Her heart stuttered as he turned towards the forest, and disappointment slammed into her.
She hadn't seen him in over a week. Hadn't felt his calming aura brush along hers, and though she had absolutely no right to demand any of his time or attention, she found she didn't care.
Lunging forward, she grabbed ahold of his sleeve. Halting in his progress, he looked over his shoulder at her.
The question plain to see in the slight narrowing of his eyes.
