At the Barrymore Theatrical Supplies, Darkstar was hiding out, safe from the Omni-Team, flipping through what seems to be a spellbook, skimming the contents until his eyes widened and he placed the book on a pedestal.

Suddenly, however, Kevin burst through the doors of the warehouse and smirked at the team.

"Darkstar! Just the creep I've been looking for!"

"And now that you've found me?" Darkstar asked.

"I'm gonna put you out of my misery once and for all. You're going back to the Null Void where you belong."

Darkstar sprinted off and Kevin used his mace hands to slam down several pillar props, wrecking everything.

"Stand still! You've got this beatdown coming!"

"I'd almost forgotten how tedious you can be, Levin," Darkstar said before blasting the Osmosian with a blast of dark energy, sending him crashing into a sarcophagus prop.

"Pretty careless of you to let me track you down, Morningstar."

"Hardly careless," Darkstar said, keeping his attack up. "Otherwise, I'd never have left a trail so obvious even an imbecile like you could have followed it. I wanted you to find me Kevin. Both our lives depend on it."

"Darkstar, if this is just another one of your tricks-"

"I assure you, I am entirely sincere. If I release you, will you at least hear me out?"

"You have one minute. Go," Kevin said as Darkstar stopped his assault.

"My question is a simple one: do you like being trapped in your current hideous form?"

"About as much as you like being a butt-ugly energy sucking vampire. No offense."

"None taken. But that is precisely my point. What would you say if I told you there was a way for both of us to become normal again?"

"How?"

"Follow me," Darkstar said before showing Kevin a certain artifact within the pages of his book. "This is the Dominius Librium, an ancient instrument of extraordinary power, decidedly of alien origin."

"Looks like an oversized wishbone."

"Legend has it that the Librium was actually a sophisticated power conduit, capable of transferring extraordinary energies from one vessel to another."

"Thanks for the history lesson," Kevin said, beginning to walk away.

"But it's history no longer. After a great deal of effort and expense, I have managed to track the artifact to an isolated island recently arisen in the South Pacific."

"Losing interest here."

"You shouldn't. Because I believe this relic has the power to restore the two of us to normal."

Kevin gained a shocked look on his face as he turned back to Darkstar.

"Not that I don't trust you (which I don't), but why are you telling me all this?"

"Because, quite frankly, I can't get to the artifact alone. I require your unique abilities to retrieve the Librium. And I am willing to trade you the cure for your help."

"Selfish motive. At least that makes sense."

"So what say you? Are you willing to briefly put aside our differences in order to be cured?"

"Got a feeling I'm gonna regret this but okay. I'm in."

"And your sister and your friends, the Tennysons?"

"They're just gonna have to get along without me for awhile."

"Come on! Pick up!" Gwen shouted into her phone. "Pick up!"

"Well?" Ally asked, leaning against the garage wall. "Any luck, Gwen?"

"Nothing. Kevin's Plumber Badge isn't responding."

"Well, try it again," Ben said.

"Kevin never misses out on Omni-Team missions," Jen said. "He should be here."

"It is like him to drop off on shady business, but not when we're about to go on a mission," Becky noted.

"Well, we're not his babysitters, guys," Gwen said. "If he wants to ignore us, who am I to judge?"

"Fine," Ben said as he walked over to his car along with Jen. "Then he'll just have to miss out on the fun."

"Yeah. The Forever Knights aren't going to kick their own butts," Ally sighed as she walked over to her bike and placed her helmet on her head.

"Come on," Jen said from the wheel of Pink Angel with Becky in the shotgun seat as Gwen walked over to the DX-Mark 10 and got into it as the three vehicles drove to the Forever Knight's castle.

Meanwhile, Kevin and Darkstar were flying in a stolen ship to the island rumored to contain the Dominus Librium, landing on the island's beach before exiting the aircraft.

Walking through the forest, Darkstar destroyed a bush as he and Kevin continued towards the Librium, and Kevin took notice of the peculiar looking tiki heads leading up to the temple.

"So where are we? Easter Island?" Kevin asked.

"Actually, Rapa Nui is several hundred miles from here," Darkstar explained. "This island had been submerged for centuries. A recent undersea upheaval brought it to the surface."

"Oh, so it's more like Groundhog Day Island?" Kevin joked, looking at the tiki heads. "Ugly suckers, aren't they?"

