Cutting off the head of the snake

Chapter 50

"And you think that Director Leon Vance will hold him back with his own candidate?" Doc said with the question.

"Yeah, he will Doc. Anything to annoy me and raise my temper. I have been through just too much lately and I can't afford to go through any more without having to lose Loriele on top of it?"

"You're finally realizing that she is very important to you, Leroy Jethro Gibbs?" she hit the jackpot with the importance of the question.

"I always have a doctor. It was always my job that had gotten in the way of it. And now I need to make the changes in my life by taking upon Vance's offer to become a teacher at the academy and gun range part-time. While on occasions to work the OFF THE BOOKS operations for him and SECNAV."

"And you think that doing this will make the both of you happy?"

"Good question Doc. I won't know until I actually try it? I do know it's not going to be easy to make the change since I hate change. In order to make us happy I need to push myself into the position and make Vance happy as well that he's gotten a trouble maker like myself out of the position." he croaked out.

"I will like to say something Jethro. A lot of people knew you were an agent always crossing the line at times. And Jack Sloane knew this as with many others and including Loreile. And why she fell in love with you in the first place." she smirks.

"I knew that and so much more for when it comes to Lt. Loreile Ann Baskins." he cried out with his emotional response.

"Along with knowing too much at times with her security clearance at the top level for the government."

"I guess I can say that you're very proud of her with the achievements?" She commented by looking down at her notes.

"I certainly have been Doctor CONFALONE and why I love the woman a great deal. She always tells me what is on her mind. She does hold back unlike Diane and all of the others." Gibbs needed to say.

"Now that is funny. Because you had told me that two of your ex-wives had gone to the point of hitting you over the head?" she chuckled slightly with her words to the patient smiling while shaking his head.

"They sure did and why I divorced them while I was obsessed in my work for NCIS Doc! I knew that Ducky was pissed at me for pushing Stephanie away afterward," he said with anger in his tone and body demeanor.

"I am truly sorry about it Jethro. But now years later your altitude had changed drastically?" she needed to say.

"It has in some ways thanks to you with the sessions over the years Doc?" Gibbs will say to her with pride in his heart.

She blushed slightly. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

"Doc I have a question for you about your husband David. Do you think that he made the right decision 28 years ago with having the first child?" he asks.

"Of course we did Jethro. And the same with our second with both being boys until finally two years afterward with a girl. Even though she only weighed five pounds one ounce."

"I just hope to god that our son Shane when he's born will be weighing a normal weight? Loreile is always worrying about that and other items." He responded...

"Mostly about your health Gibbs?" she played coy with him on the question.

"Yes," he says.

"Sometimes there are times that my wife likes to choke me on those issues. I need the freedom from always watched in my movements. I never liked that as with for when it comes to communications." he suggested with telling the doctor that he seems to be angry about his hands being tied.

"Tell her or get out Gibbs? You can' thave a marriage on lies, or having both sides trying to control each other?" she was being honest on the subject.
