Rebecca's Point of View

I hopped up on the examiner bed and Carlisle started doing, um, doctory things. I wasn't really sure what he was doing, but he would poke, and prod, then nod his head sometimes. Or he might say 'hmm' and then nod his head. I wasn't sure what he was doing because I didn't have a medical degree and healing spells? The only one I knew was episky from fifth year after Malfoy kicked me in the face. The spell healed me, but I still had blood on my nose.

"Okay," Carlisle's smooth voice brought me back to the present as he started talking. "So, I did some tests and the children seem fine." That was a relief to hear, "they seem to be growing rapidly. Twice the speed of normal fetuses'. I think it will stop though mid second trimester, but I would have to run more tests to be sure." I immediately felt relived at his words, and then realized why. It was because who knows how long I would have them for if their growth was that quick. A month? two? We didn't even know if the children would be immortal or if they would grow old and die. At least if they aren't immortal, we'll have them for a lifespan. Which, if they did get some of my magical genes would be a few centuries.

"I'm going to get some more results from the tests I took in a long while. So, if you want to go and make up with my family you may." Oh! that just gave me tun's of ideas that I could do with the whole family back together. "okay, but if something blows up it's not my fault." He smiled taking my joke half-heartedly.

"Come on. I should probably show you the areas I know how to get to, but I'll probably only show you some stuff in the tower since that's where I've been spending a lot of my time." I hugged Aro and kissed him before he had to leave. Since, apparently, he had to go through some more court proceedings. He had been able to come because they had been on break.

Most of the Cullen's found an excuse to get out of going upstairs with me. Except for Bella, and I felt it was sweet. They obviously picked up on the fact I wanted to spend some time with Bella. Even Edward begrudgingly made a half backed somewhat plausible excuse, saying he would 'join us later.' they all left after that and with only me and Bella in the corridor now.

Though, I guessed there were at least one or two of the elite guard in area. I couldn't recognize it because of my inferior senses though. Yah know, some day I would have to create a vampire finding spell. there was already one for humans, but what if you needed to find vampires? There wasn't one, I checked. "well Bella come on this way. To the stairs!" and I started walking with Bella following close behind.

Bella's Point of View

I was walking with her to the stairs after Carlisle did some checkups. Walking through this castle was like a maze. I wondered if Rebecca ever got lost then stopped the thought. She probably didn't get lost. It was my guess that she had a wonderful sense of direction.

The first thing I noticed after seeing her for the fist time in weeks was the way she holds herself. It used to be an 'I don't care' way, but now it commanded respect and I hated it. Just what has Aro done to her? She seemed mostly the same on the outside. But was she alright on the inside? "So how was the last few weeks?" I said for conversation. I wasn't as afraid right now as I would be if there were vampires around me, so I managed not to stammer. "I'm great! I really feel at home here and despite the craziness of procreating with a vampire. I'm really excited to have kids."

I almost recoiled, how could she talk about demon spawn happily? The kids might try to kill me if I was next to them! How could she know they could be controlled? The idea of me having a baby with Edward on the other hand; I knew the kid would exercise control and they'd be smart and beautiful too. "How can you do this?" I asked she chuckled slightly, "play the pronoun game? Bells, if you want an answer, you'll have to be more specific."

She said it with her cheery demeanor, how can she be happy all the time? It was really starting to aggravate me "I mean have the kids! how do you know they can control themselves? They'll be raised by human drinkers! You weren't there when that tourist group died! please They could kill me! How do you know that they won't?" her face darkened slightly. "Bella, I just know deep in my heart, that they will be able to control their thirst. It just might take a while. Like with newborn vampires, they have to learn control. I feel the same will be true for my kids. They just have to learn and grow."

There was an awkward silence for a few minutes as we finished walking to the staircase. Rebecca's mood seemed dampened which told me she was probably thinking over what I had told her… When her face suddenly lightened up "well now were at the stairs. When we get up there, we can introduce you to my girls. Athenadora and Diyame, I usually call them Dora and Diana though. Oh!" her eyes lit up even more "you might even get to meet Corrin. she has a gift of contentment that she can't really help; but she's a good friend, and later we might go to the rec room where the guard relaxes after a long day. You could get to know Felix and Dimitri better. Oh, or Jane and Alec. I know you didn't meet them in the best of circumstances." she continued rambling on and on about all the people I would get to meet. When will it end!
