It wasn't a total lie. Her mother was still distraught. Worried. Concerned.
"Well quit hanging around here. She ain't gonna get off your ass until she sees you're fine. At least this time the news is a lot better."
She nodded her head, a fake smile plastered on her face.
"Yeah. I'm sure your right."
She turned, and made her way towards the well. Disappointment still teetering along her aura.
"Hey, K'Gome."
Blue eyes flashed over her shoulder.
"Is that all that's really going on?"
