Chapter 25: Reckless Pursuits

Hey everyone sorry for not having a chapter last month, been taking a break from writing to deal with family, some news on my grandfather... as far as I have been told by my cousin our grandfather is still sick but from what he explained to me it sounds like it's not going to be a quick passing.

I'm going to try to keep my original goal for one chapter per month, if I don't I apologize, but here's the latest chapter for your enjoyment :)

Flashback (San Romero city, two years after the start of the Apocalypse)

Juliet was seen sawing an newly undead in half as she was seen wearing a cheerleader outfit with a severed head was seen dangling off her belt. The severed head dangled and shuffled around against Juliet's ass as he frowned in clear disapproval of his current predicament.

Juliet held up her chainsaw as a bone giant crashed through a wall and roared at Juliet. But before the giant could attack a middle aged man wearing a white tiger colored coat leaped out at him and with a single punch broke the giant's skull into piece.

Juliet eased her stance as she waved at the man with a innocent smile and praised "Nice one dad!"

The middle aged looking man turned towards Juliet and smirked as he confidently strode passed the Bone giant's body and said with an American southern accent "These undead boys don know when to giv up even after Aetulia's retreat to the stars!"

Juliet chuckled in amusement as the head complained "Yeah… must be nice to have hands eh Mr. Starling?"

The middle aged man looked down at the severed head and responded with a mildly annoyed tone "You givin me flip there son?"

The severed head responded with a sarcastic tone "You know what… Gideon sir? I am, and you'd probably be too if you were reduced to being your girlfriend's accessory and treated as a product!"

Juliet looked down at the head and quietly demanded "Nick… it's my dad!"

Gideon eyed Juliet and questioned with a stern tone "Wait hon, have you been mistreatin your man since you cut off his head?"

Juliet froze and was quiet for a short moment before responding in a sly tone "Nooooo…"

Gideon formed a unamused expression before palming his face and said "Christ almighty girl! (stands up and points at Juliet) What I tell you?!"

Juliet lowered her head in a compliant yet shy manner as she responded "You can dress up however you like, and kick all kinds of ass that deserves it… but don't go mistreating people especially the ones you love…"

Gideon nodded and responded "That's right and you just gonna ignore what I've told you?"

Juliet then pointed at Nick and attempted to change the subject "Well since I saved his life from becoming a zombie he bites my butt!"

Gideon eyed Nick who frowned with a low groan as he stated "We'll come back to that! (looks ay Juliet) And you know better than tryig to change the subject on a serious matter kiddo!"

Juliet looked down in a shameful manner and responded with a guilty tone "Yes dad…"

Gideon eyed Nick and questioned "Now why you biting the ass of one of my daughters boy?!"

Nick explained with a clear yet stern tone "I'm only a head now sir! I can't help if my face sometime suddenly turns and get stuck in her butt and it gets hard to speak!"

Gideon used his index finger and thumb to rub his eyes in frustration and groaned in annoyance before responding "Fair point… but biting?!"

Nick remained firm as he responded "It's the best choice I have believe it or not given my current situation sir!"

Gideon rubbed his mouth and chin and sighed before pulling Nick off Juliet's belt and smacked his face causing him to yelp in pain "OWW WHAT'S THAT FOR?!"

Gideon rolled his eyes and stated "A father's obligation, gotta teach ya a lesson for bitin my daughter…"

Gideon looked at Juliet as he put Nick down and slaped her across the face though it was clearly not as hard as when he slapped Nick's as he firmly stated "I'm disappointed in you Juliet, you don't go treatin your man like a god damn purse!"

Juliet placed her hand on her cheek where her father' struck and quickly nodded as she responded "Yes sir…"

Gideon pointed at the pair and ordered "Now you two apologize to each-other, don't care who goes you two need to learn to respect one another!"

Nick eyed Juliet and sighed in defeat as he apologized "I'm sorry for biting you Juliet."

Juliet eyed Nick and responded "I'm sorry for treating you like a purse and leaving you as a head baby…"

Gideon gave a single proud nod and responded with a soft smile "That's better!"

Juliet picked Nick up and looked around asking "Where's Rosalind and Cordelia?"

Gideon gesturing his hand around while turning as he stated "They're mopping up the big boys (points thumb at the giant) like the Bone giant here, they should be here right about… (looks at watch) Now!"

A nearby wall exploded as a teenage girl was seen hyperactively jumping in place was seen saying with an overly excited tone "OH MY GOSH CORDELIA THAT WAS AN AWESOME EXPLOSION!"

The teenager clearly Rosalind ran out as the eldest sister strutted out wearing a similar style of outfit to Gideon though wearing a black leather pair of pants.

Cordelia kept a confident smirk as she causally had her hands on her sniper rifle that was place over her shoulders and she apologized "Hey dad, sorry we're late!"

Gideon passively waved Cordelia off and stated "Nah kiddo you two ain't late, we'll be home in no time to have some of your mother's cookin!"

Later the group reached a seemingly abandoned neighborhood as Gideon asked "Rosalind go on ahead and make sure your mother's got everythin she needs would ya?"

Rosaline saluted before sprinting on ahead laughing with a gleeful tone "HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!"

Gideon chuckled in amusement while shaking his head as Nick noticed and asked "You know sir, you really are scary you know?"

Gideon looked at Nick who was being held in Juliet's arms as he asked "How so boy?"

Nick stated with a tint of fear in his tone "W-well you hunt zombies, and other magical monsters for one, you've got one hell of a punch that can topple giants and you managed to deal a near fatal blow to the Goddess of the dead by blowing yourself up in her face!"

Gideon shrugged casually and chuckled and joked "Welcome to the family hehe!"

But Rosalind's scream was heard catching the group's attention "EEEEEEEEYAAAAAAHAHAAAAAA!"

Gideon without hesitation sprinted past Cordelia as she and Juliet soon followed and froze to see dead humans impaled on pikes and strung up by demonic rusty chains. But one amongst the bodies caught the family's attention, a woman whose dress was drenched in her own blood and was strung to a street light with Demonic chains by her wrists .

The woman's dress was nearly torn apart from three deep cuts across her back as Rosalind was seen on her knees at the sight and had tears in her eyes full of tears as her hands trembled in dread as she screamed loudly "MOOOOOM!"

Juliet and Cordelia froze with Cordelia covering her mouth with tears forming in her eyes as Juliet dropped to her knees in dread.

Gideon grasped the sides of his head and shouted in a painful tone "NONONONONO! NOT MY ELIZABETH!"

But as the three sisters and father were seen in distraught of the sight of their mother and wife dead. Elizabeth's blood stained the street beneath her with the spiked Demonic chains coated in her blood.

