"Pikachu use Quick Attack!"
"Quagsire use Slam!"
It was a day almost like any other. Ash was battling another trainer for the world coronation series, and Goh and Chloe were inside from the storm.
The rain water splashed as Pikachu sped forward hitting the Quagsire.
"Now Pikachu use Iron Tail!"
"Quagsire use Mud Bomb!"
Pikachu's attack hit the mud bomb. The latter exploding onto Pikachu.
"You did great work buddy." Ash said picking up Pikachu. "We've got it from here."
At the lab
"So how's the battle going?" Professor Cerise asked.
"So far Ash is winning, it's a two on one battle in his favor." Goh said.
"But Pikachu just went down, did Ash even bring a grass type with him?" Chloe asked.
"Leavanny I choose you!" Ash called out.
"Quagsire use Sludge Wave!"
"Leavanny use Energy Ball!"
The energy ball soared over the sludge wave, hitting Quagsire, while Leavanny was hit hard from the other attack. As a bolt of lightning illuminated the area and the sound of thunder was heard, Ash's opponent got spooked.
"I'm not willing to battle like this! Take the win!" He said running off, Quagsire hot on his tail.
"Leavanny come on back!" Ash called, returning his Pokémon. "Let's head back to the lab."
Back at the lab
"Guys, this is going to sound crazy, but I think I know what's causing this." Ash said, experiencing dejavú.
"What do you think is going on?" Chloe asked.
"Just trust me on this." Ash said leading the group out of the lab.
"What are those!" Goh shouted looking at the figures coming forward.
"Just as I thought. Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorous." Ash said as the trio appeared. "Divide and conquer. Chloe you go after Thundurus, Goh you've got Tornadus, Landorus is mine."
Chloe vs Thundurus
"Corvisquire! Koffing! Lumineon! Come on out!" Chloe called. "Corvisquire use Steel Wing! Koffing use Sludge Bomb! Lumineon use Water Pulse!"
Thundorus took the three hits, before sending a zapping blast at Chloe's pokemon.
"Corvisquire use Hurricane! Koffing use Gyro Ball! Lumineon use Ice Beam!" Chloe had gotten better experience with different moves, but it wasn't enough, Thundorus was still fighting.
'You have the key, open a door for me.' A voice said from seemingly nowhere.
"Who said that!" Chloe said, freaking out looking around, watching Thundorus fly off. "I can't let him get away. Lumineon return!"
Goh vs Tornadus
"Cinderace use Pyro Ball! Registeel use Flash Cannon! Drizzile use Water Gun! Golurk use Mega Punch!"
Goh's Pokémon charged forward, making Tornadus flinch before summoning a strong wind.
"Cinderace use Blaze Kick! Registeel use Zap Cannon! Drizzile use Fury Cutter! Golurk use Shadow Punch!"
Tornadus knocked away Goh's three physical attackers with ease before flying off.
"You're not getting away from me!" Goh shouted running after Tornadus.
Ash vs Landorus
"Glalie use Ice Beam!"
Glalie shot a beam straight at Landorus causing it to fall a bit before Ash's next attack.
"Krookodile and Dragonite use Dragon Claw!"
The two Pokémon struck Landorus from either side, making it crash into the bay, as Tornadus and Thundorus appeared nearby.
"Okay Ash, now what?" Chloe asked.
"They turned into their Therian form, and then I woke up." Ash said.
"You're telling me this happened in a dream!" Goh shouted. "Our entire strategy relies on a dream!"
"Yeah, sorry to disappoint." Ash said, preparing for the next round.
"Koffing use Sludge Bomb!"
"Registeel use Ancient Power!"
"Dragonite use Ice Punch!"
The three Pokémon struck the legendary beasts as the changed forms.
"This is a new one." Chloe said, seeing their new forms.
"Brace yourselves!" Ash shouted, as the three pokemon released a triple Hurricane.
Dragonite, Registeel, and Koffing were knocked away into their trainers.
"Not again!" Ash said, throwing up an aura shield.
"DELPHOX USE PSYCHIC!" A voice cried out.
Koffing and Registeel were caught midair in a strange force.
"No way." Ash said, turning to see the trainer who saved them. "Serena!"
"What would you do without me?" Serena asked walking forward.
"You're real?" Goh said, in disbelief.
"Later Goh!" Chloe said.
"Dragonite use Ice Punch! Krookodile use Stone Edge!"
"Koffing use Sludge Bomb! Eevee use Copycat!"
"Registeel use Zap Cannon! Kommo-O use Clanging Scales!"
"Delphox use Mystic Fire! Sylveon use Moonblast!"
The eight attacks collided with the beasts in a powerful explosion.
"Why are they even here?" Ash said, trying to figure it out.
"Who cares, we've got them on the run!" Goh exclaimed.
"Glalie use Freeze Dry! Krookodile use Stone Edge! Dragonite use Hyper Beam! Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
"Registeel use Flash Cannon! Kommo-O use Clanging Scales! Coalossal use Heat Crash!"
"Koffing use Sludge Bomb! Eevee use Double Edge! Boltund use Wild Charge!"
"Delphox use Fire Blast! Sylveon use Moonblast! Pancham use Circle Throw!"
"They aren't fighting back? They're looking for something!" Ash realized. "The Reveal Glass!"
"The what now?" Goh asked.
"The reveal glass, they had to be at the bay to change, maybe it's in the ocean?" Ash said.
"Lumineon and I can look, but we need time." Chloe said.
"Go, we've got this." Ash said, his eyes glowing.
A barrier appearing below the beasts, keeping them from the bay.
"Keep them distracted. We don't need to hurt them." Ash said.
"How do we do that?" Goh asked.
'Splash'
"Guys, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Serena said, a block of ice forming from the bay.
"Not now!" Ash cried out.
Regice formed out of the ice, sliding straight for them. Just before running into their pokemon, Regice spun, releasing a blast of ice, freezing the three Legendary Beasts.
"Apparently he's on our side." Goh said.
"Take the chance! Let's surround them in case they rethaw out." Ash said, running into position.
A while later of stalling them
"Found it!" Chloe said, popping out from the water. "Is that Regice?"
"Yeah, he appeared when you went into the water." Ash said.
'You're welcome. We're now even.' The voice in Chloe's head said.
As the therian beasts got the reveal glass back and left, Regice melted into its ice block before it shattered.
"Strangest day ever." Ash said.
"So, what are you doing here?" Goh asked to Serena.
"I'm your new teammate." Serena said with a smirk.
