Towa (Ryusoulger)/Sena (Kiramager): I Know Now
I know now that I was born to love you for life... ~ Florence Joyce

It was initially a crazy thought ㅡ falling in love, that is. For Towa who might be a little playful but truly dedicated to his duty as a Ryusoulger, it was indeed crazy. But if that crazy thought would bring him closer to the one truth that had eluded him in his long life, then perhaps he wouldn't mind feeling a little crazy at the end of the day.
Towa was thinking of that as he arrived at the track field where he knew the person that caught his attention and now he wanted to share his affection to was currently at. He knew she was training there and he did made a promise to himself that he would visit that place as soon as he was free.
Well, that was a month ago. And it had been that long since he last watched that particular woman from afar.
It was all he could do, anyway. For a warrior with a long life like him, he couldn't do something as approach someone who he knew would become an important part of his heart. And yet he couldn't bring himself to completely get away from there. Why was that?
"Was that supposed to be a trick question?" Towa couldn't help uttering that as he continued watching a certain track and field star named Hayami Sena ran like the wind. Or should he say, as if she was flying right over the field? Okay. That might have been a really weird description to use. But even with that complaint, he couldn't help smiling.
"Towa!"
He was snapped out of his musings upon hearing that and his eyes opened wide as he saw Sena stopped running, standing near the finish line and waving her hands with a smile on her face ㅡ while looking towards the direction where he was standing at. He wasn't dreaming, was he? Did Sena really call him by his name? In the first place, how did she know his name? He didn't even approach her at all for her to be able to know that. Did someone tell her?
Before he could even think of an answer, Towa saw her running. This time, towards his direction.
"Okay. Maybe this isn't a dream, after all," he mumbled. There's only one way for me to know the answer, Towa added in his thoughts.
He took a deep breath and started going down from the bleachers to not let Sena go up there anymore and trouble herself. She must have seen him approaching so she stopped running just below the bleacher stand where he was at. It didn't take long before he reached the bottom and finally, on the field where Sena was waiting for her, her smile hadn't left her face at all.
"I knew you'd come here," Sena started as soon as he stopped just a few feet in front of her.
Of course, what she said only widened his eyes. He wasn't expecting that at all. What the heck is going on?
"Koh told me you'd be coming today. And... I've been expecting you to come and watch me run again for a month, anyway," she said, this time with a shy smile.
Worst that could happen? The sight of that had only made Towa's heart pound faster and he wasn't expecting that. Not long after, he frowned at something that Sena said as soon as her words finally registered in his mind. "You know Koh?"
She nodded. "He's acquianted with a friend of mine and he told me who you are when I asked him once about it. I actually kept this on my phone, and that was when he told me." Sena took out her phone and opened it. She showed the featured picture on the lockscreen to Towa that only surprised him even more at the sight of a photo of him, sitting on the bleachers and looking at the sky.
Towa still couldn't believe that this was happening. All this time, she knew he was watching her? And all this time, she was also doing the same thing? How could he have not known all that? It seemed that things kept on getting confusing for him the more this encounter would pass by.
It was Sena's laugh that snapped him out of his shock over how things unfolded in front of him at the moment. And it was that same laugh in which Towa came to a certain realization.
"I thought I'm only going to just watch you from afar again. I can't believe I get to talk to you right now." Well, he wasn't lying on that part.
"Honestly, I've always wanted to talk to you for a while now. But every time I would try, you seem to disappear all of a sudden. Like a wind that I've felt passed by and didn't appear again when I wanted it to."
Towa's heart at the moment felt like it was about to burst as one surprise after another seemed to keep assaulting him and his heart that tried to recover from the shock. Even with that, he felt as if he was flying. He never thought he'd feel this elated all because of a person.
"It seems like we've wasted too many chances all this time, huh?"
Sena nodded with a smile before taking a deep breath. "But I think it just provided an opportunity for us, don't you think?"
"What do you mean?" Towa asked with a frown.
"It gave us the opportunity to learn the truth about what we... feel. It made us desire to know each other more. Or maybe 'desire' was such a strong word to use."
This time, it was Towa who couldn't help smiling at the sight of the slightly flustered Sena. It was quite a sight to see, if he were going to be honest. He still couldn't believe he got to have this chance to actually see Sena like this.
"I know what you mean," was all that he said.
Sena just smiled and sighed in relief before stretching out her hand towards him that made him confused.
"I'm Hayami Sena. Nice to meet you."
It didn't take long for him to reach out and take her hand ― something that he never realized would assault him with so many sensations he never thought he'd feel just by the touch of Sena's hand. Definitely something unexpected, but also something he loved feeling, especially since Sena was the reason for him to feel it for the first time in his long life as a Ryusoul Tribe member.
"Towa. It's nice to meet you, too."
They might be simple words, an exchange of introduction as part of a proper greeting for two people who met and got to talk properly for the first time. But to Towa, it was more than what he asked for. Perhaps he had to thank Koh later when he got back and meet the other Ryusoulgers, especially his older brother.
"So? Where did you go this time for you not to show up here for over a month?"
Towa could've laugh at the hint of demand on Sena's voice when she asked that question. But it was weird for him to feel that he was okay with it. Then again, this was Sena. He wouldn't mind that demanding tone, as long as it won't reach the point of being irritating. It wouldn't come to something like that, right?
"I had to take care of a personal business." And both of them decided to sit on the ground, just on the side of the track so they wouldn't hinder any running practice before he told her his reasons.
At that point, it still hadn't occured to him. He knew it was a start of something good for him and Sena. And yet, he still hadn't realized the fact that he would be sure of one thing one day.
Sena held the reason for living that he had been looking for all this time. His lifespan might be a little longer than hers, but even his long life haven't provided that much reason to him.
Now he knew why. He just needed to find Sena and eventually realize all of that.

This has been a long time request to me and I only got to actually write something about this crossover pair now. I don't know when will the Kiramager/Ryusoulger crossover movie will be shown since I wasn't updated with anything Sentai these past months. But you can say that I want to dedicate this to the VS movie. By the way, I still haven't finished watching Kiramager so I'm not sure if I actually got Sena's characteristics right.
Even so, I'd be happy if you enjoyed reading this! Till next time!
