Koh (Ryusoulger)/Sayo (Kiramager): Like The Gentle Breeze

?Sometimes, like a gentle breeze, I suddenly think of you...? ~ Day And Night, Jung Sung Hwan

It was another tough day at the hospital for Sayo whose day has been filled with two scheduled surgeries on her watch and various check-up appointments. Nevertheless, it was still a question as to how she could continue smiling and act as if it was just a normal, uneventful day for her. At least, it was her colleagues who had that question hovering in their minds.

Regardless of the curious looks on their faces, Sayo remained unfazed through all that. It just gave her such satisfaction that she was able to do her job well that day. Another day that made her quite fulfilled.

She just had a few minutes rest when she decided to head to the rooftop of that hospital to breathe some fresh air since the recent surgery she did was quite tensed, in her opinion. As soon as she opened the door, sweet spring breeze invaded her senses that, unknowingly, had made her smile wistfully.

"I hope he's alright and smiling..." Sayo couldn't help muttering the moment she got out and watched the view from the rooftop. She also sighed as another gentle waves of the breeze passed through.

That short moment felt so calming for Sayo, for some reason. Though she wanted to wander why, the answer almost immediately revealed itself when she heard someone spoke from behind her, just a little above the elevated area of that place where the door was at.

"It's really peaceful up here, huh?"

She turned and smiled at the sight of the person she was just thinking about just now. "Koh..."

"It's been a while, Sayo-sensei." With that greeting, and confidently walked towards her. "You look good today, by the way."

Sayo chuckled and nodded right after. "I've always looked good, so that's not new to me anymore. When did you return from your journey?"

"A week ago. But I still have to help Asuna and Canalo in the village before I decided to visit you here and greet you."

"Did something happen in the village?"

Koh shook his head and smiled. "No, it's nothing serious. But I do have to help them train their students and discuss things with them with regards to the Kishiryu that we're all trying to bring back to life. We still couldn't help missing our partners, you know."

Sayo nodded in understanding and shifted her focus on the view from where she stood once again. "Who would've thought... that the spring breeze could give us a lot to think about?"

But the only response she got was a curious gaze from Koh, in which she found quite amusing.

"Don't look at me like that. Just... forget what I said." And yet for some reason she couldn't explain, she noticed that her voice suddenly had hints of sadness in it. Why was that?

"The breeze reminds me of you a lot, though."

Of course, without a doubt, those words caught the doctor off-guard and made her rashly face the red Ryusoul tribe member. And yet, Koh seemed to have the audacity to smile brightly and cheekily after saying that. How could he do this to her?

"I recalled meeting you and seeing your smile for the first time because of tje gentle wind blowing at the time. You really looked amazing and beautiful at the time, while you were tending Oto's wounds."

Sayo recalled the said incident almost immediately that had only made her smile. She also couldn't help blushing at the fact that Koh called her amazing and beautiful. She couldn't understand that, though. She was supposed to be used to those kinds of compliments as she had been receiving them most of the time. And yet here she was...

"It also reminds me of you, you know," she uttered before she could even realize it. But as soon as that thought registered in her mind, she couldn't feel any regret. She sighed not long after and faced Koh. "Are you going to leave after this?"

But to her comfusion, Koh shook his head. "I'm staying for a while. I recalled that I made a promise to you just before I left, right? That we'll have a fun time together when you're not busy with your work. Does it still stand for you?"

This man's arrival in her life might be like the spring breeze; a gentle wind that told her things would be okay. But that gentle breeze had only given her such wonderful feeling that calmed her down most of the time. Koh's arrival in her life changed her in so many ways. They might be just subtle ones, but she knew herself very well.

She could tell if the changes happening to her was because of someone or not.

Sayo smiled and nodded. "I was just waiting for you to fulfill that."

At this point, she knew that the waiting she did was all worth it in the end.
