Well we've reached the penultimate chapter of the story. It's been a great ride and there's still one more chap to go!

To Ironchef13: Eclipsa was in part of the Soluna shorts chapter, she had a larger role but it got cut when I abridged the plot. River and Globgor were also around at the time...Moon, you'll find out up ahead.

To Sugar: Dev ended up staying with Marco's parents for a while, it was not Marco's idea. He does eventually move into the castle once he's dealed with the remaining chimeras. Soluna's magic is actually red like her father's, although a calm blue does fit her personality.

To NightAroma: Star making whip cream ends in the kitchen on fire...and the cream is also flat. I'm always glad to hear when someone catches any small details I throw in (Janna's black magic; January 18; the time paradox) adding on to that last part, Soluna's last day in the past was right before 'Just Friends' you were close.

To Starcofan20: Nope, Chapter 50 is the final one.

"Grandma, Grandpa, I finally did it!"

A loud voice shouted as the front door to the Butterfly-Diaz house swung open. A sixteen year old girl with short blonde hair and sharp purple eyes excitedly made her way through the house until she found her grandparents sitting on a bench in the backyard.

The former queen and king of Earthni looked over to greet their eldest grandchild, putting whatever they had been discussing on hold to listen to the girl "Milky, it's good to see you." Star got up and gave the girl a brief hug "I trust you didn't kick down the door again?" Marco asked with a smirk, the tradition of kicking open doors had skipped a generation and was resumed by not one, but all three of his grandkids.

"No, I opened it normally. Sheesh you break a door a couple of times…" Milky Butterfly rolled her eyes.

It had taken a couple of years, but Soluna Butterfly and Dev Amalgam had finally become a couple when they were both 17. The two eventually got married and accepted the crown, becoming the current queen and king with the former also becoming an expert in astronomy. Soluna and Dev ended up having three kids, Milky being the oldest and a pair of twins six years younger than her; one boy and one girl. Unlike their mother and grandparents, none of them were born with marks or able to use magic until about three months ago when Milky finally dipped down and earned her own.

"Anyway, I finally mastered that spell! Let me show you!" the teen ran into the center of the yard, her turquoise colored magic illuminating her hands as she cast the spell "Fluttering Fairy Flight!" Milky was engulfed in light momentarily, when it dimmed she now bore two large butterfly wings the same color as her magic. She jumped up and began flying over the yard, Star and Marco watching proudly.

"That's awesome sweetie!" Marco called up to her, he and his wife watched as Milky did a few more loops and struck a pose as she landed.

The girl had a coy grin on her face "Of course it was awesome, I am a natural at this after all." One thing Milky is not is humble. The girl took pride in showing off her skills, claiming it came natural rather than admitting she had spent countless days working hard to perfect a single spell.

"Don't get too full of yourself; you've still got a lot to learn." Star approached her granddaughter and patted her on the head. The moment she dipped down Milky begged her grandparents to teach her as many spells as they could. Milky was as eager to master her magic as she was to be queen one day.

The younger blonde pouted "I know, I know. I wish I could use some of your bigger spells like Narwhal Blast and Warnicorn Stampede…"

Milky and her siblings lacked the cheek marks that their family was known for, as a result her magic being much weaker like her father's was. It seemed the tradition had finally ended at Soluna and no more people would inherit the powerful magic wielded by the queens (and Marco, Jushtin and Meteora) of the past.

Touching her empty cheeks, Milky traced shaped with her finger "Hey, if I had been born with the marks, what shape would they have been?" she asked the elderly couple. Taking a seat back on the bench, Marco and Star pondered over it for a minute, Milky sat between them as the three thought it over "I don't really know how the marks get picked." Star admitted "They always end up suiting the person they show up on, like how I'm cute and lovable and my marks are hearts."

"I've noticed that they always match the color of your magic, so we know yours would be turquoise." Marco added.

Milky seemed disappointed in this answer "I was hoping you guys would know more about it, besides mom you two are the only ones left with marks."

Sad as it was that was the truth, they were going to be the final people to carry this magic. Many of their more powerful spells and the ability to create summons would be lost to the ages.

Star sighed sadly "Yes, but I doubt my mother and Eclipsa knew how it worked either." Moon Butterfly was the first of the four Butterfly ladies to pass away. She had gotten very ill when Soluna was only twelve, the old queen passed peacefully in her sleep. Her husband River had lived another two decades before he too died...by accidentally pranking a bear that he believed was a guy in a suit.

