Chapter 42: Two Heavenly Dragons vs Loki the Trickster.

Today is another day off for me and Alex, we are currently in my workshop, preparing for the final adjustments of the Neuro Harvester.
Today, the kids are allowed to be at school. They must be currently having club activities. Rias said that the ORC have to decide the theme for their school festival.

Alex and I went to tidy up the workshop.
As we are doing the cleaning, Alex spoke.
"I really hope this works, Vergil."
"So do I, Alex. Even I would prefer a more assuring result than this", I replied.
"If only we can test it without you entering the form…", said Alex.
"No point talking about it now. Look"
I said as I look outside the window where it is getting dark.
"….So it's already dusk."
Both Alex and I put on serious faces.
"Let's go", I said.
The time for the battle has come.
*Evening*
It's past sunset. We were at the rooftop of a high-rated building in the suburb where the meeting between Odin and the Japanese Gods will be held.
It was pretty breezy, but that's because were pretty high up. On the rooftops of the surrounding buildings were Sona's team, who are in position, Saji will come in later.
Azazel is the middle man, so he can be here, instead, Baraqiel joined us. So is Rossweisse, who is wearing her battle armor.
Tannin-shishou is flying up in the sky. In order to avoid humans' gaze, special concealment magic was casted on him as the insurance.
Vali and his team are waiting for the battle, a bit further away from us.
"-It's time."
Rias says that while looking at her wrist watch.
It's now time for the meeting to start. This means that an important discussion has started in one of the rooms inside the hotel.
All we have to do now is wait for Loki to show up.
The case of him disguising as an attendant in the Hotel, trying to approach Odin wasn't unlikely… that is if I did not manage to read the spatial distortion caused by the Trickster. With my new "Eidos Senses", such a thing is easier as eating pie.
"No tricks huh. You have my respect.", said Vali as he made a bitter smile.
BREAK! BREAK!
The sky above the hotel started to distort.
Appearing from the hole created by the distortion, were Loki and Fenrir
A frontal assault.
"Target confirmed. Mission start.", said Baraqiel from the coms.
A gigantic barrier-type magic circle was activated around the hotel.
Sona and her team activated the magic circle to transfer us and the enemy to the battlefield.
Loki senses that, but he just showed a smirk and didn't retaliate.
We were then covered in light...

When I opened my eyes, it was just a spacious field.
It's filled with rocks. If I remember, this was supposed to be an abandoned ancient mine. Apparently, it isn't used now.
I confirmed that all members of our team are here, including Alex, Irina, Baraqiel, and Rossweisse.
Vali and his team were away from us.
In front of us was Loki and Fenrir.
I already started the countdown for Balance Breaker. After which I put on a thick, black metal disk on my chest, the disk expanded into a form of futuristic armored vest that covered my whole torso, front and back, with red glowing lines pulsing from the crimson core on the center of the chest piece.
The others asked for the device's purpose. Initially I didn't tell them, but as they were too persistence, I had to say that it's the device that will assist me in resisting [Juggernaut Drive]. They barely managed to buy it.
It's so wrong, lying to them…
But this is necessary.
"So you aren't fleeing.", said Rias sarcastically as Loki laughed.
"There is no need for me to flee. All of you will retaliate anyway, so I can finish you all here and then go back to the hotel. It's a matter of sooner or later. Even if he does or doesn't participate in the meeting, I will have Odin disappear."
"You are wrapped with dangerous thoughts.", said Baraqiel.

Releasing an intense red light, the new Super Balance Breaker, Which I decided to call it Scail Mail Omega, appeared on my body. My power rose significantly.

I also unfurled my wings and ignited the boosters along the former's movement.

"A combination between the Red and the White! Most likely I'm the first one to get a fight like this!"
Loki is very lively and he activates a wide-range of seemingly defensive magic-circles which covers his whole body.
But my "Eidos Senses" tells otherwise. It's the offensive type!
countless magical-lights which appeared from the magic-circles turned into a sash being released towards us! A homing attack that chased Vali and I as we flew. We both make acrobatic maneuvers to avoid the attacks, but only I parried them straight back at Loki. The latter blocked with real defensive magic circles this time, but he is also slightly pressured by the constant barrage.
[Blade!]
I extended Ascalon from my gauntlet as the blade ignited in crimson demonic Senjutsu flames. With that, I close my distance with Loki and go for a slash! I go at full speed with my dragon wings and boosters on my back!

