn, her beck leg nudged the barrel as Holly grimaced and commented, "Dangnabbit," before trying to catch up with her best friend. Next came a spinning balance beam, as Buckaroo stuck her arms out and tried to keep her balance, though she wobbled a little bit. Holly, luckily, was able to trot across without losing her balance and soon had the lead, and she and Buckaroo approached the last obstacle: the long jump. Buckaroo caught up to holly, and both girls were tied for first and heading towards the long sandbox set for the long jump. Holly and Buckaroo kept trying to pass each other, aiming to get the advantage for the last obstacle when suddenly, both country trolls tripped and tumbled down the path, landing in the wet sand with a SPLASH. Buckaroo and Holly groaned in pain before they looked at one another and broke into laughter. Despite big covered in the mucky wet sand, both girls had a lot of fun. Buckaroo got up and helped Holly to her feet as she said, "Good game, Holls," as Holly replied, "Back at'cha, partnuurr." Poppy came running towards them as she said, "Wow, you two! you may not have completed the course, but you did both break your records from last time! You got even faster"! Buckaroo shook the wet sand off her hat while saying, "Well, call me Ester ayn' dress me down! Ay ken't belive we actually broke our taame records," while Holly added as she shook the wet sand out of her hair, "Yeah, y'all! We thought it'd be impossible"!
Then, Aggie flew up to them as she said, "Well, you both are lean, fit, galloping machines. Buckaroo is a 16-time rodeo winner, and you're a former storm chaser, so running fast is in your blood." Holly then said while stretching out her legs, "Still, ay kaand ov wished it was ayy lil' mawe challengin'. It's always the same obstacle ever'taame: the hurdles, barrel run, long jump. We could run it backwards if we wanted ta ayn' still make it through with ease"! Buckaroo added, "Yeah, ay love a-runnin' through an obstacle course as much as the next troll, but mama needs ayy challenge ta test her limits. Ay haven't faced anything hard obstacle-wise since the last rodeo." Aggie then said, "Well, maybe we should add another obstacle, perhaps some swinging logs or rising platforms to test the ability to think quick on your feet." Holly then said, "But we've done those kaand ov obstacles befawe. If anythin', it's almost laake it's become...borin'," as Buckaroo shuddered, saying, "Ay hate ta say it, but ay fear Holly may be raheet, y'all." Then, a new voice piped in, shouting, "Nay," as the crowd separated, revealing Demo, with Melody by his side. Demo came forward, saying, "I beseech thee, judge obstacle courses not, fellow trolls. If it's a challenge you desire, there is but one course you can tackle that'll give you the challenge of your life! For thou has never experienced its most epic incarnation: an old hard rock troll tradition:...Obstacle Course Extreme, aka the Greatest Course of All Time." Everyone became excited as Melody then piped in, saying, "Close your eyes and envision yourselves seeing this marvelous feat in person. An Obstacle course just like this, but bigger, faster, stronger, tougher, each one more hair-raising than the last. Something as simple as a hurdle jump now brought to a whole new level of epicness! And legends say that those who successfully cross it, are dubbed...a champion." Now, the crowd was really pumped up as Aggie said, "Wow, that sounds so exciting, but...is it dangerous"? Demo chuckled and said, "Need worry not, my magical friend, for it is not dangerous...per see. Only those who dare to face its mighty helm head on and don't back down in the heat of the moment will be worth to even be called an Obstacle Course Extreeme warrior."