Eclipsa was the next to go, Star and Marco had been in their late forties when they had heard that Globgor passed. Eclipsa was heartbroken when it happened, and only a few months later suffered a heart attack and joined her beloved.

"What about Meteora?" Milky wondered, she had met her distant cousin when she was little. Star and Marco grew even sadder at the mention of the name, Milky realized she probably shouldn't have mentioned her "Sorry, I shouldn't have-"

"No, it's alright." Marco reassured her "Meteora was the least involved with her magic, she was focused more on her inter dimensional treasure hunting."

Milky lowered her gaze, quietly asking her next question "Mom said I was too young to understand what happened to her…am I old enough to know now?"

The old couple nodded, frankly they were a little surprised Soluna or Mariposa hadn't told her yet "It was ten years ago-" Star began "Meteora hit her head on one of her adventures, when she woke up she started talking about meeting another version of herself in her head. We hoped nothing would come of it but she kept having terrible visions of another life, your grandfather and I decided it was finally time to tell her the truth."

"The truth?" Milky tilted her head in confusion.

Marco took over telling the story "Her mother Eclipsa had casted a spell that reverted her to a baby and erased her memories of her previous life. She used to be an evil woman named Ms. Heinous that tried to take over the kingdom when she found out who she really was." Meteora had even started to physically resemble Heinous when this had happened, Star had recalled Eclipsa had feared her old memories may return one day; though she wasn't around to see her fear realized.

"She was angry that no one had told her, but also understood why we did it. Unfortunately that's when it all went downhill." Marco somberly recalled "Heinous reemerged in her consciousness, creating a split personality that would awaken instead of Meteora every now and again. Heinous was furious and wanted revenge on me and Star for what we had done before she was reborn, and extended it to anyone related to the Butterfly family."

The teen faintly recalled an old memory from when she was about six; her mom and dad had taken her on an impromptu vacation in another dimension. They seemed to be worried over something the entire trip, Milky hadn't understood why back then but now it made a little more sense. As suddenly as the trip started it came to an end after Soluna had gotten a phone call, days later they attended Meteora's funeral.

"What did Heinous try to do?" The normally overconfident teen felt a pit drop in her stomach. Taking over for her husband, Star went on to tell the rest of the story "She made an attempt to murder your mother, we got Meteora back to herself afterwards and she put herself in isolation. The switching between Meteora and Heinous became more frequent until it seemed she was stuck as Heinous. Your great aunt Mariposa went to stop her from sucking everyone's souls again, Heinous mistook her for Princess Turdina an-"

"Wait, who is Princess Turdina?" Milky interrupted. Marco wordlessly raised his hand up, earning an amused reaction from his granddaughter "Ok I gotta see picks of that later." "You should, I was beautiful!"

"…so Heinous mistook Mariposa for your grandpa's alter ego and tried to kill her too." Star held back the tears forming in the corner of her eyes "She almost succeeded…until Meteora fought back from the inside. Determined to protect her best friend at any cost Meteora made the ultimate sacrifice, she used an instant kill spell her mother invented and forced it on herself."

Milky softly gasped, having not expected that to be the outcome. The teen intently listened to her grandmother as she finished up the tale "Mariposa was devastated by the loss of her best friend. She never had any peace of mind until we were able to talk to the spirit of souls, who was able to tell us that Meteora had been able to rest well knowing her dear friend was safe."

The air seemed to feel even colder than it had a minute ago, all talk of magic and marks long gone "That's…much sadder than I thought it'd be…I thought maybe she had just gotten sick like great grandma Moon, not a suicide to save her best friend…"

The elderly couple shared a look at one another, unreadable to anyone other than themselves "Death is…death is different for everyone…" Marco spoke softly "You don't always know when it's going to happen, it can be sudden or it can be gradual. It's scary to think about but…that's just a part of life."

"It's not how you die that matters, it's how you lived." Star placed a comforting hand on her granddaughter's shoulder. Milky placed her hand over hers and sincerely smiled at her grandmother, accepting what they had said.

Pushing himself off of the bench, Marco helped his wife stand up while he addressed the young blonde "Come on now, how about we teach you a few more spells before you head back."

Milky eagerly accepted her grandpa's offer, igniting the turquoise aura in her hands "Do you even have to ask?"

