Set pre-series, before Michael's flashbacks in 1x09 "One Way". Again, this isn't what I normally right. But after Nikita and Daniel, it's only fair I do Michael and Elizabeth as well. And who doesn't like some wholesome family moments.

It felt as though everything was falling into place. He would say it was perfect if he didn't want to jinx it. But he got the house. He got the perfect house for his family, right along the beach and away from town. They could move in after his latest assignment. He was so close to finding who was responsible for the bomb. His informant was digging up the intel he needed, and all he had to do was inform his supervisor and bring those responsible to justice. After that, he, his wife, and his daughter could relax in their new house in Hawaii. He was so excited to have everything planned and figured out, that the second he joined his wife in bed that night he scooped her up in his arms and kissed her. Though surprised, she kissed him joyfully in return. Once they parted, she flashed a brilliant smile and wondered, "What was that for?"

"Nothing. I just love you," Michael mumbled against Elizabeth's lips, kissing her again and again. Their lives had been a whirlwind the last couple of years. With her job as a photojournalist, his officer training then position in the Navy, the surprise of their daughter Hayley, and moving around from one assignment to the next, it was a lot to juggle. But at least Lizzie could follow Michael on his adventures, reporting on the Navy's actions wherever they were. The two didn't have to be separated, even in a place as sweltering hot as Yemen. It was their own kind of wonderful.

"Well I wouldn't mind being told again," Pulling her husband closer to her, Lizzie giggled. Michael had to follow her request, kissing her deeper and more passionately. He thought about telling her he put a down payment on the house she had picked from a catalogue. Yet his plan for a surprise just seemed more fitting for the next phase in their lives. They never got to have a real honeymoon. Their wedding took place in the short period of downtime they had between assignments. And then Hayley came along, taking up any future moments of breaks and time off. Not that the two would ever complain about that. It was just that Michael wanted to treat his family to something normal- something right. A gift of a permanent home was the best way to do so. He wanted to make it as special as possible.

Kissing him thoroughly, Lizzie soon distracted him from those thoughts. Michael was able to shove all of that away- along with his apprehension over his investigation- and completely focus on his wife. She rolled onto her back, bringing him with her. Her hands slipped under the waistband of his jeans and began to grab at his ass. He smirked at how quickly she had become excited, though wasn't that somewhat the intention of his initial kiss. Yes, he wanted to share his joy with her. But he also just wanted to make love to his beautiful wife. His lips left hers to trail along her neck. She hummed in contentment, and shifted her hips beneath him.

While Elizabeth slowly worked on removing his pants, Michael continued kissing her pulse point. His hands pushed up her t-shirt, granting him more warm skin to touch and explore. Although the married couple was taking their time with one another, their kisses and touches were electric. Soft moans drew out of them at the steady removal of clothes. Hands grew a tad more daring in their caresses. They knew the right touches and holds to make the other snap their hips in anticipation. The removal of clothes grew more urgent as their lips met in yet another passionate kiss. They were completely consumed with one another. And there was absolutely nothing wrong with that.

With the barrier of their clothes gone, Lizzie shoved Michael onto his back. She hovered above him, her hips barely touching his as she slowly rocked back and forth. The movements were meant to tease, and it worked without question. He groaned, surging upwards to wrap her into his arms and kiss her powerfully. She chuckled at first, but as his hips thrusted into hers she collapsed on a moan. Husband and wife were quick to join together and move fiercely in a maddening rhythm. However, their kisses remained tender and soft. Lizzie's statement from earlier continued to ring true. The affections expressed love and joy.

Needy caresses, traveling kisses, and breathy moans accompanied thrusting hips. Michael and Elizabeth rolled on the mattress as they brought one another to bliss. They kept their pace slow to enjoy the overwhelming passion, and to be lost to the feeling of their bodies connecting. Their legs were entwined and their arms held each other as close as possible. The married couple moved nearly as one, some mismatched grinding occurring as they reached their peak. Moans became louder, and touches and thrusts more urgent. With one more thorough kiss shared between them, they both tumbled into bliss.

Michael couldn't stop kissing Lizzie while their heartbeats and breathing settled. He kept her in his arms, and kissed her everywhere he could. She just laughed at him, soaking in the happiness. He had to bring up his surprise then. Not the house- not yet. But the idea of a vacation to Hawaii, where they would then stay for the rest of their lives. The idea would no doubt continue his wife's joy. He'd do anything to ensure a smile was forever on her lips, "Hey. You know what I was thinking…"

"Daddy!" A light, urgent voice coming from down the hall interrupted Michael. Hayley could more or less sleep through the night, but she had the occasional dream or nightmare that would pull her out of sleep and cause her to stay awake until morning. His daughter had definitely inherited his need for little sleep- a trait Lizzie did not appreciate. Yet the two found themselves chuckling then. She really did have impeccable timing. It also wasn't too late at night. They could probably get her to go back to sleep for at least a couple more hours. That was, if either of them were willing to get out of bed and put clothes on.

"Duty calls," Elizabeth sighed, shoving at Michael. But he didn't dare budge. He hid his crooked smile with a pillow, and pretended to have fallen asleep. The ruse didn't work in the slightest. She smacked his abdomen with her own pillow. Despite his peel of laughter, he still didn't move. It was a dirty move to play on his wife. Yet he couldn't help thinking that it was a little funny. At least until Lizzie pushed down on the pillow covering his face. It was only for a brief second, but his laughter quickly turned into a cough. She smirked in triumph, "Nuh huh. She called your name, not mine."

"Yeah. That's 'cause I give her candy after a nightmare," Admitting not as sheepishly as he should have, Michael tossed his pillow at his wife and vaulted out of bed. His clothes were close at hand for him to be able to pull on quickly. Hayley called for him again, and he replied that he was on his way. However, he was distracted by the glare Lizzie was shooting him. It was a mixture of shock, irritation, and humor. He was absolutely ridiculous when it came to his daughter. At four years old, she had her dad so wrapped around her finger that she could control him with a look. It was a habit both had to break before she moved from preschool to kindergarten. But they had a year before that happened. He had time to spoil her.

"Stop doing that," Well, maybe not if Lizzie had anything to say about it. A pillow traveled one last time as she threw it at her husband. She tried not to laugh, but Michael just looked so damn proud of himself. Honestly, whatever worked to calm Hayley down after a nightmare was great. She'd much rather have her daughter hopped up on sugar than scared. The spoiling was just getting a little annoying. At times it was sweet. And Michael did know when to put his foot down and not give in. It simply didn't help battle their toddler's stubbornness.

"I can't. She's too cute. Just like her mother," However, Michael dispelled all those arguments with a heartfelt comment and smile. Lizzie might have rolled her eyes, but she melted into the chaste kiss he pressed to her lips. He grinned even brighter when they parted. Another shout from Hayley quickly reminded him what he was doing, and he took off down the hall to check on her. The instant she saw her dad enter her room, she beamed and began to babble about something. His smile never faltered. His heart could've burst with the amount of love he had for his family. He couldn't wait for the amazing things the future would bring them. With the home of their dreams on the horizon, how could it not be perfect.
