A/N: It is noted that season four of MHA takes place during the months of October-November. So I thought having a chapter dedicated to Komei's birthday fit in so well.

Major fluff in this chapter :)

October 26 | 7:00 A.M

From Lex: Happy 16th Karin! 12:01 a.m

From Hikaru: HBD! :) 12:34 a.m

From Aunt Asuka: Happy Birthday my dear! Renji, Rosa and I sent a couple of things through the mail, so look out for something from us. 6:23 a.m

But her birthday was the most dreadful day of the year for the pinkette. To Komei, it wasn't even worth celebrating. October 26... reminded her of her parents.

Another year of celebrating life... without them...

Groggily, she reached for her cellular device laying on her night stand. Dinging notifications and the sound of vibrations stirred her awake.

All she wanted to do was sleep... It was Saturday after all, but unfortunately missing training sessions due to the school festival... They had previsional hero license training this morning.

Lovely.

Rolling out of bed, the pinkette lifelessly ventured to the washroom and turned on the shower as her arms began to tremble.

'It's just another day Komei...'

'Just another day-'

2:00 p.m | U.A Dorms

"Yoo hoo! You guys! Are ya one step closer to obtaining your licenses?!" Mina shouted jumping up from the couch as Komei, Todoroki, and Bakugou entered the building

The girl immediately sweat dropped noticing the trio's expressions with light cuts, scraps and bandages all over their faces. Well... on the bright side, at least they didn't have to deal with grade school kids this time around.

"I'm guessing it was a tough one..." Uraraka worriedly frowned

"Woah! Who ordered the huge package!?"

Everyone's heads turned to the dorm entrance to see Mineta and Kaminari freak out.

"Who's it for?" Ojiro neared around

From: Renji and Asuka Komei

To: The Birthday girl~

...

"The birthday girl?!" Kaminari and Mineta repeated eye balling the tag, before immediately shifting their attention to the only other Komei in the room making the girl stiffen up as Bakugou and Todoroki both turned to face her

"Who's-"

"KOMEI!" Mina bursted through the crowd of their classmates

"TODAY'S YOUR BIRTHDAY?!"

"What the... why didn't you tell me!?" The alien queen raged

"..."

All the stares and glares of her fellow classmates made the girl want to shrivel up in the corner.

"Because-"

"It's not that big of a deal..." Karin dropped her stuff on the ground, before shifting the box proceeding to pick it up as if it was nothing

"NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL?!"

"N-No you should open it!" Kaminari proclaimed, causing the pinkette to sigh. Well, there's no getting past them now

Coming to the conclusion realizing what age Komei was probably turning, (due to most of them being fifteen) Mina freaked.

"BUT IT'S YOUR SIXTEENTH BIRTHDAY!"

"And?" Komei blinked open an eye before peeling the packing tape off of the box

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN AND?"

"You know, sweet sixteen Komei!" Hagakure beamed

Unintentionally sending the invisible girl a piercing glare, Hagakure instantly shut up making the others turn to each other in question

As Komei opened the package, all the students peeked their heads over to see what's inside. Particularly Mina and Kaminari.

"Oh, wow! How cute!" Hagakure gushed noticing the pink and red sparkly tissue paper as Karin shuffled through the box. The first thing she found was a pink card with her name written on it, easily by a child.

Opening the envelope, it was a drawing of Karin, in her hero costume by her younger cousin Rosa. Analyzing the art, the girl cracked a smile.

"Wow, this takes me back-" Kaminari bent down before picking up the object he was referring to making Komei's eyes widen

"I think I had an All Might version of this when I was a kid-" He held the small Endeavor plushie in his hand before Karin, in embarrassment ripped it out of his grasp defensively catching everyone's attention... especially Todoroki's.

"G-Give m-me t-that!"

The endeavour plushie... was old tattered and raggedy. The girl as a small child would never leave the house without it.

The more they went through the package, the more items they found. Such as her favourite snacks, A photo with herself and her cousins consisting of Rosa, Hikaru, Alexis, Rin, Tsubaki and Tsubasa in a custom frame, new winter clothes and accessories due to the seasons changing soon.

"That's so sweet Komei! Your mom and dad sent you a bunch of your things!"

But that one sentence...

Made Komei's blood turn cold.

She loved her Aunt Asuka and Uncle Renji... but no way could they ever replace them...

'They're not my mom and dad...'

She wanted to say... but the words just wouldn't come out. Although, no one noticed her sense of unease except Shouto Todoroki himself.

"My parents died when I was just a kid... I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO HAVE THEM AROUND!"

What Hagakure just commented must've crushed her...

"Oh, I know! Let's throw you a party!" Mina ignored her discomfort

"With my party planning skills I can have everything done by six o'clock!"

"Just in time for the Hero JP Billboard Charts!" The Alien Queen gushed

'Oh yeah, I forgot that was today...'

At least something good would come out of this.

But that wasn't enough to change her mind.

"N-No..."

.

.

.