Nick looked at the sight and quietly whispered in shock "Oh my god…"

But Gideon heard a crashing as he turned towards his family's house and saw a large hole in the front of his house. And striding out of the hole was the Demon Lord Belial carrying a book in his hand as he growled in irritation from being too large to fit in the house that wasn't made for his size and bulk.

Beliar eyed the remaining Starling family and sinisterly chuckled at their despair and loss as Vex was heard complaining "DEEZ HAIRLESS APES DON KNOW HOW TO MAKE A PROPPAH LIVIN SPACE I TELL YA!"

Vex crawled out of the house and was still complaining "DAMN HUMIES CAN'T EVEN FIGHT WELL NUFF TO SAVE DERE SKIN HOW DA HELL DID DEY EVEN…"

But Belial tapped Vex's shoulder and huffed towards the Starling family which Vex followed and saw the family while pointing at them with a comical scowl shouting "YER KIND ARE IDIOTS YOUZ COULDN'T EVEN MAKE BIG ENUFF BUILDINS FOR US!"

Gideon clenched his fist and questioned with a serious tone "Did you kill her?"

Vex raised a brow and stated while pointing at Elizbeth's lifeless body "Wha dat small female above ya? Nah not interested in killin hairless apes but yer book is mighty interestin I could make da boyz some real weapons wit dis!"

Beliar grinned sinisterly and taunted with a disturbing satisfied tone "But I on the other hand take great pleasure in killing your kind, in fact I will dread the day when your kind is extinct!"

Gideon charged at Beliar who casually tossed the book into Vex's hands who showed no interest in fighting as Beliar slammed his fist down on Gideon's back and formed a crater around the three.

Gideon grunted in pain as he was all bloodied from the sheer strength of Beliar who chuckled in delight at his pain before picking him up and said "Sadly the Dark Prince demands your kind's extermination… a pity I do rather enjoy hunting you hairless apes!"

Cordelia shot Beliar's hand as the bullet merely bounced off as he eyed her and coldly demanded "Don't rush me human!"

Juliet changed her chainsaw into a cannon and taunted "HANDS OFF OUR DAD YOU DEMON DOUCHEBAG!"

Beliar scoffed in a unimpressed manner before holding up Gideon and threatened "Try it Human, can ensure you won't miss your father."

Gideon groaned before punching Beliar's finger making him give quick painful growl and dropped Gideon as Juliet took this chance to shoot Beliar's face. The blast caused a small explosion and smoke as Beliar swiped the smoke away from his face and gave a displeased growl.

Vex walked away with the book as Gideon tackled Beliar into the house as Beliar was met with quick and powerful punches from Gideon. But the attacks from Gideon were not enough as Beliar grabbed him by the face and tossed him through a wall and a few houses with ease.

Juliet and Cordelia charged at Beliar who stood up and was immediately shot at by the two sisters while Rosalind was still unable to process the death of their mother. Juliet's eyes was welling up with tears as she changed her cannon back into a chainsaw as she with reckless fury swung it at Beliar who easily deflected her attacks with his right index finger.

Beliar grabbed Juliet's arm from her last attack as Cordelia dropped kicked his chest forcing him to drop Juliet who swiped her chainsaw across his belly making him roar in pain "RAAAAAAAAGH!"

Beliar grabbed the two sisters and slammed them both together dazing them as Nick warned "LOOK OUT!"

Beliar opened his claws and swiped it down at the two but Cordelia managed to regain her senses quickly before shoving Juliet down from the attack. Though she saved her sister from the attack Cordelia was impaled by Beliar's claws making her gasp in pain as her blood ran down Beliar's hand as he flexed his muscles and his wound healed.

Juliet reached out to Cordelia and shouted in despair "CORDELIA!"

Cordelia panted heavily as Beliar scoffed in a disappointed tone before silently flinging her off his claws and into the floor of the house. Gideon hurried back through the wall and saw one of his daughters laying on the floor bleeding out before eyeing Beliar who slammed his fist down at Juliet who dodging the attack and blasted him in the face.

Gideon picked up Cordelia and ordered "JULIET GET ROSALIND AND WITHDRAWAL NOW!"

But Juliet's anger got the better of her as she continued to do battle with Beliar who took advantage of her fury to easily disarm her of her chainsaw by backhanding it out of her grasp. Beliar grabbed Juliet by the arms and lifted her up with one hand and eyed Nick and chuckled in amusement before using his free hand to rip him away from Juliet's hip.

Beliar held Nick and gave a curious expression as Juliet swung her feet towards Beliar desperately trying to kick him. But Gideon threw himself shoulder first and forced Beliar to drop his daughter while he still carried Cordelia.

Juliet fell onto the ground as Beliar stumbled a few steps from Gideon's powerful shoulder bash and growled in anger before causally crushing Nick with no effort as Juliet shouted "NO NIIIIIIIIICK!"

Beliar dropped the bloody clump of flesh from his hand and began to flick the blood off his hand as if he saw human blood as a plague.

Beliar snarled at the Starling family before a gunshot was heard as an explosion blew a large hole in his chest and caused him to fall onto his back while Gideon turned to see a younger Hunter who advised in a commanding tone "GET OFF HERE!"

Gideon was showing a confused expression but he managed to turn and pick Juliet up who was still processing the brutal death of Nick. But Beliar quickly sat up and impaled his claws into Gideon's chest making him to drop his two daughters while coughing up his own blood.

Gideon looked down at Beliar's claws and panted heavily before Beliar grinned sinisterly before tearing his claws out of him which disturbingly resulted in disembloweling him. Gideon panted heavily in pain and in rapid pace before his breathing suddenly ceased and his head fell limp and lifeless.

Beliar eyed the blood on his claws and smelled it and showed a visibly disturbed expression and stated in a concerning tone "I smell Demon magic in this human bloodline, and judging by the scent of it… it was not done by a lesser Demon…"

Beliar reached out his hands and magically lifted both Cordelia and Rosalind off the ground and quickly levitated them towards himself with blinding speeds.

Juliet looked up to see Beliar holding both her sisters panted heavily in anger before Hunter ran up to her and quickly grabbed her by the arm and shouted "WE GOTTA GO BEFORE HE KILLS BOTH!"

Juliet stood and watched as Beliar summoned a green soul and cast it into Cordelia healing her wounds as Rosalind was remained unresponsive. Juliet was confused as to why Beliar would heal Cordelia before retreating with Hunter as Beliar squinted at the two fleeing from him as he gave a low growl.

Vex walked towards Beliar and questioned while placing his large muscular hands on his hips and questioned "Why'd you spare dese lil umies?"

