RAW is WAR: 26/7/1999
RAW is WAR was live at the Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio just 24 hours removed from Fully Loaded where Stone Cold Steve Austin retained the WWF Championship in his First Blood match against the Undertaker.
Fireworks scream through arena and explode at the entrance ramp.
Jim Ross greeted, "A methodical, controversial end of the Vince McMahon Era concluded aggressively at Fully Loaded and a new era begins tonight on Raw is War. Hello again, everybody I'm Jim Ross along with Jerry the "King" Lawler at ringside in the sold out Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio!" The camera suddenly cuts to the locker room area where Undertaker physically assaults X-Pac. The Phenom hasn't forgotten what happened last night and fully intends on making X-Pac suffer.
Road Dogg tries to help his friend but Undertaker levels him with a right hand and throws the can-shaped energy drink cooler at him, spilling ice all over the floor. He chokeslams Road Dogg through a nearby table and returns his attention to X-Pac. The beat down eventually comes to the ring where Undertaker rolls his defenseless victim into the squared circle and knocks him down with a punch to the jaw followed by a choke. Road Dogg bolts to the ring despite what happened backstage and trades blows with the Phenom.
A series of jabs have the Deadman off his feet. Flames explode on the entrance ramp and Kane walks to the ring and steps over the rope and grabs Road Dogg by the hair, turns him around and chokeslams the man. Undertaker sits up and looks at his brother standing there, he scoops X-Pac up on his shoulders as Kane lifts Road Dogg up, his hand around the man's throat. He chokeslams Road Dogg at the same time as Undertaker Tombstones X-Pac. Surveying what looks like a bad car wreck, the brothers lock eyes.
Jerry Lawler said, "Don't tell me..." Kane slowly raises his arms then throws back down, spewing fire from the ring posts and Burned plays bring the red light down.
Jim Ross confirmed, "Oh, my god. Kane has rejoined his brother the Undertaker! Nothing can stop these demonic brothers when they are together!" Kane follows his brother out of ring side by side as they make their way toward backstage.
Everyone wonders where this leaves Bladewolf.
Later
The camera cuts to backstage in time to see the Brothers of Destruction heading for the curtain.
Jim Ross said, "My god, look at this. This is scary, Kane and the Undertaker have officially reunited and they will momentarily fight the Road Dogg." Returning from a commercial breaks, the Undertaker's slow Ministry theme plays and the lights go out before switching to that eerie blue light and fog fills the arena.
The Undertaker emerges with Paul Bearer at his side and together they walk to the ring.
Tony Chimel said, "The following 2 on 1 Handicap Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, accompanied by Paul Bearer, from Death Valley, weighing in at 328 pounds, the Undertaker!" The Deadman walks up the steel steps and raises his arms, rolling his eyes back to return the lights then enters through the second rope.
Jim Ross stated, "I think the Road Dogg will end in the hospital right next to his buddy X-Pac." The lights go out and Burned plays. Moments later flames explode on the entrance ramp followed by the red light.
Chimel resumed, "And his tag-team partner. He weighs in at 326 pounds, Kane!" The masked demon methodically approaches the ring.
Jim Ross asked, "King, what in the world, what under the Sun or in heaven or hell could've brought Kane and the Undertaker together again?"
Jerry Lawler replied, "I don't know the answer to that, JR but the bigger question is what could ever stop them? We have seen in the past these two are the most destructive force in the history of the WWF. They're unstoppable. These guys could have anything they want!" Kane steps over the top rope and stands in front of his brother as he slowly raises his arms then throws them back down, conjuring fire from the ring posts.
Paul Bearer's the happiest man in the world, the two monsters he guided during their debuts in the WWF have joined forces. Nothing can stop them now!
The Road Dogg's music hit and he said, "Oh, you didn't know? Your ass better call somebody!" He emerged from the curtain and advanced, "You damn right. It's me, the D-O double G!" He enters the ring but doesn't get to finish his catchphrase because Kane automatically attacks him, prompting referee Teddy Long to call for the bell and Undertaker to step on to the apron.
Kane pins Road Dogg in the corner and throws uppercut after uppercut launching the man off his feet. He then chokes Road Dogg with his boot. For the next 5 to 10 minutes, the Brothers of Destruction pick apart Road Dogg until Kane ends it with the Tombstone.
He holds the arms, staring at Road Dogg's face while Teddy Long's hand strikes the mat 3 times before calling for the bell. The slow Ministry them plays.
Tony Chimel said, "Here are your winners, Kane and the Undertaker!" The two monsters stand victorious and Kane slowly raises his arms then throws back down to have fire explode from the ring posts.
