Chapter 52: Disassembling the GUN part 2: The new black comet

As the battle of the united federation happens all events are happening the same time.

Heroes story

Black comet

He's strapped down against a metal plate as the ship waits for the mission to be over. He holstered by his legs and arms, making sure he has no way of escape. The crew watch on a monitor as footage is shown throughout the united federation of the war. They play cards and enjoy the battle for the soul of the country. They drink champaign and beverages toasting to their victory and brotherhood. One doesn't seem to pleased at it at all. He sits next to sonic enjoying his beer. One of the black arms walks up to the hedgehog with a chili dog.

Black arm: "Hey. Hungry?"

Sonic: "Yeah."

He drops it on the ground.

Black arm: "Get it yourself." *laughing*

Sonic: "Hmph." *Grunts*

The black arm sitting next to sonic reaches down and grabs the chili dog. He stares at it and holds it in front of sonic.

Sonic: "What? You're gonna mess with me too?"

Black arm: "No. Are you hungry?"

Sonic: "Uhhh…"

He looks at it. Even though it came off the ground. He doesn't mind it though but what can't seem to get around his head is "Why would you care?". He notices that this particular black arm looks feminine look. Its not despara. Maybe a female black arm.

Sonic: "Y-Yeah."

She feeds it to him.

Sonic: "Thanks."

Black arm: "Your welcome."

Sonic: "So what's going on out there?"

Black arm: "War."

She sits back down next to sonic.

Sonic: "Where are we?"

Black arm: "Above central city."

Sonic: "So what happened, after the first war with you guys? How did you all survive?"

Black arm: "It's a long story."

Sonic: "Well. Can you at least tell me yours?"

Black arm: "I was part of a unit when were on the verge of victory during the first war. After we saw black doom fall from the sky, we were stunned and shocked. Our leader defeated. When the black hedgehog had teleported the black comet to the space colony ark to be destroyed, we knew we lost. Shadow the hedgehog was supposed to reign as the new heir for the black arms but he instead left us to die. He betrayed us. After it was destroyed, our armies didn't know what to do. We were lost. We tried to hold down outpost and cities the best we can but we just couldn't stop the furious force of the human race. Without no one to lead us, we were doomed. I was there when they took back westopolis. A lot of us scattered around the globe. There were others that chose to fight till the end. They all were slaughtered. They thought we were all dead, extinct. There were a lot others that chose to live amongst the humans and mobians within disguise. Others chose to live underground around the world. I was amongst the ones to live with the humans. It was a hard time at first because those who were found were brought in by the government of the united federation. A lot were caught or sold out."

Sonic: "Woah. So you guys were living amongst us this whole time?"

Black arm: "Yes."

Sonic: "Hm. So what were you doing this whole time?"

Black arm: "I was an owner of a bakery. A lot of us lived around mobians. They're a lot better than the humans. Very nice people."

Sonic: "That's rad. So what made you go back?"

Black arm: "A lot of us chose to keep our radios on at all times. A lot of old friends stayed in contact. We're black arms. We take care of our own."

Sonic: "heh. Guess you guys know about family."

Black arm: "Yeah."

Sonic: "What's your take on this war?"

Black arm: "The honest truth. This doesn't feel right."

Sonic: "Then why did you come back?"

Black arm: …

Sonic: "Well?"

Black arm: "I don't feel like talking about it."

Sonic: "You don't have to. Do you have a name?"

Kylia: "Kylia."

Sonic: "That's a pretty name."

Kylia: "was it true that you severely wounded the eyeclops?"

Sonic: "Eyeclops? Oh wait…"

He remembers the giant monstrosity he had to fight off to save his friends.

Sonic: "You mean that giant thing back in Mazuri?"

Kylia: "Yes."

Sonic: "Yeah. I guess."

Kylia: "Why did you get captured?"

Sonic: "Used all my energy."

The black arms in the other room cheer and hype up after seeing something amazing on the tv. They cheer and boast about the war that's happening outside.

Kylia: "I think this planet is nice."

Sonic: "You could help me y'know."

Kylia: "I know. But I'll be killed if I do."

Sonic: "Hmm. You're right."

He looks at the monitors and overhear the conversations.

Kylia: "So what happened in Mazuri?"