Buckaroo and Holly were now extra excited as Buckaroo tossed her hat up in the air and caught it while shouting, "Hoo-wee, that sounds laake my kaand ov obstacle course," while Holly added, "Hot dang, y'all! Sounds laake the perfect course faw us, assumin' other trolls ken do it, raheet"? Melody nodded, saying, "Yes, for the course is open to all challengers, no matter who or what you are." Poppy then said, "In that case, we have to bring Obstacle Course Extreme to Trollstopia! I'm sure there is a lot of trolls who'll want to try it out," as Aggie added, "It does sound intriguing, but how do you do that course? We can't do it unless we see someone who has done it before do it." Demo chuckled and said, "Well, no need to fret, for luckily, we have the world's greatest Obstacle Course Extreme warrior here to demonstrate," as Melody added, "And the best part? The warrior and I...are related." A few minutes later, over by a rock, Val was leaning up against a tree, looking up at the sky, when she saw a huge crowd of trolls approaching her, including Demo, Melody, Aggie, and Poppy, as she asked, "Uh, what's going on"? Poppy then asked, "Val, is it true," while Aggie added, "Are you really the world's greatest Obstacle Course Extreme warrior"? Val shrugged and said with a small smile, "Well, I don't know about being the "Greatest" but-," before Demo interrupted her by saying, "Of course she's the greatest, for she's the only troll who completed the course, and not only holds its fastest time ever but went through it...unscathed." Everyone gasped in shock as Val bushed, saying, "Look, we really don't have to go into-," before Melody interrupted Val, saying, "It was amazing! A sight to behold! You had to be there to witness it first-hand"! She then slid over to Demo and started to strum her electric guitar while Demo played his classical guitar while he commented, "You see, Melody and I were there that fateful day, when we witness what many would call a day of pure fate." Melody added, "Yes, for it was the day of the greatest course of all time." As both Melody and Demo started to sing, they flashbacked to the time Val stood up to the challenge and successfully ran through the most epic, daring, and extreme obstacle course known to troll kind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The Greatest Course of All Time~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Demo and Melody: This is the story of the greatest course of all time!
Demo: We were waiting around for a champ to appear! When who should arrive, eyes shining so clear? To beat the clock, leap through the fire for the greatest course of all time?
Melody: Leaping through the air, without a care, never seen a troll with such agile hair! She raced the course, cool all the while, for the greatest course of all time!
Demo and Melody: And she's the one who holds the crown! And she will never let us down!
For she will dare to run the greatest course of all time!
Demo: Now, some might say that this story ain't true! But what I'm spinning to you is all of the truth! For she truly did, and I do not kid, ran the greatest course of all time!
Melody: She ran through it with ease! Was one with the breeze! You would miss it if you blinked or if you sneezed! At a speedy pace, she won the race at the greatest course of all time!
Melody then said while raising Val's left arm, "And she even has a small scar from a past burn on her elbow to prove it"! Everyone narrowed their eyes and saw a small, white, circular dot of Val's elbow and gasped in amazement as Val lowered her arm, using her right hand to cover her elbow, and blushed while saying, "Ok, we don't need to show it to them any longer, so-," before Melody and Demo started singing again.
Demo and Melody: And she's the one who holds the crown! And she will never let us down!
She'll the greatest! Yeah, she'll run the greatest course of all time!
Val suddenly felt herself get picked up by Poppy, Holly, Biggie, and Demo as they tossed her into the air a couple of times with the hair before Val said, "Ok, guys, can you put me down"? The group put her down as Aggie said, "Wow! Val, you really are a true athlete! To face the greatest course of all time and go through it unscathed, it's almost impossible to believe, but crazier things have happened." Val showed a nerovus smile before she felt Melody swing her arm around her while saying, "You know, it makes my heart sing to know that my cousin is an obstacle course champion! I couldn't run that course, even if my life depended on it, but she did, and her legacy is amazing! I couldn't be more proud of my older cousin"! Val's cheeks flushed pink as Demo added, "So, as you can see, trolls Val's a legend! And now, she'll get to show off her unrivaled skills to all of Trollstopia for everyone can witness it"! Val chuckled and said while nervously rubbing her left arm, "Coem no, guys, it really wasn't a big deal." Then, a new voice piped in, saying, "Oh, but it was, Val." Everyone turned around and saw a female, grayish-blue rock troll with messy dark blue hair, and was a bit taller than Val, Poppy, Melody, and Aggie. She had a dark blue nose, eyes, dark red lipstick, and silver hoop earrings. She wore a long, brown, sleeveless jacket covered in stitches, and underneath it, a black catsuit with a blue cross. The troll also had a black choker around her neck, black fingerless gloves, similar to Val's blue ones, and a grey belt. She chuckled and said, "Long time no see, Val." Val smiled and exclaimed with excitement, "Petra," and ran to her, both trolls fist-bumping, before Val hugged her while asking, "What are you doing here? You haven't come to visit since Bad Hair Day performed here." The now identified rock troll smiled and said, "Well, I've been wanting to check on you is all, so, I decided to come visit." Petra then looked up and saw Melody looking at her with crossed arms as the rock troll said, "Song," while Melody replied in a monotone voice, "Petra, we meet again." Poppy, Aggie, Demo, Holly, and Buckaroo watched in anticipation as both trolls walked up to each other before Petra chuckled and said happily, "Get in here you pink lug," and swung her right around Melody, using her left hand to noogie Melody on the head gently, the pop/rock troll laughing as she said, "Ok, I get it. Nice to see you too." Everyone sighed a breath of relief as Demo commented, "Well, that's Petra for you; she always looks like she's ready to fight and then surprises you like that he you least expect it."
