Shoyo stretched after work that day. Interning at the Deku agency was fun, although there was a lot of manual labor. He couldn't complain, though. He got to watch Deku take down minor villains, hang out with big name heroes, and sleep a full eight hours every night (even if he wasn't always going to bed on time).

Surprisingly, he also enjoyed hanging out with Kageyama, despite the ridiculous bickering they got into constantly. There was something off about the tall boy that Shoyo couldn't quite put his finger on. Kageyama seemed to not want to be roommates with Shoyo, even though they had a sleepover at least once a week. And recently, Kageyama had been purposefully ignoring Shoyo. It reminded Shoyo of the couple of weeks that Yamaguchi avoided Tsukishima.

Only three more days, Shoyo reminded himself. Then I have to go home. He stretched again and was about to slip into some comfortable pajamas, when-

"Guys!" Yamaguchi's panicked voice filled the room. The frazzled looking boy stood in the doorway. "Is Tsukki in here?!"

Kageyama grumbled. He had already drifted to sleep before Yamaguchi came in. "Do you see him in here?" he snapped.

"Oh, no," Yamaguchi muttered. "I knew he'd do something stupid, why didn't I stay with-"

"Wait, why?" Shoyo interrupted. "Wouldn't he be with you?"

"He's not!" Yamaguchi looked down the hall, then back at Shoyo and Kageyama. "We were together this morning, then I had Uravity stuff, and he had Shoto stuff, and he didn't come back, so I-"

"Calm down," Kageyama ordered, sitting up on his bed. His hair stuck up in a strange manner. "Take a deep breath, then explain."

Yamaguchi breathed deeply. "Tsukki was with me this morning. I go to the Uravity agency before he goes to the Todoroki agency every morning, so I said goodbye to him, but he didn't act like normal when I left him. And then I came back and he wasn't there, like normal. Shoto takes him on the late patrols usually, so I did homework in my room. And he still wasn't back after a few hours, so I went to go see when he was getting back, and I saw Shoto." His words started getting more frantic. "He said he already went back to the barracks, and I said he wasn't there, and Shoto said not to worry because he's a hero and everything, but I think something's wrong!"

"Then let's go," Kageyama said, pulling his hero costume on.

Shoyo nodded, putting on his visor. "We'll help you, Yamaguchi."

"Y-you will?" Yamaguchi stuttered, catching his breath again. "Thank you guys-"

Shoyo grabbed his wrist. "Thank us later, Tsukishima could be in trouble." He dragged Yamaguchi out of the room, with Kageyama trailing behind. He then screeched to a halt, with Yamaguchi and Kageyama running into him. "Where are we going?"

Yamaguchi took his wrist back. "I think I know."

Kei fumed, stomping down the street. He would prove to Aika that she was wrong about Akiteru, that he didn't attempt. He knew where Akiteru was found. He knew that if he went in there, he wouldn't find anything in there, and it'll prove it was a villain. And since Akiteru was found in his apartment, Kei had the key.

He bursted into the apartment, through the caution tape. It had paperwork scattered everywhere. Kei recognized some of the papers from the agency. He cautiously walked in, afraid of what he'd see. He knew that Akiteru wouldn't attempt, but something about the state of the house told him something different.

Walking into Akiteru's room, the stench of old, dried blood immediately greeted him. Blood stains and newspapers littered the ground. He walked into the conjoint bathroom. On the small, white sink was a blood stained kitchen knife. There was dried blood all over the sink, on the floor, in the shower, on the toilet. Kei held his mouth and nose shut as the stink of the blood entered his nostrils, making him want to vomit.

He closed the door, inhaling the slightly cleaner and less blood filled air. Sighing, he walked away from the bathroom over to the bed. He heard a small rustling coming from underneath. He crouched down and saw a black shadow dart from behind it and out the window.

"Wait!" Kei shouted, running to the window.

He watched the dark figure dash down the fire escape, and he decided to do the same. Going down as fast as he possibly could and stumbling off of the bottom rung of the last ladder, he ran into the alleyway next to his brother's apartment complex. He thrashed his head around, looking for the dark shadow. Swearing under his breath, he headed back for the ladder.

A soft voice behind him stopped him, however.

"Did you know the guy who lived there?" the voice whispered, so quietly that Kei almost missed it.

Kei turned around to see a boy wearing a black hoodie. "Yeah. He's my brother." He felt the eyes of the boy looking him up and down. "Why?"

"You're a hero?" the boy asked.

"Yes," Kei lied, deciding that if this guy was a threat, it'd be best to intimidate him.

"Ah, good," the boy said, lifting his hood to reveal spiky brown hair. He grinned. "I'm Sekimukai."

"Guardian."

"Okay, Guardian," Sekimukai drawled, "since we know each other now, I need you to come with me."

Kei inspected the other boy with his eyes. "I don't think I should, no."

Sekimukai chuckled. "I don't think I said that correctly." He darted to Kei's side, where Kei threw up a smaller shield wall. Kei felt a stabbing pain in his other side. He looked down to see blood soaking his hero suit, and a smallish knife. Sekimukai took the knife out of Kei's side, forcing Kei to his knees. Sekimukai licked the blood on the knife, and Kei felt his body go limp. "What I meant to say was, you're coming with me."
