CandyLuv99; As we know, at least in the movies. Kings can do whatever they want. But I absolutely agree with you. I don't like how Simba is acting but he's not completely to blame and I'm trying to get why he's overprotective of Kiara and a jerk to Kovu in Simba's Pride.

We're on chapter fifty-one, can't believe it. Came a long way and I appreciate those who are still reading and a special shout-out to CandyLuv99 for your reviews. It kept me going.

Enjoy!

The stars were twinkling brightly against the night sky. It has been a few weeks since Princess Kiara was born and presented to the kingdom.

Simba and Nala have been having non-stop fights. And Nyah couldn't be happier. She had gotten into Simba's head, he's not sure on anything. Paranoid and most of all, he's second guessing his choice of making Nala queen.

The creamy lioness was currently heading out into the darkness to give birth. While two lionesses she has as followers, Helen and Dawn are watching Minos and Felisa. They equally hated Scar and rather see Nyah on the throne.

Hours Later(Almost Afternoon)

Zazu felt nervous as they apporched the Outland border. He hasn't seen the hyenas since Simba returned and the guard chased them into the barren waste land. But now they were going to comfornt them after they ruined a hunt. But it was the fact that they are doing it alone didn't sit well with him.

"Um...sire? Surely you're not comfornting those scavengers alone."

Simba frowned as he stopped walking. He was so determined to get to the bottom of what happened that he forgot about sending for backup. "Zazu, get Malka and any available lionesses or guard members."

Zazu sighed in relief before dipping his head before taking off into the mid afternoon sky. Simba watched the hornbill go before turning to face the border just as he heard the sound of a twig snapping.

The golden lion snapped his orange eyes towards the sound to see two pairs of yellow eyes heading towards him.

"Well, well, well. Isn't it the big fur ball back from the dead."

Simba snarled as the eyes turned out to be two old hyenas, two he hasn't seen before.

Simba narrowed his eyes as a growl left his throat. "I exiled you! What are you doing in the Pridelands!"

Baka had now white around his muzzle and some going through his fur as well as his chopped black mane. "I believe we haven't met. The names Baka and this is Juna." The old hyena smiled a toothy grin as he stepped closer. "As to what we're doing, we're coming to meet you. Matriarch's orders."

Simba stepped back confused about what he just heard. "Wait...where's Shenzi and if she's not the matriarch then who is?"

The female next to Baka that always grinned as she spoke next. "Our son. Janja."

Simba looked at the two, who are apparently are mates with a even more confused look. "Hyena packs are known to be lead by females."

Juna growled before turning away but Simba still caught the disgusted look that formed. "I had a daughter, until she became a disgrace to me and the pack."

Simba frowned before he shook his head as he snarled. "Regardless who is in charge, tell your son to stay out of the Pridelands."

Another snap of a twig caused the three to see three young adult hyenas, the one in the lead had a black spikey, swept back mane. While the other one looked like a over weight version of one of the hyenas that followed Shenzi, Banazi as the third one was a reminder of the weird hyena that was with Shenzi and Banazi, Ed. "You have some nerve showing up here, kingy."

Simba stood his ground and lifted his head to show his dominance. "You must be Janja. You disobeyed my law. The hyenas are not permitted in the Pridelands, it could throw off the balance of the circle of life."

Janja laughed before stepping closer. But before he could say anything, Simba's backup ran over. The young hyena growled before turning but not before giving the king a look of hatred. "No one cares for the circle of life but fools."

Simba just stood there, as that was all he could do. He couldn't believe that the hyenas were like that, they truly were monsters. Simba sighed heavily before turning to look at the lionesses that came with Malka.

The golden king was more than surprised to see his mother there. "Mom?"

The dark beige lioness shook her head with a small smile. "Oh Simba, you worry too much. I'm not old yet."

Simba went to say something about that but was confused with the way his mother and Sarafina shared a glance.