I slash through the circles, making them all perish! From there, Vali releases an intense [Fallen Light] attack at him... But I also saw the Norse-magic equations on his hand.
"As a start, here is my first move.", said Vali as he fired.

His attack covered a third of the area. The blast left a huge hole in the spot where Loki was standing before.

I look to where the laugh was coming from…
Loki was floating in midair. His robe is a bit torn, but it seems like Loki himself is unscathed.
As expected from the Evil god who surpassed my current strength…

I brought out the replica of the Divine hammer, Mjölnir and put some power onto it. It was a bit heavy, but wieldable. I didn't use [Boost], but it seems that I can wield it in this Super Balance Breaker.
[Indeed, this new phenomenon, Super Balance Breaker, is the direct enhancement that emphasizes on your personal powers. With this, lifting Mjölnir would be relatively easy.]
Loki's eyes then twitched on seeing this.
"….. Mjölnir. The replica? Even so, you are carrying a dangerous weapon over there. Damn Odin, does he want to make the meeting successful that much….!?", said Loki.
I ignited the booster on my back while having the posture of lifting the hammer up!

I head towards Loki at high speed, and I slam down the hammer!

Loki dodges it! A huge crater was created on the ground… but there was no thunder, why?
"Fuhahaha!"
Loki was laughing at my confused state.
"It's unfortunate. That hammer can only be used by someone with a very strong and pure heart. You must have some evil feelings within your heart. That's why it doesn't create lighting. Normally I hear, that doesn't have any weight, and is as light as a feather you know?"

At that point, Rias raised her hand.

At the same time Kuroka smiled, magic-circles are activated around her, massive ancient chains comes out! The magical-chain, Gleipnir. It was fortunate that we received it earlier than we anticipated, but because it was very hard to carry it, Kuroka hid it inside her personal territory.
Being led by Tannin-shishou and Baraqiel, the Gremory team and Vali's team grabbed onto the chain and then threw it towards Fenrir.
"Fuhahahahaha! It's useless! Countermeasures against Gleipnir were already….."
Leaving Loki laughing out loud behind, the magical-chain which was enhanced by the Dark-Elves wraps around Fenrir's body as if it has its own consciousness.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON….!
The giant wolf howls painfully, which echoes throughout the area.
"—Fenrir, captured."
Alright, let's move on to Loki.
I turn to look at him, laughing creepily.
He spread out his arms wide and then started to speak.
"Their specs are lower, but….."
Next to him, two spatial distortions occurred.
From the distortion created in the space…
Two more wolves look like Fenrir appeared!
"Sköll! Hati!"

The others all have shocked face. Only Vali was having joy.
Having the two new Fenrir obeying him, Loki then says it.
"I changed a jötunn woman living in Járnviðr to a wolf, and made it breed with Fenrir. As a result, these two were born. Their specs are quite a bit lower than their father, but their fangs are the real thing. They can easily kill a God, and all of you."
Loki then orders the two wolves.
"Go, Sköll and Hati! That bunch of people are the ones who captured your father! Tear and rip them apart with those claws and fangs of yours!", said Loki

Along with the sound of wind, the two wolves charged.
One headed for my comrades, the other to Vali's!
"Hmph! A mere dog!"
GOOOOOOOON!
Shishou breathed out a powerful flame from his mouth! To be expected from the former dragon-king, he enveloped the child-Fenrir with his intense flame!
But the wolf wasn't even flinching, even though it took damage! Those two have to be defeated before we can go against Loki. When I look towards my team, Loki fired a huge block of magic at them!
DOON!
I deflected many of the attacks back to Loki, once again, he is slightly pressured by the constant barrage.
"…I won't be able to activate the power to halve if my opponent is a God-class. So I will have myself reduce your power slowly!"
DON! DON! DOOOOOOON!
Utilize the opening I made, Vali created many attacks made from his demonic-power which are mixed with the Norse-magic formula, and he shoots them out.
Each of them gets taken down by Loki's magical power, but not all of them could be wiped out, so several of them hit Loki's body. But, he didn't receive any remarkable damage.
"To be expected from the Hakuryuukou! It seems like you learned the Norse-magic in such a short time, but….-It's still not enough!"
Loki releases a wave of magical-power which is glowing like a rainbow. Vali makes his wings bigger, and it seems like he is planning to take it head on.