Sonic: "We saved the prisoners being held there."

Kylia: "Amazing. I also heard the princess of Acorn saved them all."

Sonic: "She did."

Kylia: "She's also the reason why Lady Despara was so mad. You would not believe how mad she was."

Sonic: "Was it about the grenade?"

Kylia: "Yes."

Sonic: "Oh. So that's why her face was-"

A chili dog is thrown towards his face. It slides off down as the black arms in the room laugh at him. They chuckle making fun of him as Sonic seems annoyed.

Kylia: "Nevermind them."

Sonic: "Oh when I get out this I'm gonna slam them into next week."

Kylia: "Guys leave the hedgehog alone."

Black arms: "Oh c'mon, we're just having a little fun. Besides they're gonna kill him later."

Sonic: "Wait what?"

Black arms: "Kidding, kidding. Maybe, I don't know."

Kylia: "I don't think they're going kill you."

Sonic: "What makes you think that?"

Kylia: "Because you're still alive."

Sonic: "Makes sense. Wonder what the others are doing?"

Team Sonic

As two guards pass by, the trio of Sonics life sneak their way through. They come across a part of area that with a full of guards that are moving weapons and other materials. They hide behind a wall as tails notices dark foggy matter swimming below. The dark aurora glowing below platforms. Tentacles transport stuff or drag other worthless materials to be dismantled. They have dark glow to them. The workers carry weapons or run across to man their stations.

Tails: "I can't believe we're back here again."

Knuckles: "I thought Shadow destroyed the black comet?"

Tails: "Seems like they rebuilt it. It's a lot different than it was before."

They look around to see air saucers floating around.

Knuckles: "So what's the plan?"

Tails: "Sonic should have his watch on him. I have my communicator on me. He's close.

Sally: "Lets go find him."

Tails: "We need to find a way to sneak through."

Knuckles: "Whatever you guys do, don't go into that glowing toxic stuff down there. Believe me, I know."

Sally walks out and hides.

Sally: "How are we gonna get across?"

Knuckles: "Use those saucers."

They rush out, sneaking their way through the open area. Tails flies up with his mutant tails making sure no one sees him. It's a bit loud and widespread like a factory. Black arm members communicating with each other. They move ammo and report to their stations as the team sneak through. Sally hops on one of the saucers. Kunckles jumps and glides his way around. He uses his spiked fist to latch on walls. Sally flys low using the saucers controls like it's the average extreme gear. She goes lower out of site near the toxic substance. She keeps her distance from it as the tentacles from below reach up to grab other materials floating within it. She sneaks past across and finds tails at a door. Knuckles climbs his way past the whole area without no one noticing and Sally makes It towards the door. They enter a hallway with moving tentacles from the side.

Sally: "What the hell is even in this place?"

Knuckles: "The place must be alive."

Tails: "I studied into the books. The comet must be techno organic. It takes on life of its own."

Knuckles: "Life of its own? But how does it sustain itself?"

Tails: "Don't know."

Control center

Black arm: "Madam, There appears to be intruders on the base."

The camera's show the crashed tornado from earlier. Another screen with Team heroes sneaking through the comet. There are other camera's showing team chaotix in the spiders nest. As despara watches.

Despara: "Scroll in on the brown one."

They zoom in to get a better look at Sally. Despara's eyes go big and her heart stops for a moment. She remembers yesterday at the prison when she threw the grenade.

Despara: "Exterminate the rest. Leave her alive. I wanna be the one who enjoys that one."

Team Chaotix

While at the spiders nest they see a few baby Arachne's emerging from their eggs. Breathing their first few seconds of life.

Big: "Oooohhh…"

A screeching noise can be heard from the giant Arachne they faced earlier.

Vector: "Okay guys. Lets stay out of sight from them. Take it nice and easy."

They start walking past the eggs. They walk slowly as Froggy still hoping on Bigs shoulder and trembling. Ribbiting over and over.

Espio: "Big can you quiet the frog down?"

Big: "Shh Froggy."

Froggy: "Ribbit! Ribbit!" (Hide!)

Arachne: *Roar*

The trio pause for a moment hearing the giant mother. They all look at the top seeing a claw creep from the ceiling.

Espio: *Whisper* "Quick, Hide!"