"No? Whaddaya mean no Komei?!" Mina huffed looking down at the girl making her very uncomfortable

"We just celebrated Kiri's birthday last week!" The girl pointed to the redhead sitting behind her

"Why didn't you say anything?"

Nothing get's past Mina Ashido that's for sure...

"I...just... don't want a p-party..." The girl shyly twiddled her fingers avoiding eye contact. It's sweet that they wanted to do this, but she hasn't celebrated a birthday since her parents death.

It... just wouldn't be right.

Lifting the box, she turned on her heel towards the elevator. She needed space. She needed to breathe. Clicking the button, the doors shut, and up she went to the third floor.

...

"Is it me, or she sounds a bit off today?" Ojiro questioned

"Bakugou!" Mina snapped, cranking her head around to the blonde who was aloofly sitting on the green sofa seemingly commanding the boy to do something

"Go talk to her!"

Calmly, Katsuki turned his head towards the shout. Knowing that the pinkette's family life was a bit of a touchy subject, he just let her be for the moment.

"What the fuck do you want me to do-" He leaned back

"Talk some sense into her would you?"

"If she doesn't want a party racoon eyes..." He stood up now hovering over the pink haired girl in intimidation

"Then respect it." He finished, matching eyes with the energetic girl who wasn't in the least bit backing down.

Rolling his eyes, he turned straight out of the common room. Mina watched as the boy walked off.

'Okay, maybe he did listen-' Kirishima watched from behind Mina

"Where else would Bakugou go? To find Komei you think?" Jirou walked up

"I mean, it is his girlfriends birthday... Of course he went to find her!" Hagakure gushed

...

"So let the party planning begin!"

3rd Floor | U.A Dormitories

To be quite frank, Bakugou himself was actually thoroughly surprised. Her birthday? He didn't know her birthday?! Well... now that you think about it, they've never really had conversations about small personal ordeals.

knock knock knock.

Hearing the slight harsh sound on the other side of the door, Komei stiffened up. She really didn't want to deal with anyone right now.

"..."

"It's me dummy-"

Letting out a sigh of relief that it wasn't Mina, Karin walked forward to her door hearing Katsuki's smooth voice before hesitating.

Was he here to check on her? Or here to blast her? One way or another if Komei were to ignore him, it wouldn't go very well-

But...

She didn't want to.

Karin enjoyed Katsuki's presence, ever since they were able to publicly show their affection.

So the verdict was...

Open the door.

And when she did, his burgundy eyes met hers instantly. As if he was looking for an answer to a question, that was never asked.

Yet.

After letting him in, she quickly turned back to the package she was unloading, taking things out and putting other belongings away.

Evading his Burgundy gaze, Komei kept her eyes locked down to the ground as she continued on with her task's as if Katsuki wasn't there. There was obvious tension in the room and the blonde and pinkette both felt it.

"Oi-"

Watching her nervous yet calmly put her clothes in her dresser, Komei pretended as if she didn't hear him continuing on with what she was doing.

She just didn't know what to say.

"Why didn't you fucking tell me?"

Ah, and there it was. The million dollar question.

'I hate my birthday, that's why Katsu-'

She wanted to say, but the words didn't come out.

"..."

"I-It didn't r-really come up in casual conversation..."

She evaded eye contact even further, trying to shuffle her drawer shut causing the blonde to twinge at her half witted remarks.

Okay, this was getting annoying.

Bakugou then grabbed her by the waist turning the girl swiftly around causing Komei to bump into his chest dropping whatever she had held in her hands.

"Cut the bull crap and look at me-"

His warm, forceful, yet soft hands held her body as she slowly brought her eyes upward to match his once again.

Her heart thumped in anxiety as silence swirled throughout her room. She never told him... did she?

"M-My mom and dad..."

Her throat felt like it was burning, her muscles tense, a migraine starting to form...

"They died. W-When I was a l-little kid..."

Speechless, Katsuki stared wide eyed, holding her in his arms as she watched his expression.

"So now that you understand why I don't like to celebrate it, I would appreciate it if you respected that..." She wiggled her body out of his hold

The pieces... started to line up in his brain.

'That's why...'

'That's the fucking reason why-'

'Neglected you...'

Wisps of his blonde bangs shadowed the boy's eye line as his arms began to angrily tremble. How dare they do such a horrible thing to a person.

...

"You..." He whispered

"You've been doing this for years..." Grabbing a hold of her arm, he pulled her back in. I guess she wasn't getting away that easily. Blinking against his chest, the girl gave in.

"I bet they would want you to be happy on your birthday, not mourn them-" He chastely whispered into her ear making her freeze before starting to pull away once again

Only this time, Katsuki didn't give her a chance to.

"Katsuki..."

"And so what? You're telling me your aunt and uncle never bought you a fucking cake? Your snot nosed cousin never pestered you?" He sneered

"No-" She immediately shot back

Even the blonde had to admit. He loved his birthday. A day all about him, where people would shower him in praise... and she's telling him she's never celebrated one in over ten years?!