Soluna and Dev had just come back from a long day of work when they heard the unmistakable laughter of their younger twins in the garden. They followed the voices and found all three of their children excitedly talking with the queen's parents "Mama, Papa, Grandma and Grandpa are here!" The boy twin waved as he noticed the new arrivals to the garden.

"I can see that Soleil." Dev's response held the most minimal sarcasm he could manage. The girl twin ran up to her mother and pulled on her suit jacket "Milky was flying! She finally got the spell right!" This news made the queen even happier "That's fantastic!" She turned to her eldest, "I knew you could do it!" "I didn't!" Her younger sister piped up, Milky sent her a deadpan stare "Glad to know I can always count on you Selene."

As Soluna approached her parents, her eyes became more concerned "Were you able to get here okay?" Her voice was shushed so as to not alert her kids, who were thankfully preoccupied talking to their father.

"Cloudy was getting unstable, we got Milky to help push him by saying it was a flying exercise." Marco answered honestly. Star's smile became more somber than she'd wanted to show "We taught Milky as many spells as we could in two hours, namely the more difficult ones that need a more hands on approach to learning…we also told her about Meteora…"

"…ah…" Soluna didn't really know how to respond to that "Well…I guess now is as good a time as any to tell her…What made it come up?" Star wordlessly pointed to her wrinkly hearts, Soluna nodded understanding.

Marco discreetly turned away to hide a small cough, not discreetly enough it seemed since his daughter still noticed it "Dad-" "It's fine, I just need a glass of water." Marco waved it off like nothing.

"…How about you two stay for dinner while you're here." The pink haired queen offered, her mother smiled kindly "Sounds great."

OXOXOXOX

Dinner had been fun, it had been just the seven of them at the table talking over each other and telling personal stories that mostly seemed to be at Dev's or Marco's expense. Time had gone by in a flash and it was already time for the elderly couple to take their leave, Soluna ended up walking with them until they were at the edge of the castle grounds.

"…You don't have to leave you know…" the current queen hesitated "You can stay the night…" there was an underlying fear in her voice, while most would be unable to notice her parents had picked it up right away.

"Soluna…it will be alright." Though aged, her mother's voice was as comforting as it was when she was young. Past and current rulers of the country locked eyes, the pink haired woman felt the need to burn those faces into her memory "…Do you have to go?"

Her father nodded "We wish we didn't have to…we'd love nothing more than to stay with you all."

Star and Marco pulled their daughter into a hug, proud of the strong lady she has grown up to be. Soluna hugged back, only reluctantly letting go when she knew she had to "Love you mom, love you dad."

The couple smiled "We love you too sweetheart, always." They spoke in unison. The elderly duo began to depart, glancing back at their only child as they began their walk home.

OXOXOXOX

The stars lit up the evening sky as Star and Marco took the scenic route home. They had insisted to their daughter and son-in-law that they did not need a ride back, after all who would want to miss all of the wonderful sights they passed by.

What once was two worlds smushed together, had woven into one world all it's own over time. It all blended seamlessly together that no one could imagine it any other way now. It wasn't just the setting that had become unified, it's people had too. Humans, humans of Mewni descent, monsters, Pony Heads, demons, waterfolk, even people who had come from other dimensions were now living together in what the former rulers felt was the closest thing to peace there will ever be.

It's not all perfect, there are still people who don't get along, crime and potential threats of evil still exist. But that's normal, everywhere has conflict, and the next generation of magic users and heroes would be here to save the day like they once had.

Engrossed in the sights, neither Star or Marco had realized they had reached their destination until they stood on their own doorstep. The couple went inside and went straight to their bedroom, holding hands the whole way there.

"Star?" The faded blonde looked to her husband "…you feel it too right?" Marco didn't sound scared, just…nervous. Star moved his hand up to her cheek, placing it upon her wrinkled heart "Yeah…my body can't keep up with the magic much longer either."

It had started slowly, their magic would falter and discomfort them. Star and Marco had initially believed it was their magic that was failing…only to discover it was their bodies that were failing.

'You're physical bodies have taken several heavy tolls in your youth. Your magic is too strong for them to carry for much longer…I am sorry, but the time is near.' A message from the Blood Moon spirit broke the news to them months earlier. Thankfully it wasn't painful most of the time, in fact very few knew about their condition at all. Star and Marco had insisted that their grandkids not be told, they wanted the kids' last memories of them to be happy ones, unlike the sad memories they kept of the final moments of some close to them.