Espio quickly blends in with the environment thanks to his ability to camouflage. Vector runs behind a pillar. Big stumbles and hesitates. He hides behind on of the big eggs. The mother Arachne crawls from above to check her younglings. They all crawl towards her as she spews up go and acid from her mouth. The baby's crawl around her and eat up the nasty bits. While she's tending and nursing with her off springs, Espio ninja crawls up the wall. Big hides seeing the giant. Froggy hops away. Big follows him crawling. He knocks over a rock and the Arachne over heard it. She turns around seeing something move. She crawls over to see what was it. Big hides behind one of the eggs as she looks at her coming children. He hides chattering with froggy still hoping away from him. The mother looks at the egg big is hiding behind. She looks closely to see if anything is there. Espio notices and prepares his kunei until one of the eggs starts hatching. The baby Arachne crawls away and the mother follows. Espio walks near vector.

Espio: *Whisper* "He's gonna get himself killed."

Vector: "I know. But he's a valuable asset. Maybe he ca- where'd he go?"

They both notice he's out of site. Froggy can be heard ribbiting. Down a tunnel. They sneak past the Arachne through a bunch of pillars and rocks avoiding the mother as she walks along her nest. While vector and espio are catching up, big follows froggy towards another place. They manage to make It to a dark place with red glowing crystals everywhere.

Big: "Froggy?"

Froggy: "Ribbit!" (I'm hearing something)

Froggy goes into the middle to look up. A giant spider web. At the center something glowing. Something familiar.

Big: "Hey! Isn't that-"

Froggy: "RIBBIT! RIBBIT! RIBBIT!" *Trembling*

Froggy leaps up and down. A lot faster. He stops to see something behind big.

Big: "What's the matter froggy?"

Arachne: *Hissing*

Big eyes grow big. A drop of slime drops onto his shoulder. Big looks to the left to witness the slime and he starts turning pale. He starts chattering and slowly looks behind him. His eyes blank white. Sweat falling from his head. He looks behind to see the mother of the nest.

Big: *Screeches like a regular cat*

Arachne: *Screech*

She spits acid at him. Big runs away with froggy's tongue latched to his back as the eight legged vampire follows him. Espio and Vector rush in to catch and help Big. Espio looks up to see the green chaos emerald.

Espio: "Look!"

Vector looks up to see a good thing.

Vector: "What do you know? Guess boarding this place was a good idea."

Big: *screaming like a little girl*

Big runs back and bumps into Vector. The Arachne and her kin appear back to nest. She crawls up the web and squeals out a call. A call for backup. She screeches loud it that a bunch of her children come from everywhere of the new black comet. They all enter the nest again. they all crawl around the mother shielding her.

Big: "Froggy, hide!"

He hops off big somewhere out of sight.

Vector: "Get ready boys!"

Team Sonic

They walk down a slanted hallway that takes them lower. They enter a door to find a room with boxes. A large cargo area with guns, wood, and other materials. Black arm banners. Black arm weapons. There's a bunch of Weaponry from their world. they notice the guns. Gun weaponry. There are GUN weapons and tech they managed to steal or find.

Knuckles: "Look at this stuff."

Tails: "This must be the armory."

Knuckles: "Wait? Aren't some of these regular guns?"

Tails: "Yeah. And tech some tech that I know from around the world."

Sally: "How did they even get these weapons?"

Knuckles: "Seems like they been taking their precious time."

Tails takes a look at some of the technology around. He hears speaking and footsteps coming.

Tails: "Quick hide!"

They all get down hiding behind boxes as a few black arms start coming.

Black arm: "Can't believe we made it this far."

Black arm 2: "Tell me about it. I feels good knowing our presence is known, but do we actually have to go to war?"

Black arm: "We made a promise. A vow to serve the black arms."

Black arm 2: "I know. But the people of this planet?"

Black arm: "I know too. I don't like this war neither. Hell, how do we even know we'll be able win?"

Black arm 2: "I like the cause of this but what happens when we win?"

Black arm: "Don't know."

They continue walking and stop next to a crate. Sally is hiding behind the box.

Sally's conscience: "Damn!"

Black arm 2: "So what happens when we lose?"

Black arm: "They'll definitely kill us all."

Black arm 2: "All over for that black hedgehog?"

Black arm: "Which one?"

