49.- Imam Talib
It's another peaceful day for Talib, who's just a merciful servant of Allah. He's in charge of caretaking Karak Nuh, the resting place of Prophet Noah. If accounts of locals from immemorial times are correct, the Ark should be below the temple. Thus, the tomb has a holy eeriness in its green walls. A green that somehow combines with the tank top of one Lara Croft.
"You should abide by the dress code, Lady," Imam Talib says. "We are in holy grounds." Lara kneels. "I am aware," Lara says. "But I am in a bit of a hurry. There was no time to grab the proper apparel." Imam Talib looks at Lara with mercy. It is the first time in his life he hears there is a hurry to come to Karak Nuh. Urgent matters are usually dealt with solemnity, with submission. "Lack of Islam causes desperation," the Imam says. "You must become a Muslim, submit yourself to Allah."
"I don't have time for submission!" Lara says. "I need answers, fast!" Talib looks at Lara with even more mercy. "You will find the answers you need in here," Talib says. "Just open your heart to Allah." "I just don't know how," Lara says. "And now, it's when I need it the most. I need a miracle. To save the world, from the Nephilim, from the Jinn. I saw them, I heard them. And I need to stop them." Urgency, fear, the eyes of a lady that has lost Islam. Imam Talib is finding it hard to speak to her, but at least he rejoices in the lady who understands what is lacking in the first place.
But when Allah's will and way is in the game, miracles can happen. A piece of stone, the upper part of the tomb, which is on the floor, starts moving, and a crevice is shown. Imam Talib nods at her. "Go!" he says. Lara grapples her axe in the edge of the crevice and rappels down. "Imam!" Lara shouts. "You won't believe this! It's there! And intact! It's…" The axe gives way, and the stone piece closes the crevice.
AHHHHHHHH!
Imam Talib praises Allah, and prays that the lost girl finds her way back to Islam.
