His Silent Scream
Chapter 49
Author Notes: Hey guys welcome back~ God it's crazy to think it's nearly been an entire year since i started uploading. Ok Mako stop with the nostalgia and let's get right on to things. Last week it was finals. This week-well it's time to get the twins in again! I do not own Yugioh.
3rd P.O.V
It was an all out war as four individuals struggled. "Get going Jehu!" And frankly it was just unfair. "No! You can't make me." Haou was ready to scream as he went about pushing his boyfriend towards the door. Jesse and Johan tugging their brother's arms forward.
"You traitors!" He had been fighting tooth and nail to avoid this. But the day had at last come. "Stop being such a baby! The guys have been looking forward to this for ages now." Atticus, Zane and Axel were waiting for the moron in a car outside.
Atticus taking the hint from everyone decided to Not go to a crazy party or club for their day out. Instead it was a roller rink, where lunch(and possibly) dinner would be on him. Though the bluenette felt much better about the new change, he still didn't want to go.
Mainly because Haou still wasn't going. Insisting on being the twins babysitter. Jesse and Johan had movies, snacks, everything and anything they could think of to enjoy the night. But they couldn't get to any of that until their sibling left.
They were making progress in getting him to move slowly but surely enough. "I don't care! Nothing ever goes right with their plans!" Haou knew this all too well. As Jennifer told him about their bad luck streak. Honestly he didn't understand why they bothered if things always turned into a disaster when they went out.
Still it didn't involve him so he didn't care as he pushed with all his might. Watching in satisfaction as Jehu was at last forced outside the house. "Look, if it makes you feel better. I'll call you around eight when the kids are sleeping to check up on you." All he got was a puppy dog stare.
So full of betrayal and sadness. "But-but I love you! Don't do this to me!" Jesse and Johan snickered from behind Haou's pants, sending mean looks Jehu's way. "Jehu. Go have fun." A loud honk came from the car, Axel rolling down the window.
"Either get your ass over here Jehu or I'm grabbing you myself." His fate was sealed. "Finnneeee!" He sighed, reluctant. Despite his bad luck streak and dramatic reaction, something about tonight didn't feel right.
He just wasn't in the mood to do anything. "Love you." Still his cruel lover refused to let him cancel. "Traitors...all of you." Haou placed a kiss on his cheek. Not giving Jehu any chance to kiss him back before walking inside. "Night Jehu~" Still grumbling Jehu went to the car.
Forcing himself in next to Zane. They still needed to grab Aster. The eight year olds waved the car away, before cheering. They finally got Haou all to themselves for the night without their brother kissing him. "What do you guys want to do first? You have four hours till bedtime."
Haou was intent on keeping them on schedule, already knowing their sleep habits. "Cook~" He should've known. With a laugh he makes his way for the kitchen, the pair following closely behind. "Mom said she bought pizza stuff for us!"
Jesse ran for the fridge while his elder sibling leaped towards the cabinets next to the stove. Just barely able to grab the new pan and pizza cutter bought for the occasion. Haou barely lifted a finger as his little helpers set about bringing him the ingredients.
"Aren't you guys forgetting something important?" Emerald eyes mirror each other in confusion. Johan answering first. "Preheat the oven?" It took everything within the teen not to smile. "Nope." Still a good answer though.
Jesse putting a finger to his mouth in thought. "Putting on our aprons?" Now Haou had to smile, ruffling his hands in their hair. "Try washing your hands." Both ohhhed before rushing to the bathroom. God he loved these kids.
Rolling up his sleeves he went about preheating the oven and grabbing their aprons. Placing them on the chair before washing his own hands in the kitchen sink. "We're ready!" Their hands were still wet, but clean. Gold eyes closed as he tossed them a dry washcloth so they could finish. "Suit up."
All of them quickly got to work. Out of all the things the younger Andersons have made with the brunette pizza was probably one of the easier ones. Especially since they were given premade dough. All they really had to do was add the sauce and toppings before Haou threw it in the oven.
"Can we make a dessert too?" A small hum escaped their babysitter as he grabbed his backpack. Revealing Yubel's recipe book, gently laying it on the table for them. "Go through it and tell me what you want to make."