Black arm 2: "Gloom. The one who deserves to be our leader apparently."

Black arm: "what do you mean?"

Black arm 2: "We all know he doesn't deserve the leadership of it. The real leader should be Shadow."

Black arm: "Y'know it wouldn't have worked out."

Black arm 2: "Maybe you're right. But we all know it's the truth."

Black arm: "Yeah. Anyway let's move this box."

Sally quickly moves and hides behind another box. They open it up to see the gas despara commanded them to drop at the base.

Black arm 2: "It's hard to believe we would rise again."

Black arm: "I know. Well time to go drop this gas."

Knuckles sneaks up from behind and knocks one of them out.

Black arm: "What the hell!"

Sally pulls out her ring blade and aims it at the one standing neck.

Sally: "Where is sonic?"

Black arm: "What?"

Sally: "The blue hedgehog. Where is he?"

Black arm: "He's being held within one of our ships down at the bay."

Tails: "where is it exactly?"

Black arm: "Down below. 400 feet down."

A huge rumble can be heard down below.

Sally: "What are you and the black arms planning?"

Black arm: "It's a rescue mission for Gloom but it's not just that. They're planning to take out the competition within an hour."

Sally: "Competition?"

Black Arm: "The united federation. They're gonna leave this city in ruins."

Knuckles: "We need to find sonic."

Sally: "Let's tie them up. How many are down there?"

Black arm: "A lot to protect this place."

Knuckles ties up the unconscious black arm he knocked out. He gets up and looks within the box as tails is looking around.

Knuckles: "Hey, tell us about that gas."

Black arm: "Despairs wish is a chemical compound worst than chemical burn. It's scent and venom are like the paralysis black doom uses but worst. It'll burn away the skin. Make it hard to breathe. Like chlorine with poison that damages the skin. It doesn't have any effects on black arms."

Sally: "I remember she used it last night at the prison."

Knuckles: "yeah. Me and sonic had to outrun it."

Tails: "We gotta find him."

Black arm: "If I was you guys. I'd use some of this artillery in this room."

Knuckles: "And why would you help us?"

Black arm: "I'm not. Besides they all know you're on the comet. I have to report you guys."

Knuckles: "Or we could just kill you right here."

Tails: "Knuckles come on!"

Knuckles: "You seen it down there. You seen what they did to those people at the prison."

Tails: "That doesn't mean we have to be like them."

Knuckles: "Hmph.

Knuckles thinks in his head a bit. He decides to listen to tails and he lets him go.

Black arm: "I am against this in every way but I would never betray my own people."

Knuckles: "Hmph. I guess we have common thinking."

Black arm: "Shoot me in the leg."

All three: "Huh?"

Black arm: "They won't believe me."

Sally: "He's got a point."

Sally goes into one of the crates and grabs out a pistol. The black arm gets his leg ready and arm.

Black arm: "Now make sure not to hit my-"

*BANG*

Black arm: "ARGHHHHGG! WHooo! Oh that burns."

Sally: "Will you be alright?"

Black arm: "My arm. Now make sure not to hit my-"

*BANG*

Black arm: "OW! *Grunts* hurry up and get out of here."

He falls back on the wall.

Tails: "Gear up guys."

Knuckles and opens the crates. He notices a gatling gun.

Knuckles: "Oh hello."

He picks it up and notices a minigun chain clip and the box. He picks it up and sets it up on his backand carries his ammo box on his back with straps he latched. Tails opens a crate with grenades and flash bangs.

Tails: "Hmmm?"

He grabs a bag and puts a good number in his bag. He rushes around seeing what else he can use and notices something. Something big and useful.

Tails: "Thank You GUN!"

Team Chaotix

Espio gets knocked into the wall from the mother Arachne. Vector is being overwhelmed and overpowered Arachne's claws. She tries to pierce him with one of her legs. He's holding on as if his life depends on it. Big uses his fishing net and smacks away any spider that comes with him. they all swarm him as if he was being swarmed by a horde of sharks. He fights and swings out his rod. He presses a button on his fishing rod and it swings out a bobber on fire. He uses it to give him some room and push off all arachnids. He looks around for froggy.

Vector: "Hey cat! HELP US!"

Big: "Froggy? Froggy?"