"Who are we to judge stones?"

"Good point. Let's get what we came for and get out."

"Wait," Darkstar warned as they approached the temple. "Tread carefully. Those who built this temple did not take kindly to strangers."

"This isn't the first time I've done this, dude," Kevin said, taking one step. "I know what I'm-"

He then accidentally stepped on a piece of the floor that sunk into the ground.

"Oops."

All of the tiki heads started rising from the ground, obviously stone sentinels to guard the temple and Kevin and Darkstar stood back to back.

"This can't be good!"

"Run!"

The two set off, jumping and ducking under the sentinel's legs, avoiding them at every turn.

Kevin morphed his arm into an axe and hit a sentinel's fist just as it punched him, destroying the fist.

"We're getting outnumbered here, dude!" Kevin shouted.

Darkstar pointed to the temple. "Inside! The sentinels are too large to follow us!"

Kevin morphed his arm into his mace hand and leaped up, destroying a sentinel's arm just as another sentinel blocked the way to the temple. Kevin then slid on his legs and slammed the sentinel's legs with a smirk.

That smirk didn't last long as the sentinel fell backwards, right in Kevin's path.

"Look out!" Darkstar shouted as he tackled Kevin right into the temple just as the sentinel hit the ground.

"Well," Kevin chuckled. "That was something."

"And there is the prize we seek," Darkstar said as they looked at the Dominus Librium resting on a pedestal that was held by a giant statue.

"Whoa," Kevin said, admiring the artifact they came for.

"Impressive, is it not?"

"Yeah," Kevin said as Darkstar blasted a dark energy blast that was completely dissipated from the pillar of light that was projected around the Librium.

"Now you see why I require your assistance?"

"Fine," Kevin said, beginning to climb the pillar the Librium rested on. "I'll get it."

As Kevin climbed the pillar to the pedestal, he took notice of the foul smell near the top.

"Man! It smells like a monkey's armpit up here!"

"Quickly! The Librium!"

Kevin wasted no time and took the Librium from the pedestal, holding it in the air.

"Got it!"

As soon as the words left his lips, the light dispersed and the pillar sunk into the ground and the statue's hands started closing around kevin.

"...I don't even know why I'm surprised."

As Kevin struggled in the statue's grasp, Darkstar reacted quickly and blasted an energy blast at the cupped hands, sending Kevin falling to his feet, the Librium safe in his hands.

"Are you alright?"

"Better than ever," Kevin said, holding up the artifact, which Darkstar stared at longingly.

Suddenly, pillars of water started shooting up around them as the temple started crumbling at the seems.

"This gizmo must have been holding the place together!" Kevin realized.

"Run!" Darkstar shouted as the floor started falling apart behind them as they ran away as fast as their legs could carry them.

As they ran out of the temple, the water raining down on them from the temple, they each swiftly avoided the punches and blows of the tiki statues outside, heaidng towards the space ship.

Soon, they were swept away by the water bursting in pillars from the ground.

"This entire island is sinking!" Darkstar realized as they drifted towards the ship and quickly leaped inside it.

"Get this crate airborne now!"

Darkstar obliged and the ship took off and blasted off in the other direction right back towards Bellwood, the island sinking into the ocean behind them.

After landing the ship in a forest outside Bellwood, Kevin and Darkstar examined the Dominus Librium.

"No one will bother us here. It's time to put the artifact to good use."

"Do you even know what you're doing with that thing?"

"Absolutely. It's designed to balance our powers. It allows me to absorb enough energy from you to make you normal again while the influx of your energies restores me to normal as well, effectively shutting down both of our powers permanently."

"So where's the on-switch?" Kevin asked, arms on hips.

"Just take hold of the opposite end of the Librium."

Kevin hesitated for a minute.

"Do it!"

Kevin sighed and grabbed the other end of the Librium.

"Okay, now what?"

The Librium then began to glow with a golden light.

"Now... the magic happens."

Kevin and Darkstar groaned as the Librium's glow enveloped the both of them.

"Can you feel it? The Librium's transferring your excess energy into me."

"It... hurts!"

"Nothing... worth having... is gained... without effort!" Darkstar reassured.

A few seconds later, the materials on Kevin's skin started to break off in chunks.

"Wait! Stop it! Stop! AAAGGH!"

When Kevin came to, he found the Librium lying on the ground and later looked to see Darkstar standing close by.

