Chapter 51-New Groups

Jesus's P.O.V

Jesus drives down the road past the welcome to Georgia sign. They have been traveling for a month. They have walked, ran, and drove. They found a minivan about 100 miles back. "Do you have any idea where we are going?" Aiden asks from the back.

"We just got to Georgia. We'll see if any place here is worth staying at," Jesus says.

"It will be winter real soon," Carson says.

"I know that is why we need to find somewhere to stay," Jesus says to them as the car starts to stop. "And we are out of gas," Jesus says as he opens the car door and gets out. He pulls out his knife as he sees a walker coming towards him. He stabs it in the head and drops it to the ground. "I guess we are on foot again," Jesus says as he starts to walk. Carson and Aiden follow him down the road.

"You know we have been traveling together for a month, and you two haven't told me anything about where you came from," Aiden says.

"We came from a community called Hilltop," Jesus tells him. They have been into the woods and walked through it slowly, making sure not to make a noise. "The leader was a coward, and he bowed to Negan like he was a king. I decided to leave, and Carson followed me. There isn't much else to the place. Negan controls it, and at one point, he'll control Alexandria too," Jesus says.

"Jesus would leave for supplies, and I was the doctor," Carson tells them. Aiden was about to say something but Jesus held his hand up.

"Get behind a tree," Jesus says as he goes behind a tree, followed by the other two.

"Claimed," A man says, not too far in front of them.

"Nice rabbit, you got there, Len," Another man says.

"Yes, it is," Len says. Jesus looks at Carson and Aiden.

Bobby's Group

Bobby drives down the road with Lee, Adam, Clem, and Noah in the car. Noah and Clem had gotten sick, and they had to hold up in a house for a few weeks. They were close to Howard Lake now. Bobby looks at Noah. "How are you feeling, kid?" Bobby asks.

"Better. I think both Clem and I are feeling better," Noah says as he looks at Clem, who nods.

"Good, hopefully, Dean and Sam have a doctor that can look at you," Bobby says.

"That is if they are there. We don't know this place could have been overrun," Adam says.

"Try thinking positive, Adam. It will make your life a little bit better," Bobby says to Adam, who looks out the window. Bobby glances at Adam and sighs. The boy has become colder since they found out John had died, and Bobby hopped that seeing his brothers again would fix that. Bobby turns his head towards the road as a car ramps the side of the truck they were in, sending them off the road and upside down. Bobby looks at the door as they open, and the world goes black.

Jesus's P.O.V

Jesus, Aiden and Carson stayed behind the tree as the men set up camp. "I'm going to take a piss," One of the men says. He walks towards them. Jesus pulls out his knife as the man walks past the three. Jesus grabs him by his mouth and pulls him towards him. He stabs the man in the heart, and the man goes limp. Jesus stabs him in the head and lays him down. He pulls the Ak-47 off of him and the handgun and throws it to Carson and a handgun to Aiden.

"We don't know if they are bad people," Aiden says.

"I don't want to take the risk," Jesus says. "We've traveled so far. I'm not taking this risk," Jesus pulls the knife off the man. "Do you?" He asks the two men who don't say anything.

"Lou! How long does it take to piss?" One of the men asks.

"He probably fell to the ground, Joe," Len says.

"You should leave," Carson says. Jesus looks at him. "We don't want any trouble, and neither do you,"

"Well, friend, how about you come out here and talk to us. I'm guessing Lou is dead. He was a bastard anyway, and we didn't even hear you. That is pretty impressive. I'm Joe," Joe says.

"Carson," Jesus says.

"I'm Harlan Carson," Carson says.

"Well, Harlan or Carson. Which do you prefer?" Joe asks.

"Carson," Carson says.

"Well, why don't you come out? Come sit down with us?" Joe asks.

"How do I know you won't kill me?" Carson asks.

"I give you my word. I am no liar, Carson," Joe says. "My group give you their word as well,"

"I'm coming out," Carson says. He looks at Jesus and Aiden. "Take your chance and leave," Carson steps out and looks at Joe.