Vector: "WHAT THE HECK!"

The spider pierces into his shoulder.

Vector: "ARGGHH GODDAMMIT!"

He blows a bubble out of his mouth and it floats up into the spiders face. It explodes, blinding her. he knocks her off and pushes her over to the side. He hurries to espio who has spiders crawling on him. the baby spider is face to face with him ready to bite down on him until Vector grabs it and pummels it into the ground. He fights off other Arachne spiders that try to kill him. he stomps while espio cuts his way out with the kunei. Big sends a fishing hook on the web and lights a fire. It burns the webs off him and he burst free off the wall.

Espio: "Thanks."

Big rushes away looking for froggy and hears and sees him. he hops up a bunch of rocks near the spiders nest. He hops until a baby arachnid gets in his way. Espio throws the kunei towards it and pierces it. Froggy hops towards the web and has a clear view of the emerald from the giant pillar he's on.

Froggy: "Ribbit! Ribbit!"

Espio: "What's he doing?"

Big: "I think he wants us to break the crystal looking thingy!"

Vector: "I think I see his thinking. Big smack me into the crystal."

Big: "Huh?"

Vector: "Your fishing rod! Send me towards that crystal."

Big: "Okay."

Vector jumps up into a ball. Front flipping. Big swings his rod and sends vector launching towards the crystal. The Arachne tries to spit her webs at vector to stop him but Espio rushes up to her and stabs her in her eye blinding her from the other three. Vector delivers a hard punch smashing the crystal that's holding the Cyon emerald. Froggy hops a little closer and opens his mouth wide. He flicks his tongue at the light blue gem and eats it keeping it safe like he did before.

Control Center

While the battle with the chaotix is happening an eye of doom is watching from somewhere. They scroll closer to see the frog and chaotix steal the emerald.

Black arm: "Ma'am they have the emerald."

Despara: "Send a team down there now! We will not lose the emeralds."

Team Chaotix

The Arachne manages to regain her focus again. she starts using her senses. One of her eyes is gone but she can still see her invaders of her nest heat signature.

Espio: "We got it! Lets get out of here!"

The spider walks up behind espio. He cloaks and runs away but she can still see his aurora. She spits acid at him as he dodges and ducks from being burnt. She raises her face up and screeches loud and louder than ever. A bunch of spiders and black arms come from nowhere. The soldiers stand above cave holes and take aim at them all.

Espio: "We gotta go now!"

Froggy jumps down into bigs hands and he notices the bad men with guns. Vector notices Espio uncloaking, waving, calling to him to follow. He rushes to him as big notices too.

Black arm: "Open fire!"

They start shooting at them and they manage to bail. The spiders start crawling trying to find and catch them.

Team Sonic

A bunch of black arms run towards the door. A bunch of screaming can be heard. Gunfire and black arms shouting. They reach a part of a big door that's sealed. The hallway is secured. They have orders to keep him on watch. They will not push further. It leads to the bay of release. Sonic awaits. It goes silent for a moment. The guards and soldiers of the comet point their guns to the door, awaiting for what's coming. A bang or like a punch is being smashed against it. two to three more punches are being smashed into it until it stops. An explosion goes off blowing the door towards them knocking out a few soldiers. Smoke shows a giant mech marching with it's cannons out. A yellow fox is controlling the beast. The F-6t Big Foot. Knuckles is down below with a minigun. He's armored up thanks to some of the black arms equipment. Sally is in the co seat of the F-6t Big Foot. They fire upon them as sally takes controls of the missiles.

Tails: "FIRE!"

Sally fires the missiles in the hallway blowing a lot of them away. They shoot at them as Knuckles steps up with his minigun.

Knuckles: "Time to Unload!"

He drills a lot of enemies as they walk their way down the hallway. Getting rid of any bad guy and obstacle blocking their path.

Tails: "Sonic should be beyond this hallway."

Sally: "It's a good thing you knew how to hotwire this thing."

Tails: "I learned from the best."

Sally: "Awww."

Knuckles sprays anything moving in front of him.

Knuckles: "Come and Get Some!" *laughing*

Sally: "Uhhh is he always-?"

Tails: "Yes."

