This is based on the episode: Good Ol Ed. Like the original episode, this chapter has callbacks to previous LH episodes and chapters. I'll probably go back and review my favorite chapters. And I love it when shows reminisce about their past events so this was pretty enjoyable to write. Hope you enjoy it as well.
Lola is looking in her mirror, as she adds lipstick to her lips. Suddenly, Leni burst through the door. Lola turned around.
"Leni! Can't you see it's my princess makeover time?"
"So then-" Leni grabbed Lola's lipstick and placed it in a pile of odd items. "-You won't want to forget to remember this! Oh-" She reached out from under Lola's bed. "-look, it's Mr. Sprinkles!" She pulled out the stuffed teddy bear.
"Oh, and you'll need to take this back!" A teapot is thrown onto the pile. "And this-" A toy box. "-recollect this! And this! Oh, and who would want to forget this?"
"Leni!" Lola grabbed onto the things Leni is towing away. "What the heck are you doing? Gimme back my stuff!"
Leni headed to the backyard, where all the other siblings were gathered. They were next to a suitcase and a hole. Lola noticed the suitcase. "Place memories here?"
Lincoln was carrying a box. "There you are, Lola! Fashionably late, I see."
"Late? Late for what?"
"Our time capsule, Lola." Lisa reminded her. "Remember? We were to gather a few of our poignant possessions and bury them in a go-no-further location! Then re-excavate our said capsule as grown-ups and reminisce on our yesterdays with a smile. Does anyone recognize this?" Lisa held out a squirt gun. "It's the squirt gun we used to cure the family from the flu." (One Flu Over the Loud House)
Lynn grabbed it. "Oh yeah! I remember this thing!"
"Funny it was! As though it were only the first season!" Leni commented.
Lynn squirted Lucy with chicken soup.
"There was still chicken soup left in that?" Lucy said surprised. Lynn squirted Lisa, and the sibling's laughed.
"Ha ha ha, very humorous." Lisa said as she wiped the soup off her glasses. "How about this tablet of memories?"
Lisa held up the Hypnotizing Wheel. (Look into my Louds)
"The Hypnotizing Wheel!" The twins exclaimed in unison. Lola kicked it out of Lisa's hand.
"Can't you guys just ask for something like normal human beings?" Lisa said annoyed as she rubbed her fingers.
"Remember when we hypnotized Lynn into thinking she was a dog?" Lola said.
"I still can't believe you did that." Lynn said.
"And you kept biting my butt!" Lana said. Lola, in imitation, clamped her teeth on Lana's rump. "YOW!"
The siblings laughed. Lisa had a dog collar on and did an imitation of Lynn hypnotized. "Look at my antics. I'm Lynn the canine. Arf Arf Arf."
Lisa licked Lana and the other siblings chuckled at this. Mr. Grouse came over as he seemed to be in a good mood.
"Hey Louds, um-" The elderly man took note of the awkward scene: Lisa is licking Lana while Lola is biting Lana's butt.
"-what's up?" He decided not to pursue it. "Um, nevermind." He walked away.
Lisa got embarrassed. "I wonder what Mr. Grouse will remember of us in the future."
"That you looked like an idiot." Lola commented.
"So did you." Lisa retorted. Lincoln laughed.
"See? Revisiting our past days can be fun, Lola!"
"What else you got in there?" Lola asked, tossing the Hypnotizing Wheel back in.
"Remember me?" Luan was wearing a familiar fox costume. (The Crying Dame)
"Fa fa!" Lily said excitedly. Luan did the fox dance with Lily, singing that annoying song.
Cheer up, baby, don't you cry
No more tears, it's cheer up time
Laugh with me and we will be
Happy, happy, happy!
The siblings had to admit it was a cute scene.
"Good times, huh guys?" Lola said. Then Lisa searched through the suitcase and took out a remote.
"Anyone recall this?"
"I don't know, Lis. You've got a lot of remotes." Luna pointed out.
"This remote control was from that time machine." Lisa stated.
"Time machine?" Lincoln questioned. "You mean that one that could only send you to prehistoric times and back to the present?"
"Precisely."
"Hmm. I don't remember that." Lori said.
"That's because I only presented it to Lincoln and his two friends before it was destroyed. Zach and Rusty were at rapt attention, while I explained…"
Lisa remembered the time machine. In the memory, Zach and Rusty are cowering in a time machine while the toddler explains something on a blackboard.
"Are you sure about this, Lisa?" Rusty asked.
"Most assuredly, Rusty." Lisa said. "Neither I nor science have found any correlation between time travel and frizzy, flyaway hair."
"Are you done yammering?" Lincoln said impatiently. Lisa closed the hatch and turned a dial.