Once Petra had enough fun with Melody, she let her go while saying, "Let me look at you, kiddo. You seem to be doing well. By the way, your boyfriend says hello," as Melody's face flushed red, making everyone break into laughter. Petra then approached Aggie while saying, "And you, Aggie, my rock-solid compadre. How's life been treating you? Everything good here? No troll giving you a hard time"? Aggie smiled and replied, "Everything's great here! We're all living in harmony, like usual." Petra smiled before saying, "well, the infectious energy may be a bit much for me, but if you guys seem to be enjoying it, then I supposed I could loosen up a little. Especially to see my best friend do the greatest course of all time again." Val blushed in embarrassment as Demo declared, "Then, we haven't a moment to lose! Onward, my obstacle course brethren, to construct a course, post haste"! Everyone cheered and proceeded to leave, but while Melody, Petra, Demo, and Poppy left, Aggie, Buckaroo, and Holly were pulled by one of Val's pigtails as she said, "You gusy have to put a stop to this"! In concern, Aggie asked, "Stop Obstacle course Extreme? Why"? Val then answered, "Because...because...oh I can't hide it! I'm terrible at obstacle courses, ok?! Awful at them! that run Demo and Melly were talking about...it didn't happen the way they told it."
Flashback to some time ago...
I was just out in the woods alone, eating a cupcake a la splode. You know, like I normally did.
Val enjoyed a cupcake a la splode as she took a bite of it before tossing it into the air as it exploded, covering some hives with frosting.
Suddenly, these Hostile Hornets attacked me...for no reason at all!
Suddenly, a huge group of Hostile Hornets emerged from the now broken hives as Val gulped in nervousness before running away as the hornets chased after her.
I ran as fast as I could, and the only way I could lose them was through that obstacle course! It was a total fluke!
Val ran for her life as she crossed through the intense obstacle course, trying to avoid getting stung by the hornets, as the crowd watched in amazement of seeing Val tackle the course.
But I didn't outrun them unscathed. Right when I was about to make it, one lousy hornet stung me in my elbow, which is how I got that scar.
When Val almost made it to the end, she felt something pinch her elbow and saw that a stray hornet stung her. She quickly climbed up and lept through a fiery hoop, stopping momentarily to catch her breath before rushing to get help before the venom could do some damage to her.
End of flashback...
"I would have been seriously hurt if not for a passing motorbike that got me to the doctors in time, where I received the antivenom for the hornet's sting. Once I was healed, the wound became a scar, and although it's tiny, it still has left such an impact on me. I've been stuck living with this lie for years! I'm not the hero every troll expects me to be, and when they find out about the truth, it'll go down into the all-time bummer hall of fame! And the worst part is that I'll lose Melly's respect for me! If that happens, my heart'll shatter into a million pieces! I don't know what to do." Buckaroo then said, "Why don't ya just tell ever'one the truth," as Aggie added, "Yeah. Tell them what really happened, and they'll understand, and who knows? It might unite everyone in a surreal soul-cleansing moment that before seemed improbable." Val shot the trio a look as Holly said, "Whel, a-going by that reaction, ay take it no"? Val gave a simple head nod as Aggie then said, "Then, we'll do the next best thing: train you how to run through an obstacle course"! Val then said, "How? I don't even know what the course is going to be like"! Holy smiled and said, "Leave that to me, Val"! A while later, Aggie was setting up some swinging logs as Holly explained, "Ok, sugar. In the Greatest Course of All Time, you gotta get past six obstacles to reach what Demo calls the flamin' hoop ov glory! First is the swingin' spiky logs, followed by ayy maze ov hydro cannons! After that, ya got ayy blindin' runway that'll shaane so many braheet neon laaghts, it'll make ya dizzy! Next, ya climb Mount Sweets, ayy handmade hill made with enough chocolate ayn' candies ta give ya a sweet toothache faw day! Then, ya gotta conquer ayy blustery wind tunnel, ayn' finally, the fireball brigade, where ya gotta dodge fireballs that'll be launched at ya. Get past all 6, ayn' y'all will have officially conquered the course"! Val looked at the swinging logs nervously as she said, "I don't know if I can do this, guys." Aggie reassured Val by saying, "Don't worry, Val. If you can pass this course, mastering the Obstacle Course Extreme again will be a piece of cake. You did it once before, after all. You can surely do it again. All you have to do is belive in yourself." Val gulped in nervousness from the sight of the practice course as she said, "Well, ok." Buckaroo pulled out a stopwatch while saying, "Ay'll taame ya so we can see what we're workin' with, which'll help us narrow your training down ta key areas. Now, sugar, let's see what ya got. On your marks, get set, go"!