Beliar growled in annoyance and questioned "They have Demon magic in their blood, and from the scent it was no amateur, a Demon Lord I suspect… I shall present them two the Destroyer and request he invest (looks down at Cordelia and Rosalind) his resources in discovering whose magic this is in their blood."

Beliar eyed Vex and changed the subject "And for my great prize, will you be able to make weapons from those human designs?"

Vex leaned against the house and crossed his massive arms while stating "It'll take me some time but I'll manage."

Present day (Portal to Lostlight)

Death, Bayonetta and Juliet returned to the portal that allowed Bayonetta and Death to reach Earth as Juliet eyed Death and asked with a playful tone "You sure you don't want to help us ladies out?"

Death held out the Rod of Arafel and responded "We can't allow the Rod to be reclaimed by the Demons, and my healing abilities have been severely weakened by that Demon's poison… (dematerializes Rod) besides, I have no doubt you two will manage with out me in finishing off Beliar."

Bayonetta smiled softly before teasing him "Oh so you're not leaving to spend time with our daughter alone?"

Death merely gave a unamused glare towards Bayonetta and remained silent towards her teasing as Bayonetta teased some more "Your silence betrays you Darling!"

Death's eyes shadowed behind his mask from embarrassment as Juliet looked back and forth between the two in a confusion fashion and questioned with a playful tone "Do sense some sexual tension between you two?"

Bayonetta giggled as palmed his mask as Bayonetta responded "Oh Juliet… hahaha… you have no idea!"

Bayonetta walked up to Death and questioned "But I have to ask… how did you get the final piece of the Rod?"

Death's eyes shook in hesitation which Bayonetta noticed as he responded "You remember the letter you got in the Forge Lands, from one called Wicked K?"

Bayonetta shrugged and admited "Yes… kinda it wasn't really catching my attention at the time."

Death sighed and responded "Well it seems he's taken that, personally… or at least as far as I could tell from a being of pure madness such as him. He offered the final piece, in exchange that he ask me a favor at a later date of his choosing… (shrugs) I can only guess he stole the last piece from the Demons to have a chance in getting me to bargain with him for it…"

Bayonetta sighed in annoyance and teased "Well I guess we should be grateful that he didn't give you a fake piece."

Death gave a low groan as Bayonetta kissed his mask and promised "I'll be back before you know it love! (walks away but looks up) Oh and do make sure to give my love to the little one won't you dear?"

Death crossed his arms and responded with a quiet tone "No need to worry about that…"

Bayonetta chuckled in amusement and tapped Juliet's shoulder and directed "Let's go kick that Demon Lord's rude ass!"

Juliet smiled as the two ladies walked off as she responded "Hell yeah let's go!"

Death shook his head before turning towards the portal and entered it and jumped up as the portal teleported him to Lostlight and was seen rising out of the portal in the Heavenly realm. Death walked out of the portal to see Lucien standing outside the chambers with his hands behind his back and below his upper wings looking out towards the city in the distance.

Death walked out of the chamber as Lucien turned around and asked "Have you retrieved the Rod?"

Death responded in a cold tone "You'll have it when my companions return from Earth and not a moment sooner."

Lucien's glowing face visibly frowned from the answer he got from Death and threatened "Give me the Rod or I will close the portal to Earth."

Death unsheathed his scythe and held it's blade at Lucien's throat who grunted in shock as Death assured "You'll die before you even cast a spell to deactivate the portal! Be patient and I promise you'll have the Rod and you will honor our agreement, understood Archon?"

Lucien groaned lowly and responded simply "Transparently Rider…"

Death sheathed his scythe and walked away from the Archon who watched in an expression of distain while his eyes turned black as Oblivio's voice was heard "Explain something to me my Prophet…"

The Archon paced quickly back into his chambers and fell to his knees and opened his arms out seemingly relishing in hearing his Master's voice and responded "You humble me with your presence my Lord, ask your question."

Oblivio responded "My understanding of this, Rod of Arafel is nonexistent, how powerful is this relic?"

Lucien responded by explaining "It's power is immeasurable, especially in the hands of an Angel whose mastered their power… in such hands it could turn the tide of nearly any battle. I has cleansed Demonic Armadas from the voids of space, left entire Demon cities to rumble and has even reduced some of the greater Demon Lords to dust!"

Oblivio for a moment was silent but responded "If what you say is true, I must call the fleet hovering over the Ivory Citadel away and avoid loosing those ships."

Lucien grunted and questioned in a confused tone "But my Lord, how will I be able to handle the Horseman and his Human witch?"

Oblivio responded in a simple yet cold tone "Leave the Key in the Citadel and allow them to have it,"

Lucien groaned in a disappointed tone and responded in a held back angered tone "As you wish my Lord…"

Oblivio sensing Lucien's anger and firmly warned while causing Lucien's head to pulse in pain "Do not go against my wishes Prophet of Anarchy… but do so and I will not grant you aid from the other Black Tide members and I will ensure you will perish by Death and Cereza's hands!"

Lucien panted heavily as Oblivio released his hold over Lucien's mind allowing his pulstating mind to ease from the pain.

Rodin's bar

Death returned to the bar and was greeted with the sight of Rosa playfully lifting up Alice in the air making her giggle in delight.

Death's eyes squinted while underneath his mask he formed a faint smile while Alice noticed his presence and happily reached out to him with both hands as Rosa turned to see his squinting and raised a brow and asked "You alright there? You look angry."

Death's eased his stare and responded "I am fine, mask tends to hide the rest of my expressions aside the eyes."

Rosa scoffed in amusement before teasing "Oh and what expression would that be?"

Death sat down next to Rosa and responded in a mildly playful tone "I'm sure you don't need to know."

Rosa smiled as she handed Alice to Death who eyed his daughter and questioned "So did she give you a hard time?"

Rosa chuckled in amusement while joking "Honestly Death you'd expect me and Balder to let a little witch (points at Alice) like her to give us a hard time?"

Alice laid her head on Death's chest and yawned cutely while quickly falling asleep as Rosa widened her eyes in surprise as she pointed at Death and teased "Wow… she really is comfortable around you."

Death looked down at Alice and remained silent while Rosa questioned "So where's Cereza?"

Death explained while gently caressing Alice's head "She's still on Earth helping a fellow Human fight a lesser Demon Lord."

Rosa smirked and asked "Let me guess, another kickass lady?"

Death groan lowly as he nodded while Rosa smiled and teased "Ahhh girl's night out, got it!"

Rodin entered the bar, seeing saw Death he called out "Horseman, we've got a bit of a problem, one that might require your attention."

Death handed Alice to Rosa and followed Rodin who stated "We had an run in with the Knights of Soulfire, I took them down, easily… but I think you should know their leader's soul is a Nephilim."

