Black Rose Dragon's attack cut a trench in the dirt. "Woah, Black Rose Dragon's attack was real," Leo said. "Which means Akiza's using her psychic powers again," Luna added. "I end my turn, you're up little brother," Akiza said as she turned to Alastor. "Thank you, I draw. And the card I've drawn returns to my deck. I special summon Infernal Prodigy and sacrifice him to summon my Evil HERO Earth Shaker," Alastor said.

"Now attack Misty directly with Molten Rage!" he ordered. His monster formed a ball of molten lava in his hands before throwing it at Misty.

Misty: 5100 LP

"I place 2 cards face-down, and due to Prodigy's effect, I draw 1 card during my end phase. Your move," he said. "Looks like it's time for me to get serious. Come forth ancient seal," Misty said as she raised her hand, causing the lizard geoglyph to appear around them. "I draw. But due to my Sad Story spell combo, the card I've drawn is automatically returned to my deck," Misty said as she put the card back. "During my standby phase, I activate the effect of Dragon Queen in my graveyard. By sending my Sorrowful Memories spell card to my graveyard, I can summon her back to the field," Misty explained. "And now that she's back, I play the Reptilianne Rage equip spell. This will give her 800 more attack points," Misty explained.

DQTE: 1900-2700 ATK

"Now attack Black Rose Dragon!" Misty ordered. "Not so fast, I play the trap card Rose Blizzard, which puts your monster in defense mode, cancelling your attack," Akiza explained. "Which allows me to play this, the trap card known as Tragedy. If your monster in attack mode changes to defense mode, all the monsters on your field in defense mode are destroyed," Alastor explained as Misty's monster was destroyed. "So you both managed to evade that one. But because of Reptilianne Rage, one of your monsters loses 800 attack points, and I choose Black Rose Dragon," Misty said.

BRD: 2400-1600 ATK

"I set one card face-down and end my turn," Misty said. "This is getting intense," Leo said from outside the duel field. "Leo, Luna!" Yusei shouted as he ran up to them. "Yusei, Akiza and Alex are dueling, but they're not themselves," Leo said. "I know. We have to figure out how to snap them out of it," Yusei said. "It's my move Misty. Now Black Rose Dragon, attack Misty directly!" Akiza ordered. "I activate the Magic Cylinder trap card, so your attack is negated, and you take damage equal to your monster's attack points," Misty explained. "I play the Engagement Destiny spell card. This will halve the damage to Akiza, but I receive the other half," Alastor explained.

Akiza: 3200 LP

Alastor: 1100 LP

"I summon Dark Verger in defense mode and end my turn," Akiza said. "My move. I play the spell card Riryoku. With it I can transfer half the attack points of one monster on the field to another monster of my choosing for this turn. Since I don't think Akiza will mind, I transfer half of Black Rose Dragon's attack points to Earthshaker this turn," Alastor said.

BRD: 1600-800 ATK

Earth Shaker: 2400-3200 ATK

"Now attack Misty with Molten Rage!" Alastor ordered.

Misty: 1900 LP

"I place one card face-down and end my turn," he said. "It's my move. And during my standby phase, I activate Dragon Queen's special ability. So by sending my Sad Story – Unwavering Truth to the graveyard, she revives once again," Misty said as her monster came back. "Next I summon Reptilianne Gardna in defense mode," she said.

"Now Dragon Queen, attack Black Rose Dragon!" Misty shouted.

Akiza: 2900 LP

"And due to her special ability, you have to discard one card to the graveyard while I draw 1 card from my deck," Misty reminded. "I activate the spell card Goblin Thief ,which takes 500 of your life points and gives them to me," she said.

Misty: 2400 LP

Akiza: 2400 LP

"It's your move Akiza," Misty said. "Thank you, I draw. And I play the Fragrance Storm spell card. By destroying Dark Verger, I can draw a card, and if I happen to draw a plant type monster, I can draw again," Akiza explained as she drew her first card. "The card I've drawn is Copy Plant, meaning I can draw again," Akiza said. "And now I'll summon Copy Plant in defense mode, which allows me to summon Dark Verger from my graveyard in attack mode," she explained. "I place a card face-down and end my turn. It's your move Alastor," she said. "Thank you, I draw. Now Earth Shaker, attack Dragon Queen with Molten Rage!" he shouted.

Misty: 1900 LP

"And due to his special ability, I can add Dark Fusion from my deck to my hand. I place one card face-down and end my turn," Alastor said. "I draw," Misty said. "This duel is over. First, I activate Dragon Queen's effect again, allowing her to be revived by sending Atrocious Day to the graveyard," Misty said. "That dragon just doesn't know when to quit," Alastor said.

"Now I play the Advance Force spell card. Due to its effect, if I sacrifice Dragon Queen for a summon, it counts as two monsters," Misty explained. "Alex has dueled you guys enough to know what this means," Alastor said. "That's right, I summon Earthbound Immortal Ccaryhua!" Misty shouted. "That's not good is it?" Leo asked. "No, it's not," Luna answered. "We've gotta stop them!" Yusei shouted. "Wait, Yusei, didn't you say your duel disk has a live feed function?" Sayer asked. "Wait, I get it," Yusei said as he engaged the feature. "Misty, I need you to listen to me," Sayer said.

"Sayer? I thought Carly took care of you," Misty said over the connection. "Misty, you have to know the truth about your brother. He's alive, and he's okay!" Sayer shouted. "What?! You're lying to me!" Misty shouted. "Please just listen. It happened the day Akiza tore up downtown Domino. Your brother was in the crowd and wound up being trampled as people were fleeing. We found him and sent him to one of our facilities for treatment," Sayer told her.

