Chapter 49 – Back home
A hologram was showing her lungs completely clean. Luke was next to her watching it.
"Well you are now free of the parasites. Your body just expelled them naturally and they are 100% recovered." the doctor smiled at them
"So does that mean I can go home?" Ines asked her
Doctor Lina smiled and nod
"I will just sign your discharged right away. But maybe I should show you another thing" she said smiling as she passed the scanner on top of her belly and the hologram above show to them, their baby.
Ines smiled and looked at Luke
"Our baby" she told him
Luke smiled at her and looked at the image in front of him. There he was, his little boy.
"He is perfect" the doctor say "At almost 5 months, you can see his spine perfectly and you can hear this" and pressing a button they heard the heart. "Your baby heart beat"
"Isn't a little to fast?" Luke asked
"Perfect heart beat for a 19 weeks old fetus. Nothing to worried about" she smiled. Every parent asked the same question. "Also you can see it is a boy right there"
Luke smiled and looking at Ines he kissed her.
"I'll go sign the papers. You can get up and get dress" the doctor said leaving the room, while Ines sat up on the bed, and started to take off the medical care outfit and put the clothes Luke brought to her that morning.
"Where did you put my wedding dress?"
"At home. Next to my suit. Don't worried" he smiled as she dresses and putting her boots she stood up.
"I can't believe that in one week my belly grew like that. I'm glad I bought clothes thinking of that or right now, this shirt would be up here."
Luke laughed at it
"Your belly will grow quickly from now on" the doctor said
"I just hope he doesn't grow to much, after all I want a natural birth" Ines spoke to her
"For what I saw minutes ago, you will be able to have one" she replied "Here it is. All I need is for you to sign it and you are free to go. You will fell tired but it is from that little one, not from this."
"So she is fully recovered. Can return to normal activities" Luke asked the doctor, which made Ines look away trying to hold a laugh. She knew what Luke was asking about, but so did the doctor.
"If the activities include sex, yes she can. Her lungs are fine." the doctor smiled when Luke felt embarrassed. "Don't feel ashamed, you are not the first husband who ask me that and will not be the last. Well if you need anything you know where to find me"
Ines approached her
"Thank you for everything" and she hugged her, which made the doctor smile.
"I did my job"
"My wife is right. Thank you, from our heart" Luke smiled shaking her hand.
"It was my pleasure" she said and left the room.
"Come on, let's go home" Luke said
"Can we stop at Coruscant burgers. I'm hungry.. well we are hungry" she said rubbing her belly.
"I can eat one too" he smiled and wrapping his arm around her shoulders they left the medical care.
In fact Han was right, the day came up cloudy. According to local weather info, they were expecting a storm for the end of the day.
Luke brought the burgers and the fries, and two local drinks. Ines grabbed one the fries and eating she closed her eyes.
"I missed this so much. Hospital food is horrible." she said
"But you can't eat this type of food all the time. It is not healthy" Luke told her
"Yes father" she smiled at him. Then she got serious "So about last night. Do you think she really is going to be away for now?"
"Yes. But she will return for sure. When, I don't know, but it will not be soon, I feel it" Luke replied looking at her
"If she hurts our baby, I will kill her. Jedi or not, don't mess with my child" Ines looked at him and he understood.
"Me too. Just let's hope that is our last choice" he sighed and looked outside "We better eat quickly. Those dark clouds are showing that the storm it will be bigger" he said when a voice made them looked to their right and smiled when they saw the boy they saw last month
"Davi" Ines smiled. She remembered him.
"You remembered my name?" he asked with smile
"Of course. Where is your friend?" she asked
"Kino is with his grandparents. Today I asked my parents to come here. I'm glad I did. I knew you would be here."
Ines smiled at that. She liked that kid. She imagine when her little Ben reach that age.
"We knew what happened to you at your wedding" Davi mother spoke "Well everyone knew."
"We were happy to know you are fine" The father spoke
"Thank you" Luke spoke
"I knew you and your baby would be okay." Davi smiled
"You knew?" Ines smiled back at him.
"I don't know why, but I just knew" he replied making Luke and Ines looked at each other.
"Well we better get going. We thought of eating here, but that storm is approaching quickly, so we better grab our food and go home. I think you should do the same" Davi father said.
"I think you are right." Luke said standing up and heading to the counter asking for a bag, following Davi parents. "I need to tell you something about your son"
Davi parents looked at him.
"I know you notice that your son is special, in a good way. This is not the right place to talk about it, and if you don't mind maybe we can talk some other day somewhere else. It is only talk, that's all. Maybe with Kino's parents too"
Davi parents looked at each other
"Our son is like you and your wife, isn't he?" Davi mother spoke
"Yes he is. They both are. And that is why I wanted to talk to both of you about training him when I open the new Jedi Academy here. But like I said, it is a subject to be spoken some other day, if you don't mind"
They looked at each other smiling
"Sure. Here is our address and apartment number." they give to Luke who smile
"Thank you"
The waiter appeared
"Here is your order and your bags"
"Thank you" Luke grabbed the bag and looking at Davi and his parents "See you soon" and walking away, he grabbed Ines hand while Davi wave at them and they waved back.
"What did they say?" Ines asked him once they left
"They gave them their apartment number so we can have a talk in the future" Luke smiled when thunder started to be heard far away. "Let's go home." he winked at her.
"I know what you want?" she laughed as they head to their apartment.
Leia's apartment:
Leia was laying, resting her head on Han chest.
"You know the storm is getting worst. How about you stay for the night" he said
"Using the storm as an excuse" he smirked
"You know maybe you should move permanently. You spend more time in here than in your own apartment"
"Is that an invitation for us start to live together? I thought you the traditional type of girl."
Leia laughed
"Yes I'm really traditional, that is why we being sleeping together for a month now, scoundrel"
"Scoundrel. You love calling me that" he smirked at her and grabbing her, he kissed "I show you the scoundrel" and laughing he put the covers above their head, making Leia laughed.
"You know Luke and Ines are right above us"
"Oh I bet your brother is doing with Ines what we just did minutes ago. Maybe we should do a competition" he laughed and kissed Leia again.
Luke and Ines apartment:
The rain hit the bedroom window and the lightnings occasionally illuminate the room. At that moment Luke was sitting on his bed, with Ines sitting on top of him, with her arms around his neck, while his arms were wrapping tightly around her waist, running his fingers to her long sweaty brown hair.
Pulling her into a deep kiss, they were making love at the moment, their forcebond making it the pleasure more intense than usual.
Ines pulled her head back, running her fingers on Luke's sweaty blond hair, moaning when she felt Luke lips on her neck.
He thought he would never be like this ever again with her, so he was showing how much he desire her, that night.
Kissing her deeply, he increase the movements, feeling Ines body reacting right away, being followed by his own seconds later.
After a few minutes, they looked at each other, Luke was running his hands down her sweaty back he smiled at her.
"You are so beautiful. I can't believe you are mine. I love you so much Ines"
Ines looked at him smiling, and run her fingers through his sweaty blond hair
"You're so handsome. I'm so lucky to have you in my life Luke. I love you forever"
Smiling, Luke pulled her into deep a kiss, while at the same time he lay her back on the bed, with him on top of her making sure he didn't put too much pressure on her belly, and grabbing the covers, he pulled it on top of their sweaty bodies.
Pulling back he looked into her eyes
"I'm yours forever"
"And I'm yours always" she replied and they continue to make love while the storm rage outside.
Ines is back home and Leia and Han started to share a bed a month ago. Does that mean we will have a second wedding soon? What did you guys think of Luke and Ines scene at the end?