Death eyed Rodin and simply responded in a refusal tone "Impossible!"

Rodin pushed a door open to the basement and responded "He claims to have been killed by you shortly before the Four pledged themselves to the Council."

Death formed a suspicious squint as he followed Rodin into the basement to see the skeleton wearing a bandana magically bound to a chair as he casually demanded "Hey Boss, just to be clear I'd like to have this body back after you two are done."

Rodin passively waved off the demand and stated "Yeah, yeah I'll pay you triple if it gets messy."

The skeleton shrugged as Rodin pulled out his soul and let it float around while summoning the jar with the souls of the bounty hunters. Rodin using his Demonic magic plucked the purple soul and planted it inside the skeleton allowing the soul to possess the body.

The skeleton raised it's head and eyed Death and fumed purple smoke from his eyesockets and called out with a spiteful tone "YOU! TRAITOR!"

Death crossed his arms and dryly joked "Well he does have the attitude of a Nephilim."

The Bounty hunter struggled to free himself from the magical bonds that restrict him as Rodin stated while summoning a cigar "You won't be able to break free (places cigar in mouth and lights it) I can assure that."

Death eyed the skeleton and questioned "You claim to have been a Nephilim in life, tell what were you called?"

The bounty hunter growled in anger and responded "I am Entropy!"

Rodin raised a brow and asked Death "Wait wasn't that the name of one of the elder Nephilim?"

Rodin turned to see Death with his arms uncrossed as his eyes darkened behind his mask clearly recognizing the name and stated "You?"

Entropy chuckled in amusement and questioned "How long has it been, brother? Since I first discovered you and those lower class Nephilim attempting to betray our cause and Absalom you were the only one to notice me and quickly ended me!"

Death remained silent as his eyes remained shadowed while Entropy mocked "YOU SAY NOTHING AS YOU ALREADY ARE AWARE OF YOUR OWN GUILT YOU CANNOT ESCAPE MY VENGEANCE DEATH!"

Death turned away and ordered "Rodin… put back in the jar I've heard enough!"

Entropy growled in anger before threatening "YES GO AHEAD PUT ME BACK IN THE GLASS PRISON, I'LL ESCAPE IT AND WHEN I DO… I'LL KILL THAT CHILD OF YOURS!"

Rodin dropped his jaw as his cigar fell from his lips in shock at the threat that Entropy made while Death froze in place. Rodin slowly backed away without a word as Entropy noticed as Death began to glow a purple aura as he slowly turned back around to face Entropy with glowing red eyes.

Death reeled his fist and with blinding speeds he punched the skeleton's skull causing it to explode into pieces before tearing Entropy's soul from the remains. Death held Entropy over his chest as the shattered amulet imbedded in his chest began to glow a ghastly green before absorbing Entropy's soul.

Death inhaled deeply before leaving the basement without another word as Rodin merely watched with a tint of fear as a drop of sweat rolled down his face.

Rodin sighed in relief and placed his hands on his hips and said "Bah… crazy Nephilim…"

Rodin snapped his fingers as the shattered skull reassembled itself magically while Rodin returned the soul of the skeleton who shouted in disbelief "YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY WHAT THE HELL?!"

With Death who was seen returning to the bar to see Rosa cradling the sleeping Alice which she eyed Death with a soft smile and asked with a genuinely concerned ton "You alright? You pale… well paler than usual."

Death groaned lowly as he sat next to Rosa and responded "It is… personal, I'd rather not discuss it…"

Rosa sighed in defeat but nodded, respecting Death's desire for his privacy before handing Alice over to him and said "Here's your daughter back."

Death accepted Alice back in his arms while she remained asleep before standing up and left the bar and was seen headed straight for his and Bayonetta's room. When Death entered the room he walked over to the chair and sat down cradling Alice while quietly looking out in a distant manner.

Beliar's outpost (His throne room)

Beliar was carried to his throne room by Vex who mocked him "Youz got yer ass handed to ya by two Humies and a Pigeon and youz also let Death get a old on da Rod? Da Destroyer ain't gonna like dat!"

Beliar groaned in anger and responded "I am aware Vex! (sighs) Has Kagan begun to mate with Slezz and the two Taskmasters?"

Vex scoffed in a impressed tone and stated "Da Bloodsucka has, and dat winged bloodsucka also has given birth to the first of yer Bloodsucka army, and get dis, da girl was born minutes after bein convieved."

Beliar eyed Vex and sat himself on his throne and questioned "Really so soon?"

Vex explained while crossing his arms "Turns out Slezz's a literal monster makin machine from dat blood in er veins!"

Beliar placed his skeletal hand on his boney chin and was in deep thought as Vex noticed and questioned "I know yer plannin somethin wha is it?"

Beliar explained "The Destroyer will not be pleased with my failure… perhaps if I present him Kagan, Slezz and the newborn Vampire as payment he may look over the Rod being taken away."

Vex scoffed in disagreement and responded "Doubt dat, youz gonna need to offer im more den dat!"

Beliar sighed and stated "I already have another offer planned in case he is does not accept the three Vampires."

A portal tore open in front of the two Demons as the Destroyer himself walked through with a snarling expression on his face.

Beliar got off his throne and bowed before the Demonic Dragon as Vex followed as the Destroyer accused "Beliar you have allowed the Angels to reclaim the Rod of Arafel, and you also let you brother Belial die despite my commands to aid each-other!"

Beliar questioned in a terrified tone "How did you know about that my lord?"

The Destroyer growled in disgust and stated "I have eyes and ears everywhere upon this accursed rock, Beliar! Nothing goes on without my spies and myself knowing!"

Beliar's bones trembled as he stutteringly responded "I-I-I can repay debts!"

The Destroyer growled lowly holding back his disgust of the lesser Demon Lord and circled around him and questioned "And what could you possibly offer to me, that is equal to that of the Rod of Arafel?"

Beliar responded while his bones rattled visible in fear "I can offer you my latest recruits, three Vampires, the female can produce you an army so long as you have her mate, the two have already produced a child."

The Destroyer kept circling around Beliar and Vex and ordered "Bring them to me, I wish to see your current results with these 'Vampires' I shall see their worth!"

Beliar nodded and ordered "Vex… go and retrieve Kagan, Slezz and the newborn!"

Vex nodded and stood up and left while the Destroyer shouted "NEWBORN?! THE OFFSPRING ISN'T EVEN FULLY GROWN YET?!"

Beliar responded "Yes… my Lord but the child was just born minutes after being conceived!"

The Destroyer snarled at Beliar and stated "Fine, I shall see what you have to offer until Vex returns, not another word!"

Minutes later Vex was seen entering Slezz and Kagan's chambers and was greeted with the sight of the two Taskmasters laying on the floor and were in a deep sleep.