Backstage, Bladewolf is shown watching what his brothers hae done when Michael Cole walks up. "Bladewolf, tonight you face Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Championship. What are your thoughts?"
"My thoughts? Austin's gonna feel pain greater than he felt last night at my brother's hands." Bladewolf said, chuckling evilly and darkly. "An Apocalypse is beginning tonight, a new age is upon us, Michael Cole. That age begins with me becoming the WWF Champion for the second time...and the spread of a dark, demonic force."
With that he walks away, leaving a confused and more disturbed Michael Cole.
Later
It was time for the Main Event. It was time for the Bladewolf vs Stone Cold Steve Austin for the World Wrestling Federation Championship. The fans were pumped to see this match.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Dark Side plays to a pop from the fans as the lights dim to the mix of blood red and dark blue and the Bladewolf walks out in his usual gear. He begins making his way down towards the ring.
"The following contest is scheduled for one-fall and it is for the World Wrestling Federation Championship!" Tony Chimel announced. "Introducing the challenger, weighing in at 310 lbs...THE BLADEWOLF!"
"The Bladewolf seems more demonic than I have ever seen him, King." JR said, noting the dark expression in the Bladewolf's eyes. "He spoke of an apocalypse earlier tonight, that it begins with him and the beginning of a dark, demonic force."
Jerry shivered. "I hope it's not his own Ministry of Darkness. One was bad enough."
"Who knows what Bladewolf has planned." JR shook his head.
Bladeowlf enters the ring and takes off his trench coat, dumping it outside the ring and he paces back and fourth as he waits for the WWF Champion.
Stone Cold's theme hits and out comes the Champion."And his opponent. From Victoria, Texas, weighing in at 252 pounds, the World Wrestling Federation Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin!"
Austin does his usual entrance before taking off his vest and hands the Smoking Skull belt to referee Earl Hebner who raises it over his head, signaling it's up for grabs. He next gives it to the stagehand out at ringside then calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Bladewolf and Austin circle one another before locking up and have a test of strength, Bladewolf wins by backing Austin into the corner and drives his knee into Austin's stomach before uppercutting the Rattlesnake. Bladewolf headbutts Austin then drives his knee into Austin's ribs multiple times before going for a German Suplex but Austin elbows him in the side of the head, then fights back with hard rights to the masked forehead of Bladewolf, causing the big man to stumble back until Austin takes him down with a clothesline.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and slugs it out with Austin until Bladewolf clotheslines Austin over the top rope and follows him. Bladewolf looks at the knocked out referee and shrugs before following Austin who gets to his feet. The two slug it out once more at ringside.
"And these two are just beating the hell out of each other!" JR exclaims.
Bladewolf sends Austin over the barricade and their fight is now in the crowd but the two didn't care as they went back to going back and fourth with each other until Austin boots Bladeowlf in the gut then bounces Bladewolf's masked forehead off a guard railing, sending the Demon Wolf to a knee.
"Austin bringing Bladewolf's head off a metal guard railing." JR said.
Bladewolf strikes back with a hard right hand to the Champion's forehead that knocks him back. Bladewolf grabs Austin and drives his head into the steel steps before tossing the WWF Champion back into the ring and flips his hair back before rolling into the ring and goes after Austin. He grabs Austin when the Rattlesnake runs at him and nails a sideslam, hooking the leg but Austin kicks out at two.
Bladewolf locks in a headlock on Austin, trying to wear him down but Austin fights back until both men were on their feet. Austin rebounds off the ropes and...NAILS THE LOU THEZ PREZ!
"Lou Thez!" JR exclaims over the cheers.
Austin gets to his feet, pulls Bladewolf to his and Irish whips him into the ropes, going for a boot in the gut and goes for the Stunner but Bladeowlf shoves Austin forward and nails Austin with a big boot. Bladewolf flips his long hair out his face before he rebounds off the ropes and nails a leg drop across Austin's throat. Bladewolf gets to his feet and grabs Austin who suddenly tackles him into the corner and unloads with a fury of right hands then stomps on Bladewolf's chest before being knocked back with a right hand by Bladewolf.
Austin throws a right, and Bladewolf retaliates by throwing a right of his own. The two go into a slug fest, trading back and fourth right hooks with one another with one half of the fans behind Austin, the other half behind Bladewolf.
"These fans are certainly divided here tonight." Jerry notes.
'Let's go Austin! Let's go Bladewolf! Let's go Austin! Let's go Bladewolf!' The divided crowd chanted.
Austin headbutts Bladewolf, rebounds off the ropes and knocks the 7ft man down with a clothesline, rebounds off the ropes and nails a elbow drop on the masked head of Bladewolf.
"Austin now in control here." JR says.