"What part of 'Wait, stop, no!' Don't you understand? Huh?"

Kevin looked at his hands as he grasped Darkstar's shirt and saw the human-looking skin. He felt at his body and sighed in relief at the normal skin.

"My-my face! I'm human again!"

"As I promised," Darkstar stated.

"I can't morph, can't absorb! I-I'm cured!"

Darkstar took off his mask, revealing the normal Michael Morningstar underneath.

"Now that neither of us can absorb, we can both get on with our lives. And I owe it all to you."

Mike stuck out his hand and Kevin sighed and shook it.

"Okay, sure-"

Unfortunately, Mike sucker punched Kevin right in the face and then took the Librium from the ground.

"Our association has hereby concluded. It would be wise of you and your friends to never again cross my path."

Kevin stood up and felt at his eye, which had gone black from the punch.

At Omni-Manor, the team stood at various stations in the living room doing their activities as Ben sighed as he played video games with Jen.

"Still no word from Kevin?"

"Not a peep. I'm really starting to get worried," Gwen said, looking at her Plumber's badge.

"About me?" they heard as they saw Kevin standing in the shadows at the headquarters' entrance, now dressed in his mechanic clothes. "I'm touched."

"Kevin!" Jen said, standing up as she paused the game. "Where have you been?"

"And where'd you get the black eye?" Becky asked as they all surrounded him.

"Is that supposed to make you look tougher? Because it's not working on us," Ally said, taking off her boxing gloves.

Gwen stood up and her eyes glowed pink as she scanned Kevin's mana... until she realized exactly what she was touching.

"Oh... I can feel your skin. You're not wearing your ID Mask."

"Nope. I'm back to human."

"So how'd you do it?" Ben asked.

"Yeah. Gwen here has been working on a cure for months now," Becky said.

"Yeah, and I'm no closer than when I started."

"Hey, what can I say? I wished upon a star last night and woke up this morning my old gorgeous self."

Kevin touched the wall and everyone looked as they saw the material didn't absorb into his skin.

"See? No transformation. No powers, no nothing."

"Really?" Jen asked, crossing her arms.

"Hey, I'm better. That's all that matters, right?"

"And that black eye you're sporting?" Ally asked.

"Oh, that? I was so excited to be human again that I, uh... walked smack into an open door."

"Hey, it's a small price to pay, huh?" Ben said as he and Jen walked to the door.

"So, any Plumber business we have to take care of or what?"

"Kevin, we're superheroes, we always have work to take care of," Jen said.

"We'll fill you in on the way."

"Let's go," Ally said, cracking her knuckles as Becky walked to the garage as well.

"So, the Forever Knights are at it again, huh?" Kevin asked his teammates as they suited up to hide their identities.

"Yep," Morphina said. "We got to the robbery too late last night."

"They were already gone," Hero Core said.

"Not that we're pointing fingers or anything," Lucky Girl said.

"Fine. Okay, I should have been there helping you guys. Let's go," Kevin said.

"Not so fast," Huntress said, blocking Kevin with her spear. "You're not going anywhere."

"Becky's right. Without your powers, you're more vulnerable than ever," Matter Girl said. "You'd better wait here."

"What? But I-"

"We mean it," Lucky Girl said as the team walked into the ware house.

"Great? So what am I supposed to do?"

"Tech support," Morphina called back.

Inside, the Forever Knights started loading crates filled with who knows what into the backs of several trucks.

The Omni-Team ducked for cover behind a security booth and the team looked to each other.

"They're almost finished loading," Lucky Girl said.

"Okay, if we're going to do something about this, it has to be done now," Huntress said.

"Then I guess it's time for-" Hero Core said as he slammed the core down and transformed into...

"Big Chill!? Oh, why do I never get what I ask for?"

The Forever Knights opened fire on the team as Morphina slammed her core down and transformed into...

"Rockette!"

She fired a sound wave from her guitar as the others dispersed, Lucky Girl putting up a forcefield to protect the team from laser lance blasts.

Lucky Girl fired out mana bolts and Huntress somersaulted forwards and fired her arrows out that slammed the Forever Knights back into the walls.

As several other Knights prepared to fire away, they were instantly frozen in place by Big Chill.

"I hate a cold reception."

Matter Girl shouted out as she slammed them with metal fists that she morphed into large boxing gloves that she used to slam the Knights back, only for a few more to appear behind her.