"Is something wrong?" Simba questioned looking between his mother and the pale cream lioness.

Sarafina took a deep breath before she stepped up. "Nyah returned. She's anxious about you meeting her cubs."

Simba nearly stopped breathing, cubs. A wide grin appeared before he turned and ran through the plains.

...

Princess Sherise was playing with her friends. But she couldn't really focus, causing her to be pinned by Josh. Which was ironic since she was thinking how her new father treated his father the day of Kiara's presentation.

"Ha, pinned ya!" the pale cream cub smiled proudly to frown at the distant look in his friend's purple eyes. "Is something wrong?"

Sherise sat up and shook her head. She wasn't sure what to tell Josh.

"Sherise!"

The dark brown cub looked up to see her adopted grandmothers and uncle lead a few lionesses away from priderock. Before turning to the source that called her name to see one of the guards, personal guard that Simba assigned to her. Who joined before Kiara's birth.

"Frankie, what's happening?"

The light beige lion quickly grabbed the adopted princess before running towards priderock with Josh and the others following.

Once back at priderock, Francisco or Frankie for short dropped her by the den by the slope. Where her ears quickly perked at the sounds of tiny mews.

Sherise looked around and noticed that the ones that was gathered had weird looks on their faces. The mews were getting louder and it was strangely pulling her to it.

Before she could enter a paw stepped on her tail. Sherise looked behind her to see her maternal grandmother, Jacqueline looking at her with that same weird look in her bluish eyes.

"Dear, it's best to wait for your father to return."

Sherise was confused. Before she knew it the king returned and entered the cave with Sarabi and followed by Nala who she remembered was resting in the main cave.

As her ears flickered, she heard Nala ask Starra who was nearby with Mheetu and Mwezi to watch Kiara before she followed Sarabi in the cave.

While Jacqueline was speaking with a pride-member, the dark brown cub silently snuck into the cave to flatten herself at a loud a roar that bounced off the walls.

"You conniving whore!"

Sherise quickly hid behind a middle size rock in the cave. Her hiding spot was perfect to see without being seen. Her young purple eyes widened as she watched her new mother strike her own sister across the face.

"Enough!" Simba growled standing in between Nyah and Nala. "Like it or not these are my cubs!"

"Simba!" Nala cried out, tears steaming down her face. "I trusted you! I thought you loved me!"

Sarabi was beyond disappointed. Guess the saying is true. Like father, like son.

"Come on Nala. It's not the time or place." Sarabi tried to soothe. She was hurt as well.

Nala took one last look at her sister, no she had no sister. Because the sister she had died the moment she realized she slept with her mate.

Sherise watched the lionesses leave before looking back at Nyah. She saw her new siblings clearly. One was goldish-yellow as the other was creamy gold.

Simba nuzzled Nyah before smiling at the cubs. "Have you thought of names?"

Nyah smiled at her cubs, not bothering with the blood that slowly dripped from her cut over her eye. "Kiongozi or Kion for short and Eshani."

Sherise backup and quickly left the cave before she could be seen.

~PP~

Nyah quickly traveled across the Pridelands, towards the northern border which is where the creamy lioness was headed. The Outlands. A land that is in no better condition than the Great Desert.

Zira and her followers inhabited the barren waste. They weren't to keen to trespassers as well as the Pridelands.

Which worked for the queen's sister well.

Nyah crossed over the border and headed into the dust cloud. She walked through the Outlands before her ears perked. Out of the dust came growling, shadow figures before Zira and three other lionesses revealed themselves.

"Well, well, well. Isn't it my lucky day." Zira purred as she apporched the younger lioness. "You either have a death wish or are you just plain stupid."

Nyah wasn't fazed by the comment. She lifted her head and glared at the pale tan lioness. "Neither. I'm here to offer you a alliance."

Nasira raised a eye brow as she looked at Nyah with suspicious green eyes. "Why would you do that?"