Bladewolf sits up and gets to his feet as Austin waits. Bladewolf turns around into a boot to the gut...THEN A STONE COLD STUNNER!
"Stunner!" JR shout.
Austin hooks the legs! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT AT TWO!
"Kickout! Bladewolf kicked out!" JR shouts over the cheers. "He's still in this!"
"That desire to become the WWF Champion again must be fuelling Bladewolf, helping him remain in the match." Jim said.
Bladewolf and Austin fight to their feet and go into another slugfest with one another until Bladewolf ducks a right from Austin, rebounds off the ropes...AND HITS A SPEAR! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THR-! AUSTIN KICKS OUT!
Bladewolf fell onto his back, breathing heavily before he sits up, looking as Austin recovers from the spear. Austin gets to his feet, as does Bladewolf. The two lock eyes before charging at one another locking up but this time Austin gets Bladewolf into the corner. He stomps away on Bladewolf's midsection until the 7ft man falls onto the bottom turnbuckle, allowing Austin to stomp on Bladewolf's torso.
Austin picks Bladewolf up and Irish whips him into the opposite turnbuckle but Bladewolf comes right off and takes Austin down with a clothesline that sounded like two trains hitting each other.
"Wow! that impact." JR said.
Bladewolf lands a leg drop on Austin for the cover but gets a two count. Bladewolf punches the mat in anger before getting to his feet and raises his right hand, glaring at Austin as the WWF Champion stumbles to his feet and turns around, sees the hand coming and ducks it, Bladewolf turns around into a kick to the stomach, going for a second Stunner but Bladewolf shoves him into the ropes but Austin elbows him in the side of the head and shoves him...STRAIGHT INTO THE REFEREE!
"Bladewolf hit the referee!" Jerry exclaimed.
"Austin didn't know!" JR said.
Bladewolf turns into a boot to the stomach...THEN A SECOND STONE COLD STUNNER! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! BUT THERE IS NO REFEREE TO MAKE THE PIN! Austin looks around and spots the referee down which makes Austin curse before he gets to his feet and revives the referee with a shake and picks him up before turning around...ONLY TO MEET A SLEDGEHAMMER TO THE FOREHEAD BY TRIPLE H!
"What the hell?!" JR shouted. "It's Triple H!"
Triple H starts assaulting Bladewolf with the sledgehammer when the Undertaker and Kane are seen coming down the ramp with Paul bearer beside them.
"Uh oh." JR said, knowing this cannot be good for whoever these two demonic monsters have come for.
Undertaker and Kane slide into the ring and attack Triple H from behind! The two brothers take him off their younger brother and start stomping away on Triple H before they grab him by the throat, lift him up...AND PLANT HIM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
Undertaker and Kane then turn to look at Bladewolf and start walking menacingly towards him, looking ready to beat him up. Bladewolf gets to his feet and stares his brothers down, everyone waiting to see what happens...WHEN THEY START ATTACKING STONE COLD!
"What the hell?!" JR shouts. "What the hell is this?!"
Paul Bearer laughs at ringside as he watches the three brothers beat Austin down.
"B-Bladewolf has he...has he rejoined his brothers?" Jerry asks with fear for what this means. "Is this what he meant by the start of an apocalypse and a dark demonic force?"
"I...I think so, King!" JR said.
Bladewolf grabs Austin, lifts him upside down as Undertaker and Kane get out the ring and stand at ringside as the referee is groggy...AND BLADEWOLF HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! Bladewolf crosses the arms over Austin's chest and flips his hair back for the pin! ONE! TWO! THREE! WE HAVE A NEW WWF CHAMPION!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Dark Side plays as Bladewolf gets to his feet, grunting in pain a little as he did so. Bladewolf flips his hair back. "Here is your winner and the NEW! WWF Champin...THE BLADEWOLF!"
"Someone tell me this isn't happening!" JR said.
Undertaker and Kane enter the ring as Bladewolf is handed the Smoking Skull belt. Bladewolf stares his brothers down before he gets to a knee and does the Undertaker salute as Kane raises his arms and throws them down to summon fire from the turnbuckles, the lights changing to a mix of all three of the brothers' lighting entrances.
Undertaker laughs evilly as everyone looks upon the full, reunited trio of the Brothers of Destruction. The brothers have truly reunited, and no force would stop them...
Yep, Bladewolf had turned Heel! He and Kane actually. I figured this was better than an Unholy Alliance between Undertaker and Big Show, or Kane and X-Pac teaming up. Seriously, WWE had the chance to have a 1999 run of the Brothers of Destruction, and they didn't take it. Just imagine Kane and the Undertaker walking out to the Undertaker's Slow Ministry theme!
Now imagine all three brothers doing the same...