"Prepare to incredibly transverse to the Triassic period of yesteryear!"
"This is gonna rock!" Zach said excitedly.
The machine glowed and the boys were sent back through time. The three boys hold on to each other. Suddenly, the machine appeared in a prehistoric forest and the boys settled.
"I think we're here, guys." Lincoln said. He pushed the door open and he and Zach wandered into the Triassic. A pterodactyl flew past.
"PTERODACTYL!" A frightened Rusty ducked back into the machine. Zach dragged him out.
"C'mon, Rusty! We can't get hurt, 'cause we weren't even born yet!" Zach assured.
"Well, I don't know about that." Lincoln said. "But let's stick together."
The group walked off. They peek behind some bushes and see three dinosaurs eating. Luckily, the dinosaurs didn't notice the kids.
"Okay, be very quiet." Lincoln whispered.
"Wow! Triceratops! I've gotta take a picture of this!" Zach whispered back as took out his phone.
"Zach, no!" Rusty and Lincoln warned, but it was too late. Zach took a picture, making a flash sound loud enough for the three triceratops to hear. They glared at the boys.
"Uh-oh." Lincoln said worried.
"RUN!" Rusty yelled and the three boys ran away. The dinosaurs gave chase.
"Quick! Into the time machine!" Lincoln ordered. The boys ran into the machine and Lincoln set the dial back to present. Luckily, the machine vanished as the dinosaurs were about to crush them. The machine traveled forward through time and back to Lisa's room. Lincoln and his friends got out and sighed in relief.
"Gentleman, how was the past?" Lisa asked.
"Awesome!" Zach commented.
"More like awesomely terrifying!" Rusty added.
Suddenly, the machine malfunctioned and broke down.
"No! My invention!" Lisa exclaimed in shock. "Damaged! Destroyed!"
"I think it's for the best, Lisa." Lincoln said calmly after the experience he just had.
Lisa laughed, bringing us back to the present.
"Oh and the funny part of it was: the tyrannosaurus actually lived in the Cretaceous period. Not the Triassic period!" Lisa chuckled. "Oh, good times, huh, sibling units?"
"We weren't even there, so we don't know what you're talking about." Lana said.
"Well, Lincoln was there."
"Oh hey, I remember this!" Lola was carrying a jug.
"Me too!" Leni said.
"That looks familiar." Lori said.
"It's from when you had the hiccups, Lori?" Lola reminded her. "Remember? Let me jug your memory."
The pageant girl flashed back. Lori, Leni, and Lola are watching TV. Lori kept hiccuping.
"Lori, why do you keep making that weird sound?" Leni asked.
"I've got the-" Lori hiccuped again. "-hiccups."
Lola laughed. Lori ran to the kitchen.
"C'mere, I'll get rid of em." Lola said.
Lola followed her sister to the kitchen. Lori blew into a paper bag. She hiccuped and groaned. She blew in again as Lola got out a pin. Lori hiccuped again and groaned in frustration. She blew again and Lola popped the bag with the pin. Lori went flying into a pantry.
"There, they're gone!"
"Hiccups have left the building, Lola!" Leni said. But Lori hiccuped again.
"Strong hiccups." Lola commented. Leni dragged Lori over.
"Quick, Lola, do something! Lori is going to-" Lori hiccups. "-explode!"
The dumb blonde threw Lola on top of Lori and sat on both of them, fingers in her ears.
"Leni, this isn't gonna get rid of the hiccups!" Lola said. A hiccup threw them both off.
"Water! I need water!" Lori ran to the sink and poured a glass. Before she can drink, she hiccuped, soaking herself. Lori got another glass, hiccuped again, spilled again.
"You're doing it all wrong, you're supposed to drink it upside down." Lola assured. Lori stood upside down on her hands. Lola poured a jug full of water into her. Lori hiccuped again and swallowed the jug.
"Let's scare 'em, Lola." Leni peeled her older sister's mouth open and shouted inside. "I AM A ZOMBIE AND I WILL MALICE YOU WITH A SHOEHORN!"
Lori hiccuped, and was stupefied from what Leni just said. "Malice me with a shoehorn?!" Lori hiccuped twice and landed headfirst into the floor with the rest of her body sticking out vertically. Lola laughed, bringing them back to the present.
"Hiccups? Me?" Lori questioned.
"It lasted for two days!" Lola pointed out.
"I'm sure I would have remembered what sounds come out of my body, Lola."
"I just remembered something I forgot!" Lana said as she searched the suitcase. She found the "perfect" picture Lincoln didn't give to the parents on their anniversary. (Picture Perfect) "Nope."
Next, she got out Lisa's lie detecting glasses. (House Of Lies) "Not it."