When Buckaroo clicked the stopwatch to start it, Val started to run through the swinging logs, ducking under one before getting hit by the next one that came her way. Aggie, Holly, and Buckaroo cringed in concern as Val was then tossed from log to log and sent flying into a pool, where small hydro cannons doused her with water. Val struggled to get out before she saw that she was now on the runway, which turned on its bright lights and almost blinded Val, making her cover her eyes and stumble around until she felt that she was by the practice Mount Sweets and started to scale it. Val successfully climbed up, but she tripped and rolled down, somersaulting through the blustery tunnel before landing at the fireball brigade field when she got to the top. Small cannons that were shooting scorching rubber balls fired at her as one ball hit Val in the back of her skirt, making Val perk up, scream in pain, and run across the field, dodging the rest of the heated balls before sitting in a bucket of water to cool down where the ball hit her, sighing in exhaustion and content. Buckaroo stopped the stopwatch while Aggie wrote notes about Val's performance on a clipboard before commenting, "We may need to help her on being able to dodge." After that, Holly set up a desk for Val to sit in as she, Aggie, and Buckaroo started to teach Val about the art of running through an obstacle course. While drawing a diagram on a chalkboard, Aggie explained, "Obstacles: they come in various forms, shapes, sizes, quantities, but if you can determine the pattern of how they appear, their style, and their timing, then it'll be easier for you to beat. Holly then said, "With the logs, their swingin' moshun is laake the pendulum ov ayy clock. Or when you're slowly wavin' at somebody. So, when you are facin' these here logs, you are gonna use your hand ta taame how often they swing up ayn' down so y'all ken find the right taame ta run raheet through. Now, with the hydro cannons-," while Val took notes and read a textbook about running through an obstacle course. Later, after Val quickly changed into a black and red plain crop top, red sweatpants, and a blue headband, Buckaroo had Val run on a wide treadmill to help her improve on speed. At the same time, Aggie and holly were throwing balls at Val so she could work on her dodging. Aggie tossed a black ball as Val moved to the left to dodge it before stepping to the right to avoid a yellow one thrown by Holly. Buckaroo pressed a button to make the treadmill work faster, which caused the rock ambassador to start running faster. This kept up for a while until the treadmill started to spin too fast, and Val couldn't keep up with it, which led to her stumbling and getting caught on the moving platform, spinning around and around really fast while screaming in a panic.
Then, Aggie and Holly had Val kickbox to strengthen her muscles as Val punched and kicked at their gloves. While this kept up, Buckaroo shouted, "That's it! Keep it up! One, two, three! One, two, three! Naw slouchin'! Pick up those feet"! Val kept doing this until she accidentally punched Holly in the arm, making the country ambassador shout in pain and step back as Val exclaimed, "Oh my god! I'm so sorry, Holly"! However, instead of a frown, Holly then started to happily laugh as she said, "Now, that's what ay'm talking about! Give us 10 more sets, Val"! Val smiled and then resumed her kickboxing before finally, Aggie said, "Ok, now, let's test your progress and see where we are now." At the beginning of the practice course, Val took a deep breath and waited for Buckaroo to signal. Once the stopwatch started again, Val started to run through the swinging logs, this time passing through with ease and only stopping if one was close to coming her way or was blocking her path. Her friends cheered her on as Val smiled in pride, feeling like she could do this. Suddenly, before Val could make it to the end, a stray log came and hit her, sending Val flying into a rock as she collided with it on her right leg before dropping to the ground. Aggie shouted, "Oh no, Val," and flew over to her, adding, "Are you ok"? Val groaned in pain and commented, "Um...ow," as Aggie helped her up before noticing that something was very wrong. When Val tried to stand on her right leg, she winced in pain, which was also noticed by Holly and Buckaroo, who trotted over, as Buckaroo commented, "That there was some nasty tumble ya had, Val. Are ya hurt"? Val grimaced and answered, "My leg...it hurts bad," as Holly said, "Naw worries, sugar. We'll take ya to Moonbloom's. She'll fix ya up quickuurr than quick"! Val limped over to Holly and sat on her as she helped Val over to the doctor's office while Aggie and Buckaroo followed in concern. Soon, Val was sitting on an examination table with her right pant leg rolled up while wearing a blue boot-like cast, as Aggie asked, "Doc, how's Val? Is she going to be ok"? Moonbloom looked at her clipboard before answering, "Val, I'm sorry to tell you this but...you appear to have a class 2 sprain in your right leg appendage, and you also seem to have a torn ligament in you lower leg as well." Everyone gasped in shock as Val asked, "Am I...gonna be able to walk again"? Moonbloom replied, "Yes, you will...after about a week of staying off that sprain, but be very cautious, for if you use too much physical activity on it, you could worsen your condition." Holly then said, "Dang, y'all, that means ya ken't do Obstacle Course Extreme faw ayy week." Val then realized that Holly made a good point...now that she was hurt, she couldn't do the course...which meant...she wouldn't have to show everyone that she was living a lie anymore.
