I step into Kagome's front sitting room, or the 'pack dining room', as it has been dubbed to find everyone already seated and conversing lightly. Kagome looks up as I settle beside her, sporting a radiant smile as she leans over to gently press her lips to mine.

"Good timing, the food only just arrived." she says as she pours me a cup of tea. Being that pack dinners are very informal, everyone begins taking and passing dishes to each other to fill their plates until everyone has what they want. Then they turn to me, to which I nod once, small smile appearing as everyone immediately starts eating.

Conversation lulls as everyone enjoys their meal, before a throat is cleared, drawing the group's attention to the monk and slayer.

"We have some news-"

"Oh my gods, you're pregnant again?" Kagome interrupts, leaning forward in excitement.

"No, at least not that I'm aware of." Sango giggles before she continues for her husband. "We've spoken with Sesshoumaru, and he's agreed for us to stay here. Permanently."

A small gasp escapes the miko as her head whips back to look at me, her eyes welling with tears when I nod my head to her silent question.

"I have informed them that I will be commissioning a dwelling for them to have of their own. It will be attached to the pack gardens, offering protection via location and proximity, while still retaining a measure of privacy." I elaborate, unsurprised when Kagome launches herself to hug me, forcing my arms to wrap around her.

"Thank you." she murmurs, face pressed against my chest.

"There's something else, though it's more just a formality, since it would have occurred regardless." Miroku starts, smiling warmly at his excitable friend. "We wish to name you and Sesshoumaru official guardians of Hana and any future children we may have, in the event that something happens to us."

"Of course, you don't even need to ask! As if I'd let them go anywhere else." Kagome answers firmly, pulling back from me to look at her friends again, reaching a hand out to them. I smirk as she voices precisely what I knew she would say.

"We know, but it's nice to say it out loud and hear the answer." Sango replies, grasping her heart sisters hand tightly.

"Oi, what about me?" InuYasha interjects, crossing his arms.

"You are a dear friend, InuYasha." Miroku answers diplomatically, while Sango barely manages to cut off a snort.

"Yeah? So? Why ain't I a guardian for the kid?"

"Yash, you'd be here with me and Sess." Kagome says in an attempt to soothe, a wide grin on her face. "You're going to be uncle Yash regardless of what happens."

"Keh." is all he replies with, grunting as he uncrosses his arms and shovels more food into his mouth.

"I am having more formal drafts being made for the dwellings layout, however I would like you both to see them before construction begins, in the event that you wish to make changes." I remark, looking at the couple again to see their nods as they too return to their food.

"I'm so glad you guys are staying." Kagome declares, eyes watering again as her hand finds mine, her body shifting to lean against me. Her eyes roam across the faces of her pack, before looking up at me and smiling brightly.