Then she pulled out the Lulu wig. (Really Loud Music)
"I'll take that." Lola took the wig back.
Lana held out a spatula. "Here it is! A flipper."
"That's a spatula, Lana." Lincoln corrected her.
"There's nothing special about that." Lynn said.
"Are you kidding me?" Lana said. "It makes a great back scratcher." Lana used it to scratch her back.
"And it's the flipper Lincoln used to make omelettes." Leni mentioned. (Who, What, Where, Loud)
"It's a spatula, Leni." Luan said.
"It also reminds me of when we made that giant pancake." Lana drooled at the memory. "Yum."
The plumber remembered the pancake incident. Outside of Lynn's Table, Lynn Sr. is mixing a giant bowl of batter above the restaurant. The parking lot is covered in grease, and it is going to be a frying pan.
"Hey, I could use a few hands over here!" Lynn Sr. called to his kids. Lynn, Lana, Luna, and Lori went over. Lana slid on the grease. "Griddle greased up, Rita?"
"Cooking oil in place, Lynn."
"Sweet! Get an agent, guys, 'cause we're gonna make the world's biggest pancake!"
"Wow!" Lincoln exclaimed. "We should put this in the book of world records!"
"I thought this giant pancake idea would fall FLAT!" Luan joked.
"Okay kids, on the count of three, we pour!" Lynn Sr. instructed. "One, two, three!"
The chef and four of the kids started to tip the batter. The other Louds watch, but then hear the joys of customers playing.
"Excuse me father." Lisa warned. "Everyone seems to have mistaken our griddle for a skating rink."
Kids are seen skating on the oil. Luna, Lori, Lynn and Lana continue to tip the batter.
"Hey, you kids!" Lynn Sr. yelled out. "This is not a skating rink!"
The batter reached the tipping point.
"Kids, wait!" Rita yelled. But it was too late as the batter began to slosh out.
"Holy mackerel!" Chaz exclaimed. "Tidal wave!"
The batter landed and covered the oil. The kids are crushed beneath it. The Louds watch in awe.
"Oh man! What in heaven's name have you guys done?!" Lynn Sr. said in shock.
"We're gonna get sued for sure!" Rita said worriedly.
Then Lynn Sr. raised his spatula. "Fear not, people, as I have a spatula!"
The pancake finished cooking. Lana drooled at the sight. "I know this is a bad time but I've gotta have a bite."
Lana teared off a bit of the pancake and ate it. She finished the food and pulled out a pair of shorts out of her mouth.
"I won a prize!"
"Lana, you pig!" Lola said in disgust.
"Lana! Don't touch the pancake!" Lynn Sr. scolded. He lifted one end of the breakfast with his spatula.
"LOUD!" It turned out Mr. Grouse was under there too, and he and the other citizens weren't happy.
Lynn Sr. looked nervous. "Sorry everyone."
We come back to the present. "Ah, the good ol' days." Lana said.
The other siblings looked at Lana confused.
"We never made any giant pancake!" Lola said.
"Did too!" Lana objected. "Proof: a flipper!"
Lola, angry, attacked her twin sister.
"Ladies, please." Lisa said as the twins fought. "This project was meant as a commemoration of friendship, a retrospective of days gone by."
Lola grabbed Lana's overalls. "Admit it, you made that up!"
"WAIT!" Leni yelled, catching everyone's attention. "Now I remember as though it were yesterday."
Leni flashed back to the beginning of the chapter, at the scene where Lola is staring at the suitcase. Once again, we see Lincoln entering with the same box he was holding from the start.
"Well, hello, Lola! Fashionably late as usual!"
"Late? Late for what?"
Lincoln put some items in the suitcase.
"Our time capsule, Lola. Remember?" Lisa mentioned. "We were to gather a few of our poignant possessions–"
"LENI!" Lola interrupted the flashback. "That was earlier today!"
"Oh, right."
"Hey, remember when we all dressed up as each other?" Luna mentioned. (Cover Girls)
"No more remembering!" Lola snapped and chased after Luna.
"Remember when we spent Christmas with Mr. Grouse?" Lucy said. (11 Louds a Leapin)
"Quit breaking up the past!" Lola chased after Lucy.
"Remember when we sold the furniture?" Lori brought up. (Come Sale Away)
"Enough!" Lola went after her.
Luan thought of a memory. "Oh, how about the time-"
"Shut up!"
"Ah, good times, huh guys?" Lincoln said nostalgically.
The next chapter will be the last one. I intended to end this series a little earlier. I know there are other good episodes I didn't get to, but I wasn't planning on doing every single episode. As for the final chapter, you'll have to guess what it is unless you already know.
