Everyone's favorite daily dose of fluff is back, ladies and gentlemen! Before we get to the important stuff, I wanna make a quick clarification thanks to a certain review. This story is SUPPOSED to be slow in pace, because my limit for every chapter is 4k words. I will not go past that limit. I can't put many events in one chapter and therefore, I have to cut it into equal portions. Besides, with me uploading daily, I don't think you guys should even worry about being slow in pace because you get a new chapter everyday. This fanfic is mostly about FLUFF and WHOLESOMENESS, although I still have a plot in mind. If you want plot, there's always Five Equal Angels, Go-toubun no Hanayome AE, and even the original manga. FLUFF OVER PLOT! Again, this is just a clarification for those who think I am being too slow.

Alright, last chapter was mostly about Miku trying to know Fuutarou a lot more, with Itsuki being sweet and adorable as always by buying him ice cream! Awww, my heart! Meanwhile, Fuutarou is doing his best to prevent himself from making eye contact with Miku. What's gonna happen for this one? Will he remain safe? Or will he feel the shock of the shock? Let's not waste time and dive right in!

The poll for Fuutarou's first kiss is officially over with one quint winning by a landslide amount. Want to find out who? Here's the Discord link: [discord . gg / 4y5QVPj]

Miku continued to look up at Fuutarou for the next few moments, thinking deeply about everything he said regarding Itsuki and what he thought about her. It was strange, she only asked what made him accept his role as her sister's tutor, but he ended up telling her pretty much what he thought of Itsuki as a whole. Perhaps that was on her too, because after she asked him if he was only after the salary he would receive from this job, he went on to explain the deeper meaning behind his actions.

After hearing him speak about her sister in such a way, she could only imagine what Itsuki felt if she was in that position.

The girl released a deep breath and looked down on the ground, causing Fuutarou to take a quick glance at her. Once he saw that her attention was directed away from him, it gave him the opportunity to finally turn towards her. Yeah, as long as she wasn't looking at him, he can shift his full attention towards her and he won't have to be rude…

It's just for one day, don't worry. He'll be fine with it tomorrow even if Miku stares at him for one hour straight or even more.

"Was that all you wanted to ask me?" he asked, preparing himself just in case Miku turns her head to look at him once again.

Miku kept her head down and gave him a small nod. "Yeah, that's all," she answered.

"Very well, then…" He nodded in return even if she couldn't see it, before rubbing the back of his neck as he braced himself for his next words. This was a risky question and he had no clue if she would answer it. Oh well, it's better to get it over with than keeping it to himself. "I apologize if this sounds offensive to you, but what was that all about? That question seemed out of nowhere because just before that, you told me not to bother you and then you'll do the same."

"Sorry for that. I just got curious because I was caught off guard with Itsuki buying you an ice cream stick and how you accepted it so easily," Miku explained. "I remembered what Itsuki told us about you, which led me wondering how you two could act so friendly around each other."

That was obviously a lie.

She simply wanted to see what it was about Fuutarou that Itsuki liked, and it provided only a few answers, all of which were things she wasn't even sure about. Miku doubted that the reasons why Itsuki liked him were his role as her tutor, being intelligent, and understanding to an extent. There had to be a deeper reason why her youngest sister developed an interest for this boy.

But come to think of it… why was she even thinking about this in the first place? This had nothing to do with her because he was only her sister's tutor. Wait, was it because her family was involved? Was it because she was curious about this Fuutarou Uesugi? Or perhaps... something else?

"That seems reasonable," he nodded, understanding her reason for asking him a question like that. "I hope I answered your question, then."

Miku then looked up at him, which quickly forced Fuutarou to look away to avoid her line of sight. "Don't worry. I won't bother you any—" she tried to speak, until she noticed that he had his attention directed somewhere else. This got her to feel slightly irritated, because it seemed like he wasn't even listening to her. "Aren't you going to look at me while I'm talking? You haven't looked at me even once."

...

...

...

Damn it!

She noticed it!

The girl narrowed her eyes and flashed a small pout, while Fuutarou began to panic inside his mind. Luckily for him, he was able to retain a calm look on the outside but on the inside, he was already in panic mode, struggling to figure out what he should say.

WELL, WHAT THE HELL CAN HE DO?!

"Oh, uhm…! I apologize for that, I just—" he tried to explain and was almost about to face her, until he stopped and looked at his pocket for a moment. "Hang on a minute, I have to answer this…"

He then pulled out his phone and turned away from her, before placing it against his ear as if he was answering a call. Oh, he could only hope that his acting was convincing enough! It could be considered a damn miracle that he thought of this on the fly, or he would have had no choice but to look at her and activate the shock between them!

But damn it, why did she have to notice it now?!

