A/N: I'm unsure where the idea for a play came up but that happened. Also, please vote and the gender will be out in tomorrow's chapter. Have a wonderful time of day everyone!
Bella's Point of View
I was in the rec room and the only thing I could think of was 'so many vampires.' I think that at first my accelerated heartbeat made them nervous; but now there just going back to doing what they were doing before interruption. I sat in Edwards lap with Emmett and Alice in front of me. The others were getting together with the Volturi. I couldn't get Rosalie's obsession with the wives, nor Jaspers obsession with Jane and Alec. They certainly weren't that close when they were in forks, so I couldn't understand it.
"Bella? Bella!" Alice was saying my name, and something gave me the impression she had been saying it for a while. "yes Alice?" I was biting my bottom lip; it was so scary here. "Bella, you don't have to be afraid. I looked into all possible futures, you getting eaten isn't one, at least in the time we'll be here in Volterra."
Edward always trusted Alice but she did falsely predict my death, which to be honest I was glad that it happened. I would become a vampire and Edward was back with me, but it did raise a question of if me not getting eaten was just something she falsely predicted. "oh, and Rebecca's up. She's coming here soon." Just as she said that Rebecca burst into, and I say that as an understatement, into the rec room. It was comical, of course, everything my cousin does has some comical action.
Rebecca's Point of View
After getting dressed I cut across to the rec room. Time to make an even bigger impression. From what the guard has told me, I overexadurate everything and I never get what they mean. Like how could busting through a door be overexaduration? I didn't know, but that's exactly what I did. Scanning the rec room my eyes landed on Bella in Edwards lap, and Alice and Emmett siting in front of them.
"Good morning everyone!" I said cheerfully, this was how I usually started my day. Everyone else said it back. "good morning." It always filled me up inside to make people have a good time, so let's make today a good time. "okay, everyone Bella over here my cousin." I said mentioning to Bella. "Has come here to Volterra so… without further ado let's make Bella feel more comfortable, anyone have any ideas?"
By now the guard had gotten used to my 'perky attitude' as Aro called it. At least I wasn't saying good morning to the horse mucus in one of the rooms Aro designed. I said it once and I was determined not to say it again, at least not to the mucus… in front of Felix. I mean who has horse mucus anyway? Well… I would. "Hmm, how about we play charades again?" It was Felix I laughed putting a thumbs up I said "no." shaking my head and putting my hands at my sides again I continued, "I don't think she'd like that all that much."
There was a mock collective gasp from a few of the guard that had seen me play; because they knew that when I played, I played hard-core. "Oh! Oh! Oh!" I said getting an idea, "what about since you like reading books like Romeo and Juliet. We can re-enact the setting. What do you think Bella?" When the attention turned to her, she looked uncomfortable. Maybe if she saw the guard wasn't all that menacing, she would feel more comfortable.
"Um, I mean I guess it's fine?" She sounded unsure, but I felt like that would be the best answer we got out of her on an idea. "Okay, let's start planning!" I'd like to believe that at least some of the guard followed me because I'd earned their respect and not just because they were supposed to do what I said.
Felix's Point of View
When I suggested charades, I had been hoping to annoy Bella. I'd noticed from the last time that she didn't like the game; but nonetheless I liked the idea Rebecca came up with. From what I saw, Bella was reading a classic all the time and it did take into account some form of charades. Acting, I think chad could play Romeo, and Lenora could play Juliet.
They were the original actors in Romeo and Juliet actually. I could tell everyone was excited. When Rebecca came up with a plan for showing people a good time it definitely fulfilled its purpose, and I knew that in a month the others had heard of what she can do and seen a bit for themselves in two weeks. Honestly, I felt everyone looked up to her as queen and a friend. It happened fast, it took a year or two for Diyame and Athenadora to become friends more so than queens; so, when she had the idea for a play everyone was hoping to have a good time.
Carlisle's Point of View
When Rebecca started working the set, she did a good job in getting people motivated. I had to say she organized things well, and me and my family were glad to help Bella feel more comfortable. I think that seeing the guard make fools of themselves definitely achieved the goal. I had known the guard a while back when I was much younger and not much had changed since then. Which was definitely a good thing.
Of course, the lower guard weren't a part of this, not that they'd want to. It was the only thing I ever had questions about. It was definitely a less harsh punishment serving for a hundred years instead of dyeing, but not many of them wanted to be there. Also, Chelsea's powers were probably the only thing keeping them in line.
Strolling up to Rebecca I had to tell her something. I had deciphered the gender of her children. I knew she might not want to know them now because every family was different, but I think she would like to know now "Rebecca?"