Aggie patted Val's back as she said, "It's ok, Val. We know how much you've been working hard to show everyone your training out on Obstacle Course Extreme." Val then said, "Aggie, what are you talking about? This is the best thing that could've ever happened to me! Yeah, it could have been a little better, but...now that I'm hurt, I can't do the course anymore! There's no need to! Come on! Let's go tell everyone"! After grabbing the crutches Dr. Moonbloom gave her, and a little help down the stairs and tree branches from her friends, they all started to head to where the course was being built and spotted Demo chatting with Biggie. Val approached Demo and said, "Uh, Demo? Can I talk to you"? Demo turned around and started to say, "Sure thing, Val. what's hap-," before he saw that she had a bott-like cast and crutches, making him gasp and exclaimed, "Val! What happened?! Did you get hurt"? A crowd started to form, with Petra and Melody being in the crowd, as Val sadly stated, "Yeah. I, unfortunately, got hurt while preparing for tonight's run at the obstacle course you were setting up. My leg is sprained and I have a torn ligament. So, because of my injury, I'm now medically unable to do Obstacle Course Extreme. I'm sorry, guys." Everyone groaned in disappointment as Demo then said, "Hey, it's ok, Val. It's not your fault," as Melody added, "Yeah, you can't blame yourself for this." Petra even added, "Though it's a bummer we won't get to see you do your stellar warrior run again, I respect that you have to take it easy for some time until your leg hopefully heals. How long are you out for anyway"? Val replied, "A week, if I remember, but-," before Demo interrupted her by saying, "Wait, a week? That's not too long at all! We can wait a week and then, once you're better, you can do the course"! Val then gasped in horror, realizing that Demo was right, as she nervously commented, "That's...factually correct." The crowd started to cheer again as Demo exclaimed, "Hear that, trolls? The course is back no for next week"! While everyone celebrated, Val gulped in nervousness again and facepalmed, muttering, "Me and my big mouth." Aggie came up to Val, saying, "Val, you know you don't have to do this. You can tell everyone the truth of what really happened and then you won't have to run the course anymore." Val then answered back with, "I can't tell them, Aggie! It's a surefire way to the bummer hall of fame! Besides, I'm sure that in a week, everyone will forget about it, and I won't have to do the course anymore. Seems about definite, right"?
One week later...