Vex scoffed in a impressed manner and looked to see Slezz already trying to arouse Kagan while the newborn Ferril was seen on the bed thoughtlessly left alone.

Vex growled in mild annoyance before picking up Ferril and ordered the two Vampires "Kagan, Slezz da Destroyer wants to see ya and yer girl ere, and puts some clothes on before you meet da big boss imself!"

Kagan and Slezz eyed each-other before putting on clothes and followed Vex to Beliar's throne room to see the ruler of Demon conquered Earth. Vex bowed and presented Ferril as Kagan and Slezz bowed while Kagan looked to see the Destroyer opening his wings wide, his shadow eclipsing all four as he snarled at the sight of them.

Kagan's hands shook as he could feel the sheer power of the Destroyer and thought to himself "What kind of beast is this?! His power is beyond what I had thought was for a common Lord of Demons… he must be a great Demon Lord…"

The Destroyer circled around the four and eyed Kagan, Slezz and Ferril specifically and sensed Slezz's power and questioned "You gave birth to the blue skinned child in Vex's hands?"

Slezz gulped and responded with a fearul tone "Y-yes my Lord…"

The Destroyer responded "Yes you are right to be afraid in my presence, have you already given her a name?"

Slezz nodded and responded "Her name is Ferril my Lord…"

The Destroyer eyed Slezz's belly and noticed it was slowly expanding and stated "It seems you already about to have your second child… you may go."

Slezz stood up and left the throne room to prepare herself to give birth to Kagan's second child as the Destroyer eyed Kagan and demaned "How long have you two been frolicking?"

Kagan responded in a equaling fearfiul tone as Slezz "We only started today my lord… and no doubt the two Taskmasters who were assigned to also give birth to my offspring will also be of use…"

Beliar growled lowly as he thought to himself "Damn you Bloodsucker! He did not need to know about those two!"

The Destroyer eyed Beliar and questioned "Why did you keep the two Taskmasters a secret from me Beliar?"

Beliar lied with a hesitant tone "I… wasn't sure you'd want to hear if Demons could breed with Vampires or if the offspring would be of use until I was certain."

The Destroyer groaned lowly in disgust and responded "Very well… I shall take your Vampires and the Taskmasters who indulge in mating with them… (circles around Beliar) but I must have more than this, an army of Vampires and half Vampires is a great long term investment I will require something that doesn't take as much time."

Beliar grunted and sighed in defeat as he stated "Then I over you the service of my Blacksmith Vex, he has already invented a new kind of weapon one that could prove to be of great use for your armies!"

Vex eyed Beliar and snarled angrily as the Destroyer eyed Vex and questioned "And what weapons have you made that may have my interest?"

Vex responded with a proud tone "I was able to use umie designs to make deez!"

Vex summoned the chain axes and stated "Dey are brutal, savage weapons, dey cut, dey disembowel, dey rip and tear til dere ain't nothing but shredded meat!"

Outside the outpost Bayonetta and Juliet managed to find Beliar's outpost in the outskirts of the city as Bayonetta noticed the outpost was heavily guarded.

Bayonetta looked around as Juliet pointed out towards the outpost and said "Hey whose the blue lady with wings?"

Bayonetta followed Juliet's finger and saw Slezz pacing out of one of the Demonic buildings and was seen entering a separate building as Bayonetta admitted "Well… have to give it to the Demon ladies they can still rock being gorgeous."

Juliet formed a confused expression as Bayonetta noticed without looking at her and simply said "It's a long story."

Juliet leaned down on her elbow while facing Bayonetta and teased "Sounds more interesting than long."

Bayonetta shrugged before she saw Slezz walking out of the building she had recently just entered and was followed by the Shadowcaster and said "Oh Jeanne would hate that Demon!"

Juliet saw the Shadowcaster and complained "Shit! It's a Shadowcaster, a powerful Demonic mage of sorts damn it!"

Bayonetta eyed the Shadowcaster who summoned a Demonic tub for Slezz to lay in as a group of Flee Demons ran out of the building wildly trying to escape. But the Shadowcaster used his magic to lift them up and magically drained them of their blood to fill the tub with Slezz still in it and bathed in their blood.

Bayonetta squinted with a mildly disturbed expression as Slezz was heard screaming loudly in pain as Juliet formed a disgusted look on her face. Slezz reached down and twisted her hand and lifted up her second child who cried out while Demon blood rolled down it's skin.

Bayonetta widened her eyes in both shock and surprise as Juliet recoiled and said "Oh god that's disgusting!"

Bayonetta sighed and admitted "Yeah…"

With Slezz who held up her second child saw that it was male and smirked in pride and stood up and named "You will be named Lazarus!"

The young Vampire bit Slezz's hand making her scoff in amusement before proudly claiming "Ohhh you're an aggressive youngling!"

Slezz stepped out of the tub as the Destroyer exited the throne room as Bayonetta and Juliet saw as Juliet rubbed her forehead and said "Oh no… it's the Destroyer…"

Bayonetta raised a brow unimpressed as she mocked "He's just a big Demon lizard!"

Juliet shook her head and stated "No Bayonetta he's not… he's the top dog on Earth now!"

Bayonetta eyed the Destroyer who was seen looking around in surveillance to his surroundings which Bayonetta noticed and quickly tackled Juliet onto the ground and warned in a hushed tone "Keep down he'll see us!"

The Destroyer kept a calm demeanor as he inhaled and exhaled Demonic flickers of flame before Beliar was seen walking out with the two Taskmasters, Kagan and Vex. The Destroyer eyed the spot where Bayonetta and Juliet hid and squinted in a suspicious manner before turning away to face Beliar who bowed before him.

Bayonetta looked towards the outpost as Juliet shook her head and teased "Next time try not to get your tits in my face!"

Bayonetta scoffed in amusement as she saw Beliar bowing to the Destroyer but was unable to hear the conversation he was having with him. Bayonetta kept quiet until the Destroyer swiped his claws across Beliar's ribcage scattering his bones across the ground.

Bayonetta formed a confused expression as Juliet asked "Oh man… guess Beliar was not as useful to his boss as I thought…"

The Destroyer eyed Vex who bowed his head before the Destroyer opened a portal for him, the Taskmasters, Kagan, Slezz, young Vampires and Hedrox as the Shadowcaster gave the orb of Dagon to the Destroyer.

The Destroyer looked back towards Bayonetta's and Juliet's position and flew up into the air with the orb in his hands as Bayonetta said "He knows we're here…"

The Destroyer hovered high above the outpost and allowed the orb to float in front of him as he opened out his arms and with the orb summoned a great storm. Lightning bolts struck all around the Destroyer with some bolts striking at Bayonetta and Juliet who dodged repeatedly trying to avoid being struck.