Leaning in closer, Marco brought his wife into a kiss. Their kisses had never lost their own magic, even with old lips the sensation was the same as when they were fifteen. The pink hearts and red moons lit up softly, flashing on and off rather than a steady glow.

Pulling apart, the couple laid down on their bed side by side, holding their hands together as tightly as possible. The marks continued to flash as they stared into each other's eyes, filled to the brim with love for each other.

"I love you Marco."

"I love you Star."

Two sets of eyes slowly closed, the magic on their faces flashed slower and slower…before stopping completely.

Star and Marco had died.

OXOXOXOX

The bright light that the couple had found themselves in began to fade away, leaving the two in an unfamiliar location. The sky was perpetually filled with the sight of the infinite cosmos deep in space, on the ground was a never ending field of unusual red and black flowers.

Star and Marco sat upright, their hands still intertwined, and looked to each other with a gasp of surprise "Marco! You're so-so young!" "Star…you are too!" Although they had died in their late seventies, both of them appeared as they were at sixteen. Like their previous encounter with this world they wore simple white clothing, a dress for Star, shirt and pants for Marco, with the addition of their wedding rings sparkling on their fingers.

"Welcome Star and Marco, to the spirit world!" A gravelly voice announced behind them. The couple stood up and turned around to find Alphonse the Worthy smiling proudly at them. Behind him stood Father Time and the Blood Moon spirit, each bearing similar expressions. Lastly there was Hank the Dragcorn, looking happy to see their creators once again.

Momentarily stunned, Star and Marco approached the various spirits "It's good to see you all again." Marco waved shyly, petting Hank's mane when they approached him. The blonde was still taking in her surroundings in wonder "This place looks a lot different than the last time we were here." She recalled the empty black space they had woken up in after beating Ragnarok.

"That place be basically the waiting room, this here's the real deal." Alphonse explained "Specifically we be in Blood Moon's space, every spirit has their own abode."

"I live in a hamster wheel!" Father Time helpfully reminded them.

While Star took a turn petting the Dragcorn, Marco stepped up to speak next "That explains the where, now what about the why? Why are we teenagers again?"

Blood Moon shrugged as she floated closer "You were chosen to be the spirits of magic when you were sixteen, so that's your default appearance here."

"Awesome! Now I don't have any old lady pains anymore!" Star stretched her arms and legs out, glad to have back the energy she had in her prime. She gripped her husband by the shoulders and bounced in place "Marco, I have missed being able to run and jump so much!" Star gasped, shaking him "Oh my GOSH WE CAN DANCE AGAIN!"

Marco couldn't help but let out a laugh, more than his mobility he had missed his wife's overactive enthusiasm that had diminished in their old age "Yep, we can dance again. But let's save that until later, I get the feeling we still have more to cover? Right Alphonse?"

The spirit of navigation nodded "Aye, now that ye have formally taken up the mantles of the spirits of magic there are responsibilities ye must uphold." Reaching into his jacket, Alphonse pulled out a small scroll and handed it to the new spirits.

Reading it over, Star and Marco found it to be a small list written by whatever force chose them for this position. There wasn't much in terms of duties, it essentially boiled down to protecting the magic they created and keeping it out of the wrong hands "Not anything we didn't already know, is that really all?" Star asked the captain.

Alphonse nodded, but Father Time answered "Yeah you get practically one job, but as long as you get it done you can do anything else you want! My furry friends are pulling the wheel for me right now and that gives me the free time to try out all the mud in my domain!"

"Another way to put it is your duty is all that is required, but anything else you wish to do with your post is encouraged." Blood Moon clarified "Bonding souls is something I took up on my own, in addition to sorting souls and sending them to their designated afterlife and sometimes reincarnating them as my main purpose is." the lady clad in red became more somber before she spoke again "Relating to which, I must apologize yet again that the two of you didn't have more time to live. Even with my intervention I could not extend your mortal lives any further with the strain from your boundless magic."

"Hey, I'm just glad we got a little more than sixty years then we should have." Marco thanked the spirit, grateful that he and Star were able to live the life they wanted before ascending to spirithood.

Noticing his wife wasn't paying attention, Marco looked to find her deep in thought "Star?" "So we can make our own rules for what we do...I think I have an idea for something I'd like to do." Star informed everyone around her. As another idea came into place, she had one last question to test how feasible it could be "Alphonse, how much are we able to interact with the living world?"