Night had fallen over the Trollstopia stadium as a huge crowd of trolls gathered to witness the Great Course of All Time in action. A set of black logs covered in spikes swung about, the hydro cannons blasting furiously in the pond, Mount Sweets towered over all of the other obstacles, each chocolate and piece of candy glistening under the moon. The runway was flashing so many bright colors, some of the audience members reached out for sunglasses, the wind tunnel howled furiously with strong winds, and the fireball brigade was launching scorching, glowing, fire-like balls. At the entrance, a frightened, nervous Val muttered, "So much for trolls forgetting about it," as she was surrounded by a group of trolls (a yellow country troll, a light blue bipedal funk troll, a purple Techno troll, a lavender pop troll, and a Classical roll with white hair) who also wanted to take on the challenge. Demo spoke into a microphone as he said, "Behold, all obstacle-course loving enthusiasts of all ages, sizes, and music! Witness the magical majesty of our champion, the Ultimate Obstacle Course Extreme warrior: Val Thundershock"! The crowd went wild with cheers as Melody shouted from her seat, "Yeah, go, Val," while Petra added, "Show 'em what you got, girl"! Val walked up to the starting line, along with the other contestants, as Demo explained, "And tonight, Val has some challengers who wanted to go up against the great Val Thundershock! Will one of them succeed, or will Val remain on top? Be ready to see it for your very eyes, folks"! Val looked back at Aggie, Holly, and Buckaroo and walked up to them, saying, "Guys, I can't do this! No amount of training is enough for this! I'm just gonna eat it out there and make a huge fool of myself"! Seeing Val look so frantic, Aggie then said, "Alright, girls. time for one of my pep talks," and flew up to Val, saying as she placed her hands on Val's shoulders, stating, "Val, I know you are feeling scared, but we all know that you can do it! You've worked hard to get to where you are now, and now it's the moment! The time has come to show everyone what you can really do! We're here by your side supporting you, but you also got to believe in yourself. Do you believe in yourself"? Val hesitantly replied, "Uh, I don't know. Ask it louder." Aggie then asked louder, "Do you believe in yourself," which made Val reply, "Maybe a little more." Aggie then exclaimed into a megaphone, "DO YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF," which made Val cover her ears and reply, "Ow, uh, maybe find the fine line in the middle." Aggie nodded and placed the megaphone back in her hair and said in the perfect voice, "Do you believe in yourself"?! Val thought about it before saying, "You know what? I do! I do believe in myself! I can do this"!
Aggie smiled and said, "Now, go and show them," as Val nodded and joined back up at the starting line, awaiting the call with the other contestants. Everyone was set to run as Demo declared, "Now with all of our worthy contestants here, let Obstacle Course Extremem begin! On your mark, get set, go"! All of the contestants started to run and reach their first obstacle: the swinging, spiky logs. Val narrowed her eyes in determination, remembering her training, as she dodged the logs with ease, leading the pack as she soon passed through the first obstacle. The crowd went wild as Buckaroo commented, "Bacon-wrapped hotdogs! Val made it through"! Holly added, "Woo-hoo! Look at huurr go! She just maheet make it"! Aggie shouted, "Go, Val! You're doing great"! Soon, the contestants reached the pond for their second obstacle: the thunderous hydro cannons, with enough power to knock you off the stage. As the cannons fired water, everyone scattered to avoid getting hit as the Country troll and the Techno troll got knocked off. Val saw this occur and gasped before noticing a shot of water heading to her. Val lept up to dodge as she then ran in a zig-zag formation to dodge the other blasts of water. With that conquered, the blinding runway was in sight, as all of the remaining contestants had to shield their eyes in the beginning from how bright it was. The Classical troll easily flew above it as Val then got an idea. She felt the breeze gently blowing as she closed her eyes and started to run across the runway with ease, making the crowd gasp in surprise as Melody declared, "Woah! Val's running across it with her eyes closed," while Petra added, "Thar's Val for you; resourceful and wild"! Val kept running until she felt the urge to stop and skidded to a complete halt, which was lucky, because the minute she opened her eyes, she saw that she was now facing in front of Mount Sweet,s which was 7 times bigger than the hill she practiced on. Val gulped in nervousness before saying, "No, I can do this"! She then started to scale the tall candy mountain, as the other contestants soon made it to the end of the runway and began to climb it. Val struggled to keep a firm grip on the chocolate but wasn't willing to give in as she kept climbing higher and higher until she finally reached the top and peered down at the ground. She saw the Classical troll almost at the wind tunnel and then got another idea, remembering something from her training. Val smirked and said, "Rock and roll forever," and somersaulted down the mountain, rolling like a boulder that was rolling down the side of a mountain, much to everyone's shock, especially her friends. Holly frantically declared, "She tripped again, y'all," as Aggie mentioned, "No, she intended to do that! Val must have gotten an idea"! At the same time, Buckaroo commented, "Whatever it is, ay sure hope she don't get hurt again from it."