The Divine Dividing's ability was activated, and Loki's attack continues to get smaller.
"-It seems like I can use my ability to halve without touching it if it's an attack like this. But… this consumes a lot from me."
Is it an applied technique of his move which halves his territory? Even if it doesn't affect Loki's body, it works on his attack. He's growing as well.
But, several of the attacks he released hit and pierce through Vali's armour! The Divine-Dividing Scalemail gets damaged heavily, but Vali repairs it immediately.
"My turn."
I said as I threw the Mjölnir away and prepared my "Extinction Vision". If I can't use the hammer, then I'll have to use my other powers.
PIIIIIIIIII!
A pair of dense laser beams fired from my eyes!
Loki dodged the stream of destruction beams with full effort.
ZUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
The beam eradicated a massive area of the mine. Loki must have realized how dangerous my "Extinction Vision" is, now that he fully sees its' effects.
"Fuhahahaha. The Hakuryuukou has more proficient strength, while the Sekiryuutei has immense destruction in his attacks. You attack just now can definitely eliminate a God. I can't take either of you lightly. Hmmm, amazing! A blow which is filled with spirit rings a bell to peoples' hearts. Just how much feelings did you put inside that attack just now?", said Loki as he sweats a bit.
"Rather than going for the Hakuryuukou who moves in high speed, I'll go for the Sekiryuutei! If you were to transfer your power your multiplied power, it would be just bothersome! And you can actually kill gods. That's why I will kill you first!", said Loki as he aimed at me.
Then come here, let's see who'll win first.
"-Ignoring me is something I can't accept."

Vali moves immediately, and went behind Loki.
Just when Vali was going to deliver a blast of the Lucifer's [Fallen light]…

"Guhaa!"
he got eaten by Fenrir! Vali spurts out blood! The fangs went through the white armor with ease, and Vali's body was pierced through completely. His blood taints Fenrir's fangs. I turn to the chains to see his children had the chains in their mouths. So it's focus was on the chains while attacking us, and then they freed Fenrir.
"Fuhahahaha! Looks like I have the Hakuryuukou crunched first!", said Loki as he laughed loudly.
"Vali!"
I moved in to save him, I plunged my hands between Fenrir's jaws and pry-open them. To the latter's surprise, I was slowly prying its' jaws.
But…
ZASHUN!

It slashes down with its front paw!
My Scale Mail Omega was able to hold out for a few seconds, but it eventually broke, and I took damage.
Gough!
From my stomach, and from my mouth, blood burst out. This is bad, if both get taken out…
"Ngh! I won't let you take down those two!"
Shisou backs us up by breathing out a fireball! It's a fire with insane heat and mass! But, like I thought Fenrir shows no sign of running away.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
Fenrir howled, Shishou's flames gets eliminated by the howl which shook the whole area around here!

Fenrir disappears for a moment!
ZASHUUN!
A sound of something being torn apart! And then...!
"Guoooooooooo!"
Shishou got clawed, his blood covers the battlefield!
This is frustrating. Dragons are normally very powerful. And even very prideful. To see Fenrir dash that, he must have been powered up by a lot to do this. This isn't normal.
I then saw Tannin-shishou bite something down while blood was spurting from his mouth. His injuries disappear while making smoke. So he used his phoenix's tear. Just in case, all members were given that before the battle.
I took out the bottle and poured it over my wounds. In a few seconds, they were all healed.
Darn it!
This is getting dangerous. Fenrir having that kind of attack power. Even my armor was no match for that. He destroyed it and Vali's armor so easily.
Me and Vali who are the vanguards were given several phoenix's tears. But from Vali's situation where he is still bitten by it, it doesn't change the fact that he is still being bitten even if he uses the phoenix's tear, so there would be no meaning to use it. I need to release him from that state.
I can't beat that thing as I am now… but what if it's [Juggernaut Drive]?

"On the occasion, I will have you fight against these ones as well.", said Loki as the shadow under his foot expanded.

Tannin-shishou said it with disgust!
Yes. They are identical to Midgardsormr, but they are about the size of Shishou, and there are five of them, in total.

The mass-produced ones started to breathe out fire all at once

The mass-produced Midgardsormrs fire was wiped by Shishou's fire.