Bayonetta pulled Juliet's arm and shouted "WE NEED TO LEAVE NOW!"

Juliet followed Bayonetta and questioned with a shouting tone as the sounds of the storm made it hard to hear for them both "WHAT WHY?! YOU CAN TAKE HIM CAN'T YOU?!"

Bayonetta dodged another bolt of lightning and responded "MAYBE BUT I CAN'T FIGHT HIM IF I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR SAFETY AND BESIDES DEATH WOULD KILL IF I GOT YOU KILLED!"

Juliet laughed while joking "HAHAHA SO I'M A DISTRACTION FOR YOU NOW?!"

But as the two women ran they noticed the streets were beginning to flood with ocean water and they hurried further back to the location of the portal. The Destroyer was seen applying more of his power into the orb of Dagon as a skyscraper sized tidelwave was seen heading towards the city.

Minutes later Bayonetta and Juliet manged to reached the building where the portal resided and looked back to the sounds of Demons giving out fearful roars and cries. The Demons ignored both Bayonetta and Juliet as they ran straight past them as Bayonetta saw the massive tidalwave rushing through the buildings knocking a few down.

Bayonetta lifted Juliet over her shoulder to the dismay of Juliet while Bayonetta leaped out at the portal which transported them back to Lostlight instantly.

Upon arrival as Lucien was seen sitting upon his throne and remaind silent as Bayonetta and Juliet panted heavily as Juliet joked "Well… (huff) that was fun haha!"

Bayonetta scoffed in amusement and responded "Yeah… she should do that more in the future…"

Lucien tapped his fingers upon the arms of his throne impatiently as he interrupted "Good you have returned, the Rider has already been through here and he awaits you down below. You two have honored your side of the bargain, I will honor mine!"

Bayonetta kept a distrustful look in her eyes as she responded "Sure Pigeon."

The Citadel of Corruption (The Shadow realm)

Nos'duran was seen panting weakly as Pride was heard whispering "You little Godling, I wish to make you an offer."

Nos'duran responded in a annoyed tone "What could you possibly have that I want?"

Pride responded confidently "A chance to regain freedom!"

Nos'duran squinted in suspicion and responded "And what do you get out of my freedom Deadly Sin? Or rather what does your father get?"

Pride responded "Omne will not come anywhere near this place, he is far to afraid of Oblivio's power even while the Absent God is at a weakened state, my father fears him! (turns towards Nos'duran's direction) My offer is from me and me alone but I need some help!"

Nos'duran growled lowly and responded "And how can you escape? Oblivio most certainly is listening to our conversation right now what makes you think he'll ignore our escape so easily?"

Pride summoned a coin as the entire citadel itself trembled as Oblivio's voice was heard echoing with a subdued yet angry tone "Where dide you get that?!"

Pride smirked confidently before flipping the coin which vanished in flash of fire and smoke before landing. The citadel continued to tremble as a giant meteor was seen falling down upon the surface of Consumption.

Upon the meteor crashing down Pride and Nos'duran broke free and walked out of their cells with no form of resistance from Oblivio as No'sduran questioned "What did you do?"

Pride opened out her palm tearing open a portal and responded "I summoned one of father's most powerful ally… the first of his Titans… Maligog!"

Pride gestured her hand towards the portal and offered "I suggest you come along with me, remaining here will only make you Oblivio's prisoner and besides I have news of one of your offspring, the Wailing Host."

Nos'duran squinted at Pride who gave a confident smirk while silently walking backwards through her portal which the Cosmic Deity followed. At the crashsite rose a giant Demonic bipedal beast with the left side of his face scarred to the very bone.

His eyesockets was exposed as no eye remained while his scaly skin was scarred from countless battles his mouth was lipless as it gave a deep pitched animalist growl. But Consumption took immediate action as gigantic tentacles erupted from the living planet's surface and slammed down onto Maligog forcing him to his knees.

Oblivio was seen in his throne room standing up from his throne as Absalom, Morgana and Wrath entered the room as Oblivio pointed at Absalom and ordered with a stern yet mildly angered tone "Absalom you will lead the counterassault, do as you see fit to (points in Maligog's direction) get that one eyed slave off my planet!"

Absalom grunted in surprise at Oblivio's vitriolic hatred towards Maligog as Morgana noticed and stated simply "The boss has some beef with the big guy, I'll explain later (turns around and waves the two warriors to follow) come on!"

Morgana flew off with incredible speed as Absalom turned towards Oblivio who passively waved him and Wrath off as the two followed but not without Wrath shoving Absalom aside claiming "HE'S MINE TO KILL!"

Absalom grinned in a bloodthirsty manner as he gave a loud battlecry "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHH!"

Oblivio was seen breathing heavily in anger as a portal opened up beside him as he growled in annoyance and questioned "Today is full of unwanted surprises!"

Time slowed as a doubled bladed golden axe was seen flipping out of the portal and was headed straight for Oblivio who leaned to the side casually evading the axe. Time returned to normal as the axe impaled into the wall behind Oblivio as the Corruption began to singe from the power of the axe which caught Oblivio's attention.

And leaping out of the portal was a woman wearing a black skin tight catsuit with a V-shaped chest exposing her cleavage. The inside of her catsuit's high collar was purple as her skin was as pale as Death's as her eyes were fiery orange, her lips full and covered in a dark grey lipstick, and her hair was put up in a ponytail.

The woman summoned a staff which one end had a scythe-like blade while on the other a chainsaw of which she summoned a revolver handgun and took a battle stance reminiscent of Bayonetta's.

Oblivio squinted suspiciously at the woman as a man strode out confidently, his short silver-white hair and blue glowing eyes were distinct while his body was very muscular and fit. The man wore only a red tattered scarf while in one hand he wielded the Rebellion sword while he opened his palm out towards the axe and magically recalled it to him which Oblivio quickly melted into the floor evading the axe a second time.

The man taunted "So this is our foe Cousin? (The woman nods silently) He doesn't seem that powerful!"

Oblivio reformed behind the man and responded "Interesting… (both the man and woman jump away in shock) you two carry a powerful Cosmic weapon… yet I am unfamiliar of it!"

The man took stance with both Rebellion and the golden axe as Oblivio placed his hands behind his back while he walked towards the two questioning "Who are you two, to be so bold enough to travel through time to assassinate me?"

The man and woman formed a surprised look in their eyes as Oblivio noticed as he stated "Don't act so surprised, I am familiar with some forms of Time magic… well to a far lesser extent than I'd hah like to admit. Yet you, (points at the woman) you are most peculiar, you are a Nephilim, one whose power is very much like…. (rubs chin and smirks) Ahhhh… so that is you are!"