Val kept somersaulting as she rolled past the Classical troll with tremendous speed and easily made it through the wind tunnel before flipping to her feet, staring down the last obstacle: the fireball brigade. The cannons fired off the fireballs as Val charged in and slid underneath a few of them before running to the side, alternating left and right, to avoid the others. Soon, Val made a mighty leap and jumped over the cannons, making it to the other side, and ran to a huge podium where a red button was shining. Val slammed her hand on the button as it made a buzzer noise and shot confetti, making the crowd get up and cheer really loudly. Val breathed heavily, unaware of what was going on at the moment until she saw the confetti fly and every roll cheer at her, which meant one thing...SHE WON! Val smiled and pumped her fist into the air while shouting, "I DID IT! I ACTUALLY DID IT"! Aggie, Holly, and Buckaroo all ran to Val as Aggie hugged her while saying, "Val, that was amazing! I knew you could do it," as Holly added, "Y'all really wowed ever'one out there"! Buckaroo chuckled and said, "Top-notch obstacle course a-runnin' Val. Well done," as Val said, "It was thanks to you guys for helping me train and...to help me see that I just needed to believe in myself. I guess, sometimes, doing that without any skill isn't always going to result in a guitar to the face. Thanks, guys." Aggie then said, "We didn't do anything; what happened out there was all you." Melody then ran up to Val, saying, "Val, that was amazing! You went through the course again with ease"! Petra even added, "Yeah, Val. You were stellar out there just like last time." Val then realized that now was the time that she had to tell everyone the truth of what really happened long ago. she started to say, "Uh, about that, I...need to-," before Demo interrupted her by saying as he came over, "Val, you were awesome out there! Our champion's legacy still lives on," which earned a lot more cheering. However, before things could get any louder, Val shouted at the top of her lungs, "WWWWAAAAIIIIITTTTTTT," which silenced the crowd, allowing her to explain, "First off, I thank you all coming out here to witness this but...there's something you all need to know." Val looked back at her friends as Aggie nodded,d motioning her to continue. Val smiled before saying, "See...I've been hiding something from you for years. The first time I ran the Greatest Course of All Time? Where you all thought I was a hero? I'm actually not. That run...was a fluke. A big, fat, lucky, fluke. I'm usually awful at running through obstacle courses. Ask them, and they'll tell you." Aggie replied, "Well, I wouldn't say awful at the start," as Buckaroo simply stated, "Just terrible."
Val then continued by adding, "The only reason I ran that good back then...was because a group of Hostile Hornets was chasing me, and one of them...actually stung me, which is why I have this scar on my elbow, not because of getting burned, but because of getting stung." Melody gasped in shock as Petra was surprised, to say the least, as Val then said, "I know it's a bummer for me to be telling this to you now, but...I'm done pretending to be something or someone I'm not. Thanks to my friends who helped me train to do this course for you tonight successfully. So...yeah, that's the whole truth and nothing but the truth." The audience murmured to each other in confusion as Demo then said, "You know something, Val? I'm done pretending too. In fact, you know that drum solo I did over a week ago? It was actually me having a sneezing fit." Everyone gasped in shock as Melody then stepped forward, saying, "That cartwheel off the stage I did during Val's concert? It was actually me tripping and almost falling on my own feet. But when I fell onto my hands, I was able to lift myself up and over and turned it into a cartwheel." Another rocker troll then got up, saying, "My epic cannonball was actually a huge bellyflop. But no one saw it happening, so I went along with it." Another fellow rock troll, air guitarist specialist Blaze Powerchord, got up and said while lifting his shirt to reveal a pink heart with an arrow inside of it tattoo, "My cool tattoo? It's just a stain I had from when I fell into a Flavorberry patch. I've been restaining it every week for 8 years"! Petra even got the courage to stand up and say, "I follow Bad Hair Day around, not only because I like the band but...it allows me to be able to hang out with other trolls since...I don't have any friends." Everyone gasped in shock as Aggie then flew to Petra's side, saying, "Well, you don't have to be friendless anymore because we can all be your friends." Everyone nodded in agreement as Petra smiled and offered a fist bump to Aggie as she said, "Righteous, Aggie." Aggie fist-bumped Petra with her rock hand as Demo said, "Wow, Val. It seems as though your honesty as united us all in a surreal moment of...what is this feeling"? Aggie, Val, Holly, and Buckaroo looked at one another as they said in unison, "Soul cleansing moment of healing," before hugging each other. Demo and Melody joined in the hug, too, as the audience watched in awe while Petra felt a little uncomfortable. Aggie saw this and offered her rock hand out, saying, "Get in here," as Petra was pulled into the group hug while a colorful fireworks show played in the night sky while the moon and stars glimmered like diamonds.