"It will be our loss if we go to the defence! Charge!"
Bikou, Rias, and Raynare's voices. Both the Vali-team and the Gremory-group are having fights to the death against the child-Fenrir.
"We can't disappoint Azazel-sama!"
"Raikou!"
"Have a taste of light!"
Baraqiel strikes down the Raikou on Fenrir, it has more than ten times the power output compared to Akeno's. Raynare and Mittelt used spears of light on Sköll and Hati.
The child-Fenrirs seem unaffected even when they received damage and then resume their attack!
"Don't take lightly in my training with the Sekiryuutei!"
Kiba moves in highspeed to follow the pup, and swung down with his holy-demonic sword. The sword slashed its head, making it bleed out from its forehead.
"Guwaa!"
Xenovia who tried to attack with that slight opening gets pushed back after being hit by its front paw! Blood comes out of her!
"Xenovia!"
"Go to her! I'll cover you!"
Irina goes to Xenovia and uses her phoenix's tear on her. Alex covers them with barrages of intense Holy light attacks.
It won't give remarkable damage, but it was stalled. However, I did see some smoke come from the fur. After being sprinkled with phoenix's tear, Xenovia's wounds healed immediately, and she's back in action with Durandal.
"Gasper! Blind its eyes! Koneko, you use that chance to punch it using the Senjutsu anywhere on its body!"
Rias gives out commands to Koneko and Gasper. Gasper's body turned into bats.
"Ey ey ey!"
Gasper who transformed into bats gathered at its eyes and blinded it
"I will lower Fenrir's ki as much as I can!"
Thanks to Gasper, it's blinded and Koneko's punch hits! She only hit its foot, but that's okay. Since it was filled with ki, that will damage its lifeforce. That will slow it down.
"Xenovia, do it now!"
Receiving Rias' order, Xenovia makes her stance.
"I still haven't lost yet!"
Her shout echoes through the area.
The wave of enormous aura she demonstrated before hits the pup. It was devoured by the wave from the holy swords, leaving two deep wounds. But even that is not enough to take it down.
"-No, we start from here!"
Kiba created many holy-demonic swords below its foot, and stalled its movements for a moment. with his speed, he creates many wounds on the pup's body.
I then saw some thunder strike down! It was Akeno's thunder!
Yes, they can handle it!
-On the other hand…
"-How's this then?"
A bit away from me was Tannin-shishou who breathed out his maximum output of fire at the mass-produced Midgardsormrs. The battlefield turns into a sea of fire!
It seems like one of them is in pain inside the fire. One of them turned to ash from the flames.
"Here is another one!"
Shishou took a big breath, and then breathed out another enormous fire-blaze towards a single Midgardsormr-copycat which it blasted away. It creates a huge crater on the ground while making an explosive blast. Those fake dragons are certainly no match for Shishou.
But Fenrir is still a big problem.
"I won't let you!"
Rossweisse activated a Norse spell and supported Shishou. The magical shots fall down on them like raindrops and pierces through them.
"Heal! And also for you!"
Asia, who is the logistical support, sends healing-aura at times to those who have received damage. The effect it has is great, and with the modified Blackgrave, she can send potent healing bullets to faraway allies. But since she is sending her aura continuously, you can tell from her expression that she looks tired. She is supporting everyone while having the pressure of knowing that she might die in this battlefield, so it's waning her psychological state pretty badly.
But it's certain that Asia's power of healing is becoming our source of life. We cannot cope in this battlefield with only the phoenix's tears.
The Vali-team who is taking on the other child-Fenrir, are oppressing their enemy.

Bikou started to strike the child-Fenrir repeatedly with his Ruyi Jingu Bang.
"Get bigger, Ruyi Jingu Bang!"

Wow! Bikou swung down his staff which has gotten bigger, and sharply smacked the child-Fenrir's head!
"Nyahahaha! I will seal your movements then."
Kuroka used some kind of jutsu to change the footing under child-Fenrir's foot into mud. Having his foot trapped and movement sealed, there was someone who came slashing at the child-Fenrir with a holy-sword which is emitting an enormous amount of aura. –Arthur the Holy-King Sword wielder!
"-To begin with, I will take one of your eyes."
SLASH!
He used the Holy-King sword to graze deeply into child-Fenrir's left eye.
"Your claws are next."
He then started to cut of its front paws claws along with its flesh.
"-And now, for those dangerous fangs! If it's this Holy-King sword Collbrande, it should be able to wipe a mere child-Fenrir along with the dimension!"
The Holy-King sword erased the child-Fenrir's fangs while making the air vibrate
GYAOOOOOOOOON!
The child-Fenrir starts to shout with pain after having its eye, claws, and fangs taken away.
Dimension slash huh…
Now I really do miss the Yamato…
So these are Vali's comrades, huh. Even if their opponent was just a child of Fenrir, their power is abnormal.
"… Takeru Silver" , said Vali weakly.
Seeing him still impaled by that fang is painful, even for me…
"…..Loki and the other ones….I will leave them to you, Bikou, and others.", said Vali.
He's going against Fenrir alone?