The woman grunted and immediately leaped out at Oblivio and swiped her chainsaw end of her weapon at the Dark Lord who easily grabbed it by the teeth and locked it in place.

But the Chamberlain, Auditor and the World Serpent erupted from behind the throne and circled around the woman in defense of their master who merely ordered "No, you three stay out of this… these two are but mere inexperienced children!"

Oblivio's three personal guards backed away from the woman and hid in the shadows of the throne room as the man growled in anger while the woman glared at Oblivio as he continued "You are the child of Cereza and Death from the future, you're, the Nephilim Destiny, or do you prefer Alice?"

The woman now revealed to be an adult Alice responded with a voice similar to her mother and grandmother "It won't matter because we'll end you!"

Oblivio responded as his grip tightened around Alice's weapon "I doubt that, but if it's an ending you want… (The man leaps out at Oblivio) it's a an ending you'll get!"

Oblivio's grip tightened further and shattered Alice's entire weapon as Oblivio grabbed her by the anckle and used her to knock her companion away. Oblivio casually slammed Alice onto the floor face first as the man charged at him which had Oblivio let go of Alice while she stood up and pointed her revolver at his head.

But Oblivio quickly spun around and kicked the gun out of Alice's hand before bashing the back of his head into the man's face with blinding speeds. The man dropped the axe and covered his broken, bleeding nose as Oblivio turned around with a unamused expression before head-butting the man into the floor.

Alice got up as Oblivio quickly turned around and jabbed his fist at her chest knocking back.

The man sat up with a painful grown before he saw the woman on the floor gasping painfully causing him to roar out in anger "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Oblivio turned back to immediately get punched in the face by the man and forced him onto one knee with his jaw dislocated.

Oblivio growled lowly in annoyance before his jaw snapped itself back into place and stood back up and taunted in a calm tone "You hit like a mortal!"

The man panted heavily in anger as he eyed Oblivio who held his right hand up and clenched it into a fist causing the portal to exploded as he coldly question "I assume your parents spoke of me and how powerful I am, (face darkens as eyes glow brighter) but clearly you did not heed their wisdom, a costly mistake! Wouldn't you agree… son of War?"

The man now revealed to be the son of the Horseman War gritted his teeth and picked his axe before charging at Oblivio recklessly. But Oblivio easily evaded the man's attacks as his aura glowed red as Oblivio noticed and quickly jabbed his fist at the man's throat.

Oblivio's fist impacted the man's throat causing him to drop the golden axe and grabbed his throat in pain while backing off from Oblivio who kept his eyes on him. The two circled each-other before the man regained his footing and angrily swung Rebellion at Oblivio who took the effort to dodged the blade knowing it's power first hand.

Oblivio with lightning speeds then struck his fist into the man's belly causing him to cough up blood and make him fall to his knees.

Oblivio reached down and grabbed the golden axe by the hilt and simply stated "Excuse me for a moment children, I have a titan to slay and when I'm done you'll have my full attention!"

Oblivio flew out of his throne room and was now outside of his citadel, seeing Maligog still putting up a fight before Oblivio flung the axe straight at him. The axe's power surged with cosmic energies as it imbedded itself within Maligog's left hand causing him to roar out in pain and grasp his left wrist.

But a beam of light shined down upon Maligog as Oblivio glared upwards towards the light as he his angered breathing was heard as he thought to himself"So Old Friend, you've come to save your favored slave personally or just take him away?"

Maligog began to lift off the ground as Oblivio growled in disappointment before he flew up to Maligog and tore out the axe out of the Titan's hand.

Oblivio turned back to his citadel and quickly returned to his throne room to see his bodyguards holding Alice and the son of War in chains.

Oblivio walked up the stairs to his throne and raised the axe as he eyed the two cousins before twirling the axe in his hand casually and held it at Alice's throat.

The man threatened in defense of his cousin "LEAVE HER BE DARK LORD!"

Oblivio scoffed in an impressed manner before walking past Alice and her cousin to sit on his throne.

Alice began to breath regularly and eyed Oblivio who inspected the golden axe and questioned "Who forged this axe child?"

Alice broke free of her chains surprising Oblivio's bodyguards as he summoned revolver and aimed it at Oblivio's and fired multiple shots. But Alice's arm fell suddenly as if gravity was heavier on her while she eyed the Chamberlain of Calamity whose skull formed yellow vein-like markings while his eyesockets glowed yellow.

The smoke cleared around Oblivio who sighed in annoyance before he coldly warned "Try to that again girl and my mercy will no longer be a factor in your survival!"

The man stood up and also broke the chains to charged at Oblivio gave a disappointed frown before grabbing the man by the throat.

Oblivio stood up and lifted the man off the ground while Alice grunted in pure shock of how power Oblivio was despite his weakened state and questioned "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE AT YOUR WEAKEST AT THIS POINT IN TIME HOW ARE YOU OVER POWERING BOTH OF US?!"

Oblivio eyed Alice and responded coldly yet constructively "You clearly have not honed your power, neither of you two are yet as strong or experienced as your parents, even with your Cosmic weapons in your possession."

Alice's eyes turned to dread as Oblivio continued "You and your cousin have my gratitude and for that you may return to your time (eyes the golden axe) along with your Cosmic weapon."

Alice trembled in dread and questioned "Just like that you'd let us go?"

Oblivio responded while dropping the son of War onto the floor "I am a god of my word, but if you desire to continue this battle, I will not hesitate to make it the most one sided fight of your entire existence now choose carefully!"

The man reacted by summoning Rebellion to his hand and stabbing the blade into Oblibio's leg making him roar out in pain "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOHHHHH!"

Alice grunted and shouted "AZMUTH HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!"

The man now revealed to be named Azmuth ripped the sword out of Oblivio's leg cutting it off as Oblivio formed an furious expression as his eyes glowed yellow and stated coldly "You've done it now boy!"

Oblivio fired four yellow beams out of his eyes striking Azmuth which burned his skin making him cry out in pain "YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Oblivio gritted his teeth as he continued to burn Azmuth with his beams before stopping to pick up his leg and reattached it so he could stand up. As Oblivio stood up he clenched his fists, which cracked before he began to brutally beat Azmuth's face with each punch causing loud booming shockwaves.

Azmuth's face was beginning to get bruised as Oblivio continued his strikes while Alice begged "PLEASE STOP!"

Oblivio ignored Alice's pleas as he continued to beat Azmuth's face to the point where he face was swollen and bleeding.

Oblivio grabbed Azmuth by his scarf and pulled him to his face and threatened coldly "Try that again boy and I will kill you!"

