Chapter 49.

(Harry POV)

Martha and I was in my room on my Tardis. Martha was still asleep. I just layed there watching her sleep. Till Martha started stirring.

"About time, you woke up," I said.

"Hey," Martha said. "How long have you been up for?"

"10 minutes," I said.

"At least we finally some time to ourselves," Martha said.

"After that last 2 days, Yeah," I said. "Come on We should get up,"

"Yeah, Jack wanted to talk to me. Know what it is about?" Martha said.

"Maybe," I said. I knew since we have no idea what Owen is now. That Martha was going to be Torchwoods new Chief Medical Officer.

"You're not going to tell me are you?" Martha said.

"Nope," I said. "Come on, Let's get ready,"

As we got up and went to the shower that my room had in it and got ready and then we headed for the Control room.

"Still can't believe this looks the same," Martha said.

"I know, I made a few changes to this one, But nothing yet," I said.

"You still have to tell me where you have been since you went off with your old man," Martha said.

"Later, Come on," I said. As we headed out and went to Torchwood Hab where Jack called Martha in and no doubt told her. Which I could tell she was happy so she could spend more time with me. As I headed in. "Well?"

"I'm in," Martha said.

"Good," I said.

"Harry, You and I need to talk with Owen," Jack said.

"Get Ianto and Owen then," I said.

As Jack went to get them. And Martha headed out.

When Jack came back, With Ianto and Owen.

"Dr. Owen Harper. Torchwood officer 565. I'm relieving you of your position," Jack said.

"Bollocks, I'm sorry, Jack, this is Bollocks, Harry," Owen said.

"Hand in your weapon and security pass," Jack said.

"But why? I'm fine," Owen said.

"3 Days ago, You died, We need to examine you, Find out what you are, We have and need to be certain, you're okay," I said.

"Yeah, well it almost sounds as if you care, well done," Owen said.

"Until I'm confident you're fit for duty. Martha Jones will replace you as Torchwood's new Medical officer," Jack said.

"She's doing all right out of this, isn't she?" Owen said.

"She's worked out a series of tests and examinations," I said.

"And what if I refuse?" Owen said.

"You'll be confined to the cells, Tested and if the results show that you are a danger to the team, Appropriate steps will be taken," Jack said.

"Owen, Please let us help you," I said.

"Let us make sure you're safe," Jack said.

"You don't have to work it out by yourself," I said.

"I'm gonna need your gun," Ianto said. "And your security pass,"

"And How long are Dr Jones's tests going to take?" Owen said.

"As long as they need to," I said.

"And what the hell am I supposed to do in the meantime," Owen said.

"We always need someone to make coffee," Jack said.

"Oh no," Owen said.

"Jack," I said.

Then Ianto and Owen lefted.

"I hate that," Jack said.

"We need to be sure, It's only till we know," I said.

"I know, Doesn't mean I like it," Jack said.

It's been a day or 2 as the last what has been going on nothing has happened since. We Still trying to find out what the energy source we picked up is.

And we found what he had in the house.

"Ianto what have you found about Parker? Gwen said.

"I've identified some of the things he's purchased over the past year," Ianto said. "We've got a Dogon Eye, A Pair of Myakian Wings, Meteorites. An Arcteenian translations of James Herbert's' the fog, But there are a few things we've never seen before,"

"So one of these is causing the energy spikes?" Gwen said.

"And they're getting dangerous bigger," Ianto said.

"Right, we need to get in there," I said.

"Parker Employs a Mr. Philip Farrington to run Security, There's at least 6 guards, CCTV Everywhere, all of which we can bring down by taking out the generator, But then there's these," Gwen said.

"Heat sensors," I said.

"As in body heat?" Martha said.

"Yep and Solar powered," Gwen said.

"Where," I said.

"One of every doorway, every window," Gwen said.

"So how do we get past them?" Ianto said.

"Sounds to me, We need a dead man," I said.

"Sounds like you need me," Owen said. as Ianto passed Owen the gun and pass.

Then we got there and Owen was ready to go.

"If you hurt yourself you will not recover, Like I said any bruises you get, they're not gonna heal," Martha said.

"So Don't engage in physical combat," I said.

"One punch and our gone," Martha said.

"Be careful," I said.

"I understand," Owen said. "I'm made of glass,"

"Owen," Martha said, "Just take care,"

"Oh and you'll need this," Jack said.

Then he headed in.

Owen got the power down and then Owen headed on in.

"That was funny guys," Owen said. "Heat sensors, I am literally too cook for school. Right I'm in. Can you give me anything else? No worries, I'm getting used to being in the dark,"

"Stay where you are," We hear someone said.

"Evenin, Nice place you got here, Love what you've done with the pictures," Owen said.

"Who are you," He said. "Why aren't the sensors picking you up, Ok Stop, Stop or I'll shoot,"

"No you wont," Owen said. "You're a security good, That guns just for show innit, Do you know what a bullet does to a living person, It's not like a knife through butter, no, no, no, It rotates tears into the flesh and the gooey stuff behind, Ripping into the organs and ohh it's not nice, But Anyway I haven't got any body heat you must know what that means? You can kill a dead man,"

"What are you?" He said.

"I'm wrong," Owen said.

"What are you?" he said.

"I'm broken, I'm Dr Owen Harper and I'm having one hell of a day," Owen said.

Owen then found it. Then the guy dead and Owen couldn't help him.

"Owen," Tosh said. "Owen,"

"Yeah, I'm here," Owen said.

"The device, Is it doing anything, because the energy levels, coming from it are, Owen," Tosh said. "Owen It's going off the screen, It's going to explode,"

"Tosh what can we do?" Jack said.

"Nothing there's nothing," Tosh said.

"It's ok, I'm going to hold it," Owen said.

"Owen what are you doing?" I said.

"See if I can absorb it," Owen said.

"Owen, the energy readings off the scale, you won't survive," Tosh said.

"It's ok, These things happen," Owen said.

"There Must be something we can do," Martha said.

"Martha, Martha," Owen said.

"Owen," Martha said.

"If it destroys me they're going to need a new doctor, You've got all the credentials, Medical skills, a cracking arse," Owen said.

"Oi," I said.

"Harry, Look after her," Owen said.

"Always will," I said.

"Jack, If you even attempt to bring me back again," Owen said. "Gwen, Ianto, It was fun, Tosh, Tosh, Come one answer me,"

"Owen," Tosh said.

"I'm sorry," Owen said.

"I love you," Tosh said.

It didn't kill Owen but it wasn't a bomb. Owen was back to full duty again and Martha was ready to go back and I was going to take her.

"Sorry, Martha, no vacancies in Cardiff," Owen said. As he hugged Martha.

"Oi," Jack said.

"It's what I'm here for," Martha said.

"You take care," Gwen said.

"Well it's been," Martha said. "interesting,"

"It's been fun," Jack said. "Oh you can so come back any time,"

"Jack," I said.

"Maybe I will one day," Martha said. "Ready,"

"You know it," I said as we got into the Tardis and Took off Heading back to Her place with her Mum and Dad.

Where I told them what happened since I left the last time, Then I knew I needed to do something.

"I will see you all later, Back before you know it," I said.

"Hey," Martha said as she come over and kissed me. Then I went into the Tardis and flew off.