"Then why did I never hear from him again?" Misty asked. "When your brother came to, he couldn't remember anything, and he had only just joined the Arcadia Movement, so we had no records of any family. I'm truly sorry you thought you had lost him, but you must believe me when I tell you that your brother is okay! I can even take you to where he is myself," Sayer assured.

"Toby, you're really okay. Forgive me Akiza. It wasn't your fault, and I am so sorry. And Alex, I'm so sorry for what I've done to you and your parents," Misty said. Little did she know that Alex heard her in his subconscious. Alastor's armor dissolved, and when it faded away, his eyes opened to reveal that Alex was back in control. "I heard what you said Misty, and I forgive you," he said. "Thank you, but I'm afraid the best atonement I can offer you is my surrender," Misty said as she began to place her hand on top of her deck. Suddenly, purple mist began to come off Misty as a voice spoke in her mind. I will not allow you to forfeit this duel, the voice said.

"Misty you have to fight it!" Alex shouted. "I can't, the darkness controlling me is too powerful," Misty said as she fell to her knees. You must defeat them. You must defeat them both! the voice said. "Akiza, you have to snap out of it! Akiza!" Yusei shouted. "I know that voice. Yusei?" Akiza asked as she returned to her senses. "Akiza, Alex, I can no longer stop this duel of my own will. The darkness is too strong," Misty called out. "Don't give in!" Akiza encouraged. "You can fight it!" Alex shouted. "It's too powerful, I can't fight it any longer! So I think I'll fight you instead Signer, and send you to the Netherworld," Misty said as she was taken over by the spirit of her Earthbound Immortal.

"You two have no choice but to finish this duel!" Yusei shouted. "We plan on it," Alex said. Although only one of us might make it out of this, he thought to himself. "Now Ccaryhua, attack Akiza directly!" Misty shouted. "Oh no, if this connects, Akiza will lose!" Luna shouted. "I activate my trap card, Krystal Avatar!" Alex shouted as his trap changed into a crystalline monster and stood in front of Akiza.

Level 4/LIGHT/Warrior

"What?!" Misty exclaimed in shock. "This trap can only be played when my opponent declares a direct attack with a monster that has more attack points than my life points. Now Krystal Avatar's attack points become equal to my life points, and it becomes your attack target instead of Akiza. And if you destroy it, you take damage equal to its attack points," Alex explained.

Avatar: ?-1100 LP

"But wait, if Ccaryhua attacks it, then Alex," Leo began to say. "Alex you can't!" Yusei shouted. "This is my choice Yusei. I know you can beat her Akiza. I love you sis," Alex said as he shed a few tears. Ccaryhua brought his fist down on Krystal Avatar, causing shards of it to strike Misty and Alex, knocking Alex to the ground.

Alex: 0 LP

Misty: 800 LP

"Alex!" Akiza shouted as she ran to him. "Alex why? Why did you sacrifice yourself for me?" she asked as she held him in her arms. "You're like a sister to me. And besides, I'd rather I be the one to lose instead of you. I know you can win," Alex said before he dissolved into shadows, leaving nothing but his duel disk behind. "No, noooooo!" Akiza shouted as both she and Luna fell to their knees and cried. "How pathetic. Sacrificing himself just to prolong your suffering. I place a card face-down and end my turn," Misty said. "He wasn't pathetic. That act wasn't out of foolishness, it was out of love and trust. Alex trusted me to beat you, and that's what I'm going to do," Akiza said as she got to her feet and wiped her tears away.

"Then show me what you can do Signer," Misty taunted. "With pleasure, I draw. And first I activate Copy Plant's special ability, making it level 2 just like my Dark Verger," Akiza explained. "Next I summon Hedge Guard in attack mode. With it on my field, I play the Shining Rebirth spell card. By sending the necessary monsters from my field to the graveyard, I can synchro summon a monster that's in my graveyard," she explained.

"I send my three monsters to the graveyard to resurrect my Black Rose Dragon!" Akiza shouted. "And now I activate her special ability. When she's summoned, her special ability destroys every card on the field. But due to my Shining Rebirth, Black Rose Dragon can't be destroyed this turn," Akiza explained. "I activate the Doom Gazer trap card. When an effect that destroys cards on the field is activated, I can activate this card and deal you 300 points of damage for every destroyed card. So with 8 cards being destroyed, you take 2400 points of damage," Misty explained. Suddenly, Akiza could hear the real Misty's voice. Akiza listen, you owe it to the Signers and Alex. You must keep fighting, she said. "Are you sure?" Akiza asked. I'm positive. Don't let your brother's sacrifice be in vain, Misty responded. "I play the trap Nature's Reflection. This trap reflects the damage from your effect right back at you," Akiza explained.

Misty: 0 LP

"Are you alright?" Yusei asked as he and everyone else ran up to her. Akiza walked past them and picked up Misty's locket before going back to pick up Alex's duel disk. "Alex, I'll never forget you or the time we spent together," she said as she cried over his deck. "Everyone look," Leo said. "The sun is setting, and the last tower hasn't been sealed," Trudge said. "At least everyone that been absorbed by the Earthbound Immortal have been returned, right?" Mina asked. In the streets of New Domino City, everyone who had been absorbed were reappearing in the streets, including Alex's parents. "We're back," Alexis said. "Alex and the others must have defeated the Dark Signers," Jaden said.

Suddenly in the Satellite, the ground began to shake violently. "What's happening? Why is the ground shaking?" Yusei asked. Suddenly a pillar of light appeared in New Domino City before morphing into a condor geoglyph. "Another Dark Signer? But who could it be?" Yusei asked. "I don't know Yusei, but I have a feeling we're about to find out," Akiza said.