But Azmuth could not see as his eyes were swollen shut while he breathed heavily with blood spitting out each time he exhaled. Oblivio dropped Azmuth, placing his hands behind his back and turned around to sat back down in his throne as Alice's eyes tear up from disbelief.

A portal opened up as Geryon walked out which Oblivio widened his eyes in confusion and questioned "What is this?! How is it that you are still alive after the first Armageddon?"

Geryon snorted as he stomped one of his front hooves as time completely stopped around him freezing everyone in place. But Oblivio 's eyes merely slowed as he culd only watch as Geryone walked towards Azmuth and magically lifted him up and placed him on his back.

Geryon eyed the golden axe and magically lifted it and placed it in his mouth while he turned towards Alice and walked over to her as Oblivio followed his movements. Geryon showed no signs of concern as he magically placed Alice on his back he turned back towards the portal he entered the throne room from and galloped back towards it. But as Geryon was merely a few feet away he returned time to normal with Oblivio quickly standing up.

Oblivio watched as Geryon had fled through the portal which immediately closed behind him as Oblivio squinted in suspicion before Morgana, Absalom and Wrath returned to the throne room.

Morgana looked around seeing the wall had been damaged and asked with a playful tone "Boss did we miss something?"

Oblivio sat back down in his throne as he called "Auditor come forth!"

The Auditor of Silence walked out from the shadows and bowed quickly towards Oblivio who commanded "Reveal to me what you saw with your sight."

The Auditor nodded as his eyes beamed out a image of Geryon as Morgana grunted recognizing the steed and said "Wait… how's that beast still alive?!"

Absalom eyed Morgana in confusion as Oblivio responded "Clearly he is more than just a simple immortal creature from the first age… his power completely had me at his mercy yet he chose not to engage me directly… (smirks) Interesting perhaps, myself, Omne, Jubileus Sheba and Aesir were not the only Cosmic Gods to form during the first age."

Morgana widened her eyes and asked "But how could that be, we would've known…"

Oblivio responded calmly "His power is over time itself… perhaps I merely saw a small demonstration of his power… this will need to be investigated at a later date… (waves his hand as the Auditor halts his beams) Morgana I have a task for you!"

Morgana placed her hands on her hips and teased "What do you need from me boss?"

Oblivio leaned back in his throne and ordered "I require you to go to this world that was created by Loptr, apparently the world is a realm of his own vile and pathetic ideas, he claimed his champion is there awaiting his God's call. Go there and assess the realm and if it maybe prove to be a threat (places hands together) afterwards go to the Brutal Lands and seek out Ormagodden and Aetulia two Cosmic gods."

Morgana placed her index and middle fingers on her forehead and playfully saluted Oblivio and responded "On it boss!"

Absalom walked up and demanded with a respectful tone "Wait tell me what Morgana knows that we don't my lord!"

Oblivio sighed and responded "Very well… long before this current age, there was two previous ages… the first age having many names, the Age of Creation, the Age of Doom…"

Morgana interrupted as she fanned her face and said "Hooofff… I love me some Doom!"

Oblivio continued while placing his hands on the arms of his throne "The first age was where me and my fellow Cosmic deities ruled, and it was that age where I was betrayed by Omne and the other gods who blindly followed him at the time. The second age is the Age of Chaos named after the God Aesir for he chose to allow himself to be split into two halfs creating his two sons, Loki and Loptr who would both serve to allow Humanity free will."

Absalom crossed his arms as Oblivio finished "And we are in the third age, a currently nameless age but you've already aware of this age. But strangely this age has an increase number of young and new Cosmic Gods that had not existed prior to this age. Which is why I must seek these other Deities out to see if they pose a threat to me… or if they decide to join my cause."

Absalom rubbed his spiked chin and changed the subject "So what of Pride and Nos'duran shall we pursue them as well my lord?"

The woman patted the armored creature's head and walked up the stairs and entered a chamber with more armored creatures. Unlike the creatures before these new ones were bigger, more muscular and had glowing blue veins and eyes despite resembling the smaller one.

But a voice was heard echoing throughout the chamber "Sire, a scout of Greens report a strange siting, a portal opening near the ruins of the Old Tower of your father and grandfather!"

But a deeper voice was heard as the woman saw a shadow of a three horned creature "What kind of portal Gnarl?"

Kelda entered the room to see a man wearing a full set of armor with a helmet which had three sharp horn-like protrusions making the helmet resemble a crown. The Man's face was shrouded in darkness as his light yellow eyes were the only thing within the darkness behind his helmet.

Standing in front of the man was another one of the creatures but unlike the rest his brown skin had aged to resemble grey. The creature wore no armor but loose tattered robes with a stick with a lantern attached on the end over his head.

The man turned towards Kelda who placed her right hand on her hip while gesturing her left towards Gnarl and greeted "Witch Boy, Gnarl… I have more to add to Gnarl's report."

The man crossed his armored arms as he commanded with a respectful tone "Please do my love."

Kelda walked over to the man and Gnarl and stated "The ghost of Queen Faye has seen the portal and saw what crawled out, a woman wearing a black dress and had white hair, and she wasn't alone, apparently she commands a black serpent with wings."

The man turned around and placed his hands on his hips and took a moment to think as Gnarl and Kelda patiently watched before the man opened his right hand out and ordered "Gnarl, send the Netherghuls!"

Shadow's edge (the Tree of death)

The Herald, Mistress and Arbiter were all seen awaiting their Master's arrival as Lilith and Urul were seen approaching them. But the Tree of Death's roots rose up and formed a portal as the Herald, Mistress and Arbiter instinctually bowed as Oblivio walked through with his hands behind his back.

Oblivio walked passed his champions and saw Lilith who greeted "Welcome to Shadow's edge my Lord, you seem to have changed your form since we last met…"

Oblivio walked passed Urul and Lilith and responded coldly "After I devoured the Forge Lands I was able to create this new body with much power left to spare… but recent events have proven that this body still requires… improvements."

Lilith eyed Urul who growled lowly as she asked "And what sort of improvements?"

Oblivio stopped as he looked around the hellish landscape and responded "That is not your concern, Demon! You should know that Death and his lover Bayonetta should be arriving upon this world soon, they are close to gaining the Angel Key."

Lilith rubbed her chin and responded "Well then I shall make preparations… but I must stress that you must not devour Blackstone keep… I do not possess the Demon Key but the former Lord of this world, (walks towards Oblivio) Samael certainly would and luckily his Keep is designed to have his time portals."

Oblivio increased in size as he floated over the lands below while he grew the point of being nearly the same size as the planet. However his body vanished into the Shadow realm but not before a blackhole formed explosively sucking up chunks of stone and abandoned Demonic structures.