"Huh…" Miku only made a confused sound as she looked at the young man with a raised eyebrow. Where did that come from? He could've just said that he needed to take an important call, and she would've understood. He didn't need to look so nervous as if he was competing for a prize.

But if that was the case… then why did he sound desperate for some reason…?

Unless…

Hm, she didn't know what it is exactly, but there's definitely something fishy about Fuutarou and his weird behavior just now…

~~XoXo~~

The whole group stopped in front of the entrance to a tall apartment complex, which Fuutarou could only assume as the place where the girls live. Okay, he was safe because the station wasn't far from here based on the signs along the road. He'll be able to get home without any problems with directions, and now he knows how to make his way to the quints' home without their assistance when the time comes.

Hopefully, there's a pizza place on the way back home so he won't have to take multiple routes just to tire himself out again.

Oh no, his poor legs…

"Well, here we are. Like it?" Nino said, turning around to face Fuutarou with her arms crossed over her chest and a smug look on her face.

Hearing Nino's voice caused the young man to shift his attention from the building to her. Seeing the expression on her face, he only assumed a thinking pose and hummed as if he was thinking deeply about something.

"Assuming your family owns this entire place, I have to say that this attempt to make me envious of you is working well," he stated in a tone that was similar to that of a professional businessman.

His response caused the rest of the girls to chuckle, while Nino only closed her eyes and shook her head in amusement. "Haha, nice joke, but no. We live at the very top, that's all."

"Still a good deal," he shrugged, looking up at the apartment complex again and admiring how it looked from the outside. "This is the first time I'm going somewhere as luxurious as this, at least as far as I can remember. How fulfilling it would be for me to get my family out of our current residence and into a place like this…"

"Well, you just need to work hard to help Yotsuba and Itsuki, and you'll be able to help your family in no time!" Ichika smiled and turned towards the young man, whom she caught letting a small smile appear on his face. She smirked at seeing this and faced her two youngest sisters next. "You two believe in Fuutarou-kun, right?"

Itsuki smiled and nodded, reflecting her true feelings for the young man whom she met in school cafeteria. "Uesugi-kun has done nothing but help me throughout this past week and for that, I will do my best to make sure his hard work pays off. I believe he can truly help me with my grades!"

Yotsuba nodded eagerly too, raising her fists in anticipation. "Yeah! I believe in Uesugi-san too! I'll do my best to study hard and finally make my grades higher, so everything that Uesugi-san did for us won't be wasted!"

Hearing those two statements from his students caused Fuutarou to quickly keep his head down, unable to hide the smile on his face any longer but not wanting to let the girls see him like this. Yotsuba and Itsuki had truly gotten to him after last night's events, most especially when they all hugged each other in the middle of the dark street with only a street lamp as their only source of light that time.

He wouldn't admit it openly, but he felt touched with their words to the point that he questioned his past self about thinking that having a soulmate wasn't what he needed at the moment. At that very moment, he let himself loose for a bit and willingly pulled the two girls into a hug which they reciprocated immediately.

Oh boy, and then after figuring out how his soulmates were connected to an important event in his childhood, he couldn't have been more wrong about initially refusing to meet Itsuki the night before.

Yeah, the Fuutarou from one week ago was a jerk, to put it simple.

With these two girls putting their faith in him, he definitely can't fail! He'll make sure to help them reach graduation even if it's the last thing he ever does!

"Alright, alright, that's enough of that," Nino spoke while waving her arm, getting everyone's attention before turning towards Fuutarou with a smirk. "Just follow us, alright? Wouldn't want you to get lost inside this building now, would we?"

"Only an idiot would get lost inside a building with one exit, which I am not," he shrugged, getting everyone else to chuckle once again.

The whole group walked past the lobby and into the elevator, where Fuutarou made himself comfortable on the opposite end while all the girls were all standing in front of him. He leaned back against the cold steel and looked up, recounting all of the events that happened to him so far today.

First, there was Nino basically demanding him to go with her to the festival as her date, then she declared that they'll be going shopping this Saturday so she can buy him a kimono. It didn't stop there, because he would meet Ichika later on in the men's restroom after getting chased around by his classmates, which was an event that he would rather not talk about for too long. Then, there's Nino who helped him talk his way out of his earlier predicament with the girls of his class just like yesterday, and then finally ending with him meeting Miku for the first time, but willingly preventing himself from making eye contact with her.

For real, this day may end up being as crazy as yesterday, or perhaps even worse

"I'm feeling tired…" Itsuki drawled, cutting off the young man from his thoughts as she fell back against the wall of the elevator, causing her to end up standing beside Fuutarou. "But we still have our tutoring session…"

"That's because you kept on stomping your foot on the ground while we were walking," he deadpanned, before shaking his head slowly as a sign of distress. "You shouldn't have let yourself be affected by your sisters' teasing."