"It varies from spirit to spirit. Father Time manifests himself completely and allows mortals into his dimension. But I can only speak through the portrait, and Blood Moon...well ye know…" Alphonse explained, looking over the couple and trying to assess the limit of their abilities "Being spirits of magic, ye can already travel to the mortal plane as part of the duties. But ye might not be able to be perceived by anyone without a powerful connection to the Magic."

Marco turned to Star quizzically "Mind letting me in on this idea of yours?"

"In due time Marco, in due time." Star said cryptically "...because I haven't figured out all of the details myself yet."

Clearing her throat, the couple's attention was drawn to Blood Moon who was avoiding eye contact shyly "While we are on the subject of visiting the mortal realm...I do have...well I sort of-" "She made a gift for you!" Father Time interrupted happily.

Blood Moon blushed and her face became as red as the rest of her "It's not a big deal but...I just thought you should wear something a bit more elegant when you're on duty." Casting a ray of red light onto Star and Marco, their white clothes shifted into new outfits "I based them after the clothes you wore when I first saw you at the ball...but with some modifications to fit your status as magic spirits."

Star kept her hair down in its usual style with her horned headband, rather than the updo she bore in the original dress. The pink heart at the top moved from her shoulder to the center of her neck as the top tied itself there. Her white gloves lost the rim at the top and instead gained a red ribbon around the wrists and her wedding ring on her finger. The bottom part of her waist bow extended a little past the edge of the dress, with a new layer of translucent pink frills on the top layer of the skirt. The hearts were now pink and moved to the bottom of the dress, with a white line at the end of the fabric, a trail reached the back to just below her knees. Her boots became a V-shape at the top and only retained a single bow on each while the heart on the foot was moved to the tip of the toe. Lastly there was a Red Moon Jewel on the chest with short white ribbons underneath, and her small magenta wings grew in size to be fully visible and shorter versions of the first mewberty wings.

Marco's attire lacked the sombrero and mask he wore with the original suit. Golden trim lined his wrists and the cuffs of his pants to match the trim at the bottom of the jacket. His wedding ring now on his finger and small red heart cufflinks matched with hearts of the same size on the sides of his shoes. The white shirt lost it's buttons and now extended slightly below the belt, which now bore a pink heart in the center of the buckle. His tie was changed to a shorter, ruffled one with a red moon jewel at the top, and his collar now bore a resemblence to his knight cape with a similar red cape flowing down his back.

Star and Marco looked over their new outfits, nodding in approval "Oh we look good!" Star fluttered her enlarged wings, lifting off of the ground with ease "How come you get to fly?" Marco uttered quietly, flapping his cape around in hopes it would give him flight as well. Hank nudged their co-creators' side, motioning for Marco to get on it's back.

Marco took the invitation and mounted the dragcorn, flying up into the sky beside the love of his life "This is going to take some getting used to." Marco admitted, Star didn't seem worried in the slightest "Yeah, but we'll figure it out."

OXOXOXOX

It was strange to say the least, watching your own funeral. There were only about three people here that could possibly see them, and still Star and Marco hid out of everyone's sight just in case. It was hard to watch their friends and family grieve for them, without a doubt Mariposa was hit the hardest by the loss of the other most important person in her life. Marco resisted the urge to go over and hug her, knowing she wouldn't be able to feel him anyway.

"It's weird...but I think our tombstone looks cute." Star attempted to lighten the mood, glancing at the heart shaped stone resting on their joint grave. Engraved upon the rock was an abridged version of their love story, so future generations will always know about the love so powerful it merged worlds.

Marco cracked a small smile "Heh, that sounds like something Janna would say."

Once the main funeral was finished, the spirits waited until they could see their daughter on her own. It was two more hours until Soluna stepped away from the crowd and took some time to herself in the garden of the castle. The current queen wiped her tears away with a handkerchief, her eyes blurry from crying all day that she didn't notice when her marks lit up.

Approaching their daughter, Marco cleared his throat to get her attention. Soluna looked up and blinked her eyes a couple of times, unable to believe she was seeing teenage versions of her mom and dad standing in front of her "Hey Soluna…" Star shakily greeted her stunned daughter.

"Mom...Dad…" she wasn't seeing things, those were really her parents right before her "...you know, I should have expected you two to do something like this." Soluna could now add 'appearing from beyond the grave' to the list of impossible things her parents managed to do.

