"Ouch!" Hinata exclaimed.
"Watch where you're going, idiot!" Tobio scolded. "This is the second time you've tripped and fallen." The black haired boy lifted the short boy back to his feet by the back of his collar. "Get your head out of your butt and keep going."
Hinata's wide, brown eyes turned up to Tobio. "Sorry, Kag- I mean, King Crow. I don't know what's going on with me today."
Tobio felt his face grow hot. He let go of Hinata's shirt and kept walking. "Just keep up, alright?"
Hinata nodded, catching up with Tobio. They walked behind Deku for a few minutes in complete silence. Deku stole a few glances at the boys before turning back ahead. The silence was deafening, so Tobio opened his mouth to talk. Although, he was rudely interrupted by someone going the opposite direction running into his shoulder.
"Oh, sorry," Tobio apologized, turning back to see if the person who shoulder checked him was okay.
The person turned around, looking at Tobio. "No, it was my bad." The person was a boy with spiked brown hair and a sort of intimidating face. He looked to be the same age as Hinata and Tobio.
"Sekimukai?" Hinata's voice came from behind Tobio.
"Shoyo?" the boy, apparently named Sekimukai, answered. "No way, you're a hero already?"
Hinata chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "No, not yet. I'm just an intern right now."
Tobio looked from Hinata to Sekimukai, back to Hinata. "You know this guy?"
"Yeah, actually," Hinata laughed. "He and I went to middle school together. Along with…" He held his chin. "Whatever happened to Izumi?"
Sekimukai glanced to the side. "Actually, I don't know. He and I agreed that we'd go to Shiketsu together before middle school ended, but when I showed up the first day this year, he wasn't there."
Hinata shrugged. "He always said that he'd go to Ketsubutsu if he couldn't get into Shiketsu, though."
"I guess he didn't make it in," Sekimukai agreed. "He and I lost touch before the school year started. Kind of like you and me, huh?" He elbowed Hinata.
"Yeah, we did, didn't we?" Hinata said, blushing. "Sorry about that. I was kind of distracted with UA. Congrats on getting into Shiketsu, though. Especially without a quirk."
Tobio watched a conversation like a ping pong match, switching to each new speaker. "So...who is this guy?" he finally decided to butt in.
"Oh, sorry, Kageyama!" Hinata apologized, waving his hands. "This is Koji Sekimukai. We went to middle school together." He turned to Sekimukai. "And this is Tobio Kageyama. He goes to UA, too."
"Awesome," Sekimukai said. "So are you friends with Sho now?"
Tobio looked at Hinata. "Actually, not really."
Hinata puffed out his cheeks. "Oh, come on, Kageyama, don't be like that."
Sekimukai laughed. "I see, I see." He shrugged. "Well, I won't pry into your guys' love life."
"L-love?" Hinata stuttered, face bright red. He looked at Tobio, then back at his middle school friend. "I don't-"
Tobio felt his face grow hotter than the sun. "We're not-"
"Guys!" Deku interrupted their blush fest. "We have to keep going!"
Sekimukai's face went from mischief to wonder. "You're interning with Deku?" he whispered.
Hinata nodded, starting to catch up with the pro hero. "Yeah, but I really have to go, now. If you see Izumi, tell him I say hi!"
"Got it!" Sekimukai answered. "And you stay out of trouble!"
Once they were out of earshot, Tobio said, "I have a bad feeling about him."
"You jealous of Seki?" Hinata taunted.
"No, I'm not jealous of your little friend," Tobio retorted, glaring down at the redhead. "I just don't feel good about him."
"Whatever, Kageyama," Hinata sighed.
