WARNING: This chapter has mentions of suicide. If you get easily triggered by that sort of thing, I recommend you stop reading now. This is where the story is going to take an even darker turn.

"Tendo!" the boy roared. "What have I told you about torturing your sniveling underlings?"

"Sorry, kid," Tendo said, although he didn't sound sorry whatsoever. He narrowed his eyes. "They were basically begging for it."

"I understand, but I need them to be sane." The boy kicked Tendo in the face. "And when you torture them, the insanity caused by your quirk tends to stick."

Tendo scoffed. He wiped his bleeding lip with his bandaged thumb. "Maybe for a little bit, but never for too long."

The boy's lip curled. "Whatever. Clean yourself up, you miserable excuse for a man."

Tendo hissed. The boy couldn't tell if it was to taunt him or because Tendo was actually a strange boy. He rolled his eyes.

"Boss?" a voice said down the hall.

"Ah, Sekimukai," the boy greeted. "Please, take your shoes off. We may be villains," the boy cringed at the word, "but we aren't barbarians."

The spiky haired boy took off his tennis shoes and walked inside the room. "Sho says hi."

"You saw him?" the boy asked hastily. "What did he say? What did he look like? What's going on with him?" Tendo snorted. The boy glared at him. "Would you like to share with the class?"

"Oh, nothing," Tendo said nonchalantly. "I just don't understand why you're so obsessed with that short, skinny kid."

"I'm not," the boy lied. He turned back to Sekimukai. "So what did he say?"

Sekimukai shrugged. "He's interning with Deku 'cause he goes to UA." He grinned. "He's even in this city right now. You could get to him."

The boy seemed to consider the proposition. "No, I can't," he decided eventually. "Sho isn't ready for me yet. Or what I've become."

Throughout their internship, Hinata and Kageyama had been doing different things for the Deku agency. Since they were the only interns, they helped with chores around the agency building: running errands, delivering files, even taking out the trash. At three o'clock, however, they would go out on patrol with Deku. It was the main thing that they all looked forward to. Deku had the chance to be a mentor, and Hinata and Kageyama got a chance to watch Deku in action.

In Yamaguchi's internship, he met many new people. They all helped out with his training, even if some of them were his age. He wasn't able to see Tsukishima until late at night, but the time that they spent together was cherished.

Tsukishima's internship wasn't as sweet or welcoming as Yamaguchi's, however. The standoffish behavior of Shoto seemed to have rubbed off on his sidekicks. They only talked to Tsukishima if they needed him to do something. Of course, there was always an odd one out in every situation, and this situation just so happened to be Shoto's daughter, Aika.

"Oh, Tsukishima, I have a question," Aika said, setting a stack of papers on a desk. "Your brother is Akiteru, right?"

Tsukishima sighed. "Yes, he is."

"How is he?" She walked up next to Tsukishima, who was working on some paperwork. "I heard what happened. I didn't think he'd-"

"My brother wouldn't try to commit suicide," Tsukishima cut her off, glaring at her. "He's dealt with his condition for his entire life, he wouldn't crack like that."

Aika stepped back. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you." She sighed. "I hope he's okay, though. Your big brother was the pride and joy of this agency."

"Akiteru is going to be fine," Tsukishima bit curtly. He left the conversation, taking all of his paperwork with him.

Aika watched him walk away. "I hope you're right, kid...I hope you're right."

A/N: Like I said at the beginning, the story is going to be even darker now. If you are squeamish to descriptions of blood, death, crime scenes, and torture, I recommend you stop reading the story now. If you decide to keep going...good luck, my friends.