"Well, I expected something different. Come sit down," Joe says. Carson walks over to them and sits down. "So, Carson, you killed our friend. Do you have something to offer us that he didn't?" Joe asks as Jesus and Aiden slowly move.

"I'm a doctor," Carson says.

"A doctor. Now that is a useful skill to have," Joe says with a smile.

"Why did your man say claimed earlier?" Carson asks.

"To keep the peace. I made some rules in this group to keep the peace. If you want something, you calm it. Where you sleep, what you take all of it. Liars are punished, so if I hurt you, I am considered a liar, and that is not acceptable," Joe says. "Now, you're alone, right, Carson?"

"Yes," Carson says.

"Then I'll offer you a home. With us, we could use a man with your skills," Joe says.

"Um," Carson says as he thinks. A gunshot goes off, killing Len. A smoke bomb is thrown in the middle of the camp. Three more of the men are shot. Leaving Joe and a man named Billy.

"Carson run," Jesus says. Carson stands up and runs through the smoke. Billy grabs him, and Carson pulls out his knife and stabs him in the stomach. A bullet hits Joe in the leg, making him go to the ground.

"Carson, I'll kill you," Joe yells as Carson gets to Jesus and Aiden.

"Let's go," Carson says.

"We should kill him," Aiden says.

"They'll turn, and they'll kill him. Come on," Carson says. Jesus and Aiden nod as they run. Joe stands up.

"I'll kill him," Joe says as he starts to run away from his dead group.

Bobby's P.O.V

Bobby opens his eyes and leans up. He sees two men in front of him with two police officers' outfits. "And the last of your friends awake," The man says.

"Who are you?" Bobby asks.

"They are with the hospital that I was in," Noah says.

"Yep. We didn't mean to find you, but Dawn will be so happy that we did. And we'll bring more workers," One of the officers says.

"Fuck you, Gorman," Noah says.

"The old man might not be the best. But you, the girl, and the other two will be good," Gorman says.

"You leave them alone," Bobby says.

"Shut up, old man," Gorman says as he pulls out his gun. "Load 'em up," He says to the other officers. They grab Adam, Lee, Clem, and Noah. "Actually," Gorman aims his gun at Noah and shoots him in the shoulder. Noah goes down the hill to the car.

"Noah!" Adam says.

"Load them up. Noah can die with the old man," Gorman says.

"Adam, stay strong and be smart. I'll find you, and I'll kill these bastards!" Bobby yells. Gorman aims his gun at Bobby and fires the bullet, hitting Bobby in the shoulder and making him go back.

"The dead will get you soon," Gorman says as he goes to the car. Bobby looks at Noah, who had passed out. Bobby takes a deep breath and closes his eyes. Bobby moves towards a broken piece of glass and starts to cut the rope.

"Noah," Bobby says, his breath shaky. "Noah," Bobby says as he cuts the rope. He reaches past the glass and pulls out his bag. He opens his bag and goes over to Noah and turns the boy over, and starts to press the cloth against his shoulder. He feels Noah's neck and feels a pulse. "You're gonna be okay, kid. I know you will," Bobby says. He hears growling and grabs Noah. He pulls the kid behind the car as walkers come down the kill. Bobby pulls out a machete and goes over to the first walker. He stabs it in the head. He felt a pain in his shoulder as he killed the second walker. The third one pushes him to the car, and another one comes at him. Bobby uses his arm to push that one away. It moves back towards him but is shot in the head. Another bullet goes off, killing the other one. Bobby looks up at the road and sees a man. The man comes down.

"Bobby?" Dean says as he looks at Bobby.

"Dean?" Bobby says before he passes out.

"Bobby!" Dean yells. "Abraham! T-dog!" Abraham and T-dog come down the hill. "Get him to the truck. I'll make sure there is no one else," Dean says to them. They nod as they grab Bobby and Dean goes around the car. He sees Noah on the ground. He makes sure Noah is still breathing and grabs him. He gets him up to the bed of the truck and hits the roof. "Go, T-dog!" T-dog turns the car around and heads for the house.

Thanks for reading. Joe will show up again, and the others being taken are setting up a story. I don't have much to save, but the next chapter will start right after this. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