"Let me rest for a bit…" Itsuki murmured, before letting her head fall on Fuutarou's shoulder, which quickly alerted the young man and made him turn towards her immediately.

"Itsuki, what do you think you're doing?" he whispered, unable to stop his cheeks from turning slightly red because of this girl's sudden action. Damn it, this isn't the time to be affectionate like this! What's worse is that her sisters were standing in front of them and they just got a front-row view!

"So bold, Itsuki-chan! I guess being tired helped you out after all! Fufu, and I don't even think she's trying! Are you sure they're not a couple yet, Nino? It looks like they are," Ichika widened her eyes and almost squealed upon seeing Itsuki lean her head against Fuutarou's shoulder like that, much to the latter's chagrin.

"…" Nino remained quiet as she stared at the two, before a small frown formed on her face. Fuutarou was able to notice her expression and raised an eyebrow in secret. Was Nino angry over something? The last time she looked at him like this was when she was trying to make him stay away from Itsuki! She can't be angry because of that, can she? They already talked about this, and it ended well—

...

Wait a minute…

...

Fuutarou's eyes widened in realization.

...

WAS SHE JEALOUS?!

...

Fuck, okay, okay, okay, okay! No need to panic! Nooo need to panic! It's gonna be okay, as long as he keeps his head in check and doesn't do anything reckless at the moment! Damn it, he somehow had the feeling that this would come soon, because it's a normal reaction for girls to be jealous, right?!

But he didn't expect it to happen right now!

Does this mean the other girls will start feeling jealous soon?! No, that can't happen yet! He hasn't even made eye contact with Miku! He'll deal with this new problem once all of the girls experience the shock, not when there's still one left! But still, what the hell was she getting jealous for? Because Itsuki was leaning against him like this?

Well, Nino was clearly looking at the two of them, and she had that frown on her face at least until she released a deep breath and her expression reverted back to normal.

Okay, that was weird… but he was safe, so that's that.

Phew.

Anyway, he could already tell that this won't be the last time that someone would get jealous. Truth be told, he anticipated this to happen when he learned that he will have five soulmates because it was so obvious. How would a girl react when she finds out that the boy she had a crush on was also the subject of interest by many others?

His female classmates were the perfect examples of this, even though they only gained an interest in him recently. Regardless, he may have expected this to happen, but he didn't see it coming right away. Fuutarou initially thought that he wouldn't be dealing with his soulmates feeling jealous of each other at least until he made eye contact with all of them, but it looks like that's out of the window now.

Sure, Itsuki and Yotsuba were... kinda competing against each other yesterday? But they weren't sending glares at each other, were they? In fact, it felt like they were only bickering like children from how they pulled on each of his arms as if they were playing tug-of-war. After that, they were back to normal during dinner and it was like nothing happened.

At least, Nino only 'looked' angry? There's no way he could tell what she was feeling just a while ago, but it definitely didn't seem good. Thankfully, she calmed down and nothing bad happened.

But one thing was for certain, though.

He'll have to prepare himself for the time when all of his soulmates would be a lot more affectionate with him. So far, it's only been Itsuki, Yotsuba, and Nino who have expressed their feelings for him in various displays of affection. He just met Ichika earlier, but there's no doubt that she's going to try something soon. That left Miku, whom he still wanted to avoid until this day ends, but that may be compromised now that she caught on to him ignoring her…

Speaking of which, the third quintuplet could only stare at Itsuki with a dumbfounded look, with her blue Audio-Technica headphones managing to hide the slight blush on her cheeks. Like Nino, she was clearly thinking about something, although it was a lot more obvious given her curiosity regarding the young man who was with them right now.

"How much does Itsuki really like him?" Miku thought to herself in confusion, wondering how her youngest sister was perfectly fine with doing something like this, when the Itsuki she knew would have never done so…

"…just for a little bit, Uesugi-kun…" Itsuki breathed out, almost closing her eyes as if she was about to take a nap on his shoulder.

especially in the presence of her sisters.

Oh boy, one of Fuutarou's biggest problems that he will encounter post-shock has arrived early! Yep, he's gonna have to deal with the girls' jealousy soon because no matter how you look at it, these quints are possessive as hell. Well, some of them are. Itsuki and Yotsuba are currently supporting each other at the moment, but Fuutarou doesn't know that. Our boy will have to dig deep and figure out a way to make them all share, because they're all his soulmates! Aside from that, he's more screwed now that Miku noticed him! It's only a matter of time before she catches on to his act! This is truly not going his way right now, but on the bright side, Itsuki is there to bring in the fluff, even though her sisters are there! Man, she's gotten bolder ever since their first meeting... anyway, that's all I have for you guys today. See you tomorrow!

Goodbye... and good night! BANG! *too sweet gesture*
