Arrival

"Ah shit." Stacie groaned out in pain as she placed a hand on her stomach.

"Stace? What's wrong?" Beca asked quickly as she ran in into the room from the bathroom.

"Contractions." Stacie said through her breaths.

"Still bad?" Beca asked rubbing the other girls back.

"Worse." Stacie said.

"Hold on." Beca said before rushing downstairs to grab an ice pack. She sprinted back upstairs and handed it over to Stacie.

Beca watch as Stacie used it to cool off, something that always helped with her contractions. This had definitely been the worse part of the pregnancy for both girls, Stacie would get the worse contractions that would sometimes bring tears out of her while Beca would always drop whatever she was doing to help her friend through them. By this point Stacie was already at the nine-month mark and was due any second, an event both girls couldn't wait for. They also only had two months left before graduating college and hopefully starting their careers.

"Any better?" Beca asked softly.

Stacie nodded "Yeah thank you." She said taking a deep breath.

Beca simply nodded as she turned off the bathroom lights before heading towards the bedroom door.

"Becs?" Stacie called out just as Beca was about to leave her room.

"Sup?" Beca asked as she turned to face the girl.

"Can you please stay here tonight?" Stacie asked softly.

Beca gave her a small smile and nod "Of course Stace." She said as she headed towards Stacie's bed.

"Thank you." Stacie smiled.

The two laid down and eventually Stacie fell asleep shortly after. Beca meanwhile did the same nightly routine she'd been doing for the past couple weeks, she checked to make sure the emergency bag was all prepared for when Stacie went into labor, she made sure all the paper and insurance cards were together and organized and lastly made sure that her surprise for Stacie was still ready to go.

Once she made sure everything was in place and ready, she crawled back into bed taking one last look at her best friend.

A few hours later Beca was woken up by Stacie groaning.

"Ah Becs." Stacie groaned shaking the smaller girl awake.

Beca woke up with a jolt "What? What's wrong?" She asked quickly turning on the light.

Stacie placed a hand on her stomach "My water, it broke."

"For real? You sure you didn't just pee yourself?" Beca once again asked quickly.

"Yes I'm sure Rebecca!" Stacie said with a serious face "I'm twenty-one years old, I know when I've peed myself. Now if you don't get me to the hospital, I'll rip your hair off that little thick skull of yours."

Beca quickly got off the bed "Ok ok Geez women." Beca made her way towards Stacie.

"God I can't wait for these mood swings to go away." She thought to herself.

She helped Stacie out of bed and down the stairs towards her car.

"I just need to get the bag and paperwork, need anything at all?" Beca asked.

"No just hurry please." Stacie cried out.

Beca nodded before sprinting inside grabbing the bag, paperwork and their phones along with chargers. She quickly ran out the door locking it before getting into the car and starting it up. She connected her phone by Bluetooth and dialed up Stacie's parents.

"Beca?" Stacie's mom answered sleepily.

"Hey Manda, sorry to wake you but we're on the way to the hospital, Stacie's water broke." Beca said as she drove quickly to avoid any red lights.

"Oh my god seriously?" She asked.

"Yup, it's actually happening." Beca said.

"Ok thank you for letting us know, we'll be there soon." Amanda said.

Beca ended the call and took a quick glance towards Stacie who was laying across the back seat of her car.

"How you doing back there?" Beca asked.

"How do you think Mitchell?" Stacie shot back through gritted teeth.

Beca raised her brows "Well alright then."

"Sorry." Stacie said through her breaths.

Five short minutes later the two arrived with Beca parking in front of the doors. She quickly ran inside and spoke to the receptionist who told Beca that everything was already prepared for Stacie. Beca with the help of a doctor got Stacie on a wheelchair and into her room.

"I got to go actually park the car now and get everything alright?" Beca told Stacie.

Stacie nodded "Ok, let my parents know we're here already?"

"Of course I will." Beca said with a smile placing a kiss on Stacie's head.

Beca went back down and parked the car making sure to get everything they needed as she really didn't want to be going back and forth. She also made sure to let the Conrad's know they were here and what room number they were in.

Beca made her way back to the room and placed the bag down on one of the chairs and pulled up the other one next to Stacie.

"Parents are on their way, bag is there, and all the insurance stuff is ready." Beca announced.

"Glad to hear." Stacie said with sigh.

"What did the doctor say?" Beca asked.

"Not completely dilated yet, she said it should be another twenty or so minutes before I have to start." Stacie answered.

"How you feeling?" Beca asked.

"Honestly, nervous but excited at the same time. Excited to finally have the baby in my arms and find out what gender it is, but nervous about the whole being a mom thing." Stacie answered.

Stacie had decided to wait to find out the gender because she thought it'd make giving birth that much more special.

"Hey, you'll be a great mother alright. You have nothing to worry about all you have to be is yourself and that baby will absolutely love you just like we all do." Beca said.

Twenty minutes later the Conrad's arrived at the same time the doctor came into the room.

"Let's see where we're at." The doctor said as she put on her gloves.

"Well, seems like it's time Stacie." The doctor said with a smile.