Seeing the aging papers and barely held stitching the young boys gingerly read their potential options. Their brows were furrowed in thought as they read the names. Some of them were in different languages, and there were no descriptions or pictures. Just the ingredients and preparations.
Making it hard to make a decision. "What's quesillo?" They were in the European section of the book, trying to figure out what it looked like. Haou has had all of the dishes listed in his book at least once in his life, so he didn't bother trying to add descriptions.
Seeing their expressions he easily took note of their confusion. He grabs his sketchbook, waving the two over so they can watch him sketch the dessert. It doesn't take long for them to see a familiar image they'd seen on tv.
"It's an egg pudding dessert. Most people call it flan, and its usually drizzled with a clear caramel or sugar base sauce." It looked good, but they weren't feeling it. So they tried a few more pages.
Stumbling into the Italian section. "What about cannolis?" Their eyes squint as Haou makes a new picture. "They're cylinder fried pastries with a creamy filling in it." Still not the right one-definitely something to try another day though.
Huffing they searched once more, this time flicking to a random page. "Knickerbocker's Glory?" The kids snort. "What a weird name." Haou chuckles a he starts drawing that one. "It's similar to my parfait. A conglomeration of ice cream, fruit, cream, nuts and sauces." This was it.
Their precious dessert. "We want this one!" It wouldn't be all that difficult to make. It was just assembling a massive ice cream sundae. Not that he would tell them that. Knickerbocker's Glory as strange a name as it sounded made it seem more foreign and different then what it actually was.
"We'll make it after dinner. Otherwise it'll melt." They essentially had everything to make it. It wouldn't be any issue. "Can we make one for mom?" Haou raised an eyebrow. "Just mom?" Johan rolled his eyes. "Yeah! Jehu was mean to us earlier before you came! He doesn't deserve one."
Jesse nodded in agreement. When it comes to their elder brother, the twins always tag teamed. "Is that right? How about a small one? So he gets a taste of just what sort of fun he was missing out on? Your Mom will get one that's going to be our size." The two shared a glance for a moment.
Grins on their faces. "Ok." Haou smiled before going to the oven, doing a check on how their dinner was coming along. Still a few more minutes. "Mind putting my book back in my bag please?" They do as requested, being extra careful not to damage Yubel's book.
Just having it in their sights was a serious privilege. One neither of them wanted to lose. "Now for drinks." Jesse and Johan sat in their seats as Haou grabbed a weird assortment of items. "What are you making?" lemonade, sprite soda, food coloring and ice and weirdest of all, an empty bag and rolling pin.
"You'll see." They watched in curiosity as Haou threw all the ice into into a bag. Jumping when he smashed the bag before rolling it with the pin. Doing this in not even ten seconds. "Grab three cups please." Silently they do as they're told.
Pushing them towards the brunette so he can put the now crushed ice in each one. "Pick between green, purple or orange." Blinking in perfect sync they rattled off their answers. Johan going with his usual green, and Jesse since he couldn't have blue went with purple. "Time to make some magic."
Haou placed a few drops of food coloring into each of their cups. Red for Haou, blue for Johan and a few drops of both for Jesse. They stared in awe as he mixed the ice, it changing colors right before their eyes. Then the sprite soda was added, enhancing the color.
"Now for the lemonade." They clapped their hands, mesmerized as the colors changed again. This time being in the colors they originally picked. Though Jesse's was a tad darker due to the contrasting yellow being added. Gently Haou pushed their signature drinks their way so he could take out the pizza.
Relieved that it hadn't burned. "It's good!" Haou sighed in relief, glad they liked it. "What's it called?" Their babysitter shrugged as he went about cutting their dinner into even slices. "I don't have a name for it. I just made it with what your mom had lying around." The pair share a glance.
Now that just wouldn't do. "It needs to go into the book!" They were determined to find a cool title for it. "Yeah! And name it Rainbow Crystal~" They took another sip, savoring the sour fizz. "I'll think about it. Come on. It's time to eat."
To be continued