"This parent-Fenrir. –I will definitely kill it."
Hearing that, Loki laughs.
"Fuhahahahahahaha! How would you do that!? You are already on the verge of death! Won't acting strong just lower the name of Hakuryuukou instead?"
"-Heavenly-dragon. No, don't look down on I, Vali Lucifer."
After Vali glared at Loki, I felt chills going down my spine. He starts chanting quietly. His armor then starts to glow with lots of colors. And a very bright aura radiates from Vali!

They are going to be blasted away! They certainly are going to be blasted away!
Voices that do not belong to Vali echo in the area. So this is from the past Hakuryuukou that are sleeping inside. What a curse like voice.
{Am the Heavenly Dragon who has taken the principles of supremacy from God…}
The dream will end! The illusion will begin!

A burst of white light occurred!
The whole abandoned mining ground is lightened by a bright light. There was a lot of light coming from Fenrir's mouth, and it started to swallow Fenrir whole.
The God-devouring wolf was unable to keep on holding Vali, so it lets its' jaws go.
The being who appeared at the center of the light… was a giant, majestic, quadruple Dragon.
So this is Vali's {Juggernaut Drive}…
"Kuroka! Transfer me and Fenrir to the allocated place!"
Vali who is glowing with light commands like that to Kuroka. Kuroka also smiles hearing that, and directs her hand at Vali, then starts to move her fingers in air.
The magical-chain meant for capturing Fenrir also got transferred to Vali's place, and Fenrir get wrapped by many sashes which look like they're made from demonic-power.
A mass of light covers both Vali and Fenrir. The two start to synchronise with the scenery of this night, and then disappeared from this area!
"Vali!"
Even if I shouted his name, I didn't get any reply….
-Then, I heard a shout.
"Akeno!"
It was Rias' scream. When I looked, I witnessed Akeno who is about to be bitten by the child-Fenrir!
No! You will not!
"Akeno!"
I said as my eyes glowed again. As I was about to fire "Extinction Vision"…
"I have you now!", said Loki as he tries to shoot magic at me from behind.
But from high up in the sky, a fire-ball and magical-light comes down at Loki!
"I won't let you!"
"He's right!"
Tannin-shishou and Rossweisse backed me up. When I looked, only one mass-produced Midgardsormr is left. But that one is also eventually be annihilated by the two.
I'm glad, but now isn't the time!
As I move to save Akeno…
ZASHU!
A bitter noise of the fang tearing a piece of flesh was made. The one who was pierced through with child-Fenrir's fang was… Baraqiel!
His back was pierced with the fang while protecting Akeno.
"Gough!"
A lot of blood is spurting out of his mouth and from his wound.
"….Why?"
"…I can't afford to lose you as well."
Akeno's expression was now confused.

My "Extinction Vision" eliminated the child-Fenrir!
"Asia!"
I call for Asia and she creates a light-green aura in the spot, sending her healing aura to him using Blackgrave. His wounds started to heal slowly. His bleeding should stop, but it will be hard for him to keep fighting. He lost a lot of stamina and blood. Some was spilt when the fangs were removed from his body.
"….I…I!"
Akeno is panicking a lot.
"….Get a hold of yourself, Akeno. The battle hasn't ended yet.", said Baraqiel.

As of this moment, the battle between the Gremory team, the Vali team VS Loki is still raging on.
Putting Fenrir, who was captured and sent away along with the Hakuryuukou earlier, and one of the Child-Fenrirs, who was obliterated by Vergil, aside. Loki, alongside the remaining Child-Fenrir, and 4 surviving mass-produced Midgardsormrs, are still standing.
The remaining Heavenly Dragon, Sekiryuutei Vergil, who is the Son of Sparda, was supposed to be the lone Vanguard to deal with Loki.