"Ok I got this." Stacie said quietly trying to calm herself down.

"You got this Conrad." Beca said with a smirk.

"Now, only two people can be in here." The doctor said.

Beca patted Stacie on the shoulder as she stood up.

"Where do you think you're going?" Stacie asked.

Beca furrowed her brows "Uh outside, you heard the doc only two people can be in here." Beca answered.

"So?" Stacie asked back.

"Well, your parents are here, so that's two people." Beca answered slowly a bit confused.

"Oh Beca." Stacie's dad said with a chuckle.

"What?" Beca asked.

"Sit your ass down and hold my hand Mitchell." Stacie said sternly.

"Like she would really pick anyone but you to be by her side." Stacie's dad said as he gave Stacie a kiss on the head and said some words of encouragement to her.

Beca smiled and looked towards Stacie and held her hand giving it a squeeze. Stacie shot Beca one last smile.

"I'm right here." Beca said quietly.

"Ok let's start shall we." The doctor said as she got everything ready.

About thirty minutes later after countless pushes and crying Stacie was about ready to give up.

Beca who felt like she would never be able to use her right hand after this due to Stacie's vice like grip on it, leaned close to the taller girl.

"Relax and breathe Stace, the baby is almost here ok. Your baby is almost here all you have to do is push through this and you get to meet them." Beca said softly.

"Ok Stacie, one last push." The doctor said.

"Ahhhh." Stacie screamed out as she gave one last hard push before falling back down on the bed.

The room was instantly filled with the sound of a baby crying.

"Congratulations Stacie, you've got yourself a little girl." The doctor announced.

Amanda instantly let out a happy cheer at the fact that she now had a granddaughter. Beca let out a chuckle at the sight of it and then looked over at Stacie.

"Got yourself a little Stacie." Beca smirked.

Stacie smiled "I can't believe it."

"Well believe it." The doctor said holding up the scissors "Who's doing the honor?"

"I want Beca to cut the cord." Stacie said.

Beca looked shock "Really?"

"It's only right." Stacie said with a smile.

Beca nodded and made her way over to the doctor grabbing the scissors and cutting right where the doctor instructed.

"Now do we have a name for the little one?" The doctor asked.

Stacie nodded as this was something she had planned out a couple of weeks after she found it.

"Bella Jade Conrad." Stacie said with a smile.

"Very well." The doctor said as she handed Stacie her baby "I'll be back once I get the paperwork all set."

"Thank you." All three of them said at the same time.

Stacie looked down towards her daughter as tears started to fall down her cheeks.

"Hey, sweetheart it's your mom. I just want to tell you that I already love you more than words can describe. I know things may not always be easy for us and I may not be the best mom because I still don't know what to do with myself half the time, but I'll always love you and do my best to make sure you have everything your precious heart desires." Stacie said softly.

"I'll give you some time and get dad." Amanda said wiping the tears off her cheeks.

Beca meanwhile was yet to say one word as she was just staring at the little girl in her best friend's arms.

Stacie looked over to Beca "Hey you alright?"

Beca just nodded "You gave her my middle name?"

Stacie smiled "I decided on that right after we spoke to my parents and broke the news. I gave her that name after you because of everything you've done for me, for being the best friend I could ever ask for, for literally putting everything in the back burner just to be by my side these past nine months and lastly for just being you. I want her to know how meaningful that name is to me and just why she has that name. I hope you don't mind." Stacie said.

Beca shook her head "I'm honored. Stace, you don't know how much this means to me."

"I'm glad you don't mind. Now here your turn." Stacie said.

Beca got up and carefully took Bella into her arms and sat back down. She looked down at the baby who let out a squeal like noise and reached out towards her hoodie strings.

"Hey Bella, I'm so glad your finally here and that I can actually hold you." Beca said as now it was her turn to have tears trickle down her cheeks "I can't wait to see you grow up and spend time with you, don't worry I'll be the cool one that you can come to when mom has a stick up her butt." Beca said before getting interrupted by Stacie.

"Hey!" Stacie exclaimed.

"I know you probably don't even understand what I'm saying or will ever remember this but please have patience with your mom, it may not always be easy and at times it may seem like certain things are unfair but remember how much she loves you and how hard this is one her. She means well and you're lucky to have a mom like her, take it from someone who's thankful to have her as a friend, you won't do better than her." Beca kept talking to Bella quietly but just loud enough for Stacie to hear.

Hearing that part brought new tears to Stacie's eyes, seeing Beca with Bella just felt right to the taller girl and she couldn't ask for more.

"Just know that you'll always be surrounded by people who love you and will do anything to make you happy and protect you. If you ever need anything then I'll be sure you have it. Love you little one. And please don't have your mom's height, I don't need another giant in my life." Beca said with a chuckle.

She looked up towards Stacie just as her parents came in. The two of them quickly took the baby their arms before the doctor came and took her to make sure everything was ok.

Once everyone was out the room it was just Stacie and Beca.

"You good?" Beca asked.

Stacie nodded and looked over to her "Never better."