They continue down the hallway until the tenticles of the black arm block their way. Sally blast it with the missiles and they are able to go through. They continue shooting whoever and whatever that stands between them. All enemies of the black arms of all kinds try to stop them but they're overwhelmed. They finally reach the door and they blast the door away.

Knuckles: "Yo sonic where are- youuuuuuuu…"

There's a whole battalion of black arms with guns pointing at them. Black bulls and black oaks standing in their way. Dragono stands in front waiting for them.

Dragono: "Hey it's you guys. Last night was great down in mazuri at the prison."

Knuckles: "Oh not this guy again."

Dragono: "Well what are you idiots waiting for? Bring the lady their heads!"

They all start firing and tails releases the gatling guns on his mech. Knuckles unleashes his minigun and sally fires at the black bulls and black wings in the air with the missles. It's a battle for control of the area.

In the ship sonic is on

Explosions and rumbling are happening outside. Sonic can hear gunfire and fighting. Screaming and noises are happening. The men in the ship he's on stop partying and grab their weapons.

Sonic: "Hey what's going on out there?"

Kylia: "I don't know."

Black arm: "Kylia, stay here and watch the hedgehog."

They exit the ship and join the fighting outside.

Team Sonic

Knuckles kills and takes cover behind some boxes from the onslaught of the black arms. Tails kills a lot and Sally make's sure to watch there backs. The big foot is taking critical damage and Sally fires upon the boxes and barrels exploding near enemies. Dragono flies up and shoots fireballs at them. knuckles fires upon him, but he maneuvers around and dodges all oncoming bullets. He flies somewhere, taking cover from the red echidna. They fight and destroy all enemies as they scatter or take cover.

Knuckles fires upon a black oak. Sally sends the missiles at the black bull taking it out.

Sally: "Where is he?"

Tails: "He's in one of these ships."

Tails marches the big foot towards the correct ship that's holding sonic as knuckles defends them from Dragono and his men. The same guards that were holding sonic are firing at them. tails mows them down as bullets also hit the ship.

Sonic

Bullets fly through the ship. Kylia jumps and grabs her gun. She points it at the door and it opens. A brownish girl enters. One he knows and loves.

Sonic: "Sally?"

Sally: "Soni-"

Kylia shoots at the door. It misses sally who ducks and pulls out her ring blade.

Sonic: "wait stop! She's friendly."

Kylia stops pointing the gun. Sally stands up to see sonic restrained. Kylia steps back.

Sally runs up and hugs him. she kisses him on the mouth. Kylia blushes and looks away for a moment.

Sally: "We thought we lost you."

Sonic: "I'm glad you found me. How did you get here?"

Sally: "Tails and knuckles."

Sonic: "Sweet. Are you okay with this Kylia."

Kylia: "I am. Just know I'm bound to the black arms."

Sonic: "You don't have to follow them you know? Come help us."

Kylia: "Don't worry, I'll cover for you. I have different plans. Just know you have friends in high places."

Sonic puts his hand out for a fist bump. Kylia doesn't know what that means but she goes along with it fist bumping him back. She goes onto the monitors doing whatever she is doing while sonic and sally walk out.

Tails: "Sonic!"

He hops out the mech to bro hug his best friend.

Sonic: "Knew you guys would find me."

They high five as knuckles walks up to see sonic.

Knuckles: "Thanks for the save back there."

Sonic: "No problem. So where are we flying?"

Tails: "We're above the GUN Fortress."

Sonic: "Where's Shadow?"

Tails: "Down there."

Sonic: "Alright. listen we need to find the leader of this place. She knows where the chaos emeralds are."

Knuckles: "Is it black doom again?"

Sonic: "Nah it was that lady we fought at the prison."

Knuckles: "Oh yeah the lady with the crystal stuff."

Sonic: "Yeah she's-"

A loud crash with screaming comes bursting above. The chaotix and big fall down into the near sonic. Big falls onto his stomach bouncing up and down with Espio landing safely. Vector lands on a box as the spider approaches the others. a bunch of black arms come from nowhere with guns and weapons. Dragono floats down with.

Sonic: "Espio?"

Espio: "Long story?"

Dragono: "Man today is like a gift. I get revenge on the bastards who beat me last night. and the guys who blew up my base."

Knuckles: "Want another taste of your next knuckles sandwich?"

Dragono: "Fuck a taste, I want the whole course."