Star and Marco sat on opposite sides next to their little girl, well...not so little anymore since she was now taller than both of them "Is this the spirit stuff you two mentioned before?" "Yeah, we're the guardian spirits of magic now!" Star announced proudly "Doing all of the stuff Hank did and more!"

"So can anyone see you guys? Or is it just me?" Soluna wondered.

"That's part of the reason we came to see you." Marco told her "We worked some stuff around and we made a new change to the magic. First and most importantly, we are going to keep the tradition of cheek emblems and our powerful magic going but differently from before."

For the first time since they appeared, Soluna realized her own marks were glowing "You see that?" her mother booped her cheek "Boop." she couldn't resist "Our very presence is making your magic stronger, that's what makes you able to see us. We've implemented a new rule that we can freely interact with anyone bearing emblems, we wanted you to be the first to know since now you can call and talk to us whenever you want."

The pink-haired queen was still confused "So how is the cheek mark thing going to work now? Will Milky or Dev get some?"

Star left it to her husband to explain the new process, after all he was the one that worked out the kinks in her initial concept "They might, anyone can earn magic by dipping down and this is the next step afterwards now. We've decided to bestow cheek emblems and the ability to use Butterfly level magic to people who would perform an act of true love or heroism. It'll be very rare to get one though, it's impossible to earn it on purpose so you might wanna keep it a surprise for Milky and just gently nudge her on the right path."

"Yeah, that seems like a good idea." Soluna agreed, knowing her daughter's ego would make it harder to selflessly earn the cheek marks she craved "So...this means I can still talk to you guys whenever I want?"

"As long as we're not in the middle of something important, then yeah, anytime." Star wrapped her daughter in a hug, both parties were surprised that they could feel it. Although Star and Marco were slightly transparent and basically ghosts, they were still tangible to touch with magic. Marco also joined in on the hug, thanking whatever let him still have the ability to hold his only child.

Soluna's parents suddenly let go, their own marks flashing white "Well that didn't take long, someone is already about to earn their marks!" Star excitedly gasped. The pink haired queen smiled, understanding that they had to go "I'll call you guys later, good luck on the new job." Her parents kissed both sides of her cheeks before they waved goodbye "We love you honey, see you soon!" Marco called out as they vanished.

Now alone again, Soluna couldn't help but chuckle to herself "Not even death could stop those two from having adventures."

OXOXOXOX

In another part of the world, a tsunami raged on, ravaging the town situated on the edge of the beach that stood in its way. Almost everyone had evacuated already, except for two youths trapped in the line of...well not fire.

A boy about middle school age was using his magic to shield himself and his younger sister from the onslaught of wind and water around them. The boy's shield was beginning to buckle under the pressure, he couldn't maintain such a large shield for much longer. Gazing at his little sister, the boy made a swift decision...

The shield broke away and a smaller bubble shield wrapped around the young girl, leaving the boy to face nature's wrath on his own.

Appearing in an instant, Star and Marco hovered above the scene, standing on a platform created by the latter. The couple nodded to each other and cast their hands towards the boy, sending their magic into him.

Instead of being torn apart by the water, the boy found himself surrounded by a bright light. He looked up to see the spirits smiling down to him, the one with moons on his cheeks spoke "Congrats kid, you are the first one to achieve this new rank of magic." "As a sign of your heroism and bravery, we present you with these!" The one with hearts announced.

The boy's magic flared up and grey spirals were burned onto his cheeks. Touching his new marks in astonishment, the boy listened as the spirits finished "We'll answer your questions in a minute, but right now you've got something you need to do." Star reminded him.

The light faded away, leaving the now marked boy standing before his sister and glaring down the tsunami. He felt words come to his mind, he threw his hands up and recited them "Great Tortoise Shell Strike!"

Dozens of turquoise tortoise summons materialized from the magic, they flew in every direction breaking apart the waves before they could reach their maker and his sister. The boy skipped his sister up and tried another spell, creating a mix between a cloud and an eastern style dragon. The new spell greeted the two and took them high in the air, and away from the worst of the tsunami.

The little girl hugged her brother tight, he smiled at her before turning back to the spirits that were watching him proudly. This boy was just the first of many to inherit the powerful magic once monopolized by the Butterfly family, and with each and every one that came next assured Star and Marco that magic was in the right hands.