"Hey, tin men!"

The Knights behind Matter Girl were slammed backwards by Kevin with a large metal pipe.

"That wasn't very chivalrous for knights," Kevin said, dusting off his hands.

"What part of stay at the cars do you not understand?!"

"Yeah, like that was going to happen. How long have you guys known me?"

"Run away! Run away!" A Knight shouted as he got into a fork lift and the others ran inside the trucks.

"Time to put you creeps on ice!" Rockette shouted as she adjusted her guitar and she fired an ice blast from her guitar as Big Chill froze the trucks solid, trapping everyone inside.

"Nice," Kevin said as Big Chill backflipped as he and his sister transformed back and took off their helmets.

"Good thing their engine didn't start," Becky said, flipping her hair behind her ears.

"Trust me, guys. they weren't going anywhere without their distributor cap," Kevin said, holding up the cap.

"Once again, Kevin, you have proven your worth," Jen smiled.

"Powers or not,, you're still an important part of the Omni-Team. We need you," Ben said, placing a hand on Kevin's shoulder.

"Let's get out of here," Ally said as they walked back to their vehicles.

Lucky Girl, however, continued looking on, unsure.

As the team arrived back at Gwen and Becky's house, Kevin looked back to Gwen with a smile as Ally groaned and laid her head on the handlebars.

"Hey, Gwen? How about a movie or something later?" Kevin asked.

Gwen laid a hand on Kevin's lovingly... only to catch a brief glimpse of something troubling.

"I... can't. I've got an errand to run."

"Okay, you're loss. You did notice that I'm really good looking again, right?"

"Yes, we get it already," Becky groaned.

"We'll see you later, Kevin," Jen said as Kevin drove off.

"Yeah... after I make sure you can live with whatever it is you've done."

"You sure this is the place?" Becky asked as they looked up at the Barymore Theatrical Supplies buliding.

"Michael's manor lead me to him like a beacon. I can feel he's in there."

"Okay, if you say so," Becky said as Gwen led her up several mana platforms as they jumped the gate before bursting inside.

Mike was admiring himself in the mirror with a trench coat on as he saw the two sisters glaring at him.

"Ah, Lovely Gwen. And her sister. I've been expecting you."

"I'll just bet you have," Gwen said. "Kevin's aura positively reeks of you. Tell us what you did to him and maybe we'll go easy on you."

"Tell you? Maybe it would be better if I just showed you."

Mike took his trench coat off and showed the Dominus Librium on his chest.

"Kevin has the Dominus Librium to thank. It absorbed his power and transferred it to me."

"What?" Becky asked.

"I can no longer absorb energy on my own, but the artifact can still do it for me."

Gwen put a shield up as Mike blasted her with the Librium's energy beam. However, this beam instantly absorbed each and every shield she conjured before Gwen herself was instantly engulfed in the yellow aura.

"Finally, sweet Gwen. Finally all your power is about to become mine forever!"

"No!" Becky said, ducking to hide from Mike as she reached for her Plumber's badge, only to get blasted to the wall by Mike before falling unconscious.

"Ah, ah, ah. There will be no interruptions this time."

"Still no answer?" Kevin asked Ben, who was calling Gwen as Jen and Ally stood in their chairs.

"Nothing. Everything's going to voicemail," Ben said.

"And Gwen and Becky have their badges turned off, so we can't track them that way."

"This is all my fault," Kevin sighed.

"What? That Gwen had to run an errand?" Jen asked.

"No, Jen. That she went to do something stupid.M "

"Well, none of us are strangers to that," Ally said.

"Not helping," Ben whispered.

"Kevin, what did you do?" Jen asked.

"Fine. I made a deal with Mike Morningstar, okay? Gwen must have found out somehow and brought Becky with her to find him."

"You what?!" his teammates shouted.

"Everyone knows you can never trust Darkstar with anything!" Jen said. "No matter how tempting the offer may be."

"We've got to find them. And fast," Ben agreed.

"Okay," Ben said, cracking his knuckles. "The fastest way to find Gwen and Becky is with flying aliens. So..."

"Right," Jen said with a wink as she closed her eyes and sighed. "AeroForce."

"Jetray," Ben said as they both transformed, using the Master Control and they transformed into their signature aliens.

"Ready?"