Zira stepped closer before she began circling the creamy lioness who in a way was her sister since Nyah was Nala's sister and Nala was Zira's sister. "Yes little sister. Do tell."

Nyah growled before sighing. "Yes I mated with Scar, but I care two craps about that. I don't want to be like my sister. Want to kill Simba and my nieces. Fine. But leave Kion and Eshani out of it."

Zira glanced at the lionesses as the gold teen lioness stepped up with confusion in her eyes. It's no secret that Nyah is Simba's mistress, it pays to have a eye on the inside.

"I don't understand. Why are you doing this? You're Simba's mistress and Nala's your sister."

"Shut up, Nasira!" Zira snapped before turning her amber eyes to the creamy lioness. "So. You want Simba and our nieces dead?"

Nyah looked away before nodding. "Even though I want Nala dead more. I know it's no use and trying to plead for him."

Zira was silent for a long moment before a evil grin formed. "Well, dearie. You have a deal. Now run along. Don't want to keep your, Simba waiting."

Nyah rolled her blue eyes before turning to head back to the Pridelands.

...

King Simba yawned tiredly before moving his orange eyes to the slumbering cubs in between his large paws. It's only been seven hours since he met his son and daughter. Since then, there's been a small spark that started to aflame.

Simba couldn't help but look towards the future. The sudden sounds of gourds caused the golden lion to look towards the small cave entrance near the slope. To see his ole friend, Rafiki.

"Rafiki." Simba smiled at the primate. "What brings you here this late at night?"

The sun had fell back behind the the horizon and all the stars were out, twinkling against the dark night sky. True, Nala has also been gone for four hours as well as his mother but Simba figured they needed time to adjust.

Having a cub with another lioness is a lot to take in, especially since he mated with Nala's sister. Do he feel bad about how things went? Yes. Do he regret it? He's not sure.

No matter what's in his head. He believes his actions is just.

Simba shook his head before looking at the Royal Mjuzi, who was peering at the prince and princess who laid against his chest. "He'll be a remarkable king one day."

Rafiki straighten before moving his dark blue eyes towards his former student and friend. "That's why I am here. Your father has come to me."

Simba's eyes widened before a look of worry crossed his face. "What'd he said?"

Rafiki leaned on his staff as he took a deep breath. "You need to keep with the law. Besides Prince Kion has been chosen to be the newest leader of the Lion Guard."

"Lion Guard?" Simba gasped. "I thought that the guard ended when... he who shall not be named killed the last one."

It sounded childish but his pride members are still overcoming the torture his Uncle Scar but them through. At the mere mention of his deceased uncle's name, a lot have anxiety and PSTD attacks. Even though the pride was in a cave over, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Rafiki sighed deeply before nodding. "All very true. But Kion is born after the crowned-heir, therefore a runner up for the position as the leader of the Lion Guard."

Simba glanced at his son for a moment before looking at Rafiki. "If Kion is destined to lead to be the new Lion Guard leader, then who is supposed to rule after me if something where to happen to Kiara or Eshani?"

Rafiki chuckled before looking at the dark brown cub nestled against the king's side. "I believe you already found your answer."

Simba instantly looked at Sherise before snapping his eyes to Rafiki. "Can I do that?"

Rafiki laughed, his eyes shinning with humor and glee as well as wisdom. "You did take the young one in as your own? Did you not?"

Simba nodded while gazing at his adopted daughter with newfound love and appreciation. "Very well. I'll announce it in the morning, that Princess Sherise would rule if anything happens to Kiara and Eshani."

Rafiki dipped his head and bowed. He didn't agree, as the laws said that cubs born from another lioness that's not the queen don't have rights to rule the rule bends for a cub both the queen and king adopts. But he figures Sarabi will have some words for him. "As you wish. I'll back in the morning. G ' night."

"Goodnight, Rafiki." Simba said before lying his head down by Sherise.

Simba watched Rafiki disappear around the corner of the cave towards the slope before closing his tired eyes.