"but they understood and respected why I don't like to."

Turning his attention towards something else scratching the back of his head, this was a difficult subject.

. . .

"You know, racoon face is probably going to do it for you anyways-"

Letting out a sigh, the girl took a seat on the edge of her bed before Katsuki decided to take the open seat next to her grabbing her hand.

"You're not in that environment anymore. You have people that want to celebrate with you. Another year of life you lived." He massaged the inside of her palm as Komei sat still in a pit of her anxiety.

"You're not alone."

Those three words... the pinkette felt as if electricity spiked through her entire body. All her life, Karin suppressed her feelings... her emotions... because of the relationship with her family. She never did a thing to disrespect, wanting them to acknowledge her.

Eyes beginning to slightly tear up, she forcefully gripped Katsuki's hand. The tension in her jaw was tight, silently trying to hold back her tears.

What a blessing it was to be at U.A. If she was never accepted, her life would be so much different. Just imagine.

Her quirk would still be uncontrollable. Her life at home would continue to be unstable. She wouldn't have met her amazing classmates, She probably would NEVER had the chance to meet and intern with her favourite pro heroes...

And Katsuki...

She would've never met the fiery headed blonde egotistical maniac... that became her boyfriend.

Yeah... boyfriend... That's right!

Katsuki slyly let out a smirk making her cheeks start to burn as he leaped backwards onto her bed grabbing the remote in the process, flicking on the tv.

"Whatever the fuck you want to do-"

Sensing her obvious uneasiness, the boy didn't decide to pry.

"Where's that fucking volley ball shit show-" He switched through the channels sharply turning his head over to her to her figure

"You like it, right?"

Nodding silently twisting her body around trying to rub the left over tears away, Komei watched surprised by his actions.

"Well, put it fucking on-" He tossed the remote in her direction and with the girls quick reflexes, caught it without thinking

What? What was he saying? Katsuki... wants to watch her show?

Willingly?

.

.

.

Together?

'Ohhhh'

Realizing his subtle intentions, her cheeks flushed a nice rosy colour before jumping onto the other side of the bed, cuddling into his arm as her inner thoughts began to take over.

'Katsuki's being a total boyfriend right now~' She beamed flushing even further

A smile slowly beginning to crack she snatched the remote out of her hand

"Time for season 3!" She sparkled

4 hours later | 6:00 P.M

"You're tellin' me, those clowns beat the fucking champs?!"

"Yep-"

The blonde haired boy quickly raged, springing up from the pile of pillows they were laying against, eyeballs glued to the television in shock

"NO THOSE IDIOT'S SHOULD'VE LOST!"

"Katsuki-" Karin let out a sigh

"That short ass orange haired shrimp, reminds me of that stupid bug..." The blonde growled creating small explosions popping from the palms of his hands as his temper began to spiral

"It's just a show-"

She was happy that he was so indulged in her favourite anime, wanting to watch it with her... but she didn't want him to explode over it.

"You know, you'd definitely be a part of Shiratorizawa-" She paused the show, getting up from her position on the bed rolling off of it, proceeding to sit on the floor in front of the tv next to her spazzed boyfriend.

Turning his head to the left, he shot her a confused 'what the fuck are you talking about'glare.

"The team of champs-" She motioned her hand to the small flat screen that was paused on the show, revealing the buff team captain

. . .

"And why the fuck is that?"

"Uhh, it's because your the best-" She replied nonchalantly with no hesitation in her voice causing his eyes to peak in interest

"Tch. Of course I am-" He boastfully mocked with a wave of his hand causing the girl to giggle

"And you're..." He scratched the back of his head bashfully

"One of the strongest too..."

Taken back by his compliment, all the girl could do was stare as an awkward pause of silence filled up the room causing Katsuki to bashfully evade her gaze.

"You..." Her eyes locked onto the carpet before looking back up to him

"Don't think I'm a weakling?"

Snapping his head over at her reply, were his ears playing tricks on him?

"Why the fuck would you think that?"

"B-Because I-I-"

"Your the strongest fucking chick in this god damn school-" He instantly cut her off leaving her even further bewildered

"R-Really?" She stuttered in astonishment

"Yeah-"

"Wow." The pinkette let out a gasp.

Katsuki might be her boyfriend, and yes, it is her birthday... but getting acknowledged by Katsuki Bakugou himself? The most prideful and strongest in class 1-A?

"Thanks Katsuki... I-"

"I really mean it." She smashed her lips on the left side of his cheek causing his ears to redden in surprise by the motion

"I hate today... but being with you... makes me feel...something. A happy something-" She fiddled with her fingers, her blush starting to burn further

Softly grabbing a hold of her chin Katsuki planted a solid kiss upon her vanilla tasting lips.

. . .

"Happy Birthday Pinky."

A/N: They are adorable. I can't xD For those who don't know, the anime Karin and Katsuki are watching is Haikyuu. ;) Katsuki is so soft when it comes to Karin. Love it.