"Follow me and Ally," Kevin said as Ally got into the passenger seat of Kevin's car. "I think I know where they're going."

Gwen tossed several objects at Mike with her telekinesis as she threw a bolt at a chandelier above, swinging it as Becky leaped up off a platform and freed it from its hinge with an arrow before Darkstar destroyed it.

Gwen shouted out as her Fire Charm tattoo glowed and she fired a blast of fire at Mike, only for the librium to absorb that too."

"You'll never defeat me! Not with the Dominus Librium in my possession."

The Librium grabbed Gwen as she screamed out in pain.

"NO!" the sisters shouted in horror as Mike brought Gwen closer to him.

"I knew you'd be looking for me, Lovely Gwen. Kevin was too stupid not to let something slip.

"Hey, I resent that!" Kevin shouted as Mike turned to see Ben, Jen, Kevin and Ally running in as Ally sliced the energy and took Gwen in her arms.

"You okay?"

"I'm fine, Ally. Thanks."

"You may look human again on the outside," Ben began.

"But deep down, you're still the same miserable creep we all know and hate," Jen said.

"Sticks and stones, twins."

"Don't have any on us right now," Ben said. "So you'll just have to settle for..."

The twins slammed their cores down and transformed into...

"Swampfire!" the Methanosian announced.

"Discharge!" the lightning demon alien shouted.

"Hey, it worked," Swampfire said.

"Plenty of time for patting yourselves on the back after we kick Morningstar's butt!" Ally shouted.

"Right," Discharge shouted as her brother tossed a bunch of fireballs at Mike and she fired several lightning bolts, only for him to block everything with the Librium.

"Thank you for giving me your power, Lovely Gwen. It tastes... delicious."

Gwen groaned as her teammates stood at attention.

"And while you're at it, Benjamin and Jennifer, perhaps I'll take yours as well."

He shot two more rays at Swampfire and Discharge who screamed in pain as they felt all their energy being drained out of them as they were dragged over to Mike.

"That's it your children. Give me all your power!"

"Guys!" Becky shouted.

"No. NOOOO!" Gwen shouted as she once again began to go zombie-like.

"What do I do? What can I do?" Kevin pondered.

"What do you think? Help them!" Ally said. "We can't do anything. You can!"

"But without my powers, I'm useless."

Mike levitated upwards in the air and his victims groaned in pain.

"Just do it!" Becky shouted as Kevin nodded and ran up to Gwen.

"Hang on, guys, I'm here!"

"I wouldn't advise that, Kevin," Mike warned. "The balance of power through the Dominus Librium is very delicate. If you disrupt the flow in any way, the consequences could be catastrophic."

"I don't care!" Kevin shouted, leaping over the golden shield Mike was projecting. "Nothing else matters as long as my friends are safe!"

"Kevin, don't..." Gwen said.

"Stop, you'll ruin everything!" Mike shouted.

"You said it yourself, jerk. Our association is hereby concluded."

Kevin leaped upwards into Mike's grasp and grabbed the Librium on both ends as Gwen, Swampfire and discharge fell to the ground.

The massive feedback of the resulting energy sent everyone bracing themselves back, Swampfire's head reduced to a bunch of vines.

"NOOOO!" Mike shouted as everyone was sent flying back and all the windows shattered as the Librium was liberated (no pun intended) from Mike's chest.

When everyone came to, Gwen ran up to Kevin and helped him up.

"Kevin, are you..." she trailed off before gasping as Kevin stood up.

"What? What's..." Kevin asked before feeling at his face before realizing he was back to his mutated self. "Oh, I figured that might happen."

"I'm so sorry. If it wasn't for me..."

"No, don't," Kevin insisted. "I did what I had to do. And I'd do it again in a second."

"No!" Darkstar shouted as everyone gathered as he looked into a broken mirror to see himself back to his zombie-like state. "Look, look what you did to me!"

He went back over to his mask and placed it back on his head.

"You will pay for this," he shouted, running out the door. "Someday, you will all pay!"

"Think we should go after him?" Becky asked Kevin.

"Na. He's not gonna be a threat to anyone for a long time."

"Kevin?" Ben asked as he and Jen stood up and realized what happened. "What happened to you?"

"Karma, guys," Kevin said. "Let's leave it at that. Come on, let's get to Mr. Smoothie. The first round's on me."

"I heard that," Ally said as everyone ran out of the warehouse.
