Her heart felt full. Being here, in his arms, it felt right. Even while her mind insisted that she could not fall for the demon holding her so tenderly, her heart leaped. She knew what they had right now would not be eternal. She knew, but she couldn't help the little glimmer of hope that arose as she listened to the beat of his heart. She was aware that their fairy tail had a time limit, but why should she focus on that? Why not instead focus on the present?

She was tired of being weary. She wanted to fall, to take a leap of faith, and who better to place her faith in than Sesshoumaru?

A gentle cooling ocean breeze found its way into the cave, sending shivers down her spine and bringing attention to the fact that her bladder needed to be emptied.

"Um, Sesshoumaru." She started. "Is there somewhere I could go to … relieve myself?" She asked.

His head turned to one of the openings that led further into the cave. "You will find a small stream at the end of that path." He helped her to her feet and steadied her when she wobbled.

She admired the fact that her soreness was almost completely gone. 'Thank God.' She thought to herself as she walked down the little path. The sunlight filtered in from the entrance as well as little cracks along the cliffs side. She found the stream easily enough and went about her business. She also took a moment to wash her hands as well as herself down there, easing some of the pain that still remained. The cool water did wonders for her aching body. 'Now if only I could take a proper bath.' Their activities had left her sweaty and she was sure her hair was a hot mess. She blushed as she thought about the other reason she wanted to be clean. 'He does have a very masterful tongue though.' She argued with herself.

Fixing the 'skirt' of the fur to cover her back up she walked back to the main cave area. The smell of the ocean was growing more evident as the wind picked up, bringing whafts of ocean air with every breeze that made its way in.

Sesshoumaru was standing, fully clothed, waiting for her return.

"I don't suppose you intend to keep me here the entirety of our stay?" She asked.

A devilish gleam lit up his eyes but his face remained impassive. "That was the plan." He admitted.

Kagome blushed a little and cleared her throat. "As much...fun...as that would be, I do require sunlight and perhaps a bath if possible?" She hedged. Inuyasha always made such a big deal about going out of their way for her to find a good place to soak in, hopefully advertence to bathing was not something that ran in the family.

"Hn." He replied and turned to walk out of the cave.

Quickly realizing he was leading her out, she grabbed her shoes from the pile of clothes and pulled them on, running to catch up to him.
